Army takes control of the country

As you remember, fellow readers, a year ago, Archbishop Danilov created an army to fight the heathens in the country, but this Crusade became one of the most bloodiest civil war in Altaic history. After the defeat of the Patriotic Guards in Rovograd, and the defeat of the UDF in the hands of the Salvation Army, the army started to move on and attack the Salvaton Army (popular known as the Priest's Army). Now, exactly a year after, the People's Liberation Army finally defeated the rebels and restored peace in the country.

Hetman Anton Sidorenko, now leader of the Revolutionary Council said that even if Gorno-Altai will be ruled by the Army, the country will be the avantgarde of social Freedoms in Hymiar. "Now the defunct Democratic Republic of Gorno-Altai, is reformed into the Plurinational State of Gorno-Altai and the Uroduah now became a sister ethnicity with equal rights of the slavs, not only a minority."

"We plan to pacify the country and reconstruct all the damages that the war has caused. We will need two years for this and after that, the Revolutionary Council will resign and invite the successors of the Demian Czars to come back in the homeland and create a Constitutional Monarchy", said today at a press conference Hetman Sidorenko.

Government announces the last hunt for the Salvation Army

Today, General Pukovnik of the ProNat Darko Garin announced the start of the mobilization of the Military ProNat Division "Dan I Abari" for the hunt of the remains of the Salvation Army, which, Pukovnik Averin, the leader of the priest army has ordered his soldiers to hide in the Zagora Mountains in Zamosk Peninsula.

During the last year, the Salvation Army fought a guerilla war in the Zamosk Peninsula and effectively destroyed the peninsula's economy, forcing the stop of the cooper mines in Zagora, naming some of the many enterprises who closed their gates of fear from attacks of the Salvation Army.

To finish this "war" once and for all, Hetman Sidorenko asked for the help of the military ProNat to attack and destroy the last terrorist cells. Garin agreed to help Sidorenko and now, the Military ProNat Division "Dan Abari" is mobilizing to fight along the Altaic Defense Force in the Zagora Mountains.

The government of the Principality of Altai formally declares war on the enemies of the European Defense Federation, namely on the Tyrannical regime in Torrence and on the imperialist country of Great Engellex.

In a ceremony, after the declaration of war, the Czarina also promoted the General-Pukovnic of the ProNat Darko Garin as Hetman, with the role of supreme commander of the Altaic Defense Force.

The new Hetman commented on the declaration:
"A long time has passed since our war with the Talemantine Empire. Now, recent events have made us choose one of the sides in the political reshaping of the globe. After the regimes of the Hetmans, from 1990 until today, we must show the world that the Altaic people are united, strong and ready to defend it's new friends."

This is deplorable action of the new Altaic government so soon after they solved
many of its domestic problems. The new regime argued that the previous leaders
kept the nation in a state of crisis and thus the reason to remove that government.
We see this action only as the new government creating a new crisis in order to
retain its authoritarian power over Altai and doing exactly what they accused the
former regime of doing.

Voluntary Evacuation
Under the orders of the Government, the Police and the ProNat have begun a voluntary evacuation of the villages and towns on the western border. The recent moves in the politics of the Hymiari states have made the government raise the military readiness and now after the mobilization of the Defense Force and the mobilization of the Talemantine Army, war is knocking the door. For this the police and ProNat have started a voluntary evacuation of the villages and towns from Dialgorod to the north to Sadova to the south.
Also many refugee camps were constructed on the Ier riverbanks south of the city Tirgu Ier.

Religious War declared

Today, in a press conference, the High Priest Bashai declared the Talemantine Empire's invasion an affront to the Great Spirit. He declared the Religious War against the Talemantine invasion. It is the mission of every Altaian to defend the land of the Great Spirit.

They must fear the people they are planning to conquer. They must be shown how fanatic and nationalist is the Altaic people, starting with soldiers and ending with mere peasants."

Due to this, we demand that both Talemantros and Gorno-Altai come to the table and sign a ceasefire. We demand that both nation stop shedding more blood in Himyar. Until both nations agree on a ceasefire and come to the table, Frescania will be withdrawing high members of our diplomatic corp from both states. Lastly, if a ceasefire is not reach within forty-eight hours, Frescania will take any actions that is deem fit to stop the spread of violence.

Free Altai
Government leaks show exaggerated terms

After a recent leak in the government, all the people in the world have seen what kind of people are the men who rule the Talemantine Empire and the Empire of Great Engellex. Through this they have shown that they want to conquer the nation of Altai and the peace treaty was just a way to shut the mouth of the Carentanian and Frescanian governments.

From the leaks we can see that the Government of Altai agreed to do:
- pay £7 billion to Engellex as war reparations;
- create the Altaic Union giving autonomy rights to the Zamosk Oblast and the creation of a dual monarchy;
- concession of the city of Rovograd to one of the two powers, Engellex or Talemantros for 99 years;
- surrendering all the submarines of the fleet and transferring all of them to the Engellexic fleet;

Personally I think that those terms are more than enough. We are treated as we were defeated. I personally think that those terms are to be given only when a country should unconditionally surrender, not when it still has power to defend itself.

While our people thought so, there were some men that though it wasn't enough.
I have laid my hands on the enemy counteroffer, and posted it here on the site of Free Altai to show to you and the rest of the world with whom to we fight. I say that through the treaty we proposed, we've shown the world that we want peace and that the government understands the mistake he made through entering the Great War. I want to show you all that they proposed a peace that we won't ever accept just to show that Altai is the one that doesn't want peace. Well I let you all judge.
Here is their counteroffer:

1.Christian lands of Zamosk, Cala Ostrov, and Ira Ostrov are granted full independence and this new state will be in alliance with the Talemantine Empire.

2.Principality of Altai must resign from the EDF Altai cannot sign any military agreements with Frescania, Götarike, Carentania, or any EDF nations on a bilateral basis.

3.Altai must pay reparations to the Talemantine Empire and the Empire of Greater Engellex totaling the amount of expenses each state has had to incur since the beginning of the conflict and estimated costs for rebuilding damaged areas.

4.Altaic Armed Forces to be capped at totaling of 50,000 men (including reserves). Military ProNat will be disbanded. Altaic navy will be disbanded and remaining ships scrapped. This provision may be overridden with the permission of Engellex and the Talemantine Empire.

5.Altaic government and officials shall remain in place and be recognized by the governments of the Talemantine Empire and Greater Engellex.

6.There will be no ceasefire until a treaty is signed.

The current terms are a blatant attempt to turn Gorno-Altai into another puppet.
