First of all, I must correct Her Engellixic Majesty's historians, the Treaty of 1850 only pertained to ending of the Angylic-Khalistani War and the retention of Bombaim as a crown possession and had nothing to do with Tangaloa as the islands have not been, nor have they ever been, subject to Khalistani rule. Another fact is, the Tangaloan Constitution Referendum of 1962, which was ten years after a similar referendum was passed in Bombaim, made Tangaloa an Overseas Territory of Anglyn and no longer a colony.

Now, for the actual situation in Tangaloa, I am not quite certain where Her Engellexic Majesty received her information, but there has been no martial law declared in Tangaloa, in fact the civilian authority has assured the Governor of Tangaloa that they have, or soon will have ,the situation under control. I must point out that it is the Tangaloan Constabulary that have been protecting foreigners, specifically Cantignian, from angry Tangaloans. Now if it is Her Engellexic Majesty's desire for His Angylic Majesty to intervene to change this, to prevent Tangaloan civilian law enforcement from doing their duty and protecting Cantignian nationals and businesses from attack from Tangaloan civilians, I must decline as this would be both legally and morally wrong. HM government has confidence that Tangaloan civil authority can prevail without Crown intervention.

ROYAL VISIT SURPRISES TANGALOANS

Nuku'alofa - Though a Royal visit is not a rare occurrence, it is unheard of that any of the Royal Family would make an appearance that wasn't known weeks in advance, but today it was not only unscheduled, the timing and who it was that stepped off the royal jet was a shock to all, King Roderick IV and Queen Christina.

Of all the Royals that could have come to Tangaloa, it was the 85 year old ailing sovereign that one would not expect to be able to come, but those same people would admit they are not surprised that the King, if he was able, would make every effort to do so. Though driven straight from the airport to the Governor Mansion, the word of the King's arrive quickly spread throughout the city. Within an hour of the King's arrival, the Great Plaza in front of the mansion was full of people wanting to get a glimpse of the man many have only seen in pictures and television.

Glimpse they did, and more, as His Majesty ordered the gates open and at the horror of his security as well as the Governor Va'ai Kolone, the King walked out to the plaza where he, with the aide of a local news crew spoke to those in the plaza and all of Tangaloa.

"Tangaloa. It nearly broke my heart when I heard of the violence that was occurring here, in the islands I have loved since my youth, and for it to be done in my name, was unbearable. I have come here, not only as your King, but also as your friend, to ask that these attacks against those who have done you no harm, not to continue. I beg you not stoop to the level of those who wish you ill, those who would use your fears against you."

"My friends, I was here when you were given the choice between facing the world on your own or putting your faith in Anglyn. You chose Anglyn. I have not forgotten that, and Anglyn has not forgotten it. Though I am afraid that the day will come I will no longer be here for you, except in spirit, Anglyn will be. Don't believe those who will tell you otherwise."

"You are Tangaloan, no one has nor ever will take that from you, but you are also Anglysh, that too is something that is yours by choice or birth and that too should never be taken away from you."

When King Roderick finished speaking, he was visibly fatigued and was helped back into mansion by the Queen and the Governor. Those in the plaza remained silent but as the King disappeared inside, they began chanting, "Roderick! Roderick!"

It must be such a heartwarming honour, such a gift to stand outside in the hot sun of Oceania while a foreign man presumes to command and own the lands of your birth. An ailing man of 85, likely an age few Tangaloans reach, had the means to cross the world on a mere whim, leaving the wealth of one mansion for another mansion you personally pay for. If what the Garrison King claims is true, that Tangaloans have chosen to be Anglysh just after leaving the womb, then this Union for National Democracy must naturally inquire who is asking these infants, and what the consequences are for babies who deny vassalage to the Crown? There is no Republic of Infant kind because children do not choose their fate, parents do, yet someday the child will grow to become an adult, to make its own choices.

Perhaps Tangaloans should choose the Anglysh life of pomp and convenience, surely His & Her Majesty would permit you entrance this afternoon to the Governors Mansion, or invite all of you for a surprise visit to Anglyn proper at the time of your choosing without warning. Continue to chant "Roderick" from outside, Tangaloans, remind the King and Queen that they are tucked away and safe inside while you sweat and bump in to each other in such large and supportive crowds.

WELCOME TO TANGALOA, MR. LYNCH
By Dianna Tusiata Avia

It would be laughable if it wasn't so serious, that some Cantigian politician in Vesper would think he knows more of what Tangaloans want and need than Tangaloans themselves, and is quite willing to spill Tangaloan blood to prove it. I am not saying that an MP elected from Livpul or Penzance would know what the average Tangaloan was thinking, not like an MP from Nuku or Asau or even any member of the Tangaloan House of Assembly, but I am sure even MPs from the mainland would have a better understanding of Tangaloa than some Chancellor in Vesper. I would never have the audacity to speak for Cantigians, maybe Mr. Ilchester should refrain from speaking for Tangaloans.

I can ask the same of Mr. Lynch of the Patriot & Friend for all Oceania. It is quite interesting that he too seems to know so much about Tangaloans. I just wonder, has Mr. Lynch ever visited Tangaloa? Has he ever lived here, talked to the average man on the street that he claims to know so well? That I don't know. I've never met Mr. Lynch and can't seem to find anyone who has. If he had though, I don't think he got around much, otherwise his stated insights might actually resemble reality.

First of all, yes Mr. Lynch, it was heartwarming that people did, by their own free will, gather to see their King. I understand how you would think otherwise, am sure if Queen Charlotte came to Vesper, no one would bother themselves to see her, especially go out in the sun. As for myself, I wish I had been there in time to see King Roderick, though I have met him several times throughout my life, I fear I may never get the chance to see him again. There is one thing, Mr. Lynch, you seem to have the illusion that we Tangaloans are frail, if you had ever lived here, you would know that is patently false, being out in the sun is not something we avoid, in fact, it was more burdensome on the eighty-five year old King than anyone gathered on that plaza. Though I did not arrive until after the King was helped back inside, my eighty-six year old father and eighty-four year old mother were and said they felt sorry for the King as it seemed that he was the frail one. One little fact Mr. Lynch, Tangaloans live an average of two years longer than other Anglyshmen.

As for your infant analogy, I am not sure where you were going with that. You might have been right when the Anglysh, in the form of the Bombaim Trading Company first arrived on the islands, when they started trading with my ancestors. I must admit that those early days were not ones of total peace and harmony, as we squabbled amongst ourselves like children, but I guess it could have been worse, it could have been Engellex settlers that came to Tangaloa, and as we all know what happened to the indigenous peoples of Cantigny, under such colonial rule as that one it is doubtful that Tangaloans as a people would have been allowed to grow up. I am not saying that under Company administration it was a bed of roses, the company did restore order when Prince Nufu, the last hereditary ruler of Tangaloa died while putting down one of the many rebellion under his rule, and though it wasn't altruistic on their part, they were afterall there to make money, they did finally end the warfare that had plagued the islands for generations. Though we weren't considered exactly happy under Bombiam Company rule, little did we know that we would yearn for it after the Coronadan conquered the islands in 1846 during the First Angylic-Coronadan War.

For fifty years we lived under Coronadan colonial rule, one in their Catholic Church and the Coronadan language was forced upon us. Our traditions, our culture, that were allowed to remain under the Bombaim company, were stripped from us as the Coronadan tried to remake us in their own image. After fifty years, we embraced the Anglysh when they defeated the Coronadans in the Second Angylic-Coronadan War.

You might say we were blind, taking the lessor of two evils, but this time Tangaloa came under Crown's administration, and with it came schools, hospitals, sanitation and something just as important, Anglysh law.

Mr. Lynch, Tangaloans were far from being infants back on that June day in 1961, when we voted to adopt a Constitution that we live under today, we had grown, as did the Anglysh. Perhaps someday, you and your compatriots will too.

Dear Miss Avia,
Thank you for further promoting the wise words of Mister Lynch, and our Union for National Democracy. It is windbags like you that push the sails of the Patriotic Oceanic People further and further each day. This Office can learn so very much from upstanding Tangaloan citizens such as yourself, which is why we have dispatched an application for you to join our Patriotic March Forward for Tangaloa. When you outlive the King & Queen respectively, at a minimum of two years, the opportunity to serve new Garrison Kings & Queens will be afforded to you. In this vein: we heartily encourage that you take the time to weigh the pro's and con's of self-empowerment, as you must have done as an infant, when Anglysh Law and the Garrison State was forced upon you.

Mister Lynch & Mister Ilchester have previously called for peaceful and timely resolutions, and received nothing but faint assurances from the King of Nicosia (A Patriot of His Nation) that Anglyn would attend a summit. The Party recites its demand for a process of democratization and demilitarization of Tangaloa, and promises All-Oceania to muster the wind it needs to escape this unsightly reign of tyranny.
P.O.U.N.D. Interns serve between 2-6 months as prospective junior leaders of the Patriots Oceanic Union for National Democracy.

DULWICH, SATURDAY, 28th MAY 2011
_____________________________________________

The Right Honourable The Secretary of State has received the Command of Her Engellexic Majesty The Queen to make known the following gracious Statement of Her Engellexic Majesty to the Sovereign, the Government and the People of the Kingdom of Anglyn.

Extension of The Queen's Statement in Council.

TO THE SOVEREIGN, THE GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE OF THE KINGDOM OF ANGLYN

I am instructed to express on behalf of Her Engellexic Majesty;

The Queen has had the fortune of an interview with the Commissioners of the Wightland Islands Territory and the Karoskland Territory, both confirming that the Lord Commissioners - who they represent in Dulwich - advocate the cause on the side of the Commonwealth of Cantigny. It has been implored that it should be expressed that the Anglysh Government must prepare to accept the inevitable movement of independence for the Anglysh colonial territories, if these colonial subjects should not be granted their just rights and political equality that are enjoyed by their neighbouring partners in the Implaric Oceanic Territory, which shall, of course, be fully observed by delegations of the Commonwealth of Cantigny, and those that have mustered the sensibility with them.

Failure to do so, will see the education of children in several generations to come, to completely backfire against the Anglysh Crown who has used propaganda and educational institutions in the territories to conjure a feeling of repulsion to Cannie and allied nationals. This hatred will become fully realised by the people, and it will be the Anglysh Crown that is hated with the determination to wait an opportunity to wage a war for independence against their Anglyh Overlords.

Her Majesty the Queen believes that doubts on these points will induce many a problem for the territories, and for the region, where fighting shall be encouraged to the last extremity. Dulwich is not fooled by the Anglysh actions to foster a hostile environment to the cause of Cantigny, it is despicable and shall not be tolerated.

However, it is implored that the Anglysh Government accepts the determination of the Implaric Oceanic Territory and agree to discussions on the future of these territories.

By the Grace of GOD, of the UNION of GREAT ENGELLEX, CHARLOTTE, the QUEEN, through the Right Honourable the SECRETARY of STATE, ANTHONY PELHAM-HOLLES

KING UNDER MEDICAL WATCH

MOJAVE, Akwesasne - After a long period of improving health while living in Mojave, King Roderick's health has declined after returning from his trip to Tangaloa. Though doctors say that his condition has been stablized, the trip to Tangaloa, which doctors have said was ill-advised, has reversed the gains made by the King's retirement to the arid region and may have be a critical setback.

If the Overseas Commands have resources for communication, unlike their mute counterparts in Winchester, then the Commonwealth publicly resounds a cheer for further militarization of Oceania. Communication through the cry of cannons and missiles has always been the choice medium for Anglyn; why then should any Patriotic Peoples of Oceania expect the Olive Branch in place of the Arrow tomorrow, when the stench of yesterdays death wreaks of false promises and blood? Cantigny invites the Combined Navies of the European Defence Federation to dock in Port Fidelity at Vesper, where our mantra of peace will persist as the sun surely rises each morning, to combat the Commonwealth's heinous and frightful threats.

The raising of the alert status is in response to the advance deployment of Engellex warships as well as to releave some of the apprehension the citizens of the Overseas Territories experiencing by the threats made by Cantigny to force change on them whether they like it or not.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Issued upon the directives of President Renaudière:

The continued antagonistic discourse is not in the interests of the region or its people. The level to which this matter has descended is embarrassing for the nations involved. We respect, wholeheartedly, the Cannie group POUND's belief that Oceania should be independent of colonial presence but we ask POUND, and Cantigny in general, to realize that our good friends in Anglyn do not rule their subjects in Oceania as colonial puppets but as overseas territories.

It is with sincere concern we send our best regards to His Majesty King Roderick, who has shown the world that he is a true monarch of his subjects. His determination and will serves as an example for all.

THREE SOLDIERS BRUTALLY ATTACKED, ONLY ONE SURVIVES
Nuku'alofa - At approximately 10:45 pm last night at the Princess Nuokali Park, three enlisted men of the Royal Tangaloan Rifles, were attacked and beaten, leaving two being pronounced dead at the scene and one being rushed to the Nuku'alofa Hospital with servere blunt force trauma to the body and head. Though doctors performed emgergency surgery which included releaving pressure on the brain, the enlisted man, who's name has not been released, is listed in critical condition.

Though the Royal Tangaloan Constables responded to an emergency call and arrived on the scene within minutes, they were too late to apprehend the perpetrators, but a witnesses said there were at at least six attackers, and using clubs and what looked like a cricket bat, beat all three soldiers before stripping them of their uniforms and running from the park, shouting "Forward Tangaloa!"....a slogan used by the Patriot & Friend for all Oceania.

Due to the possibility that the attack was made by a group associated with the Cantigny political movement and that the Princess Nuokali Park is well known as a place visited by personnel of the Royal Tangaloan Rifle Regiment walking between the regimental barracks to the nearby stores and resturants, the Royal Constabulary has notified commander of all military installations of that their uniformed personnel might be targets of similar attacks.

The Patriotic Union for National Democracy
does not inherently advocate the use of violence in the immediate advancement or forwarding of the Oceanic Nation of Tangaloa, and henceforth notifies all concerned parties that the use of violence is not indicative of our Democratic Movement.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those injured in this attack, and to all the countless yet never overlooked Tangaloans who may be punished in marshal reaction. P.O.U.N.D. respectfully reminds the "commanders of all military installations" that while they serve the Garrison King in Oath, their Blood & Honour belongs to a Nation of Tangaloa.

NUKU MAYOR BLAMES P.O.U.N.D. FOR DEATH OF TWO SOLDIERS
Nuku'alofa - At a news conference, the Hon. Danial Mulukai, the mayor of Nuku'alofa, when asked about the attack on three soldiers in the Princess Nuokali Park replied that that he "holds the Patriotic Oceanic Union for National Democracy responsible for the death of those two young men and the hospitalization of the third". The mayor went on to say, "It is the irresponsible leadership of that organization that is as much to blame for the deaths of those two soldiers and the near death of the third as it is the thugs that actually committed the heinous crime. Ilchester, with his call for revolution and announcing he will pay those who join him, is actively recruiting the radical and militant fringe as well as criminal elements of Tangaloan society to his banner. His aim is not to promote democracy, but to destroy the democracy that Tangaloans already enjoy."

SOLAREN ATTACKS LORRAINE USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS;
DECLARES WAR ON EDF

WINCHESTER - Reports have been confirmed, Solaren has attacked Southern Lorraine using chemical weapons, and while number of casualties have not been released, it can be reasoned that they could be substantial amoung combat units as these units are believed to be the primary targets of the attack. Anglysh ground units are limited to supply, medical and logistic and may not have been targeted.

This attack proceeded a rare television appearance by Urban IV, declaring war against the whole of the EDF with also mention of Carentania. Though failing to mention his use of chemical weapons in the attack on Lorraine, he spoke for several hours attempted to justify his actions, going as far as accusing the EDF of using sorcery and witchcraft.

Though there has been no official word out of Arlington Palace or Hampden Hall, Anglyn has major naval forces deployed to the region and and it is expected that Prince Regent and the Prime Minister will release a joint message soon.

On his return from Nicosia last evening, the Foreign Secretary, Sir Avery Whyte announced that an agreement has been reached in Nicosia with Khalistani foreign minister to hold a referendum in Bombaim, and allow the Bombaimese to decide remain part of Anglyn or unite with Khalistan.

The Constitutional State congratulates the concerned parties on reaching an agreement about a future referendum pertaining Bombaim. By giving their approval to the democratic process, positively minded voices for freedom in the region will feel relieved at the settlement of the dispute in a manner that puts those most concerned - the people of Bombaim - first.

The Constitutional State will also use this opportunity to once again state the opinion that a Pan-Oceanic conference on contemporary issues should be considered, to deepen the mutual understanding of regional actors and formulate common policies on points of interest.

The matter of Bombaim, on many occasion in the past, had been settled, each and every time by either deplomacy or as the Bombaimese had already done, used the democratic process to adopt the constitution they now live under. Each time there are external forces that are determined to disrupt the peace and cause dishormony for their own purposes and not for the good of the Bombaimese.

HM Government and that of the government in Bombaim have agreed to this referendum in the hopes to finally bring this matter to a close, to once and for all settle the status of Bombaim, not only where Anglyn and Khalistan are concern, but also the world.

It has also been the opinion that until Anglyn is recognized as an equal partner in Oceania, it would not be in the best interests of Anglyn and her Oceania citizens to participate in such a Pan-Oceania conferrence as the wishes and desire of our citizen Tangaloa and Bombaim would not be respected. With Butuan being the perfect example of where the sovereignty of nation being trampled on at will, in such an environment, it is likely Anglyn's voice will be outright ignored leaving our people in Tangaloa with no voice at all.

It is with regret that we notice that apparently did not results in a decision by Lundenwich that reflects the status it claims for itself within Touyou. It is not Touyou that is antagonizing Anglyn, but Anglyn that gives the impression that it has little interest in engaging the rest of Touyou on an equal footing. Where wishes are not uttered in an open discourse of progressive forces in the region, and are thus unknown, they cannot be respected. We encourage the Foreign Secretary to reconsider the opinion expressed by this ministry, namely that a round table of Franken, Anglyn, Khalistan, Greater Engellex and Touzen would be able to find common solutions to the issues that need to be addressed in Touyou today. The Constitutional State has constantly been a driving force for a regional agenda of peace, only to have been rebuffed again and again - Nokanawa has been and will continue to be mesmerized by the dream of cooperation in the Eastern Hemisphere, and it is our hope that other global actors will eventually follow us to share this vision of strength.

On behalf of HM government, I will agree to such a conference, and though there are those in certain foreign capitals that may say otherwise, the security and welfare of Anglyn's more than 10 million Oceania citizens are just as important to Winchester as its other 100 million plus citizens and will fight just as hard to protect them and their rights.

WAR ON SOLAREN DECLARED

WINCHESTER - His Royal Highness, The Prince Regent, Cedrick, Prince of Wessex, had, within an an hour of introducing it to the to Parliament, a declaration of war against the rogue state of Solaren. With this declaration, military operations against the regime of Urban IV have been order to commence as naval units of the Royal Navy have moved into range to strike target in Solaren as well as the seas around it.

Rumors have it that the written declaration was ready before Urban even completed his televised speech in which he himself declared war on the EDF. Though the Prince Regent has the powers of the sovereign, a declaration of war is the one thing that still requires King Roderick's signature before the Prince Regent could submit it to Parliament, and with the King in residence in Akwesasne, it took time to obtain that signature. Once signature wastained and presented to Parliamant in Winchester, debate was short and the resolution passed with only a single abstention.
