Strëd ist Forbë! Vodenskove warts Benemst and Rikhard is Dod!
War is Over! Vodenskove was Taken and Rikhard is Dead!

Vodenskove

Good news from Vodenskove! On a surprise attack against the 'capital' of the usurper Rikhard's 'kingdom', the Royal Army immobilized and neutralized all of the remaining Rikhardist forces. With 200 Rikhardists dead and only 20 RA soldiers suffering the same fate, the city was badly damaged by the attack, with some historical landmarks, like the Royal Palace and the Kongsplats suffering serious damage. The Temple of Heaven, the most sacred worship place in Boganhem is intact.

The attack was commanded by Gen. Stëner and by the interim Chancellor himself. Erik Strakman fought alongside the soldiers and took part in the operation to capture Rikhard. However, after a violent shooting in the Temple of Heaven, where the coward was hiding, that small group did not manage to capture him, only to find him dead with a bullet in his head, possibly result of the shooting. With his entire staff detained and no others to command the terrorists, those of them still armed surrendered with some committing suicide.

In the aftermath, the Chancellor took a balcony in the Kongsplats of Vodenskove and made a short speech while showing Rikhard's body. Here's a transcript of Erik Strakman's words:

"My friends. Today was an historic day for our Nation and our People. After two long years of oppression and obscurantism, these brave men, under the command of brave General Albert Stëner, broke these shackles of steel bounding you to this tyrant. Enjoy your freedom, enjoy the social progress you are about to experience. No longer will there be master and servant, noble and peasant. We are all Bogans, we are all brothers. And I even wanted to bring Rikhard to justice for disrespecting those values, but he was killed in action, during a shoot-out in the Temple of Heaven. Here is the traitor's body, rejoice! He is truly dead. I would love to stay here and help with the city's reconstruction, but I have to go back to Malachor to sign the papers needed to rebuild this historical, holy and extremely important city. Forever will Live Boganhem!"

The crowd cheered, and the reconstruction plans are already underway. The objective of the Government is to lay groundwork for the future government to develop Goddhaus to the same level as the other provinces, as the occupied province was subject to a severe economic crisis.

Spetsiale Undergamot Väle '53: di Drëvern, di Partien, di Ideen
Special Undergamot Elections '53: the Leaders, the Parties, the Ideas

Malachor

Once more, the Bogan people are called to cast a vote in the ballot due to a resigning Chancellor. After Frank Villsun, the first Chancellor of democratic Boganhem, resigned over the Undergamot's rejection of his budget, Engelbert Eitenshmit, leader of the Social-Democratic Party, was elected as Boganhem's new head of Government. However, following a political realignment in the Undergamot over some military policy issues, i.e., if the Government should deal with the now deceased Rikhard fon Malachor as a criminal or as a military threat, the latter hawkish lobby, led by national-syndicalist leader Erik Strakman, managed to attract social-democrats deputies of the more conservative wing of the Party and, together with the communists of the PAB, forced Eitenshmit to act against his own wishes. Responding he could not do that, he resigned. Strakman, being nominated interim Chancellor, pursued an aggressive campaign against Rikhard and succeeded. Joining the soldiers in the front lines, he is now regarded as a national hero and heads a coalition of national-syndicalists, some social-democrats and communists. The other parties try to undermine his popularity, dennouncing him as an authoritarian threat. It's election time! Check the main parties, their leaders and their ideals:

Sotsial-Demokratishe Partë (Social-Democratic Party)

The Leader: Han Honner
You must be registered for see images

The SDP's recent new leader, Han Honner, will try all he can to keep the SDP as the leading party in the Undergamot. Though achieving a near-majority with ideas of comprehensive social policies, their progressive position in issues like religion, autonomies, etc. can probably pose a difficulty to keep themselves as the leading party, and Honner won't help. Eitenshmit's vice-Secretary General is what one would call 'a man of the machine', i.e., that kind of party members popularly regarded as the organizers of Congresses, administrative geniuses who, like Honner, organized a party and its local structures from day to night. Honner is middle-aged and has the advantages of having been the main architect of the underground SDP during the absolute monarchy and of having good relations with the SDP-affiliated trade unions. He is not, however, very charismatic or energetic, and that might play against him.

The Ideas

Economy: Honner wants to continue Eitenshmit's a 'sweeping package of reforms'. Honner wants to continue the implementation of the 'real National Health Serve', which is 'free and universal' to all Bogans; he also wishes to modernize and uniformize the educational system, by continuing the closing of the Aldskulen (traditional schools) and decrease the influence of religious education within the public school system; besides that, he advocates the creation a uniform social security based on the principle of universality rather than financing particular social security sub-systems, heirs of Rikhard V's corporatism, reforms that Eitenshmit could not continue; in what concerns labour laws, the introduction of a Labour Code (Arpëts Gesatzbok), which would improve working conditions and protect the weaker party in the employment contract, already completed by Eitenshmit's Government will probably go forth. Economically, as well as politically, Honner sees himself as the completer of Eitenshmit's legacy.

Society: Honner wishes to keep the SDP (now without its conservative wing) liberal and progressive. First of all, they wish the revokation of the Anti-Proselytism Law and the full enfranchisement of religious minorities, namely Christians; the SDP also proposes a statute of autonomy for Norssex, giving the province substantial self-rule; they also wish to make sweeping reforms in the justice and administrative system, such as, abolishment of all religious and traditional courts, revision of the Civil Code and, most importantly, asking the King to amend the Constitution in order to introduce direct election of the Provincial Lord-Protectors and the cities' Stathalders. Though not explicitly against the True Faith in general, social-democrats tend to support limited role of religion in public life.

Konglishes Partë (Royal Party)

The Leader: Gerrard fon Aldbaten

You must be registered for see images

The old political companion of former Chancellor Villsun, the 56-year old economist of noble descent, despite the loss in the last elections, kept his position as the KP's leader. Considered an adept of balanced budgets, market economy and privatizations, he will try to convince the Bogans that liberal economic policies will yield good results, despite the social problems they brought with Villsun. A moderate conservative, he is an heir of a 'progressive' nobility, emerging towards the end of Rikhard's tenure, and is thought of as an austere, pragmatic man and, above all, as a technocrat.

The Ideas

Economy: fon Aldbaten would probably resume Villsun's liberalization efforts, in order to 'bring an effective market economy to Boganhem', which would 'overall improve living conditions'. He proposes privatization of Bogan Luvtveyen (Bogan Airlines) and the Konglishes Elektrishe Makt Beselshep (Royal Electric Power Company), while granting concessions in natural monopoly markets, 'where competition is impossible and harmful'. He is also an advocate of introducing the first Antitrust laws in Bogan history, which, according to him, would 'be the final blow in the centuries-old mercantilist, corporatist and proteccionist policies followed within our borders'. His proposal with more popular appeal, however, is a 10% decrease on income tax.

Society: The KP and fon Aldbaten continue to be identified as 'moderate conservatives', vowing to maintain the Anti-Proselytism Law (considered in some sectors to be too much restrictive for Christians) and refusing to concede autonomy to the Province of Norssex, grounded on the fact that 'Norssex is not only inhabited by Norssexers, and the Bogans there living have no duty to submit to an autonomous province which would marginalize them'. fon Aldbaten also promises more funding to police forces in order to decrease swelling crime rates in big cities, namely by dividing the Natsional Politsë into two separate forces: the Opentlishsikerhëdpolitsë (Public Security Police - Opsipo) and the Landsvakter (Land Guards), with the first specializing in big urban centres and the latter in rural areas.

Sotsial-Natsionalistishe Unione (Social-Nationalist Union)
Coalition between the National-Syndicalist Brigades, the Party of Workers and Farmers and the newly formed Patriotic Social-Democratic Movement

The Leader: Erik Strakman

The 35-year old Strakman is living his annus maribillis. Leading the opposition to Eitenshmit's more pacifist approach to the Rikhardist issue, he managed to channel the Bogan public opinion and gathered a group of disappointed 'conservative' social-democrats and communists, joining his national-syndicalists in deposing Eitenshmit and forcing the King to recognize him as interim Chancellor. After a victorious and swift military campaign in Goddhaus, he neutralized the Rikhardists and killed Rikhard, having joind the troops in the frontlines - his popularity is now soaring. A charismatic and appealing young man, Strakman began his carreer within the clandestine trade unions, in 1944, having been a member of the PAB (communists). However, in 1948, he changed his position: while he rennounced scientific marxism and left the PAB, he continues to support state-planning, though moderated with some private initiative, and, most important of all, started to feel attracted to the nationalist ideas of the (deceased) political philosopher and excommunicated High Priest Fredrik Yurgensun, who alleged that godly power had always been delegated in the people. Converting back to the True Faith, Strakman presents us a mix of traditionalist and religious attitudes, anti-monarchical nationalism and strong state planning.

The Ideas

Economy: The Social-Nationalist 'theory' is based on strong state planning, state-ownership of big agricultural, industrial and commercial entreprises and important role of trade unions in promoting national interest with employer's associations. Rather than class conflict, the social-nationalists promote a mentality revolution, with trade unions at its forefront, which would cooperate with employers in order to promote national interest. The SNU also promote free and universal healthcare, educational and social security systems. It is basically a blend of social-democratic and communist ideals, more state-centered than the former but not as extreme as the latter. Nevertheless, the SNU advocates nationalization of all enterprises with over 100 employees and their integration in State-controlled services.

Society: The SNU's nationalism is non-traditionalist and is deeply anti-monarchical. Its core (excludes more hardcore marxists) is rooted in an unorthodox interpretation of the holy texts of the True Faith, seeing in them a delegation of supreme power from Voden not to the King, but to the People, which hold absolute power. Hence, as laid out in their programme, the Social-Nationalists see the King and the nobility as 'usurpers of the power which belongs collectively to all Bogans to administer themselves'. Due to their nationalism, they see no right for Norssexer self-determination, seeing their culture as a 'degenerate mix between Bogan and English splinter groups', having the communists' acceptance here. Furthermore, they propose the end and the Boganization of the Free Cities, considered 'the window of aggressive and imperialist capitalism into Boganhem', echoing communist concerns. Though anti-traditionalist, the national-syndicalists are attracted to a kind of socialist corporatism, and want to emulate the pre-democracy composition of the Undergamot but in a more democratic way, 'bringing peasants, workers, bourgeois together in promoting national interest', where 'class conflict' can be 'noble and unbloody'.

Frë Liberale Partë (Free Liberal Party)

The Leader: Anton Leman
You must be registered for see images

Anton Leman, born in 1910 in Malachor, was forced to leave the country with his parents in 1925, when King Rikhard's first prosecutions were applied, and settled in Handelsburg, in the Free Cities, like many others. Having his university diploma from the University of Lübeck, in the Free Cities, his mentality was very influenced by liberal ideas flourishing there. When he finally returned two years ago, he and Peter Starn founded the FLP as a merger between a group led by Leman's more classical liberal ideas and Starn's more radical libertarian ones. Now, Leman, a lawyer and a successful law academic, of a definitely bourgeois origin, wishes to, in his words, 'bring the gospel of liberty to Boganhem, who has been under various yokes for to much long', and so, that's what he proposes: liberty.

The Ideas

Economy: Leman's FLP follows a line similar to fon Aldbaten's KP: privatizations, introduction of anti-trust law, tax decreases. However, Lemann argues that fon Aldbaten does not go far enough. For instance, Leman wants the immediate end of all resquices of the old 'archaic medieval corporatism', including the stripping off powers of professional orders, trade unions and entrepeneurs' associations, in order to achieve a 'truly free market' that will 'lead to a truly free society'. He and his companions also wish to introduce an ambitious Handlesgesatzbok (Commercial Code), in order to uniformize the inumerous and confusing commercial customs in the country.

Society: The FLP is explicity republican, which may cause some problems. As some commentators state: 'if the FLP is republican, then it is against the King, and then, against the True Faith itself'. In an emotioned response, Leman stated: 'I do not follow the True Faith, may be I do not follow any faith at all, but that's for we fought, that's why we like to call ourselves a democracy now'. In most of the other issues, it follows progressive lines of thought in the fashion of the SDP, such as self-rule for Norssex, judicial reform, enfranchisement of minorites. In what concerns administrative reform, contrarily to the SDP, the FLP wants decentralization done in a smaller scale. Hence, instead of a transferral of powers to the provincial (eventually elected) Lord-Protectors, they would be transferred to the Rad (Council), with the Stathalder (if it is a city) and the Landsman (if it is a rural Rad) being elected.

Strakman Opens Campaign With Great Rally in Malachor: 'We Want a Government of the People, by the People and for the People'

Malachor

The electoral campaign began with a great rally of the Social-Nationalist Union in the Kongsplats in Malachor. Gathering over 70,000 people, the square was crowded and the atmosphere was overwhelming. Betting in big banners and flags of the SNU together with Bogan flags, Strakman made quite a show and an energic speech as well. Saying he wanted to clarify the electors and his opponents in what consisted the new 'Social-Nationalist doctrine', he exposed the three principles that would be 'paramount' in a SNU government. In what he also called 'Folkism', this 'doctrine' threatens to create controversy once more, as it seems anti-monarchical and some even say anti-democratic.

"My friends, my fellow Bogans. We gather here in the Kongsplats where, legend has it, our first King, Krayt I, laid the first stone in our thousand-year capital. I wish to lay another stone in this historical place. After late nights of work with the three political groups that constitute the SNU, we've agreed in common principles that all can agree and that will guide any future SNU government. I can call this doctrine 'Folkism', because it puts emphasis in what is most important for us - the People. Hence, we have laid down three essential principles:
- We want a Government of the People, of the Nation. We believe that Nationalism is an essential component of any Government. Being patriotic, putting the People's and the Nation's welfare above anything else is the greatest act of selflessness and nobility anyone can show. With the SNU in power, we will put Boganhem's interests above anyone else's. No foreign nation will interfere in our politics, no separatist groups will try to splinter the Nation and no companies will exploit the People's natural resources. Government of the People, of the Nation means National Unity, means we have a common goal of self-preservation that must be kept at all costs. No private interests, no petty autonomists, no greedy former Kings will ever again divide our Nation - Boganhem is one!
- We want a Government by the People. We want you, Bogan citizens, to feel represented, to feel you have a say in the decision-making process. We shall push for a constitutional reform in order to eliminate the
Hochgamot, that archaic remnant of a feudal past, because absolute, indivisible and supreme sovereignty lies, ultimately, in the People. We live in a group and we must respect the group's decisions concerning common issues.
- We want a Government for the People. The capitalist experience in post-feudal Boganhem has failed. Social gaps have increased - the poorer became poorer and the richer became richer. It was not a spontaneous bourgeoisie that took control of the commercial life, but former nobles. If we are elected, our social reforms will go much further than Eitenshmit's - no Bogan shall ever more starve, no Bogan shall die because he had no money to go to the Hospital, no Bogan child will remain illiterate, no Bogan will be jobless and alienated. We will promote the People's welfare in a way never seen before and no corporation, as much powerful as it might be, will stop us. Power lies in the State, representative of the People, and the State can do whatever it wants with the companies that exploit its resources - we will begin a comprehensive nationalizations programme, we will create an even more progressive taxation system, we will finally go through with land reform, to ensure every farmer is no longer a servant of a former feudal lord, but owner of the land in which he works. Boganhem will be rich, self-sufficient and without unjust inequalities. No starving man can exercise political and civil freedoms, that is a liberal and capitalist myth we must surpass - the future is with the solidarity between all members of the Nation and with prosperity shared by all.
That my friends, is what awaits after our victory!
We want a Government of the People, by the People and for the People! Vote for the Social-Nationalist Union!"

Already sweating, Strakman was tremendously applauded by the crowd, who screamed his name many times. After his actions as interim Chancellor, many people regard Erik Strakman, Chairman of the SNU, as a national hero, and some polls even put him leading the election, with more 10% than both Honner and fon Aldbaten.

Many opponents, especially conservatives from the KP have criticized Strakman's speech for disregading the Monarchy. Han Kronke, spokesman of the KP, said that this speech not only was 'swamped with crypto-Marxist rhetoric', but also showed 'disregard for Our Majesty the King', continuing saying that 'when Strakman said that sovereignty lied ultimately with the People, he forgot, perhaps deliberately, to mention the King as the one who holds divine sovereignty'. That is a 'dangerous opinion, with no place in our Constitutional Monarchy', continued Kronke.

The liberal president, Anton Leman also warned against 'Strakman's dangerously collectivist doctrine, who can plunge Boganhem again in a dark era of oppression and lack of individual liberty.' The liberal leader said, as well, that Strakman 'was an opportunist who is playing his role in the offensive against Rikhard as a demagogic card'.

VIKTIGE NOEN DEZ DËEZ
RELEVANT NEWS OF THE DAY

by Manfred Yurgensun

- Anton Leman and Han Honner met today in a rally in Kongsberg, as the election weekend approaches. The liberal and social-democrat leaders have discussed the possibility of a 'broad front' in order to fight 'the authoritarian tendencies' exhibited by the Social-Nationalist Union. Leman was particularly harsh in his criticism: 'when communists and crypto-fascists join forces, democracy itself is in peril'. However, as Honner pointed out, this 'broad front' is not a formal coalition, but a parliamentary understanding in case the SNU does not attain an absolute majority. Though the KP is not included in this meeting, fon Aldbaten has showed interest.

- Contradictory polls show Social-Nationalist victory: a poll conducted by the University of Malachor foresees 53% for the SNU, 20% for the SDP, 19% for the KP and 8% for the Liberals, while the one conducted by the University of Lübeck foresees 48% for the SNU, 21% for the SDP, 18% for the KP and 13% for the FDP

- Problems in regularizing the electoral situation in the liberated territories (Vodenskove, Svartplän, Dunkertal, Byssee, Helltor districts in the province of Goddhaus), as no official numbers of population with the legal capacity to vote are known. Helga Krakker, President of the National Elections Commission, said that the NEC was doing 'everything possible' in order to 'regularize the situation'.

Undergamot Election Results: the Social-Nationalists Win With 55% of the Vote, Erik Strakman is Chancellor

Malachor

After a short campaign, Bogan citizens went once again to the polls in order to choose a new composition of the Undergamot.
After a day of voting with absolutely no complications, the polls were closed and the results announced some hours ago. Although these results are not definitive, they are very close to the final results, since only some counties are left to count:

Sotisal-Natsionalistishe Unione (Social-Nationalist Union - coal. NSB + PAB + KSDP) - 54,8%

Sotsial-Demokratishe Partë (Social-Democratic Party) - 22,3%

Konglishes Partë (Royal Party) - 16,2%

Frë Liberale Partë (Free Liberal Party) - 6,7%

The Social-National Union achieved 55% of the popular vote. This left-wing coalition of national-syndicalists, communists and conservative social-democrats, led by Erik Strakman, will now have to form the new Government, as mandated by the Constitutional Charter. The Social-Democratic Party lost half of its representantives in the Undergamot, not only due to electoral failure but also due to the fact many social-democrats fled to the SNU. While the urban voting in the SDP actually rose up, the rural voting dropped a lot, which shows that the dissident 'conservative social-democrats' managed to turn their voters against their former party.

The KP, two years ago in power, got its worst result ever, as did the FLP - both of the right-wing parties achieved very little representation in the Undergamot, a shock even for the pessimist ones. Political commentator Yurgen Manfredsun attributed this to the fact that "most people, especially in rural areas or in the middle class voted in the KP, for instance, because of their conservatism, not exactly because of its free-market policies or low-tax proposals. Erik Strakman offered good old-fashioned conservatism but, simultaneously, healthcare, education and social policies. People feel naturally attracted".

Erik Strakman has not spoken yet, but a speech of some kind is expected somewhere today. Meanwhile, thousands of SNU supporters took the streets in demonstrations of joy for Strakman's election with absolute majority, waving flags of Boganhem and of the SNU.
On the other hand, some other political leaders have already commented the result, many of them disappointed.

Han Honner (SDP): "This is a sad day to our young democracy. The people have fallen under the spell of a demagouge, who spent a lot of money and was responsible for a lot of deaths when he decided to strike Goddhaus with a full-fledged military action. Now, we will just have to count in Strakman's good sense."

Gerrad fon Aldbaten (KP): "Once again, Boganhem will go crazy with 'social policies', spending taxpayers' money and creating a gigantic and suffocating State. Our economic development, already achieved with free market policies, will be stalled and there will be no money for social policies if there isn't any prior economic development."

Anton Leman (FLP): "He hasn't shown us yet, but Erik Strakman is the number one enemy of liberty. He wishes to nationalize half of the country under the guise of 'public interest', he wants to stop the Norssexer autonomic process, he wants to pratically outlaw overt Christianity. This is a very worrying result, and I hope the Bogan people will have the courage to expell these crypto-dictators in 4 years..."

Strakman's Acceptance Speech: Tension in Kongsplats as Crowd Takes it and Demands the King's Dismissal

Malachor

Earlier this afternoon, after the King nominated Erik Strakman as Chancellor and he accepted his nomination, the new Head of Government took the stand in the balcony of the Royal Palace to address the crowd. First of all, after announcing his acceptance, he spoke to the 50,000 people gathered in the square in an electrifying speech:

"Comrades, fellow-Bogans. This square is huge today. This square is not only the 50,000 or so who are here, but the dock workers in Seeshloss that hear this speech in the Seeveg, the farmers around Vodenskove, who, after being oppressed by a tyrannical and ilegitimate King, now rebuild their lives, it's the factory workers in Kongsberg who gather in their workplaces and the shepherds in Ziost who made a pause in their livelihood activity. It's the millions of families who listen to the radio in their houses. Today, you are not 50,000, you are millions. I've decided to accept His Majesty's nomination for the post of Chancellor of Boganhem, to bring about what most Bogans want - security to live their lives. Not only physical security against criminals, against terrorists, against Christians, no... It is most of all economic security. To live their lives without worrying how much money will they have to spend in healthcare, if they should send their kids to school, if they will be able to survive in their retirement. If their bosses can respect them in the workplace and treat them as equals, if their landowners can treat them not like serfs, but like people. The people wants no more economic oppression, no more nobles demanding ridiculous rents in the countryside, no more having the serf living in overcrowded houses in a land in which they work, but which they do not own, no more having the factory worker having to work extra hours for some extra cash, no more the intellectual who is despised for not being of noble descent. NO MORE!

Comrades, these false idols will fall. They have no legitimacy to rule us. The People is sovereign, you are sovereign. I will personally assure that, by instituting a Government of the People, by the People and for the People!!! Help me in overthrowing these false idols, help me! All together, we can do great things, great works. We can create a Boganhem where the worker cooperates with the peasant and the bourgeois in achieving the greater good, and removing this nobility from power. Because these people with 'fon' in their surnames are no more than me or you! Even after the tyrant Rikhard was overthrown many took advantage of their political power and are still in positions of power, leading enterprises, leading the Army, leading everything in our country. Let's kick them with hard work and show them we, the People, are truly sovereigns. FALSE IDOLS WILL FALL, AND THE PEOPLE IS SOVEREIGN! THE PEOPLE IS SOVEREIGN TO INSTITUTE A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE!"

The crowd in the Kongsplats

The crowd got too enthusiastic and several agitators started demanding the King's dismissal, 'a People's Government' and other similar demands. Meanwhile, the crowd surrounded the Palace's exits and is avoiding the escape of anyone from the inside of the Palace. The police is helpless and the Army has not yet been ordered to act. The situation is tense and anti-King, pro-Strakman demonstrations continue in the rest of the country - Seeshloss, Kongsberg, Vodenskove, Ziost, etc. The Daglishes Harrold will try to keep the people updated with the situation.

No official statements from the House, the Chancellery, the High Command of the Royal Armed Forces or any of the main political parties yet.

ERKLARING AN HOETES FOLKISHE AUPSTANDING AND DE KONGS ENDLETSING
Declaration on Today's Popular Uprising and the King's Abdication

Dear Bogan citizens, dear friends in other Nations,

The last two days have been extremely tense in Boganhem. After the electoral victory of the Social-National Union in the elections for the main legislative body, the Undergamot, many popular movements expressed their will to end the monarchical regime in Boganhem and establish a republican regime, i.e., with elected heads of state and government. This will is expressed through the 52% votes in the SNU, an anti-monarchical party plus 8% in another anti-monarchical party, the Free Liberal Party. Though collective decision-making is not made through mere electoral results, it was evident that a majority of the Bogan population wanted the end of the monarchy. Still, the designated Chancellor, Erik Strakman, respected political procedure and accepted the former King's nomination as Chancellor.

However, in all of the major cities of Boganhem (namely Malachor, Seeshloss, Kongsberg, Ziost, etc.) spontaneous anti-monarchical representations, nearing 100,000 demonstrators in most of them and even 300,000 in Malachor, demanded the King's resignation and the establishment of 'popular government' (understood as republican government). After a long night of deliberation between King Robert IV, Chancellor Erik Strakman and other advisors, the former Monarch of Boganhem decided to abdicate and renounce to the throne of Boganhem, further declaring he felt 'he did not have the legitimacy to call himself monarch of Boganhem' and that 'the Constitution' he drafted by himself 'had not been popularly legitimated', and that, in order to pursue his 'democratic ideals', he had no choice but to recognize that, in fact, absolute power is 'vested in the People', and annuled the Constitutional Charter, as a 'null and void juridical document'. The King is safely guarded at the moment and is in no physical danger.

The designated Chancellor Erik Strakman, the High Commander of the Armed Forces General Albert Stëner, the leader of the Party of Workers and Peasants Ildephonz Bakker, the Under-Secretaries-General of the Social-Nationalist Union Rëner Rëder and Broomhilda Hammershmit, the Vice-President of the Free Liberal Party Manfred Krakker and the vice-president of the Independent Social-Democratic Party, Gregor Fogle, have created a provisional organ, the People's Council, in order to ensure order is restored as soon as possible and the Undergamot can draft a new Constitution in a timely manner, meanwhile declaring Boganhem a People's State, as opposed to a Kingdom, as it has no King and cannot be properly called a 'Kingdom', having no further political implications than those of recognizing the people's sovereignty, a fundamental principle of democracy, and that of fighting the privileges of the nobility.

The former Royal Army, now People's Army, is with the People's Army, ensuring no civil war will occur. We send a message of reassurance to our neighbours and to all nations in Europe - Boganhem is orderly and is only transversing a period of natural political transition, from a flawed democracy to a true democracy. In the People's Council people from varied ideological backgrounds are present in order to ensure no political force takes advantage of the chaos.

The borders with Saamiland will be closed temporarily, in order to better keep the order in our Nation and all commercial flights and ships will be suspended until further notice, which should not take longer than two days. People are urged to stay in their homes until the People's Army and the People's Council announce it is safe to resume their normal lives. We hope our relations with other Nations will not be affected by this popular uprising.

Proud Salutations to the Now Free Bogan People,
Best Regards to the Nations of Europe,

The President of the People's Council,
Erik Strakman

The Councilors,
General Albert Stëner
Rëner Rëder
Broomhilda Hammershmit

Undergamot Fersammlst As 'Folksgamot' Tsu Anskriben Ën Noe Ferfatsing
Undergamot Meets As Folksgamot In Order to Draft a New Constitution

Malachor

After Robert IV, former and last King of Boganhem, resigned under extreme popular pressure yesterday in Malachor, an emergency Government was formed, the Folksrad (People's Council), who declared the Folkstaat Boganhem (People's State of Boganhem) as a consequence of a lack of a King ("there cannot be a Kingdom without a King" they said). Headed by appointed Chancellor Erik Strakman, the Folksrad is constituted by people from all political sectors of Boganhem (except the royalists of the KP) - General Albert Stëner, representing the Army, Rëner Rëder and Broomhilda Hammershmit (representing the SNU), Ildephonz Bakker (representing the Communists of the PAB), Manfred Krakker (representing the post-delegationist wing of the FLP, whose leader Anton Leman, classical liberal, does not want to be implicated in a 'covert coup d'état'), Gregor Folge (represents the SDP).

Besides having the objective of 'maintaining order in the Nation', the Folksrad has decided that, in order to normality to return rapidly, the Undergamot had to meet and draft a new Constitution. The assembly did meet, under a new designation - Folksgamot (People's meeting) - so that it could start the works. However, the members of the KP (royalist conservatives) refused to join the meeting, citing 'irreconcilable differences' with this 'usurper Government, result of nothing more than mob rule', as it was put by Gerrad fon Aldbaten. Following the assembly's regiment, if a political party decides to skip sessions en masse, their seats are replaced by the party who was positioned second place in the last elections. That being said, the Folksgamot has changed its political constitution, as many KP seats were occupied by the second most voted in their constituencies - most by SNU members, but also a considerable member of FLP and SDP partisans. fon Aldbaten reacted even more violently to this move: "It is crystal clear what Strakman wants - he has no problem in overthrowing our holy King in order to install a disastrous socialistic government with communists, mezhists and post-delegationists!".

A schism in the Free Liberal Party might happen as well. After the popular uprising, the two ideological leaders of the Party, the classical liberal and moderate Anton Leman and the post-delegationist Manfred Krakker, disagreed over the outcome of the King's resignation and the establishment of the People's State. The former thought the uprising was a 'covert coup d'état' and that he was not 'willing to participate in a project with an anti-democratic inception', while the latter is excited with the 'abolishment of the archaic monarchical regime'. Krakker said that, 'despite deep ideological differences with the other members of the Folksrad, he saw this as the 'perfect opportunity to prepare a post-delegationist Boganhem'.

As communicated by Erik Strakman, now Präsident dez Folksradez (President of the People's Council), each party represented in the Folksgamot will present their project of Constitution and then try to 'reconcile the differences' in order to create a 'consensual document'. The Folksrad has not yet cancelled the state of emergency and, unless extremely necessary, all Bogans are requested to remain home and safe.

Standing Committee
=================

The Standing Committee urges for unity in the Free Liberal Party. The Committee recognizes the deficient nature of the FLP as a party yet in transition towards a role of revolutionary action, but is of the opinion that in the current conditions produced by Bogan delegationism, cooperation with select forces of the delegationist establishment is a necessity to work towards the objective conditions for a revolutionary abolishment of the state.

We invite Colleague Krakker to represent the post-delegationist forces in Boganhem in the for the establishment of a World Workers' Party, the to be created party of the industrialist free men of the world. We also invite Colleague Krakker and other pioneers of the revolution to come in Boganhem to submit an analytic paper about the current situation of anti-delegationist currents in Boganhem to the Standing Committee for dissemination amongst the free industrialists of Hakata and beyond, to give Touzen industrialists a perspective on the international nature of the struggle and rise awareness about the inevitability of cross-border cooperation to achieve the post-delegationist abolishment of the state. As long as one border still exists, man is not free.

Presidency of the Free Liberal Party

To: Standing Committee

The Free Liberal Party understands the fragile moment that is currently lived in Boganhem. The abolishment of the archaic monarchy disguised under the label of 'constitutional monarchy' is, for us, a reason to rejoice, as no true democracy can be a monarchy. A truly free people chooses its head of state, not only its head of Government. Although statist and delegationist forces are currently the majority in the Folksgamot we hope that, through our action, we can bring the gospel of the free man to more and more Bogans. Unfortunately, our Party is also traversing through a difficult moment, as more 'moderate' forces are afraid, with good grounds to do so, of the consequences of the King's abdication.

We gladly accept the invitation to participate in said Congress and will dully and gladly submit such reports on the current Bogan situation, which demands maximum attention.

The interim President of the Free Liberal Party,
Manfred Krakker

Situation in eigentlich Boganhem beunruhigt den Bürgermeisternrat: Grenzen mit den Freie Städte geschlossen und Larenzs Frage 'Wo ist der König?'
Situation in Boganhem proper worries the Bürgermeisternrat: Borders with the Free Cities Closed and Larenz's Question: 'Where is the King?'
Malachor und Handelsburg

The last few days have been heated up in Boganhem proper. As it is known, a coup d'état ousted King Robert IV after an energetic and almost demagouge speech by Erik Strakman, in the Kongsplats of Malachor. Galvanizing the mob, Strakman insidiously convinced them that he could not govern with a King, and so, with the help of a politically-oriented Army, reports say the King was 'forced to abdicate'. Even though the official communique states that the King's decision was 'free' and 'according to his conscience', the Bürgermeisternrat (Mayor Council, legislative organ of the Free Cities) finds that story 'strange' and 'incoherent with the King's personal involvment in the construction of Bogan democracy'. Furthermore, says Karl Larenz, the Bürgermeisternratpräsident, on behalf of the Council, "no one has seen the King in four days, even though Strakman and the Folksrad reassure he is safe. For the Folksrad I have only one question - where is the King?".

Karl Larenz further considered that the establishment of the 'People's State of Boganhem' is a 'dangerous move by Strakman' who wants to 'seize absolute power and establish once again dictatorship in Boganhem', through a 'combination of xenophobia, traditionalism and religious fanatism with socialistic, almost communistic practices... mark my words, a police state is nascent in Boganhem proper'. It was also revealed than many potential opposers of Strakman are already in the Free Cities seeking political asylum. Gerrad fon Aldbaten, leader of the main royalist party, the KP, is already in Lübeck with soem supporters. It is known that Anton Leman, leader of the non-revolutionary wing of the Free Liberal Party, is also in Lübeck, together with former Chancellors Frank Villsun and Engelbert Eitenshmit.

Larenz also announced that the Bürgermeisternrat had 'temporarily closed the inner border between the Free Cities' League and Boganhem proper, 'until the situation is normalized', following the announcement of a an emergency meeting of the Bürgermeisternrat with representatives of the Bürgertag (the Free Cities' League parliament). Some speculate that the Free Cities might declare independence, though the Bürger-Bund, the conservative party in control of both organs, is usually less favorable to independence yearnings. On top of the table is the argument that the Treaty signed between the King of Boganhem and the Free Cities' League in 1760, known as the Peace of Seeshloss, is now null and void, because there is no more King nor Kingdom of Boganhem.

Sotsial-Natsionalistishe and Liberalen Tsëgen Yhre Forshläge for di Noe Ferfatsing
Social-Nationalists and Liberals Present Their Proposals for the New Constitution

Malachor

After the first round of meetings of the Folksgamot to draft the new Constitution, the two main groups represented in the assembly presented their proposals for a Constitution - two radically different proposals, presenting distinct worldviews.

The Social-Nationalist proposal, drafted by Erik Strakman himself, with the aid of other SNU members and some renowned jurists like Carl Shmit,
maintains the designation of 'People's State of Boganhem' and foresees the Folksgamot as 'supreme will-building organ in the State', with competence to nominate the Folksrad and its President. The Folksgamot would be composed by 300 representatives - 100 for the urban proletariat (arpëtern), elected through their respective trade unions, 100 for the rural peasantry (beuern), elected through Landishraden (rural councils) and 100 for the bourgeoisie (burgern), elected by various guilds representing this group (for instance, a guild for lawyers, a guild for medical doctors, etc.). This way, says the proposal's text, 'every organic sector of the Bogan Nation' would be represented. One should note that in the burger group, the great, landowning or capitalist, bourgeoisie is not represented, as the Social-Nationalist Constitution includes constitutional prohibitions on estates exceeding 200 hectares and private companies exceeding 100 employees. The Folksgamot elects the Folksrad in all civil matters (that meaning there is a place in the Folksrad permanently reserved for a representative of the Armed Forces and a representative of the Priestly class). Furthermore, following a recent trend in european constitutionalism, the Social-Nationalist Constitution foresees social rights, not only political and civil rights, as fundamental rights. Hence, a Bogan has as much right to physical safety as it has to healthcare, education, all free and so guaranteed by the Constitution.

The liberal proposal, influenced by the doctrine of post-delegationism and drafted by Manfred Krakker, sees itself the Constitution itself as a 'transitory status' in order to build a 'society of freemen'. In what concerns legislative organization, the base of that constitution is the local Rad (council) whose representatives would be represented in a great Radengamot which would elect a government. It proposes the name of that transitory 'state' as Raderepublik Boganhem (Council Republic of Boganhem). This proposal is short, is committed to the principles of liberalism, libertarianism and post-delegationism, and aims its own self-destruction when 'Bogan society is ready to live without having its competences delegated and everyone can have enough power to decide its own life'. It favours a consensus-building decision, demanding two-thirds of the Radengamot for most decisions.

As the Social-Nationalists have a great majority in the Folksgamot following the KP's departure of the assembly, it is likely for the first proposal to be approved. Nevertheless, both proposals will be discussed and a compromise will try to be reached.

Sotsial-Natsionalistishe Forshläge Ist Abpruffen i'm Folksgamot - Ën Noe Ferfatsing for Boganhem
Social-Nationalist Proposal Approved in the Folksgamot - a New Constitution for Boganhem

Malachor

Following some negotiation rounds between Social-Nationalists and Liberals, trying to reach a compromise for the new Constitution, such negotiations seemed stalled. In question was the inclusion of social rights (such as right to free healthcare, free education and social security) in the catalougue of fundamental rights, which was proposed by the Social-Nationalists but vehemently rejected by the Liberals, who say 'such inclusion would be an oxymoron if we want to create a truly democratic state - pre-defined policies are not democratic and disregard popular choice through the vote' (Manfred Krakker). The Liberals would also not accept art. 1 in the Social-Nationalist proposal - 'the People's State of Boganhem is a sovereign, independent republic, catalyst of the sovereign will of the Bogan Nation', as disrespectful of other ethnic groups in Boganhem, such as the Norssexers and the Saami. On the other hand, the SNU would also not accept the Liberal proposal, which is influenced by the post-delegationist ideology, namely art. 8 of such proposal 'the final objective of the Council Republic of Boganhem is the abolishment of borders, States and tyranny', considering it 'anarchistic' and 'unrealistic'.

After two days of failed compromise, the Social-Nationalists, benefiting from a big majority in the Folksgamot, pushed forward their proposal with no changes whatsoever. Strakman told the Daglishes Harrold that the 'Liberals had negotiated in bad faith' and that 'the majority of the Bogan people preferred the Social-Nationalist project'. Manfred Krakker reacted immediately, saying the Social-Nationalists had negotiated in much worse faith, taking 'advantage' of their majority to blackmail the FLP. Krakker said he would not 'give up' in breaking Strakman's 'crusade against freedom, against democracy', and announced he would summon a 'big pro-democracy and pro-freedom demonstration in Malachor', not only counting liberals, but also ostracized social-democrats and some royalists.

Meanwhile, the Folksgamot has approved the new Constitution, formalizing the 'People's State of Boganhem'. Let's take a look at the first articles and at the main ideas:

e) Promote real equality between all proper Bogans, between Man and Woman, Rich and Poor, Young and Old and between all Organic Groups in Boganhem
...

The text is 250 articles long, 200 more than the former Constitutional Charter, containing a long catalogue of political and social and economic rights, describing the political system carefully and in a detailed fashion. The Constitution is divided in five books: I Book (General Dispositions), II Book (Individual and Collective Rights), III Book (Political System), IV Book (Organic Structures and Groups) and V Book (Guarantee Mechanisms).
The Constitution foresees the Folksgamot as 'supreme will-building organ in the State', with competence to nominate the Folksrad and its President. The Folksgamot will be composed by 300 representatives - 100 for the urban proletariat (arpëtern), elected through their respective trade unions, 100 for the rural peasantry (beuern), elected through Landishraden (rural councils) and 100 for the bourgeoisie (burgern), elected by various guilds representing this group (for instance, a guild for lawyers, a guild for medical doctors, etc.). The Folksgamot elects the Folksrad in all civil matters (that meaning there is a place in the Folksrad permanently reserved for a representative of the Armed Forces and a representative of the Priestly class).

In what concerns social rights, healthcare, education, self-management, social security, cultural activities are all foreseen as fundamental rights in equal standing to those of freedom of speech and freedom of movement, for instance. The Constitution also foresees a 'radical reorder of the property structures of Boganhem' declaring 'property is not a natural right'. So, properties over 100 hectares will be divided between the rural peasantry or nationalized if of strategic importance, and companies with over 100 employees will be nationalized and might be subject to self-management.

In the words of Erik Strakman and Karl Shmit, the main drafters of the Constitution, it 'tries to strike a balance between authority and freedom, between pursuit of happiness and collective responsability and solidarity to ensure the development of our Nation (...) it is, above all, more than ever, a Constitution adapted to the Bogan way of thinking, to our culture and our traditions, while having a modernizing trend, abolishing all social distinctions and creating a new but old country.'

Vitslakte in Seeshloss: Post-Delegatsionisten and Liberalen Tsersturben and Brigen Kaos
Confrontations in Seeshloss: Post-Delegationists and Liberals Destroy and Bring Chaos

Seeshloss

Seeshloss, Boganhem's second biggest city, witnessed today demonstrations of small post-delegationist and liberal groups who rioted shortly after what seemed to be a peaceful demonstration began. Police and Army vehicles were attacked, storefronts broken, garbage put to fire and a neutral civilian killed among the violence. The People's Army and the People's Police already formed a security area surrounding the rioters, and the situation remains tense.

It all began when Manfred Krakker, co-President of the Free Liberal Party, disappointed with the drafting of the Constitution, stormed out of a Folksrad meeting and urged the Liberal representatives in the Folksgamot to do the same
. According to Krakker: 'this voting was a fraud, it should have been conducted with freshly new elections (...) the Folksgamot does not represent the Bogan people'. He reconciled with Anton Leman, the other co-President and leader of the liberal faction of the FLP (the other being Krakker's post-delegationist faction), who is in self-imposed exile in Lübeck, in the Free Cities, and accused Strakman of 'insidiously creating a single-party dictatorship'. President Erik Strakman responded, saying Krakker's reaction was 'pure opportunism and hypocrisy, and a venire contra factum proprium, since he participated in the Folksrad and in the Folksgamot since their inception and, seeing that the Bogan People do not widely support his decadent ideology, he refused to carry on his political activity in a democratic fashion'.

Strakman issued an ultimatum to the demonstrators: 'the rioters in Seeshloss have now an opportunity to cease their violent demonstration and summon, if they wish, a peaceful one. However, if, in two hours, they do not stop, the Army and the Police will step in to protect the lives of the common folk'. Meanwhile, counter-demonstrators have gathered in the docks of Seeshloss, protesting against 'capitalist and reactionary rioters', as put by their spokesman, union leader Ludvi Ëke. The situation in Seeshloss is tense, and emergency laws have been declared in the Seebergen province, while in the rest of the Nation, the Army and the police forces are in 'maximum alert'.

Popular Brigades and People's Army Subjugate Violent Post-Delegationist Demonstrations in Seeshloss

Seeshloss

After the intensification of the post-delegationist riots in Seeshloss, the population and, especially, the dock and the factory workers of the city, have organized popular brigade to guarantee their safety. The tension grew as the post-delegationists murdered three peaceful counter-demonstrations and continued to burn cars and storefronts. Then, these courageous popular birgades (folksbrigaden) managed to disarm and surround some groups and defend, with their lives, their businesses, their houses, etc. To avoid more bloodshed, General Albert Stëner ordered the intervention of the People's Army, who, at great sacrifice, neutralized the demonstrators, assuring a minimum death toll.

General Stëner estimates 10 dead demonstrators, 8 popular brigades member and 5 soldiers of the People's Army. Over 1,000 demonstrators are arrested and will be charged with the crimes of rioting, vandalism, assault and, in some cases, murder.

Meanwhile, by unanimous decision of the Folksrad and a majority decision by the Folksgamot, the so-called 'post-delegationist faction' of the Free Liberal Party is henceforth described as folksfënd (enemy of the people) and Manfred Krakker and his deputies in the Folksgamot are hereby expelled from political participation. People's councillor Broomhilda Hammershmit read the communique: "The Folksrad and the Folksgamot have hereby decided that the deputies of the Free Liberal Party that fall under the so-called 'post-delegationist faction' are excluded from national government. The support given by Manfred Krakker and his supporters to these violent riots are not justifiable. However, to assure participation of all political factions in this revolutionary process, we do not ban the FLP in its entirety, and call for the so-called 'liberal faction' of the Party to join us in the building of a free and democratic Boganhem."

The people of Seeshloss, pround of their folksbrigaden, now celebrate the pacification of their city
and work hard to rebuild about 2 million taller of damages.

Organic Groups of the Nation Choose Their Representatives in the Folksgamot

Malachor

In accordance to the new Constitution of the People's State of Boganhem, the Folksgamot, 'catalyst of the sovereign collective will of the Bogan people and supreme legislative organ', has a tripartite composition, with 33 representatives of the workers, 33 representatives of the peasants and 33 representatives of the burgers. In the last weeks, all organic groups of the Nation, rallying around their representative organizations, have elected the composition of the Folksgamot.

The 33 delegates of the Allmëner Vitbound dez Boganishes Arpëtern (General Confederation of Bogan Workers) have been elected through their regional chapters and federations. The newly-elected Secretary-General of the AVBA, Yurgen Fisher, a dock worker hailing from Seeshloss, has pledged to 'defend the interests of the working men and women of the People of Boganhem and fully cooperate with the peasants and the burgers to the furthering of the Social-Nationalist cause'.

The 33 representatives of the Landrade (Rural Councils), representing the peasants all over Boganhem's countryside, comprise the selvsëgndum beuern (self-owning peasants), mitter beuern (peasants who work land of someone else), staatëgndetelande beuern (working on State's lands), and kollektivenlande beuern (working on collective farms). The Head of the Landeraderad (Council of Rural Councils), Frank Krakkenberg, has expressed his will for a 'swift land reform', in order to 'distribute the land in a just and fair way, eliminating big landlords'.

Finally, the 33 representatives of the Burger group divide themselves among the Statrade (urban councils, representing all non-liberal professional city-dwellers), amounting to the number of 25, and the Gilden (Guilds), with one representative for each liberal profession (lawyers, teachers, judges, doctors, architects, engineers, accountants, managers, merchants, shopkeepers, etc.). The head of the Handlergild (Merchant's Guild), Karl Buddenbrook, expressed his wish for 'a strong and healthy cooperation between all organic groups, and, in particular our case, to put commerce to the service of the people, not profit'.

The Folksgamot chooses its Speaker

With the election of the Folksgamot complete, the supreme legislative organ of the People's Republic of Boganhem is now ready to start its legislative activity and will soon being. However, the Folksgamot will soon elect the first democratically legitimized Folksrad, and that shall be 'the first thing in the order of business', says the newly-elected Speaker of the Folksgamot (Folksgamotspraker), Gregor Folge.

Folksgamot Chooses Composition of the Folksrad: the Confirmation and Recognition of Erik Strakman

Malachor

In accordance to the new Constitution of the People's State of Boganhem, the Folksgamot, 'catalyst of the sovereign collective will of the Bogan people and supreme legislative organ', has the exclusive competence to nominate all members of the Folksrad (People's Council), thus delegating its supreme executive power in said Council, who is to be the supreme executive organ in the People's State. And so the Folksgamot did - in recognition to the good work of Erik Strakman he was confirmed as Folksradpräsident (President of the People's Council) as were several already-councilors confirmed as councilors once again. The current composition of the Folksrad is as follows:

Folksradpräsident Erik Strakman already issued a short statement where he thanked the Folksgamot for five years of future cooperation and the trust put in him. "As primus inter pares within this Council, I wish nothing but to execute swiftly and firmly the collective will of the Bogan people, expressed through the Folksgamot" said Strakman earlier. The Folksrad has a term of five years, revokable by the Folksgamot at will.

With the nomination of the Folksrad, the People's State of Boganhem is now fully functioning, and all the Councilors, each of them in charge of an Amd (Office), are eager to end the endless political and economic instability lived in Boganhem, through decisive action in order to defend the People.

We are following the developments in Boganhem. Up to now, we have mainly seen the SNU selling tyranny by majority for democracy. It is of course up to the People of Boganhem to decide where they go to, but their current route won't benefit them on the long term.

We announce our support to the mayors of the Free Cities.

We are also concerned about the fate of His Majesty the Former King Robert. When he wishes to do so, he will be free to settle down in Eiffelland.

Rudolph Kögler, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Vice-Chancellor
