I was in Vancouver for a few weeks back in August. Your city was awesome.

You came at the right time. Summer and (to a lesser extent) spring is the best time in Vancouver. Every other season sucks because its always raining and its not cold enough for proper snow to fall, so most of it ends up being slush and absolutely disgusting on the roads. Its pretty much a common rule for you to complain about the weather if you live there.

Also living here is expensive, or maybe I'm just cheap.

I like the rain. Which is why I love Vancouver... and Seattle for that matter. Vancouver in the winter is wonderful anyhow. You get the rain, and great snow in the mountains for skiing.
