KS4 Postponed and Travel Restriction
​

After long hours of discussion the Military has announced that they plan to postpone the KS4 due to "High tensions in the region last seen since the last Great War." With forces mounting the borders of several nations it seems clear that war may be eminent and the announcement of the postponing of the KS4 is not a surprise. A date is yet to be determined due to the tensions mounting.

Also an alert has been sent out to embassies warning Geotrian Citizens to return home at due haste, flights to nations at war with each other have been canceled and Geotrian Embassies have opened shelter for Geotrian Citizens to remain in until it is safe for them to return home.

A World Split by War

The armed forces of several major and minor nations have begun the mobilization process and have war has been declared. With Kadikistani and Xinhese forces in the east appearing to divide Trivodnia and

with plans to invade Occitania. And the Trier Concordat expected soon to declare war on all three nations, the world has fell into another major war. Militarily our nation and its allies do not plan on intervening on this conflict, but diplomatically no clear answer has been found.

A long fostering anti-sentiment against Communism has become deep rooted in the lives of many from the Dictatorship that ruled for half of the 20th Century, and a reluctance to go against major powers from half a world away has people questioning themselves and the Government on what it should do. The Unterhaus is expected to meet within the week to discuss preparations necessary and possible actions that can be made, like opening up refugee camps.

It is unclear what the World will look like after the chaos ensues but through determination Geotri and Her People will remain, steadfast and ready to brave this new world.

Unterhaus Proposes Opening up Border Refugee Camps
​

The Unterhaus has proposed legislation for opening up Refugee Camps along the border for residents fleeing their homes from being invaded. It is more a symbolic move of neutrality than means to properly protect people fleeing war as the war is far from the borders, but the legislation does state that other nations may move refugees to Geotri to relieve border nations of the high strain posed on them. Refugees are to be given Non-Residency Partial Citizenship, meaning that they can not vote while within Geotri or have to pay most Federal Taxes, while simultaneously allowed to work within Refugee Camps and pay a direct tax to help maintain the camps. This tax does not apply to those not working and is a per household tax.

A member of the Unterhaus has stated that, " This is the most efficient and productive way of allowing refugees to live a life of partial normalcy while waiting for conflict to subside." They also may sign up for full citizenship and live wherever they please withing the nation or return to their home country after the war subsides.

KS4 Is Back On
​

In a recent press conference, the military announced that the KS4 is no longer postponed and shall include the Armed Forces of both Elben and Gunnland. The location has yet to be announced to the public, but is rumored to be somewhere in the North-West. Construction of the town has reportedly been under construction prior to the postponement and is scheduled to finish within the week.

Last of the Refugee Camps to have be finished Tomorrow
​

With the announcement of the bill being proposed on the 6th of July, and its subsequent passing the following week, the construction of the refugee camps has begun with humanitarian aid workers and volunteers assisting the refugees construct safe and secure temporary homes and distributing the partial citizenship and assigning work to help assist the new refugees. Most of the smaller camps were completed in the following weeks and the last of the larger camps is set to be finished tomorrow, with small shops littered throughout the camps where primarily local foods from the refugees homelands are made and sold.
