Though the Grand Duchy would have perfered that the events within Aresura been allowed to run their course without outside interference, we now find that this is no longer possible as factions within Aresura are now attempting to use the deployment of foreign navies for their own political advantage. With this in mind, Aquitania's remaining neutral in this matter may now be an impossibilty and it may now be those nations closest geographically that need to take a hand.

SAGAR SUMMIT GAINS SUPPORT AS SITUATION WORSENS IN ARESURA
Radical legitimists threats of Pasilla force highly probable

Almost overnight the situation in our southern neighbor has gone from bad to worse, with a clique calling itself the "Radical Legitimists" issued an ultimatum to the "Reformists" and declared that failing to comply would force the RL clique to ask for assistance from foreign powers - almost exclusively the Pasilla Accord. With this scenario unfolding, the SAGAR conference has jumped in importance and has seen greater involvement from the Governments of Aquitania and Guiana, two of the invited states. The SAGAR conference which shall be held at the Foreign Minister level, will seek to establish a joint regional policy for Aresura. But throughout this time, anti-Sereniérre sentiments remains rife in Touzen's foreign policy and attempts have been made to destabilize the gathering in Villesen, which is nothing more than to ensure a regional policy to the civil war and the effect it is having on all countries due to the refugee issue induced by the imperialist actions of some entities.

ECONOMIC GUIDELINE POLICY RECEIVES BACKING OF REPUBLICAN CONGRESS
Scrapping of fixed five year plans and adopting two year flexible guidelines being called a wise move

The Republican Congress has announced that it is backing the initiative being undertaken by the President to scrap the government policy of fixed five year economic plans in favor of the more flexible and business friendly policy of two year guidelines. The change in policy comes as the Government has undertaken serious reforms of the economic system and seeks to make Sereniérre more attractive to foreign companies to invest in.

The announcement by the Republican Congress comes mere days after the proposed constitution cleared a series of hurdles and moved closer to being adopted by the same body of state. The Constitution, if adopted, will allow for greater transparency in the workings of the government and will regulate the internal affairs of the Communist Party and establish a concrete leadership structure.

President Renaudière welcomed the news of both events and has called for wide-scale reform which would root out corruption in the education and health sector and the easing of restrictions on businesses and called for banks to consider disbursing more loans to ensure that private individuals could start their own businesses. The President also praised the efforts of the Government to encourage foreign businesses to increase operations in the country.

On my order and as sanctioned by the Parliament of Lords and Commons of the Kingdom of Brettaine, I invite the members of the Black Jaguars who participated in Operation Desdemona to the Aquitaine Palace where they shall be presented with the esteemed Cross of Valour for their actions.

The Foreign Ministry, today, issued a statement which officially confirmed the People's Republic's support in the Brettish attempts to join the newly established Northwestern Collective Security Coalition (NCSC). This comes after bilateral ties have strengthened immensely after the successful rescue of the passengers of Brettish Airways Flight 239. "The Kingdom of Brettaine," the statement said, "is an integral part of our region and its inclusion in the NCSC is in our opinion the only route for our region's collective security." The Ambassador or Sereniérre to the NCSC has gone so far as to personally accompany the Brettish delegation during their submission of membership.

The Foreign Ministry also disclosed that the Headquarters of the NCSC would be based in the 18th century mansion of the former Royal Governor of Villesen Province. The statement included a response to the claims by some that the NCSC was an EDF subsidiary stating that such claims were based in ignorance. "The NCSC is a regional alliance and aims to provide regional security to its members and to form a collective security policy – the NCSC does indeed have member states who are also members of the EDF but we believe that sovereign states have the freedom to be in as many alliances that is deemed necessary by their foreign policy needs. The days of one alliance or nothing else are over."

In a decision announced today, the Republican Military Naval Force has been given the go-ahead by the Government to begin an operation to monitor and regulate the stream of refugees coming into Sereniérre through the small bay shared between the two countries. The RMFN deployment comes as the Government announced that the refugees from Aresura had reached 185,000, the actual number is said to be much higher. Provincial governments, charged by the Federal capital to handle the matter, have been stretched to the limit. The establishment of camps further away from the main cities has allowed for some breathing space and the registration of majority of those present in the country has also become possible.

The seven frigate strong naval force will also be charged to provide passage to refugee ships aboard barges provided by the Government, in effort by the Government to counteract the refugees using dangerous rafts and contaminating the Bay and blocking mercantile shipping. The RMNF has also been charged to ensure that Aresuran sovereignty is not disrespected by the frigates, though the barges for the refugees have been allowed to go till the Aresuran coast to transport the civilians.

Though there has been a lull in fighting in the country in recent weeks, tensions are high as the Legitimists continue to descend into desperation, as shown by the Radical Legitimist terrorism on Brettish Airways Flight 239. The Government has also introduced a policy of disallowing anyone to enter the country if they have not been registered with officials on the massive barges.
