Christiansborg is somewhat baffled that the public broadcaster of the Carentanian state, Carentanian Public Broadcasting, finds it fit to put words into the mouth of myself as an offshoot of government policy. I really must protest this offence against the decent and accurate standards of journalism. However, I am called to question whether or not such decent standards exist within the reportage of the Carentanian state and whether this latest assault is a direct result of the CPB being a government lacky or whether it was due to some over-enthusiastic apparatchik, senior or junior, within CPB, or even if it was due to serious misreporting due to ideological bias. If it is the former, I am seriously in the mind of condemnation of Rijeka for polluting the standards of accurate journalistic reporting; if it was the latter, it would be welcoming to see that the official or officials involved are at least admonished for their errancy.

I for one, can vouch I did not speak the words claimed as my own and to suggest otherwise is a gross miscaricature and twisting of reality. I for one would never put my comments across in such terms. As such I demand an apology from Carentanian Public Broadcasting and even possibly from the Carentanian State.

It is understandable that the Danish Foreign Minister tries to limit the damage done to the credibility of the Danish state as a whole, after the essence of his neoabsolutist ideology was put out into the open so glaringly, but in the eyes of the CPB, the public has a right to this insight into the minds of the Danish regime.

Danish King declared "persona non grata" by Carentanian government in protest of invasion of Raigestan. The little island republic of Raigestan was assaulted recently by Danish troops seeking to, as the Danish government proclaimed, "establish a base against Miroslavl". This act of imperialism was deemed thoroughly condemnable by the Workers' Republic and the Danish head of state is not welcome within its territories as long as Danish soldiers remain on Raigestani soil. "Danmark has crosses a boundry here," Commissar for Foreign Affairs Bojan Sitar announced, "and if it continues along this path, Europe will take actions."

Carentanian aid shipment arrives in Jurchen. Freighters filled with food, clothing and fuel from Carentania and allies have docked at Jurchen harbors, where they will rest before attempting to reach the shores of Boliatur to aid the people of the northeastern European country. Jurchen forces are protecting the Carentanian freighters during the final part of their journey and the Workers' Republic expects no interference with its aid mission, despite the embargo enforced by reactionary countries upon the people of Boliatur. "It'd be thoroughly terrifying if, to enforce their genocidal campaign against Boliatur, Danmark and its henchmen would go as far as declaring war upon the Workers' Republic," the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs noted.

Mezhist terrorism claimed another life today, as an official of the Union of Communist Workers was shot during an union event in Sisak. The official was speaking on behalf of Carentanias largest labor union about several issues of inner security, when the assailant emerged from the audience and fired three shots upon the speaker. He then departed from the scene hastily as the surrounding audience was too deeply in shock to seize the armed terrorist. Later that day, a Mezhist terror group called "Warriors of Himyar" claimed responsibility. According to the Commissariate for Inner Security, the group has its base of operations outside of the Workers' Republic and the murderer is likely to have left Carentania through the southern border.​

A national public broadcaster that claims as truth words atrritubuted to me as if I myself spoke them when I can vouch and assure that I certainly did not, and the corporation's refusal to admit that, cause me to question the truth of the latest assassination attributed to the Mezhist Union and what CPC claims are MU operatives in Carentania. One, two, three, likely four and more assassinations will be blamed upon the Sarmartian state though there is no independent evidence to back this up. For all we know, they could quite as easily have been murdered by Carentanian state operatives. As such, CPC cannot be believed for its accuracy. It has a track record of skewing reality to suit its masters and ideological bias. I would offer to send independent forensic scientists and police detectives to clinically examine this matter but I doubt that they would be welcome and even if they were, they would be restricted in their operations which would not be right.

Until independent evidence is provided of these crimes Christiansborg remains circumspect and will withhold judgement. If it satisfies the government of Rijeka, we call upon all true moderate nations to send their scientists and detectives to Carentania to investigate and truly shed light on these grievous incidents.

Howsoever they died, we pay tribute to their lives, their families and friends in this most difficult of times.

The Danish ambassador has been summoned to explain the latest failures of its governments Foreign Minister and we demand an immediate apology for these grave insults upon the integrity, honor and humanity of the Carentanian legal system, state and security forces. Mr. Westervelds words, apparently motivitated out of personal spite towards independent Carentanian media, have insulted the entire Workers' Republic and will have grave repercussions for Dano-Carentanian relations if not immediately withdrawn.

Units of the Carentanian Coast Guards Corps have stopped a freighter from the Mezhist Union in the Eastern Bay, after it violated Carentanian territorial integrity. Immediately upon entering national waters of the Workers' Republic, units of the Coast Guard stopped the vessel and boarded it, arresting the sailors and seizing the ship. Questioned about their destination, the sailors insisted that they were headed for a port in the Jurzan and not towards the Carentanian coast. These insistences on being a civilian trade vessel, however, were put into question by the very freight of the ship itself.

According to a spokesperson of the Commissariate for Defense, which immediately called a press conference, the ship was filled to the brim with weapons of Mezhist origin. There is little doubt that these weapons, shipped to the Jurzan in a time when the Mezhist Union itself is engaged in warfare with its neighbour Miroslavl, are intended as support for Mezhist terror groups within the Workers' Republic. Such support can be considered an act of warfare against the Carentanian people, who have suffered countless deaths from Mezhist terrorism. "We do not intend to answer in kind to the Mezhist Union," the Commissariate was quick to express its commitment to European peace. "But we will defend against such Mezhist attacks and are currently formulating an adequate response to protect Carentanian citizens from further Mezhist terror."

What exactly that means, however, depends on several factors, most prominently the involvement of the Jurzan in this matter. "Recent Jurzani anti-communist rhetorics and their close alignment with the Dano-Sarmatian axis leave the possibility that the Jurzan itself is involved in this conspiracy against the very lifes of Carentanian citizens." If the Mezhist freighter was, in fact, not planning to unload its dangerous load on the Carentanian coast, but intended to meet Mezhists within the Jurzan, it can be considered a lucky coincidence that the Mezhist freighter entered Carentanian waters and thus gave the Coast Guard reason to board the vessel. Carentania, it has become apparent, must now act to prevent the Mezhists from turning the Jurzan into a staging ground for its genocidal campaign against the Carentanian people.

The Jurzani ambassador has immediately been summoned to the Commissar for Foreign Affairs in order to explain whether and if, to what extent, the Jurzan is aware of the Mezhist shipments. "It is becoming increasingly apparent," the Commissar stated to CPB, "that Dano-Sarmatia is preparing for warfare against the Workers' Republic. This is evidenced by the recent pan-European campaign of imperialism, the Danish rhetorics that have implied Mezhist terrorism were nothing more than a false-flag campaign by the Carentanian government against its own people, and, of course, the arms shipments coupled with a military build-up in the Jurzan. The question that remains, what is the role of the Jurzani government in this plot."

Carentanias military, meanwhile, has placed several units along the Jurzani border and the eastern coast on increased alert.​

This is an outrageous act of piracy, its sheer hypocrisy going beyond the normal levels found in communist propaganda, to such levels that even we in the Mezhist Union are shocked at its blatant application. The idea that any of our freighters, knowing full well the danger of Red Sharks such as the Carentanian Coast Guard, would enter Carentanian national waters is simply preposterous, and we find it far more likely that the Red Horde, in a vile effort to further cut the Islamic Republic of Jurzan off from the rest of the world to bring them back into their horrid sphere, began patrolling clearly international waters looking for any excuse to cause an incident and cast dark shadows upon Jurzan. What poor luck that we had to share in this Red treachery.

Despite the lack of necessity, current geopolitical situations demand that a full disclosure be given to the international world, so as to further disprove ridiculous Carentanian propaganda: the contents of the freighter were not for the Mezhist freedom fighters that wage a valiant struggle against the Red Horde, despite our moral support for their ultimate cause, the destruction of the government of the Worker's Republic and Carentania's return to civilization and order. The destination for the cargo was Jurzan, in a benevolent effort to assist the Islamic Republic in its attempts to achieve independence and security from all of the international world, not just Carentania.

Such a mission is perfectly legal and acceptable according to international law, but then, how could the Red Horde ever be able to accept international law? Respecting international law implies respecting the status quo, something that the Red Horde simply cannot accept, or else it's evil mission becomes pointless. The only law the communists can ever follow is kneeling to the red flag. This is a law the world cannot and will not follow, and we urge them to join us in condemning Carentanian piracy and demanding the release and return of our sailors, who as we speak no doubt suffer in dank, vile communist prisons, to be "re-educated" into following the Carentanian "law", in the loosest sense of the term.

As a sovereign, independent nation, the Islamic Republic of the Jurzan has every right to make whatever international agreements it so desires. The weapons onboard the illegally seized Mezhist vessel were destined for the port of Abasha to be integrated into the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic. These weapons are intended to increase the effectiveness of the Jurzani Defenses Forces in order to better secure ourselves as a sovereign, independent state.

The Government of our nation is more than aware of the Mezhist terrorism that is causing problems within Carentania. We can assure the Carentanians that we do not have any involvement with the terror cells as the Jurzani Government does not communicate or work with terrorist groups. There is no reason to even consider the weapon shipments to the Jurzan to be considered a threat to the Carentanian populace.

This agreement is no different than the one signed by Carentania, Danmark, and Great Engellex. All three of these nations agreed to arm the Jurzani Government in order to maintain its sovereignty and defense. The Carentanian Government was not alarmed at that time; they have no reason to be alarmed by this agreement. The Jurzani Government considers the security of these weapons with the utmost severity.

The Jurzani Government is also skeptical of the fact that a Mezhist ship would enter the territorial waters of Carentania. The Jurzani Government demands the immediate release of the Mezhist ship and the Mezhists onboard. The arrest is illegal and this is an act of piracy and the Jurzani Government will not look kindly upon this move.

The Carentanian Commissariate for Foreign Affairs has declared a "temporary arms embargo" against the nation of Jurzan, until possible connections of the current, strongly anti-communist, Ahmadzai administration to Mezhist terrorism can be investigated. Units of the Revolutionary Navy and the Carentanian Coast Guard have been ordered to search any vessel headed for Jurzani ports and to seize any shipment of weapons, while turning back the ships to their countries of origin. The trade of industrial and civilian goods will remain undisturbed, as long as they comply with the Carentanian demands. Carentanias Commissar for Foreign Affairs had the following to say: "We hope that reason prevails amongst the Jurzan and its partners in regards to this measure and that they understand the necessity for Carentania to act in such a way, when the possibility exists that these weapons are used to murder Carentanian citizens. The Workers' Republic will proceed at the fastest possible pace with its investigations and end the policing measure at the Eastern Bay once a Jurzani involvement can be safely ruled out."

A new book by famous Carentanian author Matija Marko Rosenberg finds great popularity amongst a population frightened by the tensions across Europe. In his dark dystopic novel, M. M. Rosenberg describes a world engulfed in global warfare, as Engellex, Danmark and Swiecziema allied to subjugate the remainders of Europe and destroy all traces of democracy. "The rationale of capitalism had become total," the book sets the stage in its introduction, describing a humanity reduced to mere machines of warfare. The experiences of the modern wars of the past few decades are connected by Rosenberg to a grand picture of terror, with entire countries set to fire by bombers and millions dying on each battlefield. Rosenberg begun writing his book after the Engellexic invasion of Montelimar, but nowadays we pray: let it not become a prophesy!​

The Fennian Union expresses its most firm and severe condemnation of red Carentania's violation of Jurzani national sovereignity and its unilateral engagement in acts of maritime banditry in violation to international convention. It is evident that the facade of so-called "Mezhist terrorism", acceptance of the actual existence of which would be dependent on accepting Carentanian propaganda, is merely used by Rijeka to foster international conflict and to exert pressure on the innocent nation of the Jurzan for internal political gain. It is also evident that Rijeka has no intention of completing this so-called "investigation" of theirs, or that if it will be completed the results will be motivated purely by the political needs of the red puppetmasters instead of any honest intention of regional security.

The Fennian Union must effectively consider these acts of Carentanian naval forces - in regards to the announced arms blockade against the sovereign state of the Jurzan - to be actions of piracy, for they hold no legitimacy according to international convention or the conventions of maritime territorial jurisdiction. The Fennian government will consult with its partner governments over measures required to restore the maritime security which has been endangered by the irresponsible red junta in Rijeka.

Finding the current state of affairs to be quite unsettling, the People's Republic would call for moderation and negotiation in this matter as it pertains to the various concerns listed by the Islamic Republic, the Worker's Republic, and assorted other related or unrelated entities. We remain of the firm belief that an easier and more agreeable solution to any perceived problems might be found at the round table, as these continued exchanges of vitriol and condemnations will do little to address the true issue at hand. Unilateral action by either side will only provoke further troubles, as has been made clear by all the events leading up to this point.

External mediation is perhaps required at this point, as we've no doubt that all associated parties would prefer that this issue is addressed both quickly and through peaceful means. The east is alight with turmoil, and it is not in the best interest of any regional power for that conflagration to spread to the Long Sea -- where war has a tendency to upset tranquility and prosperity both in equal measure.

On the note of the People's Republic "participation" in this embargo: the Milita Marina (naval forces) cannot legally enforce the laws of the People's Republic outside our own territorial waters. Caietan exports to Jurzan might cease for the time being, but the People's Republic will not participate in what it considers to essentially be an undeclared and questionable blockade.

The Carentanian declaration of continuing its campaign of piracy, even in the wake of widespread international condemnation, provides further proof of how shaky the ground is under their feet, but also how committed they are to war with civilized Europe and its vanguards, the Mezhist Union. Let it be known that, until we are certain the danger has passed, we shall be temporarily arranging our maritime trade with Jurzan and other Long Sea nations into convoys under heavy escort. While this will cause a notable pause in our commerce with the affected nations until the transition is complete and we sincerely apologize for the temporary economic inconvenience, we are also certain these nations will understand this disruption and cooperate with the merchant fleets of the Mezhist Union.

And let this be known by Carentania: any attempt to interfere with the escorted convoys will be seen as an illegal act of war, and will result in an immediate and decisive response from the Union.

DULWICH, FRIDAY, 12th OCTOBER 1952​

TO THE GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CARENTANIA
I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty;​

The Empire of Great Engellex has indeed received the declarations made by the State of Carentania, of its concerns with the independence of Jurzan from Carentanian influence, and its decision and intention to implement an embargo and naval blockade. The Council of State at Dulwich was unanimous in a decided position of advising the State of Carentania against attempting to impose a naval blockade; a warning cannot be expressed without use of the strongest terms against such an endeavour. A diplomatic exchange between Carentania and Jurzan would certainly seem to be the greatest and most urgent necessity in approaching the concerns, you have determined, before any consideration is entertained on such drastic escalations as blockading ports, I had hoped this reasonable and rational approach to have been given absolute priority by a state that remains critical of the efforts made by the European community to address the Boliaturan Crisis – efforts which were not inclusive of a naval blockade; but if diplomatic engagement cannot be commanded at this present time, or if for any other reason Carentania is decided in rejecting diplomacy, still I trust that the Revolutionary Navy will not be enabled to attempt an imposing of a blockade while there remains peaceful avenues to be fully explored.

Her Majesty’s Royal Engellexic Navy maintains a presence within the Port of Abasha to act as a deterrence against attempts to mine or cause illegal destruction upon Jurzani port facilities and shipping routes, you will certainly agree, that the Engellexic naval presence in Jurzan is insufficiently sized to challenge any attempt to impose a naval blockade by Carentania, but I make it perfectly clear that the Council of State has deemed it necessary to fully mobilise the Royal Engellexic Navy and the Royal Engellexic Air Force for a deployment to restore the freedom of the Long Sea shipping lanes and, of course, the independence of the Jurzani ports, should the State of Carentania refuse to reconsider its belligerency and not accept diplomatic approaches to this crisis of regional confidence.

The warning of her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet is by no means a contemplation for an attack, or other equally destructive action of war, against Carentania. The Empire of Great Engellex has a sincere respect for European diplomacy and law, as demonstrated with our efforts to reasonably address our concerns with Boliatur and Sylvania.

The considerations of escalation to a state of conflict must not be overlooked by Carentania, however. I make this appeal to the Government of Carentania, lest in the eager desire to achieve a great exploit, you should yield to some rash impulse, and fail in the discharge of one of the highest of duties of government which is the moral courage to do what you know to be right, at the risk of being accused at home of having done wrong. It was my personal determination to present this view to your deliberate attention; the State of Carentania will reflect on it, and I am certain that the judgement to impose a blockade will be deemed excessive and quietly withdrawn in favour of peaceful endeavours.

I find the statement of Carentania to be a dirty rag that is sodden and dripping in irony and hypocrisy as it, a nation that took ready aim at the Kingdom for its operations against the pseudo-neutral state of Raigestan, now, itself, seeks to carry out a policy it accused my country of conducting. I would have thought that a state that crows from the tops of the trees about the rights other states to remain unviolated would have kept its hands clean, but this is patently not the case as it seeks to muscle on its neighbour, The Jurzan. We did warn this would happen and have made this very point clear, so let this be a foretaste of what you could expect as a nation in situ on the northern coasts of the Himyar. Be a marionette directed from Rijeka and you shall stand in good stead. Thwart it or show any sign of independence, and expect the strings to be cut so you crumple to the ground.

For too long has the The Jurzan had to suffer the constant thuggish bullying, barking, wailing, shrieking and self-pitying snivving directed at it from Carentania that is the worst semblance of world state socialism ever to exist. Yet it is the right of The Jurzan - not Carentania - for it to determine its own national defence. But this is something that does not occur to Rijeka which with its inbuilt paranoid and deluded sense of self-righteous entitlement, takes this mantle upon itself. No amount of seeking to deflect blame elsewhere obliterates this very real and potent fact. With such an erratic, tinpot and attention-seeking regime right on its doorstep, I cannot blame Sharjah from taking steps, even if these ones were actually small-scale. I know if I was in their position, I certainly would.

We call upon Rijeka to exercise restraint immediately. We also call on the more wise socialist nations to take the reins of leadership of world socialism as it is clear that Rijeka fails at this task in a wonderfully catastrophic fashion and has repeatedly done so. As such, we welcome the more restrained stance of Caieta which is clearly a more stable regime.

Whilst we welcome the caveat that peaceful maritime trade will be unaffected by this directive from Rijeka, we cannot trust entirely that this will not be abused. If the state can abuse the seas and abuse its neighbours by holding a huge truncheon over their heads, we cannot take that risk. We warn that any attempt to attack or board any of our ships shall not be entertained with a turning of the eye. As a precaution, it is necessary for us to increase our naval presence in order to ensure the safe shipping of the kingdom. They have the rights to land in the sovereign state of The Jurzan and will not be deflected from doing so. As long as all peaceful or other trade remains within the territorial waters of The Jurzan, Carentania has no jurisdiction and this fact shall be actively borne in mind.

On a separate note, to a degree, but one accelerated by these recent events, in reaction to the great slander that Carentania has directed at the head of state of my kingdom, HM King Frederik III, an act that we would not have even gone to the extreme length of initiating as despite the obvious disputes between our nations, we do at least maintain a level of respect that does not seem to be possessed by the Rijekan junta, we have been left with no choice. We shall initiate a total travel ban on all government and military personnel from the top down. Carentanian civilians shall be welcome to visit the kingdom, if they so wish, but they shall undergo a rigorous and inexhaustive Customs quarantine and vetting before entry that must last a period of four months minimum in order to adequately assess whether individuals coming under the precepts of the ban seek to circumnavigate these controls. The Danish embassy shall remain open as the last diplomatic link between our two governments.

The Commissariate for Economic Planning, the Commissariate for Defense and the Board of Worker Organizations met today in a session to outline the goals of Carentanian economy in case of "total global warfare". "Tensions in Europe are rapidly approaching a boiling point, as Danmarks violation of Raigestani neutrality is ignored and the world instead rushes to the defense of Mezhist terrorists," the chairman of the newly founded committee announced. "Should the Dano-Sarmatian axis decide to initiate warfare against the Workers' Republic or its allies, we must be prepared for this global war against the working class." According to a first paper, Carentanias economy would be geared towards maximising combat strength in case of such a pan-European catastrophy, enabling the military to grow at least threefolds within the first half year of warfare. "Such preparedness, of course, is also a strong deterrent and we hope to convey a clear message to European Imperialism: it won't be Socialism which falls in such a war!" the Commissar for Defense, Matija Dracar, commented.

First joint-socialist aid shipments arrive in Boliatur, as the Jurchen Republic secures ever greater areas in the eastern half of the country from the oppressive rule of the self-proclaimed Khan. Welcomed frenetically and awaited eagerly by the local population, reports from the front tell of widespread euphoria at the sight of Jurchen soldiers, followed by a deep exhaustion and utter relief. "Free at last," this cry has become symbolic within mere days of the Jurchen campaign, but it will be the socialist support for the people of Boliatur, which liberates the people of Boliatur from the real threats Imperialism has forced on them: starvation and cold.

Widespread riots in downtown Cazma after a game between Red Flag Cazma and Union Cazma FC ties 1:1. Large groups of fans from both teams simultaneously stormed the field and engaged in fistfights with each other as well as the players. A local militia intervened quickly to restore order, but managed only to drive the battles out of the stadion onto the open streets. Throughout the day, clashes between hostile groups of football fans as well as with militiamen broke out repeatedly in the downtown. It was only towards noon, that the fighting subdued. "We estimate the involvement of around 500 men," a spokesperson of the People's Militia Corps said.​

It serves as further proof of Carentanian hypocrisy that even as the red government makes claims of only attempting to implore Jurzani cooperation with its so-called threat of domestic terrorism, preparations are made to wage a war of aggression. The Union calls for the Carentanian government to restrain the wild schoolyard rhetoric employed by its Commissar of Defense, in notice that such thinly veiled threats can only escalate the situation and make achievement of a peaceful solution even more difficult than it is now.

An Extension of The Queen-Empress' Statement in Council.
DULWICH, SATURDAY, 13th OCTOBER 1952​

TO THE GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CARENTANIA
I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty;​

The question being so important, I need the Government of the State of Carentania to provide the Empire of Great Engellex and indeed Europe a frank explanation of the policy it is pursuing, with regard to Jurzan and the international waters of the Long Sea, most especially on the consideration for a naval blockade. It would be completely unacceptable if, as it has been in the past with other actions by nations, to suddenly have such operations and engagements suddenly proclaimed as taking place by national journalist publications without any European dialogue and consultation. I also urge the Government of Carentania not to be encouraged by its own ignorance of European concern, and I implore the government not to ponder the lack of a punctual address to Europe as this is a very grave situation that we now exist within.

I do not, as First Lord of Aldwych d’Evercy House, pay great attention to any national publications concerning events of political seriousness, I rather prefer to form judgements on state intelligence gathering and diplomatic exchanges with other governments. I want to know the truth of the naval matter above all that is claimed within European publications, and, therefore, I address myself to the Government of Carentania for a second time.

It cannot be said that Great Engellex is over-anxious or over-curious on the matter. The present state of Europe is alarming, and would justify far more discussion that has yet been seen from the government in Rijeka. Without prompt dialogue and assurances of diplomatic and peaceful desires, it is calculated to cause her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet, and indeed those of Europe, a great anxiety and distress of mind. Himyar is in a ferment, there is no cohesion on that continent. From her Majesty’s diplomatic and consular agents in the Far East I have received letters which assure me that there is a general feeling of mistrust and apprehension, toward the Occident. In Preuti-Borussia and Saamiskavia there are numerous attempts made to unify national efforts as to form a much stronger argument diplomatically, against what is emerging as a common adversary. In Carentania, from the Commissar for Defense, Dulwich has received intelligence dispatches that men and women are ready to rally round the ideological standard in defence of self-declared rights and interests with respect to Jurzan and the Long Sea.

Solely, those are in consequence, I believe, of the unsettled state of affairs of the Jurzani-Carentanian Affair.

I do earnestly trust, then, that the Government of Carentania will take this opportunity to secure the peace of Himyar and Preuti-Borussia; for, if promptness is dismissed for dithering, or moral duty for ideological stubbornness, as a consequence we will see the peace and stability of Europe undergo a great diminution.

We strongly condemn the blockade of the Jurzan by the Carentanian Navy. This is a clear violation of international law and the freedom of the seas. Carentania likes to present itself as the policeman that ensures the safety of the Long Sea, but now the Carentanian Navy itself becomes a risk at the Long Sea. More and more Carentania is forcing us to choose sides. That is a development we don't like at all. At this moment the behaviour of Carentania itself is the most important risk factor for global war.

Amidst growing international tensions, fears of global war and price agreements between oil exporting nations, Carentania seeks to secure the stability of its oil supply. The Commissars Assembly in a joint statement announced its intention to establish a "strategic reserve" of petrol products, especially fuel. "We will tentatively begun increasing our oil imports from Media," the Commissar for Economic Planning announced. "The speed of this increase will be determined by our own ability to build secure storing facilities and Medias ability to increase its crude oil output. We will naturally coordinate with our allies in eastern Himyar on this matter." Media and the Workers' Republic have recently signed an agreement regulating oil prices, allowing Carentania to buy crude oil at a discount.

Unrest in Yujin has sparked solidarity demonstrations in Carentania. Both in Rijeka and Cazma, about five hundred people - mostly Union activists and Yujiner expatriates - took to the streets in support of unionized workers in the far eastern country. Yujin is experiencing a violent and repressive crackdown on organized labor activity, with attempts to outlaw its largest labor union. Violence and even murder by government troops has become common, but Yujins working class is fighting back. Mass demonstrations are taking place in every major city. "We hope that we inspire workers throughout Europe to not perceive this as a struggle of just the working class of Yujin, but as a struggle of us proletarians throughout Europe," organizers of the protest commented.

The Revolutionary Armed Forces intend to sell its remaining "CM-40" armored cars to Jurchen on a lend-lease base, meaning that Carentania will grant the Touzen-aligned state in eastern Toyou a loan to pay the cars with. All the "CM-40" cars still in operation with Army and Militia Corps are to be phased out regardless of the deal. "We consider this an elegant solution", a spokesperson of the Commissariate for Defense commented. Both the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs and the Commissariate for Economic Planning have already signaled their support for the deal. While sold to Jurchen, rumours are that the military vehicles are actually intended for Boliatur. Neither Commissariate wanted to comment on these speculations.​
