Ministry of State Releases 67 Additional Pages​

Following intense debate, the Ministry of State has decided it will release censored documents, further proving Belmontien deception in order to orchestrate war.

The 67 document is a conglomerate of 8 large documents, mostly intelligence reports. The new releases include somewhat benign statistics but upon closer review are quite dubious. Included in the reports are a figure from a canteen producer whose production increased by 17% in the past 24 months. In addition to that figure, a shoe lace factory that is responsible for the Belmontien Army contracts saw a 41% increase in production of the past 3.5 years.

What is even more interesting is found on page 62 of the new release (available online). The new release is a brief obtained from Coronado's Army Intelligence, marked April 11th, 2010. The brief warns of increased Belmontien activity on the border in the form of surveyors and cartographers. Perhaps what held the State Ministry back from releasing this set of briefs was a report by Judean intelligence dated December 4th, 2009. The report from the Mossad station head in Toledo notes that 'the intelligence agencies of Coronado, while internally efficient, lack the ability and finesse to carry out any major operations outside their own border'. Much else of this report is censored, but approximately 5 pages are included in the released document.

Belmont Accuses Judea of "extortion, bribery and violence"​

During a press conference, Parliament Chair Nikolai Stanislofsky responded with laughter when asked about Belmontien accusations of extortion, violence, and bribery. The question followed a diplomatic message received by the Ministry of State regarding the recent publication of documents by the same ministry. In the communique, Belmontien leaders accuse Judea of obtaining the reports through "extortion, bribery and violence".

"Where are the ISE reports of these actions by our intelligence services? Where? If we are doing such things, the venerable ISE must have reports of their own. They don't. Why? Because these things didnt happen" said Stanislofsky. "Our intelligence, gathered from 8 countries, is not intelligence or reports. It is evidence to an illegal and aggressive war being carried out by the regime in Paris" concluded Stanislofsky.

President Levy issued no specific response during his morning press conference but stated that "Belmont's actions speak for themselves".

President Offers Seasons Greetings​

In a live broadcast Friday afternoon from the Presidential Villa, President Levy extended his greetings to the Christians of Judea and the world. President Levy hosted Bishop Alexander Gabrić of Judea's Christian Orthodox Church and Bishop Johann Telep of the Judean Catholic Diocese. The two leaders joined the president in the 34th lighting of the Christmas tree star.

"I wish the Christians of Judea and of the world a safe, peaceful, and happy Christmas" said the President following the star lighting.

Tourism Increasing​

According to final figures given by the Ministry of Tourism, 2010 was an outstanding year for Judean tourism. Tourism to Judea increased nearly 11% from 2009 and 14% from 2008. Reasons cited are the value of the Judean Dollar, overall increased warm climate travel, and archaeological site development.

In 2008, Judea led the world in archaeological tourism but saw a decline in 2009. "In tourism you see distinct trends. Some last a year, some many years. We expect tourism to continue growing. As we see continued development of ancient sites and new museums, we can expect continued increases of academic, leisure, and religious tourism" said Tourism Minister Jalal Aziz.

Judea has significantly invested in archaeological sites and museum development since 1971.

Belmont continues to deny misleading world. Ministry of State will release final 200+ page document Friday which it says contains wiretapping transcripts and further evidence.

Etzion Innovations, whose EtzPhone broke international sales records in 2008, announced the release of EtzPhone2 for March 2011. Already Etzion has received 1.2 Million domestic orders for its EtzPhone2. The EtzPhone2 will be available in Judea, Cakistan, Talemantros, and Sinhai in March and the rest of the world in May.

Ministry of State Releases Final 203 Page Document​

The Ministry of State released a final 203 page document on Friday detailing intelligence reports from 2007 to mid 2010. Included in the document are approximately 182 pages of Judean intelligence reports.

A report from 2008 appears to put most of the 203 page document in perspective. The report details the apparent attempts of the Coronado government in seeking treaties with the Belmontien Kingdom. According to report 12.434 (page 83), the government of Coronado attempted to seek an education and science treaty in October of 2008. According to report 12.434, Coronado officials sent a 39 page treaty to Belmontien counterparts, only to receive a one word faxed response "no". In 11 meetings between the Belmontien ambassador to Coronado in 2008 and officials from the Coronado government, not one agreement was reached. Documents obtained from Coronado cite the Belmontien government as being 'adversarial to the point of almost being hostile'.

Judean intelligence report 478-L-327 (page 119) records disturbing entries for 2009. Included are the rapid deployment of recruiting centers within Belmont and an increased intelligence action aimed at the military of both Lorraine and Coronado. Judean reports say these operations lasted for months before Belmontiens ceased in depth operations in March of 2010.

A Judean report from June 2010 (page 149) shows Belmontien wargames planned based on the terrain of Coronado. While much of report 234-P-910 is censored, it still includes many details including training missions for attack aircraft based on targets in Coronado.

Judean officials claim that while this final report doesn't map the road to war, it certainly includes numerous road signs. President Levy said of the most recent release that "it clearly shows that this war was long planned and has no reactionary element".

Judeans irked by Council of Nations​

Following denial of membership, which many Judeans viewed as gravely insulting, an appeal to the decision was filed. Insulting the Judean Republic further, the Council of Nations refused to acknowledge the appeal. Many now have the Council of Nations as being elitist, exclusionary, and blundering.

President Levy said that Judeans should take it personally. Since the veto, issued by Oikawa, a number of issues have had to be shelved. Despite the snub, the Republic has submitted a final application for admission. Many Judeans and others remain disappointed at the lack of action on the part of the Council of Nations in regards to the conflict between Belmont and Coronado. President Levy responded that "had the Republic been admitted, evidence against Belmont could have been brought to the floor of diplomacy instead of the press and an actual attempt at seeking peace could have been mounted".

TO THE PRINCES AND CHIEFS OF THE JUDEAN REPUBLIC​

It is to be expressed, upon instruction of Her Engellexic Majesty, and Cabinet, of our suspicion to the extraordinary efforts on the part of the Judean Government with their fabrication of apparent intelligence despatches of the Kingdom of Belmont and the State of Coronado. It should be asserted that even the greatest of efforts are by no means the most convincing, and, we certainly remain suspect to yet to be made known intentions of the Judean Republic.

Sincerely, we forward the recommendation to the Judean Government to make due consideration to the international position of the republic, and, the representation of it’s people it is indeed allowing within the international community. As of late, your actions have been widely observed within the halls of Woolwich as peculiar, and, at worst, alarming.

It has also been instructed upon me to invite the Judean Government to forward explanations of it’s foreign policy, and, most in particular, the national fascination of the Kingdom of Belmont, which has been recognised through actions and rhetoric of Judean officials. This special interest in the Kingdom of Belmont is most curious. Although, it is to be said, Her Engellexic Majesty, and Cabinet, does not affect to say that Belmontien actions are above the necessity of examination, and, in areas, criticism.

First of all, there has been no fabrication. Second, the Judean Republic would have like to have brought this evidence to the Council of Nations for debate, investigation, and resolution. However, since our membership was blocked, the Republic has been forced to campaign on its own. Third, the only fabricated claims we are aware of are the ones that implicate the government of Coronado being involved in assassination schemes.

The so called 'special interest' in the Belmontien Kingdom is easily explained. First, threatening statements made on behalf of Belmont to our ally, Lorraine. The ridiculous notion that the Kingdom of Lorraine must meet the same number of border guards that Belmont has we believe was the main issue. The wild and erratic behavior of the leaders in Paris were made clear. Perhaps, now that the Kingdom of Lorraine has declared her neutrality (an actioned welcomed by Paris), Belmont would agree to keep her border guard the same size as Lorraine? No. It is a ridiculous idea. It is also the first sign of Belmont saber rattling against her neighbors.

The nations involved are no matter however. It could be a conflict between Sinhai and Danmark, or a conflict between Cakistan and Carentania; it does not matter. Judea wishes to help bring this conflict to a peaceful resolution. In short then position of the Judean Republic wants peace. That is the position of the people and government. We also want justice. A war based on deceit and hunger for war must be shunned by the international community.

May I point out to the Honorable President Levy that it was the Security Council that denied the Judean Republic's application, along with applications of others, to be voted on by the General Assembly and to blame the entire Council of Nations for that failure is doing the organization as a whole a disservice. Due to the fact that the Security Council operates under its own rules, I am sad to say that the appeal of the Oikawan veto must remain in the hands of the of the Security Council itself, but I will, if the Judean Republic so desires, as I will for others, resubmit its application in the hopes of a different outcome. It is my desire to see no sovereign nation denied a voice in the General Assembly, though I am not sure that those same desires are shared with some in the Security Council.

Madam Speaker,

The President is well aware of what occurred. The President merely exclaimed that Judeans should take this personally. At no point during his press conference did the President blame or accuse the Council of Nations as a whole. Furthermore, our appeal to our denial received no response, either from the Security Council, General Assembly or any office of the Council of Nations. The Judean Republic received no acknowledgment that our appeal was even received. Even further, an inquiry to Oikawa regarding their opposition to temporary observer status did not spawn any response by Haru Takayama, the Imperial Council of Nations Representative. We submitted a final application of membership on January 2, 2011.

I do sympathize with your frustration concerning the Security Council as I too have found its performance far from sterling, but I must repeat, the appeal on the matter of the veto you submitted was to that same Security Council and any interference from my office would likely have actually been counter-productive. I will assure you though, the Judean Republic's application will be submitted in the next round of those applications introduced to the Security Council.

6.4 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Nablus, Revaha​

Nablus

The early morning hours in Nablus and Revaha were shaken by a 6.4 magnitude quake. There is still no definite word on the extent of the damage, but initial reports indicate the damage is extensive. As a result of the quake, hundreds of fires are reportedly burning in Revaha and both cities have reported thousands of buildings damaged.

Within the past hour, Provincial Governor Prince Faisal IV declared a Provincial Emergency and requested aid. President Levy announced a press conference for later today.

At least 150 dead, thousands injured says President ​

From a field hospital hastily set up by the JDF, President Levy spoke and revealed the true ammount of damage.

"We are in the midst of a truly awful disaster. Thousands of homes have been destroyed, highways and rail damaged, and over 150 are thought to have lost their lives. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families. Our hospitals are working valiantly to treat the thousands with injuries. The next few days will be critical. The Red Star is working endlessly to assist us. As of 6am local Judean Time, I have ordered the mobilization of the Army's Homefront Response Teams. They will be working with firefighters and other emergency services to aid in the monumental task before us" said President Levy in a press conference this morning.

Experts say the effects of the earthquake were exacerbated by the structural design of many buildings in the region. However, they say that new structural code adopted in 2007 has helped to curb then fatalities.

As Many As 13,000 Homes Destroyed Says Governor​

Prince Faisal IV, Governor of Hadera Province, held a press conference yesterday in which he acknowledged that as many as 13,000 homes were destroyed and countless businesses, warehouses, and civic complexes. The Prince also acknowledgedd that the fatality count was higher than expected and is currently at 207.

Fires in Rehava were finally brought under control after firefighters worked tirelessly to put an end to hundreds of fires which erupted. Many were treated for exhaustion according to JDF Homefront Response Command.

Prince Faisal acknowledged that JDF and Breotish emergency specialists would be joining in the search for survivors. "The number of collapsed buildings is staggering. While we have extensive resources, no nation can easily respond to destruction of such magnitude".

The last earthquake in the region occurred in 1999, where a minor tremor reached a 2.3 on the Olaf Scale. In 1873, an earthquake estimated to be a 5.5 occurred in the region.
