Royal Council nullifies Lagting vote​ Lagting vote with has no official or legal bearingMootings of a 'Dual Monarchy'Statement of Intent delivered​ Henrik Kierkegaard Christiansborg The pronouncement by the Kristiania-based assembly, the Lagting, in favour of HKH Princess Lovisa of Suionia becoming monarch of Agderrige has been ruled constitutionally null and void and legally unacceptable by the Royal Council of State, now with remit over the Realm of Agder and Fey, in a shot across the bows of the assembly for breaching its remit and violating protocol but likely to deepen the tensions in the Accession Crisis. "Lagtinget has no jurisdiction over the Accession and whilst it may indicate preferences, its decisions, as per existing law, have no purchase. Whilst we respect indications of the tentative reflection of popular sentiment, the body has exceeded its powers and has acted both irresponsibly and violated the the concrete borders of its powers as well as the spirit in which it was established by King Haakon", stated the Royal Council in a delivery. The Lagting, a limited assembly body, was inculcated under the late Haakon V and designed to be an approximate, if imperfect, litmus test of popular sentiment but never enshrined with full legislative or law-making powers. Members of the Royal Council landed in Kristiania ahead of the landfall of their majesties with Grand Dame Rasmussen, the incumbent High Sovereign Excellency of the Court of St Ansgaard to Kristiania, the highest tier of diplomatic representation with the post only existing in seven other countries, presenting a Hensigtserklæring, or Statement of Intent, a hefty 1247 page document, to the Queen Dowager and the Lagting party in a nod to the direction the Danes intend to take in Agderrige ~ respect for the legacy of Haakon V and maintenance of his initiatives such as the Lagting. Although not all details are known at this stage, there is a clear wish to deepen and extend the Lagting into a legislative parliament, much like the Danish Folkhuset, expanding the current forty members via the creation of a Royal Commission charged with creating electoral constituencies based on demographics. Further, the Royal Council has urged transfer of many of the powers held by the monarch to an expanded Lagting, with the armed forces of his Agderrige realm paying allegiance to him as King of Agder and Fey and Head of the Armed Forces in a personal link; discussion of a Personal Union of the Crowns of Danmark, Agder and Fey under a new constitutional apparatus of Dual Monarchy, with a much looser and freer arrangement sought by the Royal Council leaving room for a possibly extended Lagting acting on his behalf, the King becoming a constitutional as opposed to an authoritarian monarch, in line with Danish tradition. Also announced, was a several million shilling grant to be delivered for the alleviation of poverty and for economic and infrastructure investment, greatly helping the poorest of the Scanian Family and a sign of 'togetherness' from the Danes to their Agder blood brethren. But the issue of religion remains a significant bone of contention in Agderrige. Danmark, a traditionally and nominally protestant nation, has no official state church, following disestablishment in 1944. The Lagting vote has been judged problematic on these grounds as the presumption is that the King is a protestant but it is unknown what His Majesty professes in faith, if at all. But certainty over faith is seen as important to most Adgerrigers giving rise to significant rumours, so far officially unsubstantiated, that the King may seek to maintain the legitimate accession rights ~ but not via himself, but through HKH The Prince Imperial, Prince Constantine, the royal family's only professed, conservative and devout adherent to the tenets of Catholicism, by renouncing his claim in favour of Prince Constantine. He, alongside his Franconian-born wife, Princess Petra, may prove a significant way out of the question of religion but there are hints that the Prince may have to renounce his claim to the Danish Vermilion Throne. His Majesty the King of Danmark, Agder and Fey, is due to make landfall in a few days and visit the royal family and also address the Lagting in the native tongue, in what for most is judged to be a momentous first visit as monarch. Rygaard homestead attacked by nationalists​ Ulf Sweinn Skidelsby, nr Nyborg The homestead of the Rygaard family, which left Danmark in 1857, has been attacked by Danish nationalists in what has been described as a "cowardly and dastardly assault upon one of the nation's illustrious fellows". Nationalists daubed the eighteenth century stone and thatch building, properly called Hibiscus Cottage, in pig's blood, smashed its windows, broke down the doors, and lit fire to the roof by throwing petroleum, according to forensics, upon the dry roof and then setting it alight. The intensity of the heat effectively made parts of the building collapse. "A beautiful, but humble farming cottage, the home of forebears of the Sylvanian president, has been effectively destroyed", the Treasurer of the Danish Historical Trust, Birk Boesen cried. "This building is part of nineteenth century Danish history. It is part and parcel of the history of the disapora to the Occident. It has a lineage as it is the family home of the Rygaard family, the President of Sylvania. I cannot recount to you my sorrow in words just now". The restoration of the homestead, vacant, but a tourist attraction and managed by the Danish Historical Trust, is expected to run into several thousand shillings derived from funds. But some nationalists have called for the restoration of the building to be ignored. "Why spend rigskillings on a dull farmhouse which has little consequence when there are much more beautiful buildings to plough money into? This rickety, burned down, peasant building has little demand for hard-earned money or charity", lambasted a member of the Hjemland party, currently the dominant party in the Quinpartite Coalition. But the preservation of historical relics is likely to win through as the Historical Trust has already assigned money to the restoration of the 'Rygaard Farmhouse'. Reported 'fierce resistance' to Danish Raigestan onslaught​ Torsteinn Fulk Dara, Partherriget There are consistant reports of heavy and protracted anti-aircraft fire by besieged Raigestani communist diehards against a heavy bombardment by Danish aircraft as the island regime is reported to be 'near collapse'. Several weeks of targetted bombing of the capital of Raigestan and military, communication, and government centres have seriously detracted the ability of the regime to link up to put up a greater resistance, so claimed the War Ministry, but that the 'fanaticism' was proving harder to crush than first thought with now seven aircraft shot down and four deaths. The Kongelige Danske Marine has sealed the narrow straits linking the White Sea to the Sindh preventing reinforcements to beleaguered Raigestan, whilst the straits have been mined by the Miroslavs to hinder a naval advance towards Miroslavl by the Danes. Talks are understood to be imminent between Danmark and Sikandara to put more pressure upon Miroslavl, an announcement from the Foreign Ministry indicated today, but it is clear that the War Ministry and the government do not intend to let up in the operation upon the island. "There is a close to 85% chance of taking the island within the next month or so with landforces to be dropped within days", stated Minister of War, Hr Axel-Fogh.

Henrik Westerveld is due to to meet in a special conference with Premier Benedykt Stukow of the Upper Swiecziema to discuss final arrangements of the Dano-Sarmartian Compact II, or 'Second Compact', in the capital city of Giecz next week. A historical foreign position, the Sarmatian Doctrine was heralded in 1843 in an attempt to hem in the Germanian block and preserve what was judged at the time as a constant danger to the toe-hold that the Scanian Danes had in Lotharingia. Some critics judged the Doctrine to be an arch-exercise in paranoia, but supporters argued and continue to argue that it is a grand exercise in 'essential watchfulness and status quo'. Whilst the doctrine retains a wariness towards Lothars, the Doctrine has taken on a new perspective as the threat of communism and post-delegationism encroaches from the High East with particular respect of Miroslaval and Touzenist effects on weak, and implosionist, states. The conference, long in the making and following protracted talks between the tripartite of foreign ministries, is expected to see long-standing arrangements of significant gravitas that will hold a bearing not only on the traditional issue of Lotharingian aggrandisement but upon the perils of the 'High East threats' to civility and progress. "The Doctrine sees a new era and it must be flexible enough to deal with the current threats that surround all us decent and noble peoples", Hr Westerveld pointed out. The Second Compact is expected to be a significant issue in Dano-Sarmatian affairs in current times. Alongside the encroachment from the High East, the Danes are looking to reinvigorate the counterbalance to Lotharingian aspirations. The latent 'seeping' of Lothars into the Principality of Karlovia has been judged with concern, though, at the current level, seen as harmless, though Christiansborg has indicated that it has no particular interests in interfering in legitimate and peaceful bilateral relations between the Wiesers and Karlovians but that it shall keep a watchful eye on the situation. Foreign Office 'dismayed' on Potenzo-Sikandari fallout Mary Torp-Rahbek San Salvo, the Grand Duchy A diplomatic and increasingly heated spat has broken out between two of the Realm's traditional allies over the Sikandari Faisal Dam, with the Old Quarter stating that aside from acting as a friendly mediator, that it will keep out of the bilateral dispute as both nations are seen as friends to the Kingdom. The Grand Duchy has reacted with an out-of-character hubris, to some, over the snub by Sikandara over the dam project in favour of an official Danish pledge. "This lamentable dispute sees two allies at logger-heads and this is displeasing to the eye", exclaimed Hr Westerveld, in Queen Birgitte Airport before his departure for Giecz. "I, and the government, sincerely hope that an agreement can be reached. It is not at all pleasurable to see two of our traditional and loyal friends engage in such diplomatic assaults upon each other. For the peace, we hope they may find some settlement. I am more than willing, in my capacity, to help a meeting of hands". To many assembled journalists, the thirty-year-old foreign minister appeared unusually exasperated and irked at the headache of a diplomatic fight between the two nations. Ier flood assistance for Parthians​ ​ Lombard Fritz The Old Quarter, Christiansborg Members of the Engineer Corps of the Danish Army are to be sent to help assist in defending residents located along the mighty Ier River, it was announced today. Two thousand troops will help calm the river by helping to dig canals, dredge silt, and build levees to contain the annual floods which blight low-lying areas of Partherriget and provide technical assistance to the authorities. The legislature of the people of Adgerike have spoken on their decision and the Danish Kingdom should respect it. This nullification provides the wrong incentives for future successions with the Monarchist World.

Let it be known that the Republic will not tolerate any intervention by Danmark upon the Nordic Kingdom as it will only increase the instability of a region in which Republican soldiers are station.

The Imperial Government takes note of the precarious situation in Scania and stands in solidarity with the Danish Royal Council of State – as it is our opinion that the succession issue is a matter for the governments Danmark, Agder and Fey to resolve amongst themselves, with foreign scrutiny unhelpful for the proper resolution of the matter at hand.

The Imperial Government, additionally, takes note of the continuing situation in Raigestan with grave concern and this office shall be in communication with the Danish Ambassador to Shahdara to properly judge the situation and work to bring peace in the region – as soon as possible.

In closing, The Imperial Government would like to reiterate its support for a true ally of the Sikandari people and its continued desire to improve and strengthen this bilateral relationship.

Most sincere greetings in the name of the Most High Almighty God.

We welcome your emissary, the most honourable Hr. Henrik Westerveld, to our humble city of Giecz, for the final arrangements of the Second Dano-Sarmatian Compact this week. This meeting is without a doubt, a crucial event in the continued strengthening of our bond as allies, the renewal and much needed modernisation of an ancient covenant of reverence. While the German powers in Lotharingia slowly wake from their slumber, perhaps to see the dawn of new ways, we nevertheless maintain our vigilant caution with dealing with them.

Indeed, the rising threat of Communism and Post-Delegationism in the world truly is a sign of the need for our two great nations to continue striving together and rally in the defence of civilisation. The Miroslavan Horde's stretching of its slimy tentacles into our own sacred lands has galvanised our people, and the recent stranglehold that the Rijekan junta had placed on our friendly attempts to provide the Jurzan with armaments to protect their own independence has reminded us of the greater role we must play in the state of Europe. On this, we give you our highest commendations for your noble efforts to liberate the communist-oppressed island of Raigestan. As I write this, materiel and supplies are being loaded onto freight trains for transportation to Christiansborg, in order to provide as much assistance as possible, while our forces continue to drive Miroslavan troops from our lands. There is also how the post-delegationist chaos in Boliatur must be stemmed, and civilisation returned to its suffering people.

It is clear as the finest diamond that we must update the tenets of the agreement, reinforce the links of the chain that binds us together, in order to more effectively combat the Red Menace and chaotic forces of anarchy. We give our best assurance that Hr. Westerveld will receive our finest accommodations and that we shall give his time the utmost value. The Second Dano-Sarmatian Compact will strengthen our ties and provide Europe with a more powerful bulwark against the twin dragons of communism and post-delegationism.

We also send our best tidings to His Royal Majesty, King Frederick of Danmark, Agder and Fey, as he makes his journey to Kristiania to establish a most just and fair monarchial system that honours both Royal Law and the wishes of the Agder people. May God protect him on his arrival and stay, and may this momentous event proceed peacefully and safely, for the sake of continued stability in the North.

An Extension of The Queen-Empress' Statement in Council.
DULWICH, SUNDAY, 17th DECEMBER 1952​

TO THE KING, LORDS, AND COMMONERS OF THE KINGDOM OF DANMARK
I am instructed to DELIVER on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty;​

The way in which the Kingdom of Danmark has proceeded to engage the circumstance of Agderike Succession has made it necessary for the official opinion of her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet, with regard to what is taking place, to be stated.

Her Majesty the Queen-Empress Charlotte of Great Engellex is aware that the Borussian Power – that is to say, the Kingdom of Danmark – having declined to accede to the representations of the people of the Kingdom of Agderike and Fey in respect of the succession, entered on what the Empire of Great Engellex considers a most unjustifiable aggression. I say a most unjustifiable aggression, because it has been generally laid down, with the recognition by Europe of the victory of Great Engellex over the European Defence Federation, that, whatever cause of disagreement may exist on the part of one State against another, that right of aggression and war must be postponed until a sufficient circumstance arises that would find such a course of conduct necessary; but only in defence of the self-determination of the State. Now, in the case of which we are speaking, though co-operation between the Lagting at Kristiania and the Danish Parliament has yet to be mutually established to resolve this crisis, it was the sovereign right of the Kingdom of Agderike and Fey to determine, independently of European Powers, through the representation of the kingdom within the Lagting, the position of the kingdom in respect of Danish assertions in regard to the succession.

I ought to mention, as there was a deliberate intent for incompleteness in the statement made formerly by myself in relation to the Agderike Succession, that the Empire of Great Engellex does not find it necessary, by our constitution, to recognise laws of natural succession. Having brought the statement to this point, I consider that the Lagting would have been fully justified in taking either of the two courses in respect of the succession. The Royal Council of State, however, from the diplomatic and public communication lines available to Dulwich, appears to maintain that the Kingdom of Danmark has a justified cause for aggression against the Saamiskavian kingdom which, having ordered a Danish Fleet to arrive outside the city of Kristiania, had not confined its conduct to the proper responsibilities in relation to not formally communicating its intention to her Majesty the Queen-Empress or any of her Majesty’s Secretaries of the Imperial Cabinet, but had permitted, had encouraged, had favoured the assumption of the sovereignty of that kingdom by a king that appears to have not succeeded in forming a strong lobby in support of his succession.

Her Majesty the Queen-Empress Charlotte of Great Engellex has therefore determined, which the Council of State agrees justly, that the Empire of Great Engellex does, indeed, have a cause for great concern against the Kingdom of Danmark, and has signed the following orders to be enforced by her Majesty’s Royal Engellexic Navy and the Royal Engellexic Air Force :-

The Royal Engellexic Navy shall impose a blockade of the Solent; barring all Danish warships from entering the Solent. Vessels of the Danish Merchant Fleet will not be hindered by her Majesty’s warships.

The Royal Engellexic Navy will commence a patrol of the Straits of Svea; no formal blockade or restrictions will be imposed, however.

The Royal Engellexic Air Force has been ordered to mobilise for aerial patrols across the Solent and the Straits of Svea.​

Her Majesty the Queen-Empress Charlotte of Great Engellex extends a guarantee, on behalf of the Empire of Great Engellex, upon the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Agderike and Fey; and urges the European Powers to find agreement in the necessity of official dialogue between the States, in the form of a conference.

This action by Danmark is a direct violation of the sovereignty of the Agderike and in direct combat with the wishes and orders of King Haakon V, all intentions by Danmark respect his legacy are lies and slander to the greatest degree. These actions seek only to further destabilize the region into war once again, a destabilization we suspect was the plan all along. To continue on this dangerous path is to invite war to the doorsteps of the innocent people of Agder. We will not condone this distasteful and evil act of aggression. Perhaps the wretched King Frederik does not care, but for every nautical mile his cursed fleet travels, the Agderike is brought closer to civil war.

Once again we voice our neutrality in the matter of the succession to the Throne of Agderike, because we consider that matter to be an issue between King Frederick and the people of Agderike. However, we are deeply concerned about the sea blockade announced by the government of Engellex. Despite the indications that the blockade in question is only targeted at Danish military vessels, we fear for consequences to international sea trade.

Here, by proclamation and grace - The King!

"I speak to you as your King. As King, inheriting Three Crowns of State, I take an immense and profound duty, care and regard for all the peoples of my Realms both near and far, stretched as they are across five continents of the globe, three Realms, two integral but off-flung lands, and a Commonwealth-Dominion, in amidst the mortal realm upon which we all dwell and share. A task sometimes most impossible, but not entirely, and one at least tested and, indeed, pursued.

Upon the death of my blessed, gracious and noble father, one that lent great succour, His Danic Majesty The King, Henrik the Thirteenth, who reigned for forty-seven years, I incurred the Responsibilities of State in a manner to which one accepted with grace and, I hope, aplomb. One cannot communicate the weighty and loadsome burden I carry and maintain as king, and one cannot divulge the heavy duties and expectation that the arising to the position of King implies and to which one must endure, one that has added pressure due to my unexpected accession to the Throne of the Realm of Agder and Fey in circumstances that are most terrible.

As king, this has incurred a burden to my peoples in that Realm which has been judged with a great suffering of the population. My peoples cry greatly in the aftermath of the death of my beloved cousin, the Late King, His Agderric Majesty The King Haakon the Fifth, and there is much calamity in issuance. For me, this is a most depressing turn of events which personally strikes most boldly at my heart. But I cannot forget my obligations to my peoples in my Realm of Agder and Fey. To that, I am obliged and suffer the Noble and Grand responsibilities of State. As monarch of Danmark, Agder and Fey, and the Territories, the Three Crowns as One, this is my responsibility howsoever it be an immense burden upon one's fragile and only too simple and human shoulders.

To my Realm of Agder and Fey, I pledge my allegiance. This is the least that I can do. To my peoples there, as Monarch and unexpected successor to His Majesty Haakon, I share your suffering and I share your grief and it is unfortunate that I will not be able to speak to you in person as the situation there has become most difficult for all. But I shall do my best to retain your honour, your virtue, your nobility, and as a friend and brother to all the Scanians. As the leader of the Scanian Peoples, as many suppose, I shall indeed wed myself to the maintenance of these most grand and noble virtues in my Agder Realm.

On behalf of Danmark, Great and Small, on behalf of the territories, one remains at best a carrier of history, a shepherd of tradition, a representative-commensurate of our peoples however and in whatever scope they reside and possess. In my nod to diversity, I am proud. The pride of the Great Family of the Danish Nation remains embedded and most securely and emblazoned, indeed inscribed, into my heart."

It is with much interest that we in Einsiedeln have received your memorandum on the development of bilateral ties between the Great Danish Realm and the Imperial Principality of West Saxony. It is with pleasure that we accept the kind Danish offer to hold in Einsiedeln talks on further bilateral progress once an initial agenda is agreed upon by the Parties.

We propose that such talks be held after the New Year celebrations are done, which shall leave the Parties ample time to discuss the agenda and work out preliminary agreements.

In response to Your Excellency's memorandum, I have the authority to state the following:

1. That the Danish linguistic minority of the Ausserrhoden Government District comprises a portion of the native residents of the Imperial Principality of West Saxony, bestowed with all the rights and privileges of Citizens of the Wieserreich and of Nationals of West Saxony. As all West Saxons they are entitled to the same political, economic, social and cultural rights, without any differentiation from Saxons, Franconians, or representatives of other linguistic and cultural groups inhabiting West Saxony and bearing the citizenship of Wiese.

As West Saxons, they delve within the unitary political framework of West Saxony and must abide by the same rules and obligations as any other citizen in any other part of the Imperial Principality, including the use of the Principality's only official language (German) and following the Principality's officially established educational curriculum. The Government of West Saxony does not forbid the establishment of privately or community funded evening classes and cultural events for the Danish linguistic minority, just as it does not forbid similar events for representatives of other linguistic and cultural minorities.

The Great Danish Realm is, thus, kindly requested to clarify further its position on the matter as what exactly is sought to achieve in this area.

2. That the term “West Saxons” does not denote and has never been used to denote a separate ethnic or cultural group, but is rather the political denomination for the inhabitants and nationals of the Imperial Principality of West Saxony. The ethnic and cultural majority of West Saxons is comprised of Saxons adhering to the Reformed Church of West Saxony. Saxons of the Catholic faith, Franconians of the Lutheran faith, Danes of the Catholic faith in Ausserrhoden and others also comprise the collective that is called West Saxons.

Due to the constitutional and legal arrangements between the Crown of Wiese and the Imperial Principality of West Saxony, matters pertaining to the rights of the Saxon and Swabian communities within the Great Danish Realm should be brought to the table of discussions directly between the Greant Danish Realm and the Wieser Empire, as it is not the competence of West Saxony to discuss such issues. This said, the Government of West Saxony holds the cultural issues of Saxons, regardless of origin, religion or place of dwelling, close to the heart and shall gladly partake in any discussions between the Great Danish Realm and the Wieser Empire.

3. The Government of the Imperial Principality of West Saxony reiterates its continued gratitude to the Great Danish Realm for the continued subsidized supply of energy to the Government District of Ausserrhoden, which allows the “Industrial Services for the Aargau and Ausserrhoden” company to more efficiently redistribute power from national sources throughout the region of the Lower and Upper Aargau and the Ausserrhoden. This in turns allows the utility company to generally reduce prices on electricity throughout West Saxony's southern Alpine regions. Weather and climate in these regions can be especially rough during winter, which makes the generosity of the Danish subsidies and the indirect effect it has on consumers throughout the entire region even more appreciated.

The Government of West Saxony understands the concerns of the Government of the Great Danish Realm and would be happy to assist in talks between the “Industrial Services for the Aargau and Ausserrhoden”, a West Saxon public utilities company, and the managing authority of the Prins Jorgen reservoir to review the contract between the two with the aim of working out a better pricing strategy. The Government of West Saxony wishes such talks to be held keeping in mind the necessity to shield the customers from unpredicted hikes in electricity prices, especially concerning the ongoing winter season.

The signing of such a renegotiated contract as part of the upcoming talks in Einsiedeln would be a great opportunity to forward West Saxon-Danish economic cooperation and would be an example to the world of how matters are resolved pragmatically, rather than emotionally.

4. The Government of West Saxony agrees with the need for an efficient and up to date road transport network to connect the two neighbors through the Alps. Moreover, within the powers of economic action granted to the Imperial Principality, West Saxony would like to explore deeper projects, such as expanding the railroad infrastructure and the construction of additional rail and road tunnels to link West Saxony to Danmark. Thus, on this end does the Imperial Principality also find itself in agreement with the Great Danish Realm and hopes for productive talks that yield tangible results for the benefit of the people of West Saxony, of Wiese and of Danmark.

5. The issue of the demarcation of the border is a most political matter and West Saxony must refer the Great Danish Realm to the Imperial Foreign Affairs Ministry in Augsburg. It is the understanding of West Saxony that the West Saxon portion of the border between the Wieser Empire and the Great Danish Realm has remained unchanged since the breaking up of the Holy Germanic Empire so many centuries ago. The Government of West Saxony shall, of course, happily contribute to any talks on the issue between the Great Danish Realm and the Wieser Empire and shall provide all the necessary logistical assistance, including providing geographic and other information as is required by all the Parties.

6. The issue of trade rights and transit is one of the economic domain. However, as West Saxony partakes within the Wieser Customs Area and, generally, within the Germanian League, it is the belief of the Government of West Saxony that it would be profitable to all if talks are held between the Great Danish Realm and all the states of the Germanian League to discuss far going and far reaching strategies of reciprocal economic steps to the benefit of all Parties partaking in such actions.

7. The Government of West Saxony shall be most honoured to receive His Majesty the King Frederik III in Einsiedeln. And we can already assure Your Excellency that His Imperial Highness the Imperial Prince Berthold X will be most eager to welcome His Majesty to the ancient city of Zähringen, the seat of the House of Zähringen, should His Majesty choose to make the voyage through the country from Einsiedeln. We completely agree with Your Excellency that an event of such magnitude requires detailed consultations to ensure the best possible outcome on all possible levels.


We hope this message finds Your Excellency and the members of Your Excellency's cabinet well and we shall be looking forward to continuing the exchange of memorandums.

Prince Imperial to take charge of Agder transition talks​ Extraordinary Order direct from His Majesty to represent the Dual CrownRoyal Council of State to be placed in back seatRestatement of the element of popular will and devolution of powers​ Henrik Kierkegaard Hammerfest, Agder and Fey The Royal Court has announced that His Royal Highness the Prince Imperial, Prince Constantine, is to be sent to Adger and Fey with immediate effect by expressed personal wish of the King in order to find a peaceful resolution to the constitutional impasse that has threatened to plunge the realm into civil strife and to avoid continued friction with the Royal Council of State which is to be overridden. The move comes as it is some have indicated that the King has taken a 'personal displeasure' in the manner in which his realm of Agder and Fey has descended into neigh-on civil war with factions competing and contesting the accession with mounting concerns by some within the Danish parliament (Folkhuset) that the Royal Council has acted in an insensitive manner. Whilst the King himself, on a royal tour in Arendaal with Queen Clara, herself the daughter of King Edvard of Arendaal, has not made a statement as per protocol ~ indeed it is rare that the monarch makes public statements as head of state ~ the indications are that His Majesty has taken an increasing concern personally and has invoked this extraordinary move which has taken many by surprise. The Order will see Prince Constantine, the third in line to the throne, and the only practicising catholic in the senior royal family, act in direct person in lieu of the King in a situation which sees a member of the royal family act in the political sphere for the first time in sixty-nine years. His Royal Highness is expected to land in Hammerfest, the capital of Kristiania not being judged an appropriate place at the moment due to intense fighting there and the destruction of large swathes of the city. But it has been made very clear that the decision to land in Hammerfest is not an indication of taking either side, and is more along the lines of practicality. However, the Court has indicated that the King himself will not visit Agder and Fey at this time and will move to the next stop of the Grand Tour, Telora. The Danish government, which has kept a distinct distance from the Accession Crisis has given the full backing to the move and the Statsminister, Hr Jens Peder Hillerod, announced that the arguably more 'temperate' intervention of the royal family itself may do more good than harm and that this is given more weightage by the fact that the Prince can appeal to the majority catholic population as one of them by virtue of the same faith. Meanwhile, the Royal Council of State ~ the body which administers crown powers as per Agder Law on an everyday practical basis ~ has been instructed that it shall not partake in the talks between Prince Constantine, representing the crown, and senior political and royal persons in Agder and Fey, and will be placed in suspension for the time being. Politicians in Christiansborg are somewhat split over the move with some stating that the Royal Council acted in faith and that it enacted measures in response to wilful subversion, but others say that the Council has lost the faith of many of the King's Realm. However, it is known that many of the initial statements of the Royal Council ~ devolution of powers from the in-built autocratic monarchy of Agder and Fey to a proper parliament and a possible national plebiscite on the accession, with a Agder 'no vote' potentially paving the way for the legal drop of the royal accession by the King as per popular will and, crucially, enshrined in law ~ are likely to remain. The current constitutional framework has prevented this from occurring legally and has threatened to drag the issue into deeper depths. Humanitarian mission to help stricken Agderiker people​ Ulf Sweinn Fredrikshavn A Danish Red Cross chartered passenger cruiser, and often used for cargo, has set sail for Agder and Fey as part of a mission by the organisation to deliver goods from the people of Danmark and also from the government in their aims to pledge assistance to the Scanian peoples in the strife-ridden nation. The ship, St. Christopher, left Fredrikshavn today and is expected to take around a week or so before it reaches its destination. The Red Cross announced that the vessel was the first tranche of expected assistance from the Danish people who have "shown their hearts and given to their Scanian brothers and sisters in acts most remarkable", so said the head of the organisation Rudolf Schmeichel. On the vessel is a wide range of items from foodstuffs, tents, flat-packed shelters, medicines, machinery, pumps, materials such as piping and electrical wiring, books, and children's toys. Also are some 350 volunteers from both the Red Cross, churches and ordinary people with a wide range of skills who are going unpaid in order to do 'their bit'. "The troubles over there are painful for us all. At least we can do something to give some succor and lift the misery our kin face in these tough times": Hr Schmeichel. The St. Christopher is expected to carry light protection in case of high sea banditry but is not equipped with military hardware. "That would be wrong, un-christian, and contrary to our mission", the Red Cross's head affirmed.

Hr. Henrik Westerveld has led the charge against Dulwich, especially the Duke of Nonsuch, the Engellexian foreign minister, accusing it of acting in bad faith and more concerned at its own sphere of influence over the Scanian Archipelago than the essential democracy that some say is burgeoning in Agder and Fey. "The manner within Dulwich, from their current statements, though this could alter with time, is that there is an expectation that Christiansborg needs to make concessions first before a likewise reciprocation is to ensue. This cannot happen - it requires a mutual meeting of minds. It takes two to dance a waltz". However, the disputation has also spread to other areas such as the dispute between Potenza and Sikandara, those two nations having reached a abyssal level in relations. Hr. Westerveld has slammed the 'hob-nail boot approach' to the conflict by Dulwich and lambasting it for being engaging in unwieldy measures to the affairs of those nations. The repairs to relations are anticipated to be difficult but the Agder and Fey crisis seems the key to the future on that according to most officials. But the longer-term analysis is that wound-healing is weighted in favour once the kaleidoscopic flux of the world order is restored. Anthropologists delve into the Heart of Himyar​ Lombard Fritz Njordstadt, Gladsheim A party of university anthropologists, Danish army personnel, explorers and trekkers from Danmark and Gladsheim have begun an expedition into the interior of the huge continent of the Himyar to study the flora and fauna of indigenous peoples fulfilling a five-year preparation and raising of funds. The seventy-four-strong party crossed over the northern border of Gladsheim and into territory occupied by the Tscunzu indigenous people on a trip expected to last at least six months in order to record the lives and traditions of the tribe, the wildlife, vegetation and map the terrain of what are largely unknown areas deep inside the interior, as well as study disease and infections. Rumours swirl around a Westerveld candidacy as elections are called
As the legal seven-year limit of the government reaches its end, elections are due to be held within three weeks in what most will see as a test for Danish nationalist strength following their surprise victory under the Hjemland (Homeland) party at the last elections. Current polls indicate a tight race between Hjemland and the Liberals with no one wanting to risk a bet on who will sweep to victory.

But as the current Statsminister has been increasingly overshadowed by the foreign minister in the international sphere, Mr Westerveld, a Liberal invited to serve in the nationalist-dominated five party coalition, with the Statsminister apparently limited to a backseat role, some are starting to ask whether the foreign minister may throw his hat into the ring for the position of Statsminister, or Prime Minister, the head of government.

Mr Westerveld has come under some scrutiny recently for his fierce diatribes at foreign governments with a parliamentary committee demanding he appear before them to answer questions, to which he caused a stir in his responses and largely won over the suspicious members of the committee, derived from all parties.

Some have questioned whether Westerveld is quite the breather of fire that his statements suppose and analysts have come to conclusions that he does not believe the nationalist mantras but that in a nationalist government, he has had to effectively be more nationalist than the nationalists. The proof of the pudding, if he does decide to announce his candidature, will be if he seeks to maintain an ultra-nationalist course or return to his multilateral Liberal roots.

However, Hr Westerveld has of yet has shown no signs of being the moderate some suppose him to return to. If he becomes the next Statsminister, many observers envisage a more bombastic centre of government with even more determination and fully in composure with what some dub the 'Danish Glory' agenda.

Manifestos and platforms of candidates are due to be published next week in the race for the succession.
The Agder and Fey state to be supported by the Danes
The Royal Council of State has officially increased the status of the Lagting and the executive functionaries of Agder and Fey into a proper government as it now resides in exile at the Agderrige foreign ministry in Christiansborg following their flight from the country.

Until now, the Lagting was always a limited assembly body and not a full-blown parliament but it had always been the wish of the Royal Council to upgrade it into a full sovereign parliament which it has now done, but not from Agder and Fey as originally intended. Now that this has taken place, the fleeing Agders can rightly call themselves a 'government-in-exile' with the Danish government pledging support and offering to foot the bill for expenditure incurred and the leasing of residences for members of cabinet from Kristiania. It also stated that any parliamentarians of the Lagting will also be permitted to hold sessions if they so wished in Danmark but that, in a rare move, the Danish government may temporarily re-designate certain buildings used by the Agders as sovereign Agder territory, with revocable rights, ensuring that the government-in-exile still operates from 'the soil of Agder and Fey' and technically not from Danish land for purposes of legitimacy.

It is known that boxes of earth were transferred from the northern Scanian nation before the exile which, it is claimed, may be used in this act but the measure has still to be approved by the Folkhuset with some split on the measure though there appears to be a general unanimity in support for the Dual Monarchy under the King.

The Danes have thus far refused to recognise the revolutionary government, the 'Imposter Queen', Princess Lovisa of Suionia, and the neologism of Østveg with indications that full operation and exercising of rights of the exiled government will be permitted including declarations of war.

There is still some concern within some circles that the expansion of republicanism into the Scanian lands is not entirely just and that the pretender government is essentially a marionette of republicans and military men such as Admiral Braaten.

Foreign Minister Westerveld claimed: "In this phony monarchy held up by republicanist power-searchers, I am perturbed at the lack of dignity, the tripping over loose show laces, and elbow jabbing in a desperate clamour for the grand prize of power by a plethora of here today, gone tommorrow people who now claim to represent this, represent that, but in reality are mere opportunists out for what they can get. They grease their propaganda machines with claims that 'Peasants, all is quiet now, no need to worry - go back to work' but it obviously clear to me that this is a one-sided assessment which puts words into the mouths of ordinary people which these people deign to represent but do not. Let us not forget the huge swathe of the population that desists in their world view, the proclamations, and their scope".

It is still early to tell as this stage, but the Danes themselves may seek an active involvement in the affair which will see the Crisis evolve from a pure affair involving the concepts of the Dual Monarchy of Danmark, Agder and Fey into one of national determination for Agder and Fey and grander international affairs with talks to be held in several capitals over the next few weeks. However, it is known that the Danish government has gained the permission of the the Kingdom of Arendaal, the homeland of the Danish Queen Consort, for movement of peacekeeping troops to that land, a blessing it may use yet if required.
Minister for War announces 'consequences' for Talemantros as incursions breach the border
The recent incursion of Talemantine forces into Parthia has been considered a gross affront to not only Partherriget but also towards the guardians of the western border with Talemantros, Danish forces. Accordingly, the Minister for War, Hr Axel-Fogh, has announced a significant deployment of troops expanding the current thirty-two thousand based in Partherriget to a total of one-hundred forty thousand alongside a naval contingent of the Fifth Jutish Fleet totalling 67 vessels.

The unfortunate but apparently accidental incursion by the Talemantine military has been considered an indication of possible malign intent and as such deemed appropriate for counter-measures including a full invasion of Talemantros.

But Hr. Axel-Fogh, in a statement from the Old Quarter, declared that if a rowing back of Talemantine aggression be exacted, then a counter-invasion may be avoided.

However, he was blunt in his prognosis: "Do Talemantines seek to even dare to cross the border into Partherriget again or seek to raise tension in Zamosk, by land, marine, or air, and a full invasion of Talemantros shall be the obvious consequence including an aim at Talemaniki itself, important strongholds and other strategic targets in all measures considered rightful in a state of war with no suffering of foolishness. The 'Accidental Incursion' does not wash for us and we are on full preparation to invade the mainland of that nation with a complete war-plan. The use of long-range Brandstang II rockets and other measures shall be incurred if need be come the possible recalcitrance of the Talemantine Imperial forces, to be struck directly into the heart of Talemantine power and operational functionality with few escapes. Attempts at further jiggery-pokery will be met with full strike. In the meantime, the expanded deployments, by over one-hundred percent, shall reinforce existing forces both at sea and on land including ships to patrol sovereign Parthian waters and land. However, we shall maintain a keen vigilance upon Talemantine deployments that may be exacted to buttress the Zamoscan statelet with the movement of extra personnel from the Talemantine state to be countered including strategic blocking. There shall be no further deployments from Talemantros with which to alleviate the demands of their illegal statelet. If so, they will cross the Kongelige Danske Marine and other international forces and if so countered shall be tantamount to war. In our obligations to defend the integrity of the Parthian state, failure to desist may lead to commensurate invasion of the aggressor force".Considerations for elected governor in Ningwei following pressure
The Viceregal Government of Ningwei, or Nongwej, the Danes' south-east Touzenese colony in Yujin upon a 99-year lease, have acceded to domestic pressures by opponents of both Danish presence in Nongwej and towards the Saffronite Kingdom (some disputing its nomenclature) for relinquishing territory to the 'pasty westerners' by announcing elections for the next Crown Viceroy amongst the population above the age of 25 years old but with a property qualification, likely to see a Dane elected as the succeeding Viceroy.

Previously appointees of the government in Christiansborg, the concession came following intense lobbying by sympathetic elements to the Danish state within the colonial government and authorities as a way to stymie gathering pressure by non-favourable elements and also as a manner to address native grievances in a more direct way by inviting most of the population of an estimated 200,000 to partake in government of their lives.

Alongside a directly elected Viceroy, the Crowned Assembly is expected to follow similar lines in parallel elections with a revamped chamber numbering 85 in the lower chamber, the Lower Chamber, designing legislation, of 50 and the Higher Chamber, holding revising powers over legislation and capable of overriding the Lower Chamber, of 35.

Critics have lambasted the property qualification as favouring the minority Danish population and a limited number of loyalist Yujiner but Crown Authorities have claimed that some measure of stability was required in precarious times. Either way, the election is split on either seeing a liberal or an ultra-conservative to return to the Mansion.

The mutable elections will be held in four weeks' time allowing for a considerable time for electioneering. The Viceroyalty has in the meantime relaxed the restrictions upon political party formation though it has drawn a line at integrationist parties and deeming all parties that aim for Yujinist reintegration as illegal and liable to disbandment and members to be charged if they seek to coalesce.
Crown Forces deployed to Tscunzuland
The government has announced that forces shall be sent into Tscunzuland at the invitation of Tscunzu leaders and also in order to defend against attacks upon the anthropological party that was sent to explore life in the Himyaran interior that has seen six of the party murdered including beheadings of Danish scientists and eating of their bodies in ritualistic tribal sacrifices by members of the Tscunzu's traditional enemy, the Ngunci.

There was outrage in Danmark and Gladsheim once the news of the atrocities had leaked and there was a clamouring for consequential action from many in the Danish public against what was seen as barbarism against the scientific exploratory endeavour and the taking of innocent lives.

The Danish nationalists have been railinging vocal in their demand for appropriate action against the warlike tribes of the Himyaran interior prompting the government to announce an expeditionary force of seventeen thousand to be dispatched immediately to Gladsheim and to cross into Tscunzu and Ngunci lands to guarantee the safety of the scientists, their mission and in order to apprehend the perpetrators of injustice against humantity.

This will be the first such action of its kind against what are commonly called 'uncivilised picaninnies' with no direct impact of its actions upon national interest aside from bringing quiescence and apprehending instigators of murder against the 'civilised north'.

Needless to say, detractors have claimed this is the start of a Danish nationalist-driven agenda of the creation of a Danish Empire of the Himyaran Interior and that the numbers pledged are far in excess of what is necessary to deal with tribal insurrection against outside trespass upon their lands.

However, the Danish government has rejected this and has quoted a petition from the king of the Tscunzu peoples, Mskaru II, who was openly declarative of intervention against the Ngunci by the Danes in an apparently desperate cry for help.

"My peaceful people live in fear of constant war and taking of our lands by the warlike Ngunci which is a terror we live with on a daily basis. The killing of your noble and quiet scientists proves this and we hope that you now see the plight of the Tscunzu at these ignoble savages that kill our livestock, rape our women, enslave our children and steal our savannah and sun-like maize crops and yam every year. We need someone to deal with this nasty plague and we come to you, the Great Danish people from the cold northern lands of distant infamy and legend to come and help us. Nzeseki u-lesezi [God Bless the White Father]".

Current deployments of the Danish Army already in Gladsheim are due to cross the border in the next few days to be joined by the fresh dispatch from the motherland of Danmark within the next couple of weeks once landfall on Njordstadt takes place.

General George Sommersfeld-Jugt, the current head of Danish operations in Gladsheim, claimed: "We shall pass carefully and there shall be no scorched earth. We shall abide by our carefulness and delicacy but we shall not, for an instant, tolerate inflictatation of horror upon us whether by spear, rock, acquired gun or whatever other contraption. The survey should continue according to the invitation of moderate elements of the Ngunci certainly not the racist and warrior-like instigators of inhumanity as our silent scientists have had to suffer. No more."

Westerveld suffers egging after foreign policy speechUltra-nationalist outrage at 'swerve' in foreign policy Poll indications of Westerveld heading new coalition governmentRustic parties advocating Westerveld succession but cities and intelligentsia-elite keep cards to their chests​ Henrik Kierkegaard Wilhelmsburg Henrik Westerveld faced the onslaught of a plethora of egg-brandishing ultra-nationalists as he made comments over foreign policy that they have characterised as a sell-out of Danish interests as he seeks the position of Statsmininster of a new government. Hr Westerveld was making yet another speech as he forayed across the kingdom in the seeking of the position of Statsminister, head of government, on his own credentials, following slightly reluctant endorsement of the Liberal Party but almost unequivocal advocacy by nationalists as the national elections come close to climax. Westerveld has enjoyed a poll-lead eclipsing his competitors but he has not made indicated nor moved that this is a fait accompli in the Gallian phraseology. However, die-hard nationalists have become increasingly concerned at the statements of Hr Westerveld as he has spoken of 'conciliation' and 'accommodation' over world issues that has proven a red rag to the bull of Danish nationalism in its most aggressive form. Speaking in Wilhelmsburg, the heart of the Dano-German heartland, a proscribed linguistic canton within Danmark, the current foreign minister reiterated his stance that the Danes must seek amelioration with outcasts and those that it has otherwise sought to shun in recent years. "Communism remains a bug-bear and one that all decent and civilised nations need to stand against whilst being attuned to realities with crystal clear clarity. But we must sift on a case by case basis on the basis of pragmatism. The same rationale involves the Sylvanians. We need to invite them into the sphere of responsiblity and international statesmanship upon the grounds of understanding their terms. But this does not come without obligations on their own part". As he finished his word, a storm of chicken and duck eggs railed on Hr Westerveld, thrown by angry nationalists who sensed a switching of emphasis under a likely Westerveld government, probably to be a coalition as most Danish governments are. Attempting to dodge the egg-throwing group, who were shortly and summarily escorted out of the theatre, the foreign minister was nonetheless the victim as he wiped yolk and albumen off his face and suit. "We need to stake our position and it does come with soft as well as hard power. Soft as long as it needs to be and if it garners results, hard if it doesn't. Such is the situation. I shall speak the uncomfortable truths as it is, in the clarity of the day, and if that upsets some, so be it". Although known to most, it seems that Hr Westerveld jollies in rivalry and opposition and if example be needed, this election is evidence supreme. Even with his own apparent, though apparently erstwhile, supporters. Some officiandos have spoken of Westerveld as being less nationalist than is often supposed but that due the nature of the current climate of Danish discourse he has had to act in a way that carries this dominant thread. Notwithstanding that, the government has been strongly defensive of the Viceroyalty, or Colony, of Ningwei which the government has pledged shall retain its legal remits under the Dano-Yujiner Treaty and be strengthened accordingly with a dispatch of 25,000 troops of the Tenth Jutish Division to be sent to the colony with an expressed remit of crossing into Yujiner Imperial lands to secure the colony if necessary and if under threat and to stymie continued communistic activity within the Empire of Yujin. "For too long and in a precariousness, the advance and apparent envelopment of regions of Yujin, dictated from quarters beyond the limits of civility, have been permitted to determine the agenda and make deep incursions into the Yujiner future. The increase of Danish troops and air force presence are an addition to the preexisting 2,000 troops stationed in Ningwei so the increase is a significant extra and and an indication of concerns. Nonetheless, air patrols over the region and into Yujin are believed to be already underway with bomber aircraft, reconnaissance planes and fighter jets ready to target and watch the 'enemies of the status quo' with landings due to take place on the airfields of Yujin Proper in the vacuum. Due to what many have criticised as the poor policy of the nationalist-dominated coalition government in support of the farming community through subsidies, there is an excess of foodstuffs such as butter, cheese, cured bacon, mutton, lamb, beef and milk, some with shorter shelf-lives than others, which exceeds the requirements of Danish consumers. To prevent the food going to waste and to add to export revenue, the government has sought to offload the excess production in return for a fee though analysts believe this could be a cash-cow of added revenue whilst supplying the needs of foreign nations. There does not seem to be be any restriction on who buys the excess so long as they pay the due amount. Some have even argued that it may burgeon a consumer culture and demand thus not only kickstarting international trade but also wealth for the Purse (the Danish Treasury) and also for farmers but this has not swerved critics of what they slam as preferential treatment for the sphere of rusticism.

But the requests of the landlord were generally inconsequential and menial on balance. The question needs to be asked: who is more free on balance? The medieval 'peasant' or the modern toiler? For the oftly frequented talk of modern freedoms as opposed to 'medieval serfdom', deeper analysis actually indicates that modern people have less freedom in many respects than the dismissed peasant. 'Free City' established in Christiansborg after lengthy squat protestations Mary Dalgaard Christiansborg Following almost seven years of protracted dispute between squatters and the Council of Christiansborg an agreement has been reached allowing for limited autonomy over a two square mile portion of the city which has been hailed by the squatters as the 'Free City of Holmsgaard'. Occupying a largely abandoned military estate, the Free City shall be responsible for internal law and order under its own remits as proscribed by a Charter organised by all permanent residents of the commune, totalling around 1300 people. Unlike much of Danmark, Holmsgaard has struck a much more liberal approach to the use of drugs use, sexual liberation and experimentation, libertarian and alternative attitudes and avocation of the tenets of peace. Whether residents or visitors just want to explore themselves and share the spirit of alternative views, be transient loafers, experience homosexual and freelance love, talk, be comfortable or just want to grow organic food, we welcome all. But as permanent residents, we share the common values of support not only in terms of love but in allowing the commune to be self-sufficient. Skills can be learned and skills brought to us. Permanency means committal". But Danish conservatives have criticised the move to allow tolerance for ideologies encapsulating drug use and what they have called 'uncountenanced debauchery'. One rightist member of the Folkhuset scorned that Holmsgaard will corrupt the youth of the city and the country as Danes pass over the 'border', smoke the dodgy weeds, fornicate with the same sex or menage a trois, or even more, and then cross back into Danish society spreading these appallingly rotting ideas. Once again Minister Westerveld and indeed the entire government of Danmark displays its hubris without shame, implying that Danmark has grounds to call itself a part of the "sphere of responsibility." Lies and arrogance slip from Westerveld's mouth as easily as a thrown egg finds his face.

We remind the Danish government that Imperial Yujin has issued a declaration of war against Carentania and its allies, as well as launched military incursions into Vangalan territory. The Workers' Republic will not tolerate any stabilizing measures to shield the Monster of the East, the Emperor of Yujin, from the justified wrath of its subjects. Any kind of military posturing by Danish troops in support of the current Yu regime will be seen as an act of aggression against the Carentanian government and will face harshest repercussion.

Danish troops - as well as supplies - are well advised to stay within the boundries of Ningwei.

Given current agreements we have made in good faith with the Danish government, we are suprised that they would so openly side with a state which has so willfully abandoned the conduct of good nations and engaged in not only the mass slaughter of its own subjects but violent, unprovoked attacks on the diplomatic personnel of other nations aswell. Whilst Danmark's defence of its own colonial interests is to be expected, we cannot help but be gravely alarmed by its flagrant use of air power to assault Yu revolutionary groups, a type of biased intervention that we can only assume is meant as a precursor to full alignment with the Yu Empire in its Civil War. We hope that the Empire of Danmark does not seek direct or indirect confrontation with our own forces in the region, and we urge Danmark to restrain its millitary activity, and remind the Danish Empire that our agreement cannot be expected to endure should War of any kind be provoked.
