These are the news:
The crisis between the Jurzan and Carentania is finally over, with Carentania announcing to have reached a "conclusive agreement" with Jurzan. Investigations revealed no fundamental ties between the Jurzani state and Mezhist terrorists, albeit "corruption on a local level can not be ruled out", the Workers' Republic was quick to emphasize that this is an analysis that could hold true for "any European government". Carentanian forces in the south have returned to a normal level of readiness, as the Jurzan has managed to assure Carentania it does not seek to support any kind of reactionary aggression against the Workers' Republic. "We have reached an agreement with the Jurzan that includes mutual assurances of non-aggression and the Jurzani promise, not to allow further deployments by third powers on its territories," Commissar Sitar commented. Currently, Danmark maintains a small fleetbase at the Jurzani coast.
Security analysts predict "violent winter months" in Solaren, as the conclusion of the work of the interim government approaches and elections have been promised to be held before the end of the year. "We expect numerous militant groups affiliated with various political leanings to leash out in violence," the analysts working for the Revolutionary Army said. Additionally, the cold season is expected to bring increased social tension and unrest, especially within the cities. "As much as the European community has done to ease the plight of the Solaren people, the destruction of the war, the unsolved social question and the long shadow of Pope Urban are a dangerous combination." The Commissariate for Defense refused to comment at this point whether this means an increased deployment of forces to the Carentanian occupation zone, but noted that Carentania will maintain an adequate presence to respond to any security threats, however ultimately seeks to establish Solaren independence in all matters of politics.
The Union of Communist Workers, Carentanias largest labor union and most influental political group, has adopted a resolution calling corporal punishment in schools a "barbaric, reactionary and bourgeoise practice", whose ban is "long overdue". During a press conference following the general summit in preparation of the All-Workers Congress in December, a spokesperson commented that "our schools should seek to raise our kids as independent, free and happy members who can strive and achieve the vision of Communism. A free association of free individuals, as Marx has envisioned it, is logically impossible with children who have learned to fear their teachers." Past initiatives in the All-Workers Congress had failed repeatedly in the 1920s. However, with the proposal being launched by the UCW, many experts predict it to gather the necessary amount of votes this time.
