:!: Jurzani Economy booms

For a long time, the Economy of Jurzan has been suffering drastically. Akhaltsikhe's Council failed to balance economic growth between all races and as a result, the economy stagnated and began a declare. The 2010 Revolution kicked the Council out of power, however, political instability brought an economic collapse upon the Jurzan, then Talemantros invaded the country, putting economic growth on halt.

It is with pride that the National Assembly released new figures on the economy, showing exponential growth. At the first day of the First Jurzani Republic, the GDP was collapsing but was calculated at $152 Billion, today it's growing and is currently calculated at $255 Billion, which is a $75 Billion increase from what it was calculated when Akhaltsikhe was still in power. The GDPPC, which was less than $1000 for the mass majority of the population, now stands at an impressive $3,500. The unemployment rate, which was climbing to a frightening 50%, is now at 21% and decreasing.

The National Oil Company, which is spearheading the economic prosperity, is seeing a massive increase in sales. When the Second Jurzani Republic agreed to join the RDT, an agreement was signed with all signatory nations that the Jurzan would become a primary oil supplier, upon taking its new role, the National Oil Company is preparing for a large increase in demand, requiring more laborers.

Another part of the economic growth is the nationalization of several, large industries. The Government is using their profit to supplement the budget, making the need for taxes much lower. This enables the Government to keep a "business-friendly" aroma. The Government is hopeful that foreign investment will begin rolling in within a short period of time. Carentania's programs in the Jurzan have also taken a massive burden off the Government, freeing up even more of the budget. All in all, taxes on individuals and small businesses in Jurzan are very low, business taxes in general aren't as high as though found in other nations.

President Nadarejshvili stated that the economic growth is a sign of the success of the Jurzani Nation, he said that the Republic will continue to see growth for years to come.

:!: Sharjah Strip opens, Northern Development Committee takes authority

Today, the Sharjah Reconstruction Project officially finished with the completion of the Sharjah Strip, which itself isn't all that impressive. The Sharjah Reconstruction Project was focused mainly on the construction of the Sharjah National Hospital, which now stands as the most advanced hospital in the nation, and advanced even on international standards. Also, the SRP consisted of building apartment complexes at lower prices in an attempt to provide new housing. None of this generates much revenue, which is why the Sharjah Strip was constructed at the very end.

The project was started by diverging the Highway leading into Sharjah to go directly through the Strip. The Strip currently is large plots of land that are currently on sale. Several Jurzani Tourist Companies were given first picks on land on the Strip, building large casinos, brothels, and hotels. Criticisms arose over many citizens saying that the entrance to the nation's capital shouldn't be so full of sinful activity. The National Rail System Sharjah Station was built at the entrance of the Strip, forcing tourists to walk down the street. By design, due to increases in Carentanian tourists, the Sisak Railway exists at the Sharjah Station. One hotel is molded after Carentanian infrastructure, as others are molded after hyper-modern architecture to show Jurzani Economic Power. The Sharjah International Airport, one of two international airports in Jurzan(the other being in Abasha), is built just across from the Strip and the road to get into the city goes through the Sharjah Highway, again bringing all new comers threw the Sharjah Strip. Street Venders may apply for licenses to sell on the streets, all in the hopes that tourism will boom and revenue will massively increase.

The Northern Development Committee, responsible for the growth of the nation's north, urged the Government to open the Jurzani Borders entirely, which leads to our next big news story, but that's for later. Director Rahim Khan stated that it was important to keep the Strip clean and modern, he asked for increased police patrol to ensure that crime was at a minimum, he also asked for lower prices to purchase land, also saying that it was time for international investment. He said it was up to the Government to show the world that a powerful market is beginning to build in the Jurzani Nation, and that all companies will want a piece of the pie.

:!: Borders open for the first time since the start of the Revolution

Shortly after Director Rahim Khan of the Northern Development Committee asked Sharjah to open the Jurzani Borders to all people, the National Assembly complied and passed a law opening the Jurzan to the world. A quickly done, but momentous decision.

When The revolution occurred, Akhaltsikhe closed the borders in an attempt to stop smuggling and people from leaving the country. When the First Jurzani Republic formed, the borders still weren't opened because they didn't feel it was safe. When Talemantros invaded, for obvious reasons the borders weren't opened. Carentanians were the only people allowed to cross the border, not even Hajri Citizens could cross. Now, as stability has returned and prosperity is erupted, the Government has officially opened the borders to all people - and businesses. "All in the name of Economics," Rahim Khan says "Jurzan is capable of making huge amounts of money, but the world must see we are a safe and profitable investment."

Khan said that his main goal for northern development is to get foreign investment and convert the North to a huge manufacturing sector, not only one of the largest in Himyar, but one of the largest in the world. He said that it was essential for Jurzan to surpass Hajr in manufacturing capabilities. As per deals signed with the RDT, weapons factories are erupting across the North, providing thousands of new jobs, Khan says it isn't enough.

Regardless, plots the Sharjah Strip are currently open for purchase by any one person or organization, at cheap prices as well. We'll see if the Sharjah Strip can return its investment.

:!: Ministry of Defense begins massive program

As rumors lurked more and more of Khayrat's military ambitions for the Jurzan, the Ministry of Defense formally announced that they were working on a huge program to design a defensive network for the Republic. Defense Minister Hayat Sherpao said

"The Jurzani Armed Forces are incapable of power projection and cannot maintain a foreign campaign alone, we are not blind nor ignorant to this matter, however, the Jurzani Armed Forces are more than capable of defense, in fact, we can create a foolproof defense, which is what we're aiming for."

The Military is looking into many different scenarios in designing the nation's defensive networks. First off, the military wants to create a secure mode of communications, including a brand new code, completely different from the Akhaltsikhe Code. That's the military's first priority, the second is protecting vitals assets to the Jurzani Economy.

These vital assets are the oil wells and refineries offshore and inland. The Military is looking into the possibilities of installing anti-air and anti-ship missiles on oil wells that are offshore, including the possibility of an airfield complete with actual jet fighters. Sharjah has raised concerns of placing weapons and explosives on oil rigs, as "accidents do happen," says President Zurab Nadarejshvili. Factories and highways across the nation are being evaluated for defensive capabilities. In fact, any highway that's goes straight for more than one mile is being marked as a possible airfield in case of national emergency.

The Military is also looking into new radar systems to detect aircraft more successfully, however this is very ambitious as Sharjah's main goals and finances aren't going to the military but to economic development. However, the Military was cleared for evaluating various parts of the nation.

:!: President Nadarejshvili orders Major General Nimat Hamza to draw battle plans

As negotiations continue to go south over the release of two State Representatives in Kef, President Nadarejshvili ordered Major General Nimat Hamza to begin drawing up battle plans that would cause minimal casualties and save the Representatives and their families.

Major General Hamza began to starve the terrorists as he blocked all food going into the mine system, however civilians are smuggling food to the terrorists. When one was caught, she said "starving people is inhumane and does nothing for your morale." Hamza has not allowed for anyone to enter the mine and is moving Jurzani Soldiers closer to the mine's entrance.

Jurzani Troop levels have swelled in the small town as Hamza hoped to frighten the terrorists into submission by sheer force, however that has failed as well. Hamza then offered that if the Representatives were released, they'd be forced to resign from office, again, no response. Then Hamza offered that they'd be investigated for the alleged corruption that got them imprisoned.

After this all failed, President Nadarejshvili interjected and ordered battle plans to be drawn. The nation is now paying more and more attention to see if bullets will actually start flying.

In addition to the evident safety concerns, the Union will express its concerns over the plans by the Jurzan government towards armament of oil rigs. Provided that said rigs are well within Jurzani territorial waters there will be no problem, but within internationally recognized international waters such actions will not be tolerated even if such rigs might be within the Jurzani contiguous economic zone.

:!: Hostages released

A day after leaked information of battle plans being drawn, the terrorists holding the State Representatives have surrendered the Representatives and their families to Jurzani Forces, the news erupted in cheers throughout the area. The Representatives have resigned from their post and are asking for constant protection as they go into retirement, a request we doubt will be denied.

Apparently, there were no battle plans at all. President Nadarejshvili purposely leaked the information in the hopes it would frighten the terrorists. Major General Hamza apparently knew nothing of the sort and he scrambled his troops into positions he thought best for an offensive strike against a mine, he also sent a letter to the President strongly advises against an attack, as it would be unsuccessful. The huge movement of troops did indeed frighten the terrorists into surrender.

They were arrested and are being flown to Sharjah for trial.

:!: President Nadarejshvili ushers in the 'Labor Party'

Today, the leading members of the National Party of Jurzan met and announced the new title of the party, and it's platform, the Labor Party. The Labor Party currently makes up 65% of the National Assembly and Supreme Chancellor Khayrat is a member of the Party, making it by far the most powerful political organization in the nation.

The Party's platform is a term coined by President Nadarejsvhili, "Adrari Socialism." Adrari Socialism is a belief in the benefit of all people, regardless of race, sex, and gender. President Nadarejshvili gave a detailed description of the ideology in his speech announcing the party.

"An Adrari Socialist doesn't allow for personal feelings to get involved in Governance. We only see what is beneficial and not beneficial to society. That which is beneficial is implemented, that which isn't beneficial, is outlawed. Personally, I do not fancy drinking, it goes against the holy word, however, it won't be allowed because its beneficial for a hard worker to enjoy a drink at night, responsibly.

We do believe that Capitalism is necessary for a country, but it must be watched. We do believe that some things shouldn't be hampered or involved in free market principles, such things are oil, healthcare, and the bank. We've nationalized it for the betterment of society. We maintain a friendly business outlook because foreign investment is good for society.

Ultimately, we don't look at things as whether or not we personally agree, we look to see how it harms or helps society. It is a different way of governance, but the economic success of the country is evidence of our success."

:!: Sharjah Strip's first week

In the first week of the Sharjah Strip, the Strip brought in a huge amount of tourists and buyers. Currently, only four casinos are open along the strip, a hotel is under construction by Serbovia, however hotels aren't the cash crop of the Sharjah Strip, that is held by the hundreds of street venders. Nearly 450 people were given permission to open a stand and sell on the Sharjah Strip.

The sales were better than anyone expected, spanning from food to comic books, clothes and toys. Many venders even had card games going, which was a little shady but perfectly legal. Millions of Jurzani Marks were exchanged in only a week making Sharjah officially the economic sector of the Second Jurzani Republic, a title held by Abasha for nearly 200 years.

President Nadarejshvili even paid a visit to the Strip last Thursday and purchased a newspaper from a vender on his way to the Capitol Building. Nadarejsvhili stated "I've never seen such a large mass of Jurzani People eager to spend money, it truly is a first for our people."
