Interview with Chancellor Alen Karin about future of the nation​

The Adevarul de Altaisk has managed to make an interview with Chancellor Alen Karin in which we managed to get important information about what the government plans for the future of the people in Altai.

Reporter: Chancellor Karin, when your cabinet was elected you promised that the economy of the nation would be launched. How do you plan to do it?

Chancellor Karin: The economy is a grave problem now. After the Hetmans took power in the 90s and during their entire reign, the economy has gradually deteriorated and now, the heavy industry is nearly inexistent. We are now taking two paths to launch the economy.

The first one is the oil industry. I don’t know why, but the past regime has shown how incompetent they where because, if they would have developed this industry, now Altai would have competed with the Talemantine Empire and Jurzan as oil exporters. But instead, at the end of their regime, the ground on which we stand is full of around 8% of the world’s oil reserve but still we imported oil products from the Talemantine Empire. Now we started a joint venture with the Kyiv, namely with RusOil and in parallel with them, we will soon start a program in with we will expand the extraction by building more oil wells.

The second path we will take would be a reform of the taxing system. We inherited from the Hetmanate, in the tax system, an enormous bureaucratic system with hundreds of taxes per capita. I even believe a study that was made in the autumn that shown in Altai the biggest number of taxes per capita in Himyar and one of the biggest from the world. In brief, we plan a reform in which we disband many of those puny taxes and try to lower the some of the other taxes, especially the manpower tax and the VAT. But we will also promote the export of products that Altai is famous for, namely wine and other spirit drinks. We will raise the sin tax and with the signing of free trade agreements in Polasciana and Danzig, I am sure that such products will soon flood their markets.

Reporter: There was a scandal started with the CFA’s and AltAir’s retreat from Zamosk. How do you comment?”

Chancellor Karin: Before looking in the mount of the politicians in opposition and the people in the media, look at the name of the CFA. Caile Ferate Altaice. After the treaty of Talemaniki, the Zamosk Oblast became an independent country, so mathematically speaking, its territory and people are no longer Altaian nationals, but Zamoskan nationals of Altaian ethnicity. So, I find it normal for the two companies to retreat from Zamosk. I don’t know why it is so much scandal about this, because we only stopped the travels and flights. The planes that were registered in Rovograd and the locomotives and carriages that belong to the Rovograd airport and depot will be inherited by the Zamoskan government.

Reporter: There was an exchange of sharp replicas between the OBA and the Engellex Government. What do have to say about it?

Chancellor Karin: First, we have to look at the events that happened before this. In 2010, some members of the Salvation Army traveled into the Uroduah Oblast and opened fire, killing around 40 Muslim citizens living in the village of Siddi el Hani. I am now not saying that the Diagists and Muslims are saints and the Christians are devils. Yes, the Diagists under Sorin Lazarev have killed Christians in Zamosk. The OBA has managed to punish the Diagist war criminals. Now, they have to apprehend the Christian war criminals. They don’t need international support for that just to work with the Zamoskan Government
.
Reporter: During the exchange of replicas between the two, the Engellex responses called the government a tyranny. What do you have to say?

Chancellor Karin: The Engellexic response was disturbing to all Altaians that went to the election held last year. The OBA called for the punishment of the Salvationist war criminals and the Engellexic response was to call this a persecution of Christians. Further more it also shows how ignorant are the Engellexic officials to the other people of Europe. But, above that I still find no link between the punishment of some war criminals and Christian persecutions and the policies of our so called “tyranny”.

► In a large ceremony today, the old Danish cruiser Frits Nobel, was baptized as Czarina Anastasia. It will take the title flagship of the Altaic National Fleet from the Frigate Cherep, after the sinking of the Cruiser Czar Edvard II in the Sindh Sea during the Second Great War.

►A new crisis unfold after a deal between Danmark and Altai in which the Danes obtained unrestricted rights to use the military port of the city Dara. The first move of the Danish fleet was to send a fleet of 24 destroyers and one aircraft carrier. In response the Talemantine Empire felt the move as endangering to himself so, he criticized it, without respecting the sovereignty of Altai, especially if the Danish fleet would be stationed on Altaic waters, not Talemantine, not Zamoskan, not even international waters.

► The Engellexic Ambassador was given 24 hours to leave Altai after a similar move was made by the Empire of Great Engellex. In their statement, the Engellexic government called the Principality an inferior nation that surely in their eyes doesn’t even have sovereign rights. The Altaic ambassador was obliged to leave Dulwich after a declaration of the Minister Pavlichenko in which he tried to present to Europe the imperialism and aggressiveness of the two empires.

Sfatul Țării approves amendment regarding the state religion ​

Today, the members of the Sfatul Țării voted approving one of the most important amendment in Altaic post socialist history. The amendment would change the 4th article of the Altaic Constitution from calling Diagism the state religion of Altai and a force of Altaic traditionalism that kept a multicultural country united in face for foreign influences. The Article would be changed and joined with the 5th article which regarded the inexistence of the discrimination regarding nationalities, thus resulting the following article:

“Altai is the common and indivisible homeland of all its citizens, without any discrimination on account of race, nationality, ethnic origin, language, religion, sex, opinion, political adherence, property, or social origin.”

“It is an important step ahead for the government’s social freedom’s plans. From now on, Altai has no state religion and thus the members from each religion are equal before the law, Muslims, Diagists and Christians will be equal from now on. We hope that from this day, Altai will be considered safe by foreigners, now that we changed a segment of our law that was obsolete and outdated in a modern society.”

Social reforms on same-sex marriages Sfatul Țării have approved a law that will give the right of same-sex couples to unite in the face of the Great Spirit/God/Allah but also in the face of the people in the sacred union of marriage. Even if the Diagist tradition wasn't stigmatizing homosexuality and before the People's Republic the Diagist priests sometimes even married gays, the practice was stopped during the Hetmanate. The subject was again brought into the light when a governmental campaign whose mission was to modernize the country reached the current program. The idea of the law was given after the association of LGBT right called ACCEPT managed to gather around one million signatures in their petition of legalizing gay marriage. People celebrating religion with no state religion Thousands of people gathered in important Diagist, Christian and Muslim centers of belief after government decree declared that 18th of May is to be the day when religious freedom is celebrated in Altai. Reconstruction transforms into construction Siddi el Hani, Uroduah Autonomous Oblast After the western regions of the Uroduah Autonomous Oblast were witness to the Talemantine invasion, with Dialgorod and Siddi el Hani suffering the most, the region finally recovered from its wounds. The reconstruction program was finished before the deadline mostly because of the arrangement made between the government and the Danish government, in which the reconstruction commission received $600m. The most affected regions being Dialgorod and Siddi el Hani, most money went in rebuilding the Spitalul Universitar and the surroundings of Dialgorod and the village Siddi el Hani. The next move on the agenda will be to reconstruct the railways linking Siddi el Hani, Dialgorod and Ulma to the national network, followed by repairing and asphalting the roads in the regions where the fight took place. Military Exercises in Dialgorod Dialgorod, Uroduah Autonomous Oblast The War Ministry has invited forces from Frescania, Jurzan and Danmark in Dialgorod to have some coordinated military exercises along the National Army of Altai and the National Fleet. Minister of External Affairs visits Frescania Fortaleza Real, Frescania Minister of External Affairs Mikhail Pavlichenko left Altaisk early today, leaving towards Fortaleza Real, Frescania. There wasn't much information released regarding the meeting between him and his Frescanian counterpart. From the site of the ministry, we found out that the visit is centered around cooperation between our two nations and also to talk about the Frescanian program of democratic assistance. Memorial held in Altaisk	Lowering of the manpower and corporate taxes
Government to lower the manpower and corporate taxes The government organized a memorial to the soldiers that fallen in the Sindh Sea front of the August Catastrophe. The memorial is held for both Altaic and Engellexic pilots and seamen that died defending their people's interests in the war that raged in the Sindh Sea from November 2011 until January the current year. In the ceremony, the Chancellor and Defense Minister both laid wreaths of flowers to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. In his speech, Chancellor Karin publicly apologized for the attack on the Zadar Istria Islands and hoped that the relation between Altai and Engellex is on the way of improving. "It is important for us to keep the relation as warm as we can. The times are changing. We must keep ourselves easily adaptable as friends and enemies continuously rise and fall." Commented Chancellor Alen Karin	The Sfatul Țării have voted today a reduction of the manpower and corporate taxes. The main purpose of the reduction of the manpower tax is to encourage the creation of small and middle sized businesses. And the purpose of the reduction of the corporate taxes is to provide an invitation of foreign businesses and companies. The Ministry of Finances took Frescania's actions in economy as a model for the Altaic tax changes. "We expect a rise of the deficit in the short term but it will help the economy and will encourage people to open businesses and in the long term we expect the number of medium and large taxpayers to rise and thus lower the deficit in the medium and long terms." Earlier in the news, Chancellor Karin said in an interview that after the Sfatul Țării will approve the tax changes, the Oil programs with Kyiv will be soon completed. As we said earlier beside the Kyivan program the government started a parallel program of building oil wells. The governments expects a record to be set in the terms of oil extraction in Altai.

It can with truth be said that what took place to-day in the august ancient metropolis of Altai was of a nature to bring satisfaction to the high position of both her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet and Parliament, and the Lord Commissioner and his Cabinet of Zadarska. The Imperial Parliament, in fact, like the people of Zadar-Istria, has found itself in a state of surprise and excitement.

The ministers of the European and Imperial Ministry stand aghast, as well they should, at such a display of humility and consideration, and will recommend to her Majesty the Queen-Empress to undo the mischief to Engello-Altai relations as swiftly and completely as is capable by my ministry.

A ministerial delegation shall be invited to Dulwich at the earliest convenience for the permanent settlement of our relations.​

News from the meeting in Fortaleza Real​

Foreign Minister Mikhail Pavlichenko returned last night from Fortaleza Real and in this morning participated in a press conference. He described his Frescanian and Jurzani counterparts as very intelligent people that wish the best for their people and nations. But above all, all members of the conference wanted peace. They succeeded in making their plans reality as the Frescanian press firstly published the news of the HPP, The Himyar Partnership for Peace was created.
The nations of Altai, Jurzan and Frescania through this have vowed to defend each other in case of external imperialist aggression but also assured the world that the alliance's purpose is of defense only.

You must be registered for see images Car bomb in front of the Sultan Fariid Temple A car bomb exploded in front of the Sultan Fariid Temple in Dara. The explosion killed 135 people that were exiting the temple after the morning sermon. The blast also injured another 117 people that needed hospitalization. "We do what we can to save them. We have around 40 people in serious condition and the rest have minor wounds that will be discharged from the hospital tonight. IT is a shock to the Altaic people that there are people that believe they are strong by attacking and killing unarmed people." Commented a paramedic in front of the hospital The car bomb exploded at 9 am, but a security camera from the an across the street bank recorded the moment when the car was parked minutes earlier in front of the temple and also gave the police an image of the man that parked the car. While the paramedics were rushing with the wounded people to the hospital, the police immediately close the neighborhood and began searching for the terrorist. By 12pm, after a short shootout, the terrorist was captured alive after hiding in a construction site. The police shot the man in the shoulder and when they brought him to the hospital, the doctors found out that he took a handful of sleeping pills and died in the hospital. The secret services found in his pocket a ticket that is issued in the Altaic part of the border with Zamosk for the people that choose to move to Altai. "It is a cowardly attack. The man came from Zamosk. What motive should have now that free religion was declared? If he is part of a terrorist cell, we don't know but we have an important clue. When he was surrounded and bleeding, the police was yelling at him to throw the pistol down, he simply said: We hate pagans. The statement it was said in the same way like in February when Florin Zelenko was assassinated at a conference of the Free Liberal Party. When the assassin was caught, he simply said: We hate anarchists. The plural clearly shows that we are facing a terrorist cell based in Zamosk." Commented Lt. Commissar Avdeev.

Hetman declares national mobilizationIn a press conference after the terrorist attack in Dara, Hetman Darko Garin declared that the ProNat cannot defend the Altaic people without the help of the army. The terrorist attack have shown that the defense system of Altai isn't so effective as the officials declared and for that there must be some changes."The army must mobilize immediately. We are facing a serious crisis and we must be prepared for everything, including invasion. "Until the crisis is solved, the Government ordered the closing of the border with Zamosk. "We are sorry for the people that wanted to move in Altai in the last days of the six-months of the open borders. But what happened is unacceptable. There is a terrorist cell in Zamosk that needs to be stopped. I won't speculate if they are helped or not by the Rovograd government, but they used the treaty between Altai and Zamosk to enter the Dara Krajina and plot against the Altaic people."​Commented Hetman Darko Garin

We are outrageous at this senseless terrorist attack and we hope that the authorities in Altai can bring conform to the affected population. The Republic will send all the aide possible so that the affected people can get food, water and shelter. We will also called on the Himyar Partnership to begin providing supplies to help Altai recover.

On the diplomatic front, the Republic hopes that a peaceful solution is found and that the Altai border is reopened as soon as the situation calms down.

His Danic Majesty's Government is gravely shocked, appalled and condemns in the strongest manner the gross atrocity inflicted upon ordinary Altaic citizens in the free, peaceful and lawful practice of religion, and send our profound condolences to all those murdered, maimed and otherwise traumatised by this abhorrent and despicable turn of events.

We are deeply concerned at the revelation that this inhuman act was committed by a resident of Zamosk and that he was able to firstly, remain undetected by the Zamoscan authorities, with no knowledge if he was a lone agent or part of a greater terrorist network and that, secondly, able to cross the border between Zamosca and Altai unhindered.

This news moves us to, firstly, demand that the authorities of Zamosca undertake stringent and thorough measures to tackle all forms of domestic terrorism as in this case it is clear that the Zamoscan authorities have failed either through imcompetance or by direct complicity in the transit of this known terrorist. If this is the case, we also are concerned as to how many other terrorists have, either through incompetence or complicity, been allowed to cross the border to Altai, as sleeping cells.

Secondly, the authorities in Zamosca, charged as they are with the maintenance of law and discipline, should sharpen their act and behave in a indiscriminatory and responsible manner.

Thirdly, there should be direct liaison between the authorities in Zamosca and the government of the Principality of Altai in jointly cooperating on rooting out and punishing all forms of terrorism. This event makes such a liaision a total necessity.

The immediate reaction of the authorities of the Principality of Altai are understandable and the closure of the border is a responsible act becoming of any state afflicted by such an atrocity and general insecurities as to the existance of other dormant individuals, acting alone or in concert, which may already be hiding within Altai, and with clear geographical links to the emanation of this specific terrorist act. As such, the closure of the border is an inherently necessary but ultimately short-term measure. For this measure to be short term, it requires the total cooperation of the Zamoscan authorities and the leverage of the Talemantine Empire upon Zamosca and a high-level cooperation with Altaic authorities.

We also urge Altaic enforcement agencies to increase their vigilance in maintaining checks upon persons crossing into the principality.

His Majesty's Danic government, charged with the greater defence of the Altaic principality, urges in the most friendly way, that the Talemantine Empire utilises its considerable leverage upon Zamosca to preserve the greater peace.

In the meantime, the Crown Forces shall increase their presence along the borders of Zamosca in an effort of maintaining the stability of what may appear to be a porous border and apprehend anyone caught to be either have illegally crossed and to be pre-emptive and vigilant in intercepting persons that have crossed the frontier.

After an emergency meeting of the Council of Elders, the Reformed Church of Potenza has decided to ask members of Potenza's Reformed community to gather donations to be delivered to assist in the reconstruction of the buildings, as well as to offer material assistance to those afflicted by the attacks.

On behalf of His Imperial Majesty's government we wish to extend our complete condolences to the families that were affected by this tragedy. We also condemn the actions of these individuals and that no one deserves to be the brunt of these types of attacks. We sympathies with the plight of the people of Altai as Talemantros was once the target of terrorism decades ago, terrorism that was sponsored by the then government of Altai. We pray for the culprits of this terrorist group to be brought to justice and that our assistance in this accomplishment should the Principality wish it.

Despite this recent terrible events, we must remind the government of Altai of their treaty responsibilities to both the Talemantine Empire and Zamosca. As per the Treaty of Talemaniki, the Altaic-Zamoscan Border must remain open to allow the unhindered travel of persons wishing to move from Zamosca to Altai and from Altai to Zamosca. This tenet of the treaty was insisted upon by the Altaic government and that the closing of the border with Zamosca, for any reason, before the deadline at the end of July is a violation of the Treaty of Talemaniki. To violate a treaty, in whole or in part, calls into question the integrity of the treaty and this is that we cannot allow the questioning of the integrity of the treaty that guarantees the independence of Zamosca and ends the state of war between Talemantros and Altai.

We demand that the border between Altai and Zamosca be opened immediately and for Altai to immediately return to being in compliance with the Treaty of Talemaniki. If the state of Altai wishes to reexamine the tenet of the Treaty of Talemaniki controlling the Altaic-Zamoscan border then we shall willingly hear it. The Principality of Altai has 24 hours to return to compliance with the Treaty of Talemaniki or further actions will be taken to bring Altai back into compliance.

His Danic Majesty's Government welcomes the statement by Chancellor Florioli, on behalf of the Talemantine government, in extending its condolences to the victims of the Dara bomb atrocity and warmly and positively receives the extension of assistance to the Altaic authorities as it deals with the aftermath of the attack and combat potential further occurrences. These are indicative of a greater and all-encompassing humanity, dignity and solidarity with victims of terrorism underpinned by its own historical experiences of terrorism.

However, we are less heartened at the complete lack of dialogue between the Talemantine Empire, the Principality of Altai, and the authorities in Zamosca. This, and the wholesale rigid insistence by the government of the Talemantines upon adherence to the Treaty of Talemaniki with a complete lack of comprehension of the body-shock to the Principality following the Dara atrocity, does not augur well.

Whilst we understand the fears of Talemaniki, we call upon its government to extend a similar degree of humanity and recognition to the position of the Altaic government and adopt a more flexible approach, and we also urge all sides to enter into high-level negotiations as soon as possible to arrange a conclusion to this diplomatic debacle and restore the footing of a greater regional Himyari peace.

Christiansborg also repeats its earlier position and urges Talemaniki to exert more influence upon Zamosca. Thus far Zamosca has done next to nothing to assuage the fears of the Altaic government and until that time, we do not see Altaisk retracting from its position. As such Zamosca, in its deafening and woeful silence, lack of appropriate and effective measures or pronouncement of any kind, is as great a threat to the integrity of the Treaty as apparently Altai appears to be from the Talemantine perspective. Increasingly, Zamosca is verging upon falling into the category of a 'failed state'.

His Majesty's Danic Government also takes the opportunity to point out that it takes its duties in the defence of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Principality with utmost and absolute seriousness. Any violation of the Principality's territory will require the utilisation of a full range of measures of reciprocal force and force beyond that delivered whether directly from the Principality itself or from beyond the confines of the Principality in other areas, which we will not hesitate to enact. Alongside this, we will act in concert with other regional powers to restore the status quo.

We once again urge all parties into negotiation, the belief being this is achievable.
