Grand Duke takes questions on world events. Says- Leninovism "not a threat to the Burgundian state"

The Grand Duke deflected questions regarding the closing of another military base and questions about the potential sale of the Burgundian automotive firm GR Auto Group and instead addressed the current Burgundian-Serreniere relationship. The Grand Duke expressed his wish that the two return to a working relationship. "The days of a pan-Frankish partnership are in the past. Yet we as a nation wish to return to a working relationship where our two nations could still attempt to resolve some issues. I do not believe that the current situation is fair to the citizens of either nation nor is it healthy for the international community". The Grand Duke declined to answer several questions in regards to the current diplomatic relationship with Kadikistan. "Bourgogne will continue to chart its current path. The overall situation could be better but we do see potential for our two nations to regain a working relationship as well when it comes to common interests" he said. The Grand Duke was asked about Leninovism in Bourgogne to which he replied sternly "I have vetoed several attempts to outlaw Leninovist political parties and organizations. Leninovism is not a threat to the Burgundian state. The people of Bourgogne have no desire for it but here; we value freedoms and if the people wish to participate in that ideology they are welcome to it so long as it remains in the scope of the law".

Since Kadikistan abandoned isolation, a move that my family has always opposed, you may have noticed that our Commissariat of External Affairs has become even more provocative and belligerent. This is not only the result of our doctrine, but also due to the fact that said commissariat is now sadly under firm control of the Leninov family.

We urge Your Majesty and his government not to let this affect our current accords. There is still much room for business between our two fine countries. It is my most sincere desire that my family can work more closely together with you in the near future. There is much more mutual benefits to be had regarding among others the Party of Candles, the power struggle with our mutual enemy: the Leninov's and our foreign policy.

*Bourgogne again calls for release of its citizens from Serenierre's custody. The citizens were arrested and falsely accused of espionage. The Burgundian government says that it will continue to call for the release of the citizens. Serenierre backed out of a deal which would remand them to Burgundian custody.

Fire at orphanage kills 18 children, 1 adult. Grand Duke calls for immediate review of fire prevention laws

An overnight fire destroyed an orphanage in the Eastern city of Minot. Orphanage of St. Denis was home to 140 children and 6 full-time staff. Around 3 in the morning, a fire began. It is currently under investigation. The Grand Duke is expected to travel to Minot for the funerals if possible. The Grand Duke immediately called for a review of national fire prevention laws and has asked fire professionals to create new fire codes.

Second satellite launch promised following failure

The Burgundian Space Bureau announced that the satellite that was launched on Saturday has failed to activate. The combined Bourgogne-Eiffelland space project is based in Bourgogne. "We have seen much progress over the last 6 years of intense work; the last 4 with the national cooperation especially" said one official. The Space Bureau promises it will launch another by May as it prepared a second satellite, this one built both in Eiffelland and Bourgogne. Some are questioning the cost of the program but the Grand Duke has made it clear that scientific achievement should be paramount. The satellite- Henri, was set to be the first satellite that could communicate with earth via a radio beacon.

Grand Duke: More aircraft, troops committed to Ivernish conflict

The Grand Duke reaffirmed support for the Imperial government, warning that a divided Ivernia would destabilize the region. The Grand Duke state that Bourgogne will increase the air force commitment by at least a third. Additionally, the Grand Duke said that as many as 3,000 advisers would be dispatched to Ivernia immediately to aid Imperial forces in their fight against extremists.

"We must remember that our conflict is not ideological as some may frame it. Our fight is to keep our region stable. We have passed far too long in peace for this conflict to threaten it all, no matter what outsiders may seek to destroy the peace" the Grand Duke said to the press at a conference this morning. The Grand Duke also stated that the deployment of any major body of troops to Ivernia is highly unlikely.

The Commonwealth Diplomatic Corps hereby makes an inquiry of the government of the Grand Duke of Bourgogne regarding the Commonwealth Navy's Grand White Fleet on its global tour of goodwill and amity. Specifically, we ask permission to enter the territorial waters of the Grand Duchy and conduct one stop at a port-of-call of your choosing in the on the Grand Duchy's Great Ocean coast to open our ships to, and interact with, the public and any government dignitaries who choose to be on hand. Date of arrival would be March 11th to 13th, 1956. Any course changes or scheduling will be wired to the lead ship CAS Conamara before arrival or, if approval is not obtained, instructions to avoid the territorial waters of the Grand Duchy of Bourgogne.

37 arrested in protests

An estimated 100,000 took to the streets of Brienne on Monday morning to protest Kadikistani aggression and communist imperialism. Police were quick to respond as some protesters got out of hand. However, the protest remained largely peaceful and lasted for several hours. Much of the city center was reportedly at a standstill as the protest moved towards the central business district. There were no reported injuries and the Grand Duke was quick to comment on the protests, saying that "Communism or even socialism is not the enemy of the Burgundian people or the world. The global community is being threatened by ideological novo-colonial imperialism".

Burgundian auto industry experiences best year since 1947

Bourgogne's major automakers posted heavy gains as several new manufacturing and distribution centers were built around the globe. Burgundian sales jumped 11% since December and an average of 5.9% since March of last year. G&R Group is expected to update several facilities next year.

Excellent news for Lovisan Hockey Union (LUH). LUH and also lovisan top teams are ready to start new season in new uni-league and playing together with Burgundian team which are they in higher class then lovisan. But its also mean our game level in hockey will be rapidly going higher and in next few years our national team and league teams will present a top level in Europe.

The Grand Duke was shot today during the St. Marie Parade in Chagny. The shooter has been placed in custody as the Grand Duke is now in surgery. It is unclear what his condition is or the motivations for the attack. The parade has been suspended and Chagny is being flooded with police and soldiers. More news to come!
