New round of Papal elections! Severe dispute in parliament about the Eastern Cape! New rebel army in the Eastern Cape!

While it was originally assumed that Cathiopia's cardinal had won the Conclave's vote it was discovered that there was a draw between the cardinals of Cantignia, Lisse and Cathiopia. A new Conclave where cardinals will choose between these three candidates will take place soon. In other news a new terrorist group made up of Eastern Cape Native rebel remnants, calling itself the "Cape Resistance Army", under the leadership of a man calling himself "Liberator Aadan" has declared a new insurgency in the Eastern Cape. The group has fled to Hulst's Cape colony with Valkany announcing that should they surrender within a week they will not be prosecuted and that should they fail to do so Hulst extradite them to the Eastern Cape for a fair trial. Back in Valkany's Parliament there was a severe dispute in both the Senate and the National Assembly over the Eastern Cape colony and the armed intervention to it. Members of Leftist parties accused the government of despicable actions with some even calling for an abandonment of the Eastern Cape colony. Members of the Centrist and Right Wing parties, including the governing Imperialist Party, expressed the complete need for their course of action and said that with the CRA's stunt there might even be a need for a new intervention and advised the Leftists not to sympathize with those they labeled as the murders of 32,000 Valkanians, both black and white.

The hypocrisy of the air-monger regime in Valkany shows only how they know only how to mock the whole international stage with their mendacity. We have reached an absurd point in which the international commission that is set to investigate the war crimes in the Eastern Cape doesn't have to present their report to the world so that the Valkanian misdeeds took place, but to show the Valkanians that their leaders are just a clique of criminals. Valkany thumbs its nose at the whole international community, from republican states to socialist ones, from Post Delegationist states to Monarchies, to present themselves as above the international standards, thinking they can do anything, that they rule the world, by signing the Genocide Protocols and saying that actually, the genocide that took place in the Eastern Cape is actually the work of the freedom fighters. The Valkanian clique doesn't even know how to properly counter-argument all the declarations against them by denigrating them with superficial responses. Through this, the Socialist Republic of Tyrrhenia and we hope that the whole civilized world, solemnly declare that Valkany is a rogue state that is a menace to world peace.

Imperial Marriage Completed! Demetrius XV crowned Emperor! New round of reforms announced! Eastern Gave granted autonomy!

Yesterday the Imperial-Royal marriage took place at Zessionsford's Cathedral. Earlier this day Emperor Demetrius XV was officially crowned Emperor of Valkany by Cardinal Gregorius Fidelitus. In other news a new round of reforms has been announced by government representatives. The reforms are aimed at bridging the divides between Valkany's classes and improving civil rights and liberties. At the same time the Eastern Cape has been granted full autonomy and while it's still a long way to independence the spokesperson of the Temporary Colonial Administration said that he has high hopes for the Eastern Cape's future. Earlier this day Kyiv's Premier Sovnarkom issued special order to immediately halt the export of "Agricultural produce and foodstuffs, minerals and ores, refined and unrefined petroleum products" to Lisse, The Fennian Union, Etnaea, the Free Cities League, Hulst, Ivernia, Portusgalia and Valkany, Valkany responded by placing an embargo on the KNRR. In response Tyrrhenia made aggressive statements and placed an embargo on Valkany with Valkany responding minutes later by also placing an embargo on Tyrrhenia! Embargo frenzy! Severe diplomatic dispute with Carentania! Possible war?

After the KNRR announced an embargo on Agricultural produce and foodstuffs, minerals and ores, refined and unrefined petroleum products" to Lisse, The Fennian Union, Etnaea, the Free Cities League, Hulst, Ivernia, Portusgalia and Valkany, Valkany responded by placing an embargo on Kyiv. Tyrrhenia then responded with heavy accusations and comments and placed an embargo on Valkany only for Valkany to place an embargo on her too hours later. After Carentania threatened Valkany and demanded that the embargoes are lifted Valkany stood her ground and refused resulting in an exchange of embargoes between Valkany and Carentania. The Tulun Remnant and Asylan have expressed their dismay at the KNRR's decision as well. In the meantime a possible conflict between the Colonial powers and the Socialist Bloc seems to be inevitable with drastic actiosn on both sides. Valkany's government is preparing for the worst case scenario.

Eastern Cape granted Independence! Valkany apologizes for crimes in the Eastern Cape and accepts possible international tribunal! Valkany publishes ultimatum by Kyiv! Valkanian frigate sunk by unknown ship near the location where socialist fleets are deployed!

Earlier today Valkany's ministry of foreign affairs published a secret ultimatum sent to them by Kyiv. Valkany also declared the Eastern Cape fully independent and publicly apologized for its crimes in the Eastern Cape, while also saying its ready to face an international tribunal. In other news a Valkanian frigate has been sunk by unknown force. The ship was operating in international waters in the Gothic sea and was on its last mission before being decommissioned to escort a humanitarian aid ship to the Tulun remnant when it was sunk by an unknown ship. Eastern Cape's constitution edited to grant complete independence to the E. Cape! Valkany to put all persons suspected of responsibility in the Eastern Cape war crimes before extraditing them! The new parliament of the Eastern Cape has approved an edited version of Constitution. The new eastrn Caper Constitution replaces the Emperor with a President as head of state and gives Valkany two days to evacuate and surrender the Nova Praetoria naval Base. Valkany's government also accepted the trial of all persons accused of war crimes in the Eastern Cape and the extradition of convicted ones following the trial. Valkany offers to send 200 Civilian Officers to the Eastern Cape! War Crime Extradition Trials begin! Valkany's reform attempts supported by a number of nations! Carentania, Kyiv and Tyrrhenia lift sanctions! Chemical leak in Oblitz!

Valkany has offered to send the 200 best Civilian Officers of the Logistics, Support & Aid Corps to the Eastern Cape to aid with Humanitarian, Cleanup and Peacekeeping efforts. As per the terms set by Cantignia these troops will have to wear no uniform or distinctive emblems, be escorted at all times by armed troops for their own safety and help Cantignian troops with cleanup work. In other news the War Cries Trials have begun in Valkany's Supreme Imperial High Court of Law at Zessionsford, to determine which persons are guilty of war crimes so they may be extradited to Ivernia for international tribunal. Important officials like Emperor Demetrius XV, the minister of colonial affairs and the Prime Minister stand accused while the public prosecutor is to be Viktor Lenstof, an important figure of the Communist movement in Valkany. The jury was randomly selected and is made up of one Ivernian-Valkanain, two Himyari immigrants living in Valkany, six valkanian factory workers, two Valkanian Sailors and a Valkanian Marine Veteran form the Cape war. At the same time Valkany's reforms have been supported by a number of nations while the socialist nations have lift their sanctions from Valkany. In other news after a minor chemical leak in a factory in Oblitz, the HAZMAT troops of the Army and the National Guard were called in to contain the situation and evacuate the civilians of the surrounding area. Six worker have died, and another sixteen have been injured with the Emergency Forces temporarily evacuating 200 persons from their homes or work spaces. The leak is expected to have been contained by the end of the day bit because of security reasons access to the site has been temporarily restricted.

The first day of the Eastern Cape War Crimes Trial has concluded. Lord Johann Odessof, one of the defendants, has been appointed as the Defendant's attorney while the Defendants have been two days to prepare their defense. The court will convene again in three days with the Jury being given fur days to elect a Representative. At the same time the Oblitz chemical leak has been contained by the HAZMAT and National Guard forces and the area is safe once again. In other news famous scientist Alfred Krauss was sadly pronounced dead at the age of 86. The whole nation is in sock.According to his will the Royal University of Zessionsford will give Krauss awards to major contributors in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, and Peace every year at Zessionsford. Finally new banknotes and coins have been printed and minted by the Royal mint while the Empirion of Valkany has been officially renamed to the Reich (or Realm/Grand Kingdom) of Valkany. In Englexian however it will be still translated to Empire. All institutions called Imperial will now be called Royal. The old Valkanian Drachma has bee replaced by the new Krona. Issue #40 - Friday, February 21st 1954

Positive reaction and mixed opinions on the War Crimes Trial! Valkanian Civilian Officers in the Eastern Cape attacked! Empress officially announced to be pregnant! Welfare and Public Health System's funding improved!

In anticipation of the second day of the Eastern Cape War Crimes Extraditions Trial several surveys by both Public and Private news companies show a positive reaction to the Trial (76% For 24% Against) but mixed public opinion on what the Trial's results should be. 65% believes The Colonial Administration to be Responsible, 13% believes the Mainland Government to be Responsible, 12% believes both to be responsible and 10% believes both to be innocent. All sides however have expressed their desire to keep public opinion away form the courts so as to not compromise their neutrality. At the same time the Valkanian Eastern Cape Civilian Officer Dispatch (EKZA) was attacked last night by armed natives whose affiliation is unknown. the unarmed Civilian Officers managed to route the NAtives using hand-made "weaponry" but lost 16 men and women and suffered 24 wounded. The natives only lost 31 men. Their bodies will be returned to Valkany for an honorary state funeral and new troops will be sent to replace the 16 fallen ones. In other news the Empress has been officially announced to be pregnant! Though the Valkanian crowds will have to wait at least 7 months for an heir to the throne of Zessionsford to be brought to life they are already showing their joy at every possible chance! Finally the Welfare and Public healthcare system of Valkany have been reinforced with much larger funding & monetary support as well as new personnel.
