31. May. 1955 The Imperial Government is saddened to hear of the sinking of three ships belonging to the Sikandari company CCT Transport. We hope that the Eiffellander Military can shed light on the fates of the 60 crew members, 40 humanitarian aid workers and 90 doctors who were aboard these vessels. The Embassy of Sikandara in Trier is being contacted with the details of each of these individuals to assist the Eiffellander government in their efforts to identify the victims of this tragedy. When speaking of an impartial international coalition, the word impartial is taken with great concern. The nations selected by Galindia turn our doubts and concerns into serious threats. @

is a nation currently embarking on a mass genocide of workers in a fabricated “red scare” that is designed to eliminate all opposition to the capitalist domination of that land. We simply do not see how a nation so committed to murdering communists can remain impartial in investigating a nation that triumphs on their fears of worker liberation. The Kingdom of @

and the United Communes have had a cold relationship since the establishment of the Aurarine Commune in 1891. Throughout our history, our nations have clashed in every way short of armed conflict. It is by no means possible that Eiffelland can remain impartial. The United Communes would officially make the following alterations to the international commission: 1) The removal of Bourgogne and Eiffelland from the Commission 2) The addition of the Workers’ Republic of @

and Auraria. It is the belief of our government that such alterations will ensure transparency and impartiality in the investigation of the incident. Simply put, the United Communes cannot accept a Commission that is created and operated under conditions lacking of the three made above. The Aurarine Government, working on behalf of the people, fully believes that these alterations are noncontroversial and a suitable compromise. At any rate, it is the hope of the Aurarine Government that an international commission will be able to divulge accurate information from the Empire of Sikandara, which has since been secretive and unwilling. Auraria has already prepared our official documents to circulation amongst the international commission, should our alterations be agreed upon. Cayetano A. bajo la autorización del Consejo de los Commissarios del Pueblo Clasificación: Sin clasificado, clasificado, secreto, secreto superior 1 de junio de 1955 Senate and People of the Edessine Empire, The United Communes of the Aurarine State finds the phrase “one cannot have their pie and eat it too,” in this diplomatic correspondence as beneath the prestige of a sovereign nation and an insult to the United Communes for the rather condescending nature of the phrase. However, the Edessine Empire brings up the point of neutrality once more, claiming that the proposal of the Aurarine State would diminish the neutrality as opposed to strengthen it. Let us analyze this point. The United Communes has requested the removal of the Kingdoms of Eiffelland and Bourgogne, while the nations of Galindia, Heroquoia, and Volkova remain. The removal of Eiffelland and Bourgogne has been requested on the basis that the Aurarine State does not feel the nations may remain impartial given their overtly hostile attitudes towards communism has an ideology. Claiming that these nations can remain impartial is admitting ignorance of current affairs and the histories our countries share. Secondly, the Aurarine State asked for the inclusion of the Workers’ Republic of Carentania, the only other communist nation on the planet. The Edessine Empire has denounced this claim as overtly biased and impeding on the neutrality of the international commission, throwing it in favor of Auraria. If our alterations are not met, then five capitalist nations – each interconnected through trade, all but one of the five crown kings, and all of them are victims of the same bourgeois democracy that plagues the working class. Naturally, they are all enemies of the working class, or communism, and several have expressed or acted in a negative sense towards workers’ liberations. The inclusion of your Empire to the commission makes 6 capitalist nations, 5 of which crown kings, all of which have an interest in the dismantling of communism. Auraria has requested that the most extreme anti-communist countries be removed, leaving three, and adding one communist nation. It is the belief of the Aurarine Government that the addition of one communist nation with three capitalist nations is unfair to our government, but this is the compromise we offer. In any case, Auraria will not allow a commission of five capitalist Kings and one bourgeois democracy to investigate. Cayetano A. 1. June. 1955 The efforts of the Aurarine Government to displace two respected members of the international community from the Commission proposed by Galindia are absolutely unacceptable. The integrity and impartiality of these two nations cannot be questioned. Historically, both, Eiffelland and Bourgogne have played an absolutely vital role in mediation and have conducted themselves with the dignity becoming of a truly civilized nation. Having considered the demands of the Aurarine Government to include the Worker's Republic of Carentania, I cannot find myself willing to concede that they are capable of the kind of neutrality this matter requires. We believe that the original proposal issued by Galindia is the best group of nations to investigate the situation. Further, I absolutely object to the kind of language used by the message from the Aurarine Foreign Ministry against the anti-insurgency operations taking place in the Green Peninsula by the forces of the Grand Duchy of Bourgogne. The norms of international diplomacy should be followed when issuing official communications. Mir Rustam Ghaznavi Grand Councillor for Diplomatic Affairs |
bajo la autorización del Consejo de los Commissarios del Pueblo Clasificación: Sin clasificado, clasificado, secreto, secreto superior 1 de junio de 1955 Rudiger Holst, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Galindian Union, The inclusion of the Grand Duchy of Bourgogne, given their hostile campaign, was an insult to the impartiality of any investigation concerning the United Communes of the Aurarine State. Their removal from the commission is seen to be agreeable from the perspective of the United Communes. For this, we thank the Galindian Union. The United Communes also will accept the inclusion of the Kingdom of Eiffelland, given the nation’s historical role in mediation – despite the relationship our two countries share. Often times, more rational, calmer heads have prevailed in Eiffelland over the ideological barking. The exclusion of Carentania is concerning and regrettable to the United Communes. Despite the exclusion of the Workers’ Republic of Carentania, the United Communes must agree that an agreed upon consensus must be made in regards to the deaths of 150 people in the Long Sea. To that end, the United Communes agrees to the international commission’s composition with the exclusion of the Grand Duchy of Bourgogne. Much dissimilar to the Empire of Sikandara, documents concerning the events on the side of Auraria have been public for days. The United Communes is committed to maintaining that transparency and will provide all necessary documents for the commission’s analysis. However, we will stand firm on protecting the identities of the 600 Sikandari refugees currently living in Auraria, for reasons concerning their safety. We do hope that the commission finds this move agreeable, as Auraria will not compromise the safety of its people. Cayetano A. 2. June. 1955 We seek to correct the statement made by my counterpart from Auraria, all relevant documents from Sikandara concerning this issue have been presented to the concerned capitals. At no point in time has Sikandara been evasive or anything other than transparent. We accept that the Imperial Government did not engage the world press with the dossiers but recent reports in international publications, such as the European Press Association, have reported freely on the matter, without any censure on our part. The Government of Auraria is engaging in a global misinformation campaign meant to discredit Sikandara internationally. But this conspiracy shall fail. We place our full trust in the International Commission. Mir Rustam Ghaznavi Grand Councillor for Diplomatic Affairs |
