Besuch des Premierministers Akwesasnes: Politik, Kultur und insbesondere Erdöl
Visit by the Prime Minister of Akwesasne: Politics, culture and especially oil
Tomorrow morning at 9.00 am local time the country’s chief of government Joseph Hendrick is scheduled to touch down on one of the runways of Knut Knýtling International Airport. In order to mark the occasion of the premier’s first visit since joining the European Defence Federation as a junior member he will be received by His Royal Highness the Prince Regent of Franken. Although Joseph Hendrick is visiting Franken in his role as head of government, he will be treated to some events and occasions usually reserved to state visits, i.e. visiting heads of state. For example, Tuesday night the Premier and his entourage will be hosted at the Königsburg for a state banquet.
Prime Minister Hendrick will stay in Franken for three days until he returns home from Würzburg’s airport Thursday afternoon. The first day of the itinerary is to be spent with political talks between Ministerpräsident Graf Peter Solms and Prime Minister Hendrick. One of the main issues will be discussing agreements on the exploitation of Akwesasne’s copious oil sands. Franken’s two top oil corporations will have representatives on the meeting. The next day he will visit a selection of cultural and educational facilities in Nürnberg. Wednesday will be concluded with a panel discussion on foreign policy hosted by the renowned Königliches Institut für Außen- und Verteidigungspolitik (Royal Institute for Foreign and Defence Policy). On Thursday he will go to Würzburg, which is the Kingdom’s largest and most important port. If Franken was to import Akwesasne’s oil sands, they would be processed in the city’s large refineries.
