Nation Anxiously Awaits Council of Nations Vote

Getting on stage is never easy, especially on the world stage. However, Judeans are confident and excited at the prospect of joining the Council of Nations. The previously 'isolated' country has recently become more active in international politics.

Following the economy boom in the mid 1980's, which ended in 1994 but has begun again, the Judean Republic has aimed at a specific strategy of friendship. Former President Walden Finkleman said in 1999: 'Judea must position itself carefully. Friendly, yet vigilant. Open yet steadfast. Judea has an obligation to represent the best of the Jewish people".

Following the tech sector booms of the early 1990's and 2000's, Judea's position in some economic sectors have become quite pronounced. Judean leadership have promised continued growth but experts are questioning the idea. "Without a more pronounced position on the world stage, without being a member of the CoN, the idea Judea can be accepted as a technological or economic power is questionable" said Maury Tabel of the Financial Journal.

President Levy spent several hours with H.R.H. Crown Prince Samuel of the Emirate of Danisor last week, according to a Presidential Press Release. The two discussed a free trade agreement. According to the same press release, the agreement will be completed sometime next month.

The two also agreed on a mutual program to fight religious extremism. The press release cited that the two nations would start with an intelligence sharing program and evolve into direct operations if need be. On the same level, Cakistan agreed to purchase several fighters from Judea including a number of the future F20's (Pictured above).

'Not Welcome' Reads Veto​

Demonstrations and media are decrying the results of Security Council Resolution 15, a vote on the admittance of nations to the Council of Nations. All applicants: Judea, New Paristan, Jurzan, and Coronado, had their applications vetoed by Oikawa.

In a letter sent by Oikawa to Minister of State Mizrachi, the veto occurred so that "outstanding international matters of political recognition that have thus far denied significant parts of the world population representation in the Council of Nations" could be addressed. The letter continued by stating the veto was to "ensure a fair future for all peoples in the Council of Nations".

According to the Ministry of State, an inquiry to Oikawa regarding temporary observer status did not spawn a reply by Haru Takayama, the Imperial Council of Nations Representative.

Several demonstrations and parliament members called for a formation of an alternative to the Council of Nations. President Levy announced the Republic's intention to appeal the veto. "It seems only fair that we appeal this decision and that is what we will do. If that appeal is denied we will apply for temporary observer status. If that is denied, we will appeal, if that is denied we will appeal the appeal. We will not sit outside the classroom while the lectures and debates continue; and they are still trying to figure out how many seats they have in the class" said President Levy, visibly agitated.

The ministry will refrain from commenting on communications that may or may not have been sent to institutions of the Judean Republic, notes though that if such communications had been sent the Empire would consider it a disrespectful approach to handling diplomatic affairs if the content of such communications were to be forwarded to the media without previous consultations.

Following recent claims by the Belmontien government that the government of Coronado had a hand in the assassination attempt on Premier Martinique's life, the Judean government has remained silent-until now.

In a press conference with Judean media, President Levy delivered a surprising rebuttal.
"The government of Belmont has claimed that the government of Coronado funded an attempt on Premier Martiniques life. It is clear that the quote, official end quote, ISE report is nothing more than an attempt to cover the embarrassing failures of Belmontien security. They say that blatant terrorism will not be tolerated, well we AND the rest of the world will not tolerate blatant lies. We will publish reports, going back as far as June, showing the innocence of Coronado and negligence of Belmont. Our documents, somewhat censored to protect Judean interests, show that not only was Coronado innocent but they also were actively hunting terrorists. The information will be available on the Ministry of State website. These lies are a shameful, shameful attempt to cover the tracks of negligence. The people of Belmont should be outraged at the either blatant lies or the obvious negligence of the government, whichever the case shall be".

The President also announced his intention to travel to Coronado immediately.

104 Page Document Offers Insight​

The 104 page document released on the Ministry of State website today offered detail insight into Judean intelligence operations. The document, really a conglomeration of several reports, was made available today at 12:05pm Judean Standard Time.

The document from sources within Coronado show that not only was the government of Coronado not aggressive towards Paris but planned to increase friendship. Included in the report were photocopied memos from within the foreign department of Coronado. According to a senior intelligence agent in Paris, 'the rapid militarization of Belmont indicates a strong move towards a policy of non-concession and confrontation'. Further reports in the document noted very low activity in Belmont by Coronado's intelligence services.

Reports obtained by unknown means from Vangala's People's Military Intelligence, show that Belmont's ISE 'never makes mistakes' and is engineering results. Judean reports in the document show similar findings. The document also shows logs of conversations with members of the Coronado and Belmontien intelligence communities. Censored from the reportss are specific intelligence numbers which openly threaten the security of any state involved.

War Of Lies Gains Reactions​

Reports are still being verified as the Socialist Republic of Coronado stands under attack from aggressive Belmont. Belmont, who recently accused Coronado of funding assassins, launched a massive air strike against targets in Coronado. "This is a war which has been in Belmontien minds for some time. One does not launch a massive attack such as this without months of intelligence and planning. This is an attack based on false information. The Belmontien government and media have duped their people into a war" said retired Army Chief of Staff Kassim Hawas.

Belmont, despite large amounts of intelligence to the contrary, maintains that Coronado was to blame for assassination plots. President Levy when questioned by media, referred to the war as 'illegal' and when asked what he thought of Belmontien leadership, President Levy candidly smiled before calling them 'moronic'. Levy announced that the Republican Navy was to conduct naval drills in the Long Sea. The President warned that an attack against the Republican Navy would be an attack on neutral vessels. The President said that no diplomatic ties would be cut as long as Judea remained neutral, which he vehemently suggested Judea was. He also warned that Judea's territorial waters were to be respected.

President Levy Says Belmont Responsible For Consequences​

In a radio broadcasted speech today, President Levy said that Belmont must 'take responsibility for the actions and consequences' of this war. Levy continued to denounce Belmontien claims that Coronado was responsible for terrorist actions and was careful to explain the lack of reasoning to go to war.

"The Belmontien leadership, irresponsible and erratic will have the weight of tens of thousands of deaths on their hands. The future will hold the Belmontien people responsible" said the President, sharply changing his tone from calm to what appeared to be despair.

"Frescania stands vigilant as a fire brigade, holding onlookers and bystanders at bay from becoming volunteer firemen, all while fanning the flames in the house of European peace. The moves by nations seeking to keep the conflict from spreading are admirable; but are wrong. Their actions speak volumes. Their actions say that wars like these are acceptable so long as nobody else gets involved. The quiet peace has been broken by the dull thuds of Belmontien bombs. Far away, happily protected by oceans, the world watches. We are left in no doubt where Frescanian convictions and sympathies lie; but will the world let itself be held hostage? One day, the Belmontien claims and actions, destroyed by fact and motivated by lies; shall be recorded in history books. I leave it to the world to write the next chapter".

Levy still plans to visit Toledo but will be traveling to Metz to meet with the Judean ambassador to Lorraine.

Secondly, it appears that your sympathies and convictions lie with an unreasonable and aggressive war being acceptable. The actions undertaken by Frescania appear to condone the actions of Belmont. We only recognize that wars happened, and while we do not like the fact Belmont seems to have fabricated the war, we cannot side with Coronado either.
