On the long run, a country will only benefit from stable relations with its neighbours. We fully support Premier Martinique and her government in their attempts to keep the relations with their neighbourcountries stable, and we welcome the Memorandum of Understanding closed between Bourgogne and Belmont. By closing this MoU, Premier Martinique completely acted in the interest of Belmont.

OFFICIAL OPPOSITION

This party is in opposition to the MoU with the Bourgogne government, as it is a document that has been signed through the overt interference of Eiffelland, by placing the Belmontien government under duress, which is totally against the principles of international politics. If elected, our government shall repeal the MoU.

Premier Martinique meets with Opposition leadership from Tirderre
RADIO BELMONT: News bulletin

VILLESEN: The Premier has been in meetings with members of the Provincial Assembly from Tirderre belonging to the Parti Liberale and the Parti Florians, which are in coalition nationally, as part of an effort to increase the popularity of the Liberal Coalition in the Daric majority province. While ties have been historically cool between the Central Government and the Province of Tirderre, they have become strained during the current administration due to two issues. The operation to repatriate former minister Plantard from Twente has become a sore point between the Daric and the Liberal Coalition, owing to the strong religious conservatism prevalent in the province, as well as the general uneasiness in that province to accept a female political leader. Additionally, the fact that the national government has signed a fish-grain barter deal with Karolnia has upset some Daric since it is said that the national leadership has only ensured that the consumer demand is met but the grievances of the fishing community have not been addressed.

The Liberal and Florians leadership in Tirderre has urged Premier Martinique to resolve the Gothic Sea fishing dispute issue, while also stressing on the importance of investing in the economy of the province, which continues to lag behind other parts of the country in terms of socio-economic performance. The national leadership of the Liberal Coalition is said to be uneasy with the fact that their manifesto of inclusiveness of ethnic minorities has not won over the Plaid Daraigh, the main party in the province, as it has the Germanic Orange Democrats. However, during her discussions with the Eiffellander Chancellor, Premier Martinique is said to have brought up the issue of foreign investment for Tirderre and the Minister for Trade and Commerce is said to be preparing a dossier which he will circulate to encourage opportunities for the people of Tirderre.

The Belmontien province of Tirderre has enough possibillities according to us. We are prepared for investing in this province and help it move forward.
