President Shahadi resigns after making statement about war in Jurzan

President Shahadi arrived at Central Government Block several hours ago to make his official response to the Supreme Court's ruling that the war in Jurzan was unconstitutional. Shahadi, surrounded by his advisers and his wife, apologized for betraying the constitution of the Fulani Federal Republic and announced his resignation from the Presidency. After his emotional speech, Shahadi was escorted to his limousine by his advisers and driven away to an unknown location. Chief Justice Khalid al-Azma is expected to ask congress to pull all troops out of Western Talemantros, then allow congress to appoint a new president to complete Shahadi's term as outlined in the constitution. Speculation is already growing who will become the new president, one potential candidate is Ministry of Civil Affairs and former Mayor of Al Fulayyah Bashir al-Otari. Bashir made strong reforms in government management in Al Fulayyah and could become the next President. Despite speculation, the Supreme Court has not made any decisions as of yet.

The Commonwealth government strongly encourages the Fulanistani "powers-that-be" in continuing this pull-out from the Talemantine war of aggression against Jurzan.

Pictured: Potential Presidential candidate Bashir al-Otari
Bashir al-Otari most likely to become next President says Chief Justice Khalid al-Azma

After some speculation, Chief Justice Khalid al-Azma has announced the Supreme Court's decision to ednorse Bashir al-Otari as the next President of Fulanistan. al-Azma claims al-Otari has strong credentials, including improving economic situations and practicing good governance during his term as Mayor of Al Fulayyah. Most recently he has been the Minister of civil affairs, and has managed to keep relative stability during recent political strife. Bashir is not registered in any party and considers himself an independent. Due to this, he will have to win as many votes as possible in the congress, but the NRC has similar views to his as seen in past decisions so he will most likely be supported by them.

We second the statement made by the Cornavian Government and we hope that Fulanistan returns to the family of nations without further loses in their citizens.

We welcome the decision of Fulanistans supreme court, which also serves to prevent possible aggressions between our two nations. Carentania will return to normal diplomatic relations with Fulanistan, now that Fulanistani participation in the Talemantine acts of imperialism is off the table.

The wise judgement of the Supreme Court brings the prospect of peace and stability in Himyar closer. We urge Talemantros to follow Fulanistan in withdrawing from the Jurzan and allow the newly liberated nation to flourish and prosper. There is no reason for Talemantine aggression towards the Jurzan.

Bashir al-Otari quietly sworn in as President

After more than a week after Former President Shahadi stepped down, The supreme court quietly swore in Bashir al-Otari as President earlier today. al-Otari gave a small speech after being sworn in, calling for reforms to the current system rather than rapid change to right or left wing governments which he says could destroy the unstable but prosperous economy of Fulanistan. He announced his plan for a government run by the 3 P's: Privatization, Protection, and Preservation. He says he will Privatize more industry allow for more investment, Protect and stabilize social order throughout the country, and Preserve strong and necessary government sectors such as Health and Education. Public reaction to the new president has been rather mixed, with most being optimistic about the economy while being overall apathetic about the actual change in administration. Political Analyst Markus van der Plank says that the reaction is typical of Fulanistani's, noting previous elections such as the elections of van der Berg, and Shahadi.

President Bashir al-Otari abandons Paris meetings

In response to the recent disaster at the Paris-SEEDTO meetings, President al-Otari has decided to abandon the meeting due to the allegations made my Belmont who was hosting the event. President al-Otari told Representatives from Belmont that they were meddling in the affairs of the organization and that they had no right doing so. Soon after, he left the meeting he went to meet with Cakistani officials to discuss the meeting. He is expected to be home in Al Fulayyah later this week. His response is one of many that is stirring controversy over the incident involving the death of three Umbazi teenagers in Ascalon. Officials from Belmont slammed SEEDTO for not resolving the issue despite claims from SEEDTO that the alliance is working on a resolution to the problem.

The independence in Jurzan is also causing a rift, as Jurzan quietly ignores Hajr and Carentania after they sent aid and troops to fight the independence war against Akhaltsikhe. The Hajri Hornbeobatcher quotes a high-level functionary in the foreign Diwan saying that Jurzan should be on its knees thanking them, and that they nation has allied with its former enemies, including Fulanistan which originally fought with Talemantros against the country. Even though Fulani troops were deployed to the region, they never engaged Jurzan allied troops and combat orders were quickly squashed multiple times before they were given. President al-Otari is expected to make an official statement when he returns from Belmont.

AFNN seems to have serious difficulties distinguishing the press from His Majesty's Government, which never made any such comments as are depicted in this AFNN report. The Hornbeobachter is a privately held newspaper with which we have no ties, and whatever is published in it in no way influences or represents official Hajri policy. We demand an immediate rectification from AFNN for this error.

We apologize for any errors in regards to misinformation, however we consider the facts published in Hornbeobatcher to be relevant, as they quote a high-level functionary from within the foreign Diwan which is where the basis of our report originates. We will alter the article as such, but in our defense the newspaper Hornbeobatcher was not clearly distinguished as being independent from State media.

Diwan of Foreign Affairs

Hornbeobachter cites two anonymous characters as the sources of its words, supposedly functionaries of the Diwan of Foreign Affairs. These are not verifiable sources, and as such cannot be taken seriously.

As for the independent nature of the newspaper in question, this is obvious to any with even passing knowledge of Hajri media.
