So, I tried to do something like that, by sinking Boreas, Camden, much of Himyar and much of Toyou. I moved Sikandara and Media to the west and kept some Asian spots to the South East of Sikandara. Eurodysney and Scania are kept the same, with the difference that Asylan sunk. Also, Himyar was mostly sunk and I kept the northern coast, Bangala and the colonies. This could work, if we were to delete the inactive nations that also have nothing to do with the current scenario and have not even been RPed, like Karolnia, Viken, Coeurleon, Ulstland (sadly :(), Ujorszag, Bereguine, Portusgalia, Arretine Empire, Khnari Freehold, Avaria and the League of United Nations.

I am in the maybe camp. And as long as I keep a coast line with some islands and border on Eiffelland, I am fine and will not switch to the "no" camp!

This is a good draft concept that, I feel, should be expanded upon. :)

Well, I'd say that the most important thing would be to have the community continue their RPs even if we are also talking about the map, not stop "until it gets fixed".

I am in the yes camp but I voted maybe simply because SKD is quite threatened by any reform of the map.

The box idea is something I don't think would help as it would restrict those nations in their region and would be isolated from the mainstream. But either way, whatever the community decides, I am pragmatic enough to go with the flow. If need be, I'm willing to drop SKD and perhaps make a new country but that is entirely dependent on whether the scenario set up is interesting enough to merit such a thing from my end.

Well, I'm a bit torn as with a new map as to where to place my "new nation." I may hold pat and try to continue with Østveg until then. This only adds complications to my return, so while I understand the desire to keep it slow, I'd appreciate a certain degree of haste.

EDIT: Also, it might be helpful to have a list of players who are open to having their borders altered so we know how much leeway we have in editing the quite tight area of Eurodisney. If none are, we know any alterations that can be made are slight, and we can better plan for that.

Ivernia is willing to have it's borders altered. In fact even it's location is changeble. Ivernia always felt like a nomad nation, a celtic nation with no celtic region so just residing in the nordic one.

I've decided new map Ivernia might have a lot more norse influences to compensate for that. Closer to a Scotland/Norway than a pure Ireland.

Well, I don't have any problems if Media's territory would also be altered.

To answer this question. I am conditionally amenable to border alteration.

I do not mind at all my borders being altered, redrawn and whatever. I do not mind my shape being twisted, my coastline being amended etc.

Conditions: - have a coastline with important islands off that coastline; - border on Eiffelland

These conditions reflect the RP concept my nation is based on: Germanian-populated mainland with Tiburan-populated islands, all that in personal union with Eiffelland. However, there are a thousand ways this can be achieved, while other things change. I currently border on two countries. I don't mind if I border JUST on Eiffelland or if I border on five other nations, including Eiffelland.

In theory, and if that's a thing the mapmaper wants to explore, I can accept Nichtstein to fully be an archipelago that is right across from Eiffelland and will consider this as "bordering" enough.

I am open to the borders being redrawn. If I can still have a border with Cyclopeia that would be ideal. I'd like to remain a peninsula, but I'm open to having that change.

I'm totally open to Bernicia being redrawn -- it doesn't even need to be an island or on one. Seneca can vanish, really.

I am completely open to my borders being redrawn and/or altered and/or placed on a different part of the map. Ideally I'd like to keep a Czechoslovakia-esque shape and have a small coastline, but both conditions are completely optional.

I am thinking of doing a diverse mutli-cultural hellenistic state after the new map is created so I may need to move to our North Africa or Near East to help them get more life. A spot in the Long Sea's south coast with many indents, small islands and cannals like Dalmatia's or Venice's or a spot on Eurodisney's border with our Middle East could be good ideas. Of course asking to create an area to my taste is quite a task so I will just put up with any spot in the areas I mentioned, regardless of shape, and may just add rivers on my own map. On Cyclopeia's peninsula since it will probably not belong to me anyway you are free to do anything your heart wants with it.

It looks like no one is outright opposed.

That's good.

So with the information we have thus far, who will be making the new map and when? We're still trying to RP but, I have to admit, a lot of people are waiting and seeing where we go with this...

We've got a concept map from one person, if anyone else has a concept map they have been developing or think of they could post it - thereafter myself or someone else who is incline to try it could try to make the map. Maybe shoot for next week to have first drafts.

In that case, what do people think of the current map proposal? I find that its a solid concept that should be expanded upon, and the more input the more quickly this is taken care of.

I think that is a good idea. I think Ivernia was going to make another one but for now we have only one so we might as well work on it.

I can try to make a draft I guess, but I'd be wanting to do a bit more drastic change than the first proposal.
