Between Vilablareix and Vallespir

Geotrian forces regrouped after the bloody siege of Vilablareix and marched towards their next target, Vallespir. Squad 2A was sent to search the Red Leagues Headquarters located in the Workers Plaza, having learned of their sneaky tricks they searched high and low for any sort of official documents or maps with little success. They found some early drafts of their defenses but many of those positions were changed before the siege. They remembered that they used the sewers but they were also unable to find any maps to find their way back out the sewers. They left pretty much empty handed, it seems that the enemy were smart enough to burn any important papers. MGen Leitner was disappointed in that nothing turned up in the now deserted Red League Headquarters, but he was glad that he continued to learn more and more about his enemy. He learned that they are smart, and they don't abide by the normal rules of war. They hide behind corners, in bushes, in the sewers, and will use any means to take down as many men as they can. He called a meeting with his senior officers to share his findings on the enemy.

MGen Leitner: I hope you all know why I called you all here

Col Hetz: Yes Sir, what do the reports say?

MGen Leitner: Its what the reports don't say, they burned most of their plans and maps. Its how they fought in the past few days, hiding in buildings and around corners. Very interesting plan using the sewers to attack us from behind, it cost them dearly but it was mildly successful in slowing down our forces. We know how they fight now, bring this down the chain. These men may be dirty Communists, but they fight like demons, look behind every corner, rock, and shadow for them.

All other Officers: Sir Yes Sir!

The officers were dismissed and passed it down through the chain, soon the force knew of what to expect. Many of the front line men already knew the horrors that the enemy can inflict but the other men, they had much to fear for when they must step up and face them. They also heard reports that another force landed to assist them, only the higher ranking knew that they hailed from Korystia, but they knew that it will definitely help them in the war.

At 9th February Chetnik Agents (10 of them, while 2 of those 10 are elite Undercover Agents) arrived at the city of Borovanger. Theyr goal is to reach Saro province were they can contact loyalists. They also decided to leave the car at the city of Borovanger for safety reasons. After 12h of walking without much troubles the were at half a way from Saro province. They took a rest deep in some forest. Agents were enough close to Saro province to hear artiliery fire. Agents continued to walk towards saro at 3AM of 10th february. After 2h they realised that group of soldiers(20-30 of them) is following them, even tough they were barely seen, cause they were around 2km away from them in the deep forest, it was all thanks to binoculars. Agents decided to ignore them, until they find the proper way to escape.

Agent 4: Psst i see, you see there, it is some kind of a hole in the ground, like trench
Undercover agent 1: We gotta get rid of those people behind us
Undercover agent 2: Lets divide. me,5,7,10 will go to that trench. 1,3 will go to manuver the enemy from behind. 4,6 you will be hiding left of our trench, 8,9 will do same on our right side.
Undercover agent 2: Everyone at their position, i think they spotted us, i mean our trench. Dont fire yet, 1,3 you manuvred them yet?
Undercover Agent 1 and agent 3: Yes!
Undercover Agent 2: They are pointing gun at us, there are 28 soldiers there.
Undercover Agent 1: Wrong there is 32 of them. They got the mortar out, they are getting ready to shot, they are trying to fake that they didnt spot you.
Undercover Agent 2: 5710 FIRE!
*shoots*
Undercover Agent 1: They are getting mortar ready... My group is spotted fuck, there is like 56 of them what the fuck!? We are surrounded by enemy!
*"Put your weapons down! Or we will shot" is heard from the agents radio background*
Undercover Agent 2: 46, 89, 5710 Use whatever the fuck you have, to save agent 13! 13 Use your fucking flashbangs and smoke GO NOW!
*Agents 1,3 use flasbhangs and smokes and try to escape, 46 helps the 13 to escape, 89 is firing from the left flank while 5710 is pinning down enemies from trenches*
Undercover Agent 2: We got around 12 of them pinned down, is 13 safe? 46? Anyone, Respond you idiots! Omg fuck.
Agent 6: 4 is pinned down! we got also around 5 enemies down, 1 is pinned down, 3 is safe, we are taking massive enemy fire, we gotta save fucking 1 you got it?
Undercover Agent 2: So we rush them?
Undercover Agent 1: (Quietly) Patience.
Undercover Agent 2: What!? 1? Omg, sure. Everyone back to theyr position, 10,5 go help out 46.
Agent 6: Im pinned down!
Undercover Agent 1: Retreat you idiots i will take care of this, go to Saro i will see you there.
Undercover Agent 2: ok then, smokes! Retreat! 89 to trenches, cover the 710 while they save the 46.
Agent 7 and 10: Got em!
Undercover Agent 2: RUN TO THE FUCKING FORREST!
Undercover Agent 1: They got the tank! 2 Tanks and an APC! Run you morons!
*Massive shooting*
Undercover Agent 2: IM PINNED THE FUCK DOWN!
Undercover agent 1: there is around 100 soldiers coming your way.
Agent 7: It was an honor sir! Cover your head! Урааа! Живели Четници!(glory to Chetniks)
Undercover Agent 2: ON THE GROUND!
*Massive explosion*
Undercover Agent 1: Holy fuck! Good are those suicidal bombs of ours! Enemy is retreating i will act like im dead. Both tanks and APC are blown up, together with around 40 soldiers.
Undercover Agent 2: Go FUCK THOSE 20 IDIOTS!
*Shoots*
Undercover Agent 1: Oh ho ho, i got 3 bombs! Have it you democrats!
*Explosions and shots*
Undercover Agent 1: Good good, they are all dead! Im coming
Undercover Agent 2: Good job guys! And to you Nebojsa(agent 7 hou is dead)!
Undercover Agent 1: Here i am, so 2,4,6 are injured.
Undercover agent 2 and agent 2: We will need just a bit of a rest, but for 6...
Agent 6: Forget about me, you go! Who nows what can happen.
Agent 7: There is a good hide out there.
Agent 6: Ok than bring me there i will be there, if loyalist ever conquer this place, i will be safe.
Undercover Agent 1: Good than, lets go.

After 2h they reached the white-loyalist front like, they managed to pass it, than they were spotted by some loyalist soldiers and northern Saro.

Loyalist soldier: You 8 hands up, guns on the floor or i will shot
*Agents do what its told to them.*
Undercover Agent 1: We need to talk to your leader
Loyalist soldier: What commies have to do with our leader!? Dont joke with us please.
Undercover Agent 1: You dont understand, we are from Chetnik Empire, came to help, sent by dictator himself.
Loyalist soldier: Proof?
Undercover Agent 1: (shows some kind of agents id card, like proof that they are from Chetnik Empire)
Loyalist soldier: Ohh sorry for this than, hey! Alex! Get this guys to our duke!
Loyalist soldier (Alex): Sure.

They were than led by loyalist soldier to the Treviso, were the Grand-duke Ortega is located at.

Loyalist soldier: in that building he is, go knock on his door he is there.
Undercover Agent 1: Allright than.
*Knocks on the door of the duke, while saying, "Its us Chetnik agents"*

Orxeta,Saro Province.

Pedro looked out over the hills, this little village was one of the few Prometheist strongholds left in Saro, the so called "loyalist" forces had overrun most of the province and it was only a matter of time till they came here. the Popular Militia had no chance of winning and they knew it, most of their ammunition and supplies had been lost at Treviso and the rest after the Novelda line fell. most of the Militia in Orxeta planned to go east and continue the fight, others were sick of the fight and planned to surrender to the next loyalist soldier they saw.

Borovanger City, Ministry of Defense.

Field Marshall Jules Blum looked over the maps on the table, Monarchist forces had landed in Tremere in Albacente and Tremere and were putting pressure on the Red League forces, which meant that they were pulling all available troops away from all other fronts. This presented an opportunity for the Commonwealth forces, with the Red League divided a major offensive might just be able to break the stalemate along the Greater Borovanger front, of course they would have to increase conscription to make up for the casualties suffered.

Commes, between Vilablareix and Vallespir

At around 0900 they had arrived near the small town of Commes, the town itself was small and insignificant but what was around the town was very important. A large number of entrenched enemy sat waiting for the advancing fascist forces. There were 4 sets of tunnels, the front two being the first defensive trenches, the one before that a communication trench, and the last a supply trench. Artillery was limited but was still present in a few key positions around the trenches. MGen Leitner had ordered the armor in front followed by the infantry, the armors goal was to shock the enemy and take out the artillery. Squad 2A was ordered onto an APC and sent to the front, to brave the fighting once more. Any troops on APC's were to assault the trenches, and to assist in taking down the artillery. The engine of the APC purred to life and began speeding with the rest of the armor. They heard the shells smash into the ground around them and bullets pinging off the APC. The noises of war didn't bother many Sgt. Seelman and Pvt. Abt anymore, they prepped the new recruits for what to do.

Sgt. Seelman: Most of you haven't seen combat before, I get that, but you have a mission to do. If you listen to me and Abt you will survive, and more importantly accomplish the mission to free the people here.

Driver: Get ready we're almost there!
Pause
Go Now!

The men scrambled off the vehicle and rushed to the trenches hurling grenades into them as they dashed forward. Seelman slid into the trench and began using his bayonet to skewer an opponent and pushed him to the ground while Abt stood behind him emptying his gun into the enemy in front of them. Pvt. Steinberg was pushed onto his back using his gun to block the enemies bayonet, Pvt. Gebauer stood shaking before he pulled the trigger and killed the enemy. Steinberg pushed the enemy aside and got up, he nodded to him and began to push forward to the artillery position. They reached the position and Abt hurled a well placed grenade blowing up the artillery shells completely destroying an artillery piece. Seelman and Steinberg rushed forward and began slaughtering the artillery crew, with the position overrun they signaled back to command with a flare gun.

MGen Leitner was watching from a far through binoculars, he muttered to himself "4/5" and scanned for the last remaining position. He saw that they were having trouble taking over the position, he turned to Col Hetz and told him to radio the tanks to open fire on the remaining position. Col Hetz made the order and squad 4C was able to escape with minimal casualties before the position was blown to pieces. With the final position either overrun or destroyed they made the final radio call ordering the rest of the men to continue the assault. They were able to overrun the rest of the trenches with minimal casualties now that the artillery was disabled. However entire squads were still killed off, but this was due to well placed artillery shells destroying APC's before they were able to reach the trenches. Geotrian forces were able to take the remaining 6 artillery pieces and the remaining supplies and continue their assault.

Army Commandant Felix Cantos looked at the Chairman had issued new orders that there was to be no retreating, the Red League must strike against the fascists before the entire north was lost, all available men and resources had been drawn from the front with the Prometheists. Felix was to be given the honour of commanding this latest offensive, the plan was deceptively simple with two simultaneous assaults on Vilablareix from Villaspir and Sala, the Red League would strike like a hammer upon the fascist positions retaking Vilablareix and eventually all of Albacente.

the attack was to take place in two days.

Tremere

Sgt Artem's men advancd on the so called parliamentary building. It was an old mansion that was plastered with communist insignia. A group of RL soldiers stood in the front yard. The Korystian troops ducked underneath a cobblestone wall. Their minds raced at the thought of the importance of this offensive, as if capturing this building would mean that the RL would flee Tremere.

Sgt Artem: When I tell you, lay down heavy fire.

There was a quick pause.

Sgt Artem: Now!

The Korystian troops unleashed a hail of bullets into the RL soldiers. One Korystian soldier blew open the gate with a bazooka. The men trotted inside as they avoided fire from the RL.

A Red League soldier set up his machine gun on the terrace above the entrance, firing down at the Korystians. One of the bullets ripped into Private Dmytro's chest, killing him instantly. The Korystians responded with a hail of bullets, grenades, and rockets, which caused the terrace to fall off and land on other RL soldiers. They moved unto the mansion, where they faced fierce resistance. As they slowly fought their way through, the RL retreated into the courtyard. The Korystians moved up to a corridor. An RL tank emerged from behind the RL and ripped through the windowed corridor, killing two Korystians in the process. The tank drifted through the rubble as Korystian soldiers ran down the corridor and fired at it. The tank shuddered down the narrow hall. It had limited mobility, and it eventually got stuck in the corridor. A few rockets were fired at it, and it exploded. The remaining RL soldiers got into a firefight with Sgt Artem's squad. Some of them eventually surrendered, while some retreated. The province of Tremere was officially liberated, and the flag of Borovanger was flown on the roof of the building.

Greater Borovanger, Prometheist Positions.

at precisely 7.00am all across the line, the Prometheist Spring Offensive begun, thousands of men simultaneously attacked what had previously been heavily fortified Red league positions.

Captain Miguel Franco's regiment was one of the newly trained regulars, the new regiments would be at the vanguard of the assault, the spring offensive would be their trial-by-fire.

Sancho looked at his watch, and blew the whistle, he and and his company charged over the top of the trench, several of his men were killed as soon as they went over the parapets but many more were surging forwards towards the Red League positions.

they reached the first trench, what followed was a series of brutal skirmishes as the Red League soldiers tried to repel the waves of Prometheists but despite the Red Leagues best efforts it was clear that the Prometheists had won the day, Miguel looked out at the line of trenches, finally they were on the offensive.

across the entire line Red league forces were being forced back, more and more territory was being liberated from the tyranny of Marxism. and once the Reds were crushed Ortega and his lackeys would be next.

Saulot/Tremere Province borders.

Section Commandant Vargas hid behind the burning tank, the great offensive to retake the north had stalled in the face of heavy resistance from the fascists all across the front the Red League forces were being repelled, worse still were rumours about a massive Prometheist Offensive in the south which even now was steam-rolling throughout the country. Vargas looked out from his shelter his section was stuck in some piss-ant village in the middle of nowhere, the other sections assaulting the village were in a similar position, without more support in the form of tanks and artillery Vargas did not think the offensive could continue.

Still between Vilablareix and Vallespir but a few days later

What will probably be one of the major battles of the war, the ever advancing Geotrian forces clash against a counterattack from the Red League. In a foolish move they left their rear exposed to assault the ever fast moving fascist forces, which is currently being exploited by the Prometheist's. Unbeknownst the forces there was another force moving to retake Vilablareix. But the goal is the same, make sure that Grand Duke Ortega retakes his country and becomes a close ally to the Geotrian government. The opposing armies more or less stumbled into each other leading to an awkward early skirmish. Both sides were able to set up their artillery after a while resulting the first skirmish to end prematurely. Each side reorganized and began to plan their next moves, like a much larger scale and a much more dangerous version of chess. The plan for the fascist forces was something they have always enjoyed, blitzkrieg, they amassed their armor and they drew up their plans. The majority of the forces were to attack head on while the rest attempt to flank around while the two forces are busy engaging in combat.

A few hours pass

Squad 2A was one of the few squads chosen to be the flanking force, they watched from afar as the two armies clashed. Armor surged forward like an unstoppable wave and provided the sufficient distraction to allow them to easily flank around. They were tasked with crushing the right flank of the enemy and then pushing forward to take out the middle. They crept through the forest and soon reached the position that would mark the beginning of the combat. Sgt. Seelman gave the order and they sprinted towards the back of the entrenched enemy. The looks on the enemies faces were that of shock and horror as they scrambled to grab their rifles and prepare for combat. They had to quickly defeat the right flank if they wanted to win this battle. Seelman's squad lost two men quickly as they pushed through the trenches towards the center, killing many of the enemy with their back turned. After a while the enemy realized what was happening and prepared for the attack from the rear, significantly slowing down the push for the center. They could see that their center was holding but would not be able to win unless they were able to reinforce them.

Sgt. Seelman on the radio: We're not making much progress now, we're pinned down over

SSgt. Koch on the radio: Hold position, Squad 1A is flanking the MG nest soon over

Sgt. Seelman on the radio: Received

Sgt Seelman: Alright men hold position and continue to return fire

Bullets continued to whiz by as they held their position and waited for the assistance, it went silent and they turned to see that the nest was cleared and their teammates were up ahead. They continued pushing but it soon reached a stalemate, the battle for the day was near an end. The armor was pulled back to refuel and restock on shells, the men occupied the trenches and set up watches. The plan ultimately did not accomplish what it intended to but it did secure a foothold in the trenches. Casualties were high on both sides as the night drew close. The skilled crewmen of the armor outran the artillery shells but did not outrun enemy RPG's, few were lost but many managed to survive.

Borovanger, between Vilablareix and Vallespir.

the battle continued to drag on, the Red League tried again, wave after wave failed to break through the enemies defenses. morale was failing, incidents of desertion were becoming commonplace, yet still Army Commandant Felix Cantos had been told to continue the assault and he was despite his faults a loyal soldier, but even he was starting to question the wisdom of continuing this offensive, after all more and more men were sent south to deal with the Prometheists offensive which showing little sign of slowing down.

Red League Front lines.

Section Commander Vargas's men had managed to advance over the course of several days, albeit not very far.over half of his section were dead or wounded and the rest were running perilously short of ammunition, they had managed to repel several fascist counterattacks but he doubted that they could hold their position for much longer let alone continue to advance, luckily the Red Leagues artillery continued to hammer the lines of the fascists stopping them from simply overrunning the Red League soldiers with their tanks.

Prometheist Front lines, Greater Borovanger.

" Urrah,Urrah, Viva Valois Viva la Republic" the cry went up across the line, another victory for the People's Commonwealth in the face of Marxist-Lenovism, the press were out in full force with cameras flashing and journalists interviewing various soldiers for the papers back home. compared to last year everyone seemed generally optimistic, the Red League were being driven back into Saulot and the defenses in northern Saro were holding.

Rumour was that the First Minister himself would be visiting the front lines to congratulate the troops in the next few days.

Between Vilablareix and Vallespir still...

As the Battle of Porsal Trench, for which it will be dubbed afterwards, waged on with casualties mounting on either side. With every man the Red League killed they lost 5, their morale was fading and the officers and NCO's knew this. They kept up the defense until the enemy began to waver and many men were routed. Afterwards the fascist forces were able to easily push through the crippled enemy lines, they were however able to capture the ever fierce Army Commandant Felix Cantos and a few other higher ranking officers.

Later, in the now secured trenches

These officers were trained fiercely to never speak when being tortured, and this training payed off for them. None spoke, one officer even had the audacity to bite one of the interrogators while being tortured for information. After a while they gave up and decided to imprison them behind an impromptu wooden cell.

Attended by the senior most military officials and several members of the Government, this meeting was to review the situation along the border with Borovanger - for a change. The successes of the Prometheists and the Fascist invaders had alarmed the Central Committee in Villesen. While the effect on the civil war was obvious of such advances, the Military of Serenierre was concerned about the protection of the border it shared with this war torn land. At the end of a two hour long briefing, it was decided for the Navy to intensify its patrolling in the immediate vicinity of the maritime boundary. The People's Army was instructed to support the 4th Border Security Regiment by immediately deployment troops from IX Corps to augment their positions.

The Intelligence Bureau of the military was likewise instructed to intensify its efforts in supporting the Red League. It was decided that an immediate shipment of medicine, weapons, and ammunition be dispatched to the Communist faction in the horrific war. Additionally, it was thought best to transfer liquid assets of several million Serenierrese Francs to the Red League as well, to assist in payouts to soldiers and to shore up their arsenals in other ways as well. Additionally, it was thought best to consult with the Red League to inquire if the Serazinist Guards could offer their volunteer services to the cause.

Camped out between the same two cities

"Sir a telegram for you!" A young, enthusiastic, private told the MGen Leitner as he ran from a radio tent.

"Ok... well what is it??"

"Sir the forces that invaded near Pravia have requested to meet up with our forces at Sala, to the southwest of our position"

"Hmm interesting, tell them that we shall meet them at due haste, tell our officers to meet with me at 0645 tomorrow to be briefed on the change of movement."

"Sir Yes Sir!"

Next morning

"I am correct in assuming that this will be news to many of you, we are changing our course and moving to regroup with allies who landed near the city of Pravia. We are to regroup and siege the city of Sala to our south west, we hope to then continue our advance ultimately towards the capital and defeat the enemy. Do all of you understand this?"

All: "Sir Yes Sir!"

After the briefing the army turned towards the city of Sala to assist the Korystian allies in besieging the city and ultimately win the war. They should arrive within 4-5 days assuming there is nothing blocking their path.

Advance units of Directorate 44, the People's Republic's intelligence agency, had arrived in the port city early. Many contacts had been made within the Red League and assets were also placed further afield to keep officers higher up the chain of hierarchy informed of the latest information from all the fronts that faced the Red League. The Spring Offensive that they had just endured had left a stinging mark on the face of Marxism in Borovanger. It was a humiliation for Villesen. To see an ideological defeat at the hands of Prometheism on its very borders. Much anger had been felt indeed.

When the troops of the Revolutionary Guards would arrive at this port, their ships escorted by three destroyers from the People's Navy, they would be quick to coordinate with the main commanders of the Red League - liaison with whom the Directorate 44 was handling with robotic efficiency. Immediately, the 6th and 19th Regiments would be deployed to the weakest points of the Red League's front. The men of these units were well rested and well armed, with capable commanders. Defence was the priority - for now.

The Politburo
Villesen, Serenierre

"Comrades," Generalissimo Serazin spoke to the other senior members of the Politburo, "this situation in Borovanger is of utmost importance for me. So it is of vital importance that each Commissariat under the Politburo and the People's Deputies coordinates to sheer perfection in making sure this problem is rooted out." Turning to his left, he spoke to the gruff personage of General Claude Delacourt. "General Delacourt, do update us regarding the plans of the Revolutionary Guards deployments in Borovanger."

The head of the Communist Party's own military force, General Delacourt was a man of great experience in the ways of politics and war, a veteran of the revolution. "Comrade Chairman, our two regiments, we have decided to attack the enemy forces at the southern flank of the Red League in the province of Saro. The ultimate goal being to push the frontline back to Treviso. This will be a steady and brutal assault. Both regiments are to aggressively push the enemy back. The additional goal is to capture land closer to the southern coastline of Borovanger, to allow a closer coastal link to be established with Serenierre."

"Good, good. But why just two regiments?"

"Comrade Chairman, while we could have dispatched additional Revolutionary Guards regiments, we felt that it would have been difficult to justify why so many Serenierrese were landing in Borovanger, with the tensions with Bourgogne continuing.it was thought best to be gradual in establishing our presence. Given the distances involved and the scale of the foes we face, it has been our opinion that the current numbers are enough, though the possibility for greater deployments should be available."

"Of course you have full authorisation on that front. When will the assault on Saro commence?"

"As soon as the men are in position and we have decided how best to move."

"Alright. General, though I would have preferred you started off with the Prometheists. They concern me," Commissar Bertrand spoke, "They are amassed across our border."

Serazin interjected: "Oh, don't worry about that. Hell will fucking freeze over before I allow them to win. Mark my words, if they take another 10km of Red League territory, I will simply open a front with our conventional military across the border. I'll pour enough good Serenierrese boys into that country that we could kill each of those Prometheist fuckers a thousand times over. We won't be talking about pitiful regiments, we'd be dealing with divisions!"

Silence. The room was stunned by the Chairman's unguarded moment of anger.

Elisabeth Martinique spoke up: "Comrade Chairman, but we must play this carefully, our ties with Bourgogne are still tense and the situation globally remains delicate following the entire Associated Press affair. We cannot be seen as breaking international law. I suggest that instead of going in under the banner of Serenierre as a formal invasion, we should continue to keep the People's Republic separate from the Communist Party. Perhaps, we could decommission a division from the People's Army and have its entire contingent recruited, along with equipment, by the Revolutionary Guards. Because, I do fear if we base our involvement entirely on volunteers, our strategy might suffer from setbacks in terms of manpower."

"True. But we cannot absorb entire divisions from the People's Army." General Delacourt answered. "But this is something we could look into."

Serazin listened to all of this. He scanned the room. The discussion died down. He stood up and before leaving said, "I don't care how you do it. I just want it done. If you all fail me, mark my words, I will officially declare war and we'll all face come what may."

6th of February 1957.

The latest Red League assault had managed to catch the entire army on the back foot, Captain Paolo Tejada cursed the Marxists" where did all these bastards come from!" the Red League's last offensive had failed yet they were still able to launch another offensive so soon it scarcely made sense. Out of the of his eye Tejada saw several soldiers from a neighboring unit in full retreat " Coward sons of whores, Traitors!" it was not as if they would of heard him over the din of the battle but he felt better for it anyway, alas he was too caught up in his righteous indignation that he never noticed the mortar shell that landed in his foxhole.

" Vivo Cristo Rey!,Viva Ortega, Victory or Death!"Sergeant Antonio Vega roared as he fired his rifle at the oncoming hordes of Red League soldiers, while the rest of the army might be retreating he and his men were from the Black Brigade, none of them were going to run from the Reds, after all that they had sacrificed they could not give up now it would be victory or death for the National Salvation Committee and the Black Brigade. unfortunately for Sergeant Vega he would continue to fight another day as he was hit on the head and dragged away from the combat by the remainder of his section.

Borovangen National Army Headquarters, Treviso. 6th of February 1957.

an adjutant nervously entered the room, like anyone working under the Grand-Duke he knew of the mans volatile temper, " sir more news from the front, the 1st and 2nd Slavic Brigades are retreating in good order but have suffered heavy losses, what are your orders?". Grand-Duke Ortega turned towards the adjutant his face incandescent with rage " my orders? MY ORDERS ARE TO STOP FUCKING RUNNING AWAY AND KILL THOSE RED BASTARDS AND RETAKE OUR HOMELAND"! once the young adjutant had left he turned back to the map on the table and spoke to his right hand man Carlos Savaria" if we don't stop this Offensive it will ruin us, our allies will only support us if we have a chance of victory, without it we shall be cast aside".

2nd Wave
Off the coast of Banyuls-sur-Mer Borovanger

Higher ranking Generals back home have ordered another wave of forces to assist in the war effort, sending in primarily aircraft with the eventual goal of re purposing an already existing airfield in captured territory and conduct bombing raids. The furthest airfield from the front lines was approximately 190 Km south of Banyuls-sur-Mer, it would be able to appropriately handle the aircraft that were being sent. The 203rd Bomber Wing, containing 18 and 38 with a total of 1,200 personnel, was sent to this airfield commanded by BGen Rolf Hackl. BGen Stockmann reports to MGen Leitner, the General in charge of the expeditionary forces operating in Borovanger. Accompanying the 203rd Bomber Wing is the 9th Regiment of Infantry commanded by Col Otto Veil, with a total of 2,500 men tasked to defend the airfield, are armed similar equipment to the men on the front line.

Telegram sent to Grand Duke Ortega

The fighting in the north will soon be at a close PERIOD We will soon be marching on Sala PERIOD Be sure that your men are able to hold out for another week PERIOD

1st Expeditionary Force
240 Km away from Sala

The army was marching towards Sala for a few days at this point, doing an almost about face to regroup and hopefully put the final nail in the coffin of the Red League. Reports had come in that the Prometheists had begun a massive spring offensive pushing far into the Red League, also pushing down on Grand Duke Ortega's men in the Saro Province. They had to quickly take Sala and push to meet the Prometheists on the field to hopefully push back and defeat them to relieve pressure on our allies in the south.

To say Operation: Marrow had gone off without a hitch would not be too far off from the truth. The assault had opened with a rapid attack on the pre-determined weak points in the BNA lines, with a brutal concentration of artillery and other heavy guns ripping through the front. The enemy could not have imagined this sudden attack so soon after the defeats of the Red League. Well, things had changed. Though, while the enemy had fought bravely, sheer courage is not enough when facing an assault of the Revolutionary Guardsmen. The initial wave gave way to a more thorough, less intense wave of skirmishes as the men of the two regiments broke through with the heavy guns supporting their advance. Villesen would, upon receiving reports of the commencement of the operation, be undoubtedly happy with the results of Phase 1 of the operation.

Adsubia, Province of Saulot
Red League - Borovanger

A large cargo ship arrived laden with several of the equipment that had been pledged by the People's Republic to the Red League. Several tons of infantry weaponry, from guns and grenades to mortars and support equipment, the arsenal doors seemed to have been opened wide for the Red League. In smaller quantities, though sizeable enough to certainly make their mark, anti-tank guns and other heavy guns to support the ground forces were also on that ship. The Captain of the ship provided the goods with a letter of warm words from Generalissimo Serazin to the leader of the Red League. Hopefully, the equipment could help the Red League augment their defensive position in Sala.

Port 44
Monserans, People's Republic of Serenierre

On a clandestine port, operated by the military, some distance away from the main civilian port, the newest unit of the Revolutionary Guards had been assembled to prepare for their deployment to Borovanger. The directions from the Revolutionary Guards headquarters had been to gradually amp up the presence of Serenierrese armed men to shore up the Red League positions. Everything had to be done in such a way that none of the great powers of Gallia would think that Villesen had done anything directly. So, to support the two regiments already fighting in the mess of Borovanger, now stood another regiment ready to join the chaos. These men would be in Absubia within a weeks time and battle ready in another.

Saulot city, Borovanger. Borovangen Peoples Congress.

William de Maqueda looked out on the map on the table, with the arrival of Serenierrese volunteers and aid, things appeared to be looking up for the Red League, just weeks before they had all be been resigned to the inevitable defeat at the hands of the fascists but now the mood in Saulot was one of jubilation, the latest offensive in Saro had sent Ortega's fascist lackeys running for their lives, truly nothing could stop the power of the united proletariat.

however schisms had started to emerge in the Red League, worryingly Lenovists and Serazinists factions were forming within the League, the Serazinists claimed that while they were thankful for anything that Kadikistan for the Red League it was too distant geographically and indeed culturally to be a true ally of Borovanger and that the Red league should align itself more closely with the Peoples Republic of Serenierre. However both he and the majority of the Red League are staunchly Lenovist ,however given the amount of aid being given by Serenierre this no doubt will change and the Serazinists would no doubt gain more support among the Red League which would threaten the Marxist-Lenovist dominance over the Red League.

Royalist front lines, Saro Province, 11th March 1957.

The Royalists had managed to regroup and form a defensive line, making use of the the trenches and fortifications previously manned by the Prometheists. this latest shipment of foreign aid and weapon had greatly improved the men's morale, after all there was no way that the Red League could possibly compete.

Antonio Vega, now a lieutenant looked over the fortifications, if the Reds dared to attack again they would be in for one hell of a fight, they'd only won by having the element of surprise, now that the royalists were ready for them there would be a much different outcome.
