Good Evening, you’re watching the Public Broadcasting Center’s evening news, today is June 13, 2010

Today, Executor Abkhaz returned to Akhaltsikhe after he had been in Wiese for peace negotiations with Životinje.

The Executor reported “ungentlemanly remarks, childish bickering, an inability on Životinje’s part to compromise lead to the fall of the peace negotiations and the continuation of the war. As soon as I boarded the plane back to Akhaltsikhe, I did order the convoys to go out, heading for Barazi and I ordered all troops currently in Barazi to begin cooperating with the Barazians for the repel of Životinje.”

When asked what he meant by ungentlemanly remarks, childish bickering, and an inability to compromise, he responded “Životinje, for a good while, proceeded to mock both Barazi and Akhaltsikhe, had a continuous xenophobic and elitist attitude, and demanded that things be done, taking no account of the situation in Barazi. Then, as an ‘alternative’ he offered to carve a new nation out of Barazi that met all the demands Životinje had. Quite simply put, Minister Hollád doesn’t know how to negotiate, he was also under the impression we were surrendering. I won’t agree to peace negotiations again if he is going to be there.”

Soon after the comments, the Executor was informed of Fulanistan approving the commonwealth act and the situation in Jizhou. The Executor proclaimed that “this may be one of the most pressing period in a long time in terms of foreign affairs.”

However, some good news did come to the Executor’s ears when he heard that the Council was working on the reforms he has requested. However, the good news soon ended and the Executor was informed of the situation in Senaki, to where the Executor responded with “well then, I believe the situation there [Senaki] deserves all of our attention.”

Reports show that the Executor is on his way to Senaki to speak before the people, giving his first address to the people since his inauguration.

Slander from the only man who raised his voice in this Peace Symposium is not just humorous, but self-fulfilling prophecy that Akhaltsikhe has always been committed to offensive wars of aggression.

A sincere prayer of safety to your far flung troops on their return journey and overall happiness, as they will soon opt to retreat back across the sea from their unelected leaders severe lapse in character, decision making, and regard for their well being.

We once more would oike to say Barazi appreciates the efforts made by the Executor to attempt a fair pact for both sides. It's clear that matters such as these can't be delt with from Kraliyet, meaning upon the miracle of another summit, I will have to attend myself. In the mean time, our military officials have caught up and propped the troops from Akhaltsikhe and briefed them on their duty in this generous pact.

Good Evening, you’re watching the Public Broadcasting Center’s evening news, today is June 15, 2010

Today, Executor Abkhaz officially made a statement to the Rebher of Barazi on the topic of Barazi’s nuclear program. The Executor delivered one of the most controversial and demanding statements that any Executor has ever made, and here is the text:

”As we all know, Barazi has been invaded by the armies of Životinje in an attempt to bring about the end of the Regime currently in power and bring what they call ‘freedom’ to the nation. This conflict has grown to involve four nations, including our own. Our soldiers have gone to Barazi to help fend off the imperialistic nations looking to spread their way of life onto other nations. Our boys will fight and die for the freedom of Barazi.

At first, I had unwavering support for the Rebher and how he was running Barazi. At the failure of the Peace Negotiations, it became clear to me that this war would go down in history as a long and brutal war. That isn’t something we’re into going for, it isn’t something we’re willing to do. This is why I’m delivering this statement. This statement is to the Rebher of Barazi.

Cease and dismantle the nuclear program that Barazi is currently operating. If this nuclear program is truly for energy and energy alone, then Barazi should have no problem allowing international inspectors to the facilities to confirm the words of the Rebher. If our request is not met, then we will have no choice but diminish the amount of troops we have in Barazi.”

The statement received many different comments from the people. Some called it a success; others called it a way to alienate Akhaltsikhe from an ally. Many people anxiously await the reply of Barazi.

First off, to all of you,

Barazi doesn't have, never had, and never will have anything to do with nuclear weapons. Where this wild concept of us building weapons of mass destruction came from is a complete and utter mystery to me and the entire Milliyetci Party. You could bolt us down to a lie-detector and you would all get the same result. We have no nuclear weapons program and we have no sort of establishment in the country to make them. Nuclear power plants, yes. Large tool of chaos and destruction, no. I cannot be any clearer than that.

Executor Abkhaz, you certainly have an upfrontness about you that I admire. It's something my friend Executor Saakashvili lacked in most cases. As an ally, I respect your message and I don't see it with a negative point of view towards Barazi. We understand your concerns and even your frusterations. Believe me, I'm right next to the invaders. Bring in a search party of anybody you would like to see what we don't have nuclear weapons-wise in Barazi. I will enjoy making all those who believe Barazi is capable of such destruction quiet-down, respectively.

Good Evening, you’re watching the Public Broadcasting Center’s evening news, today is June 16, 2010

Three hours ago, Tetri Tsqaro got word of Samartian intervention into the War in Barazi. The War in Barazi has gone south ever since the fall of the peace negotiations and the amount of troops pouring into Barazi from Životinje. Akhaltsikhe has already committed a large amount of troops and even billions of Akhaltsikhi Marks to the war effort, but that is all about to change.

After the news of Greater Samartia’s intervention and a reevaluation of the Rebher of Barazi, Executor Abkhaz gave the order that all military personnel from Akhaltsikhe are to immediately leave Barazi. The Executor said that Barazi had become a lost cause and too expensive for Akhaltsikhe to continue to undertake. The Executor also said that “Akhaltsikhe has many problems that need our attention at home. To rectify these problems, we’ll need a significant amount of money; we’re not exactly full of money to spread, so we are leaving Barazi for the betterment of our own people.”

The Executor officially apologized for getting Akhaltsikhe involved in Barazi and claimed it was the worst blunder in foreign policy since the formation of the Meritocracy; he also took full responsibility for it. The Council reacted angrily to the Executor, with five Councilors saying Abkhaz was unfit to be Executor. However, the other Councilors said that no one could of foreseen the failure of the war and that the Executor was doing what was best for Akhaltsikhe by going in and now pulling out.

Foreign Minister Levan Karlovich Uchaneishvili and Media Minister Vakhtang Kikabidze have come out saying that they will resign in protest of the Abkhaz Administration. The five councilors applauded their decisions. Abkhaz responded saying “I will choose better men to fit the roles, I also urge the League of Ten to select the vacant council seats.”

Akhaltsikhe troops began pulling out as soon as the Executor commanded them to do so. The Executor then commented saying “I request that our withdrawal is not interrupted by Barazi, Životinje, or their allies.”

Around 7,000 troops are currently in Barazi and they are scheduled to all be removed by Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Abkhaz said that the troops will be able to return to their families and throughout the whole of the war, 210 lives were lost.

The Executor continued to say that the drama of the war cannot persist and that the Council must continue work on the reforms that Abkhaz has presented as they are vital to economic recovery and the general welfare of the people. Again, however, the five councilors already stated “We will block all attempts by Abkhaz to pass these reforms, as they, like the war, will ruin Akhaltsikhe.”

Good Evening, you’re watching the Public Broadcasting Center’s evening news, today is June 18, 2010

Today, Kostantine Abkhaz reversed a policy this nation has had for nearly 100 years. The Executor issued his first Executive Order, named, EOABK001. The Order reversed 100 years of tradition on religion in the nation, it once again made churches legal, and stated that “Islamic and Christian Leaders will no longer be persecuted by any law.”

The Order allows for Churches to again be allowed in the streets, however, there can be no public demonstrations of Religion, as they may be viewed as offensive to some people. Regardless, allowing Churches hasn’t been done since the days of Kalatozov.

It was well known that illegal churches were spread across the nation. Abkhaz said that it wasn’t beneficial to spend money to hunt down these churches that were only practicing religion. Abkhaz said that the Government must remain secular, in order for proper governance, but it’s “no longer a crime to be religious.”

Also, over 55 Christian and Islamic Leaders currently reside in prison, not anymore. Executor Abkhaz ordered their immediate release. The Leaders sent their thanks to the Executor and immediately went to their home cities to open churches.

More detail on the churches is that on the outside of the church, no more than one religious symbol may be hung; this is to stop offensive images from coming into some people’s eyes. That doesn’t seem to make too many people angry, for most people are just happy to be able to have a church.

We are happy to see that the freedom of religion has been restored. The end of the policy against religious affiliation was against human rights. The Executor has been wise to make this move.

After the passing of EOABK001, the League of Ten released a statement saying “this can no longer go on.” Constitutionally, the Executor possesses the right to put out an executive order, but it hasn’t been done since 1955, it came as a shock to everyone. So, the League of Ten took action.

First off, they appointed Sulkhan Tsintsadze, Director of the Elite Guard, to the position of Senior Councilor. Tsintsadze is a well qualified man who has led the Elite Guard for nearly twelve years. He said he is honored to be serving on the Council.

More importantly, the League announced that the five Councilors, Zurab Avalishvili, Revaz Dogonadze, Vladimer Papava, Akaki Shanidze, and Pyotr Bagration, have served long enough on the Council, nearly twenty years. The League said that they were unable to connect with the people of Akhaltsikhe and didn’t fully understand their plight, therefore, are no longer fit for leadership. The League also said that their refusal to cooperate with the Executor has obstructed the governing process.

The vacant seat that Abkhaz added to the Council has also been filled by Nikoloz Janashia, a former businessman and millionaire. Tsintsadze’s seat, now vacant, has been filled by a most unlikely person. For the first time in history, a woman will serve on the Council.

Executor Abkhaz requested that this woman, Medea Chakhava, was a businesswoman who actually served on a board of directors. Chakhava’s father actually was Minister of Labor at one point. Women across the nation went ecstatic when Abkhaz put in her name for the seat. Chakhava stated, when given the offer, “I am most honored to serve on my country’s Council, and especially under our Executor.”

Chakhava will be sworn in tomorrow at noon.

The Sultanate views Akhaltsikhe's move as positive, but this can only be a first step. The country must dismantle its oppressive and racist system of segregation and institutional discrimination against the noble Arab people, if it is to be accepted as a normal member of the family of nations. There is still a long road to travel, as can be seen in the new composition of the Tetri Tsqaro regime: not a single member represents the Arab majority of the country.

Women Against Bras

We congratulate the government of Alkhaltsikhe on taking this one step in the right direction. We whole heartedly support the nomination of Councillor Chakwa. In fact, we deem that the government of Alkhaltsikhe should not lose momentum and replace all of its male members of the executive with women.

The Women Against Bras is a leftist, radical feminist movement in Wendmark. Its views do not (one can say never) represent the views of the government of the Free State of Wendmark. The name stems from the perceived oppression of women by forcing them to wear bras, whereas men can go around with naked torsos. The WAB advocates more equality in this field, among others. This particular position is supported by a great portion of Wendmarker men on condition that topless women be hot.

Good Evening, you’re watching the Public Broadcasting Center’s evening news, today is June 22, 2010

Today, Executor Abkhaz went to the city of Khoni, the city where the current constitution was signed, and addressed the nation on what will be done for the Meritocracy’s 100 year anniversary as well as future policy. Abkhaz’s words shocked the nation, here they are:

“One hundred years ago, Mikhail Kalatozov led the Meritocrats to overthrow the Monarchy and install a Government that was fair, intellectual, and strong. These noble ideals have been followed for one hundred years, but now we’re off track, we’ve distanced ourselves from the politics of Executor Kalatozov. Kalatozov wanted secularism in Government, not country. Kalatozov ran this country very differently from how it is today. They call the Government conservative; I can tell you that this isn’t conservatism. I will turn this nation back to Conservatism, I promise all of you this.”

Abkhaz’s next move shocked the people of Khoni. Sinan Al-Shibibi, an Arab professor at the National Academy, came onto the stage. Al-Shibibi talked about his experiences as a political scientist at the academy and his experiences throughout his life. At the end of his short speech, he said this.

“Because of my experiences in our world and my knowledge of how politics works, I have accepted the League of Ten’s request for me to join the National Council.”

The crowd went absolutely insane. Al-Shibibi would be the first ethnic Arab in history to serve on the Council. Back in 1915, Kalatozov moved to appoint an Arab, but he died before he could ever take office. The move could show Abkhaz’s interest in liberalizing the country and the return to Kalatozov’s policies.

Al-Shibibi was perhaps the best choice for an Arab Councilor, he was a well known man across the nation and when news spread, Arabs everywhere went crazy with cheers. Al-Shibibi will be sworn in as soon as he returns to Tetri Tsqaro.

The League of Ten has also appointed Evgeni Mikeladze, a famous historian and political activist and Jansung Kakhidze, a famous artist to the Council. There are now only two vacant seats on the Council and the League of Ten said they will have chosen the two by July 1. Evgeni Mikeladze and Jansung Kakhidze will be sworn in on once they arrive at Tetri Tsqaro.

For the 100 year celebration, the Council Building is opening to the public and a massive banquet as well as a huge display of fireworks and the naval ships will come down the Kalatozov river and sail back up to the Ocean, so the entire country could see a Naval parade. The celebration will take place on June 30, 2010.

Good Evening, you’re watching the Public Broadcasting Center’s evening news, today is June 22, 2010

Today, the historic Citizens’ Relief Act has passed the Council and officially became law with Executor Abkhaz’s signature. The Citizens’ Relief Act is actually a collection of four different acts that are designed to aid the citizens of the nation.

The first part of the Act deals with the staggering unemployment, which currently stands at 21.5%. The Act provides for a massive increase in the amount of money a citizen can collect on Unemployment. It also increases the amount of time one can collect on unemployment from six months to two years. However, the actually collect on unemployment, you must prove that you are actively pursuing a job. Also, now that the National Bank has formed, the Government is much more leant on Student Loans, it has already given out student loans to thousands of students attempting to go to college. Executor Abkhaz said “student loans aren’t welfare; they’re an investment into the future.”

The “Impoverished Children Program” has officially gone into law. Nearly 12,000 children were given a check for ᵯ6166.70 ($200). The Program was met with great success as the Government has located a good deal of the children and many children responded saying “it’s the first time in a long time I don’t need to worry about food so much.”

The “Hospital Reconstruction Act” has also gone into law. At this moment, ᵯ100 Billion ($3.2 Billion) has been wired to hospitals across the nation in order for them to buy, maintain, and upgrade their equipment to more modern standards. The Act also provides for the construction of new Government run hospitals for the impoverished which will provide quality medical care to people who are unable to afford it. People have been flooding into these hospitals receiving funds because some hospitals announced they would be treating children free of charge.

The third part of the act, which was just added recently, provides for the construction of multiple tenements across the nation’s cities in order to provide a house, which as Abkhaz puts it, “aren’t huts of scrap metal.” The tenements will be built with all due speed and cost a very low amount of money. The tenements won’t have all the modern luxuries, but they will be much higher quality and safer than the current ghettos spread across the nation’s cities.

The fourth and final part of the act is a minimum wage law. Minimum wages have been talked about but never really considered. The minimum wage gives a good wage to many different people, to help pull them from their poverty. The minimum wage is ᵯ331.46 ($10.75) per hour.

The Citizens’ Relief Act, in total, cost a staggering ᵯ774,804,379,995.81 ($25 Billion). It is, by far, the most expensive bill in the nation’s history. Executor Abkhaz said that no amount of money can be too great if the bill provides for better living among the people of the nation. Abkhaz proclaimed that this bill was the first bill that actually put forth a huge effect to relieve the citizens of the nation from the financial complications they face.

While the gesture of goodwill from the Council and Executor Abkhaz is acknowledged with admiration, it cannot be helped but to question the sustainability and effectiveness of these Acts.

It is understood that prior to the fourth act Akhaltsikhe maintained no minimum wage within the law and now has introduced a $10.75 an hour national wage. If this information is indeed correct and not state propaganda we can only question the ability of the Council and Executor to effectively manage the economy of Akhaltsikhe. The move to introduce a minimum wage, and one that is quite substantial, would have us believe this was conceived to provide short term support for the population, and approval ratings, as otherwise this move will only be seen as an obstacle for business to provide long term employment to the working classes of Akhaltsikhe.

With unemployment recognised at 21.5% it is reckless and irresponsible to introduce a minimum wage as it will surely lead to significant rise in unemployed. The states ability to sustain such high level of unemployed is also questionable, and I urge the Council and Executor to reverse the fourth Act. There has been increased momentum for the introduction of a national wage within the Free Cities Union, the situation in Akhaltsikhe will be closely monitored to provide sound evidence of the idiocy of such a move.

I and Her Majesty’s Cabinet are also curious to receive further information regarding the Impoverished Children Program. Is the expense of $200 an annual expense, or a one off payment?

While we appreciate the admiration, we feel we need to clarify on your incorrect thinking. We have recently slashed Corporate Taxes by about 50%, freeing up more money for them than ever before. This introduction of minimum wages, which is designed to end poverty rather than defeat the unemployment rate, is not going to harm businesses as much as it would if the corporate taxes stayed at the same extremely high rate.

The Impoverished Children Program is an annual payment of $200 every two weeks.

Yes, the cost of these acts is high, but we spare no expense for the well being of our people.

Signed,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Today, the Council passed the Wholesome Values Act. The Act is designed to bring social conservatism back to the nation so that morality can return. One of the things the act does is modifies the religious decree of Executor Abkhaz, which was made a few days earlier.

The act makes it so that Muslim Churches can only be opened in the Arab Provinces of the South, if they are opened in the North, it can be viewed as offensive to the Georgian Population. The Act also states that Christian Churches may not be built in the Four Provinces, as it may be viewed as offensive there.

The law also states that only straight, single-raced couples may show public displays of affection. Anything else is immoral. The Act also closes down any gay bars in the nation because they are also offensive to a good deal of the population.

The Act also limits Abortion. The Government has officially acknowledged abortion has murder and has thus outlawed it. However, there are exceptions in the case of rape and if the mother’s life is threatened. If anyone gets an abortion and has not been raped or has their life been threatened, they will be classified as a murderer and detained.

The act also puts restrictions on Sexual Education, focusing it more on how sex should only be used for reproduction and not as a method of pleasure. The Government’s Ministry of Education will be looking into a better, more moral curriculum to introduce to the schools.

Finally, the act restricts and censors Television. This is to make sure that appropriate language is used and that people are being appropriately represented. The act also bans all foreign media and programs from Akhaltsikhe’s television.

Good Evening, you’re watching the Public Broadcasting Center’s evening news, today is June 29, 2010

Today we have a very special treat, an interview with the Executor! He is talking about the Malaria Problem, Finances, and The Tenement Program, very exciting stuff!

Reporter: It’s an honor to meet with you, Mr. Executor.

Executor: It’s an honor to be here.

Reporter: Well, I suppose we should get right to it then, shouldn’t we? First off, are you aware of the recent Malaria outbreaks in the Suchumi Province?

Executor: Yes, I am.

Reporter: What are you going to do about it?

Executor: Well, I’ve ordered the Ministry of Health to devote a huge amount of attention to the matter. They’ve estimated that out of the 150,000 people in that province, 1,000 of them are infected with Malaria. The first thing we’re going to do is issue prophylactic drugs in order to help stop the spread, then we will, to the best of our abilities, attempt to eradicate mosquito populations. We’ll do our part, but Government action alone is not enough.

Reporter: Is the Government working on a vaccine?

Executor: Universities are working on it, we are providing what we can financially.

Reporter: How many people does the MH expect to die?

Executor: I am unaware of any number; we suspect a moderate survivability rate.

Reporter: Changing the subject, there are rumors that the Government’s expenditures will soon exceed her income, is this true?

Executor: The Government has vastly increased its spending, yes. Revenue from the oil industry and income taxes is bringing in a large amount of money, and as of now, the Government’s budget is in surplus. We may be more prone to go into deficit as the surplus is much less than in previous years, but I do not expect the nation’s government to lose Fiscal Responsibility.

Reporter: The tenements and hospitals being built for the poor, where and when is this going to happen?

Executor: Ah, I am glad you asked. This is perhaps the greatest move I’ve made to date. As you know, there is a lot of racial tension in this country and protests, which sometimes get bloody, erupt commonly. The Homeland Act of 1968 was the first time an actual solution was presented, but I don’t believe it goes far enough. So, these tenements and hospitals will be built outside of cities in towns, towns that only allow one race into them. This will separate all the races and give them a place that they can live in without worry of hate crimes from other races. Some foreign forces will call this racism, I call it restoring dignity.

Reporter: Will this be happening in all cities?

Executor: All the Major cities, yes.

Reporter: What about the people who will have to move so they can go to these towns?

Executor: They will of course be compensated.

Reporter: When will this be happening?

Executor: Construction is beginning soon.

Reporter: It seems to me that this is a reinforcement of the Racial Areas Act.

Executor: It is, to an extent.

Reporter: I personally think this is an excellent idea.

Executor: Thank you.

Reporter: Will the races be separated in schools as well?

Executor: I see that as being best as well.

Reporter: Well, I’m excited for this and this is why I’m happy with our current administration.

Executor: Your kind words keep me going, thank you.

We condemn this introduction of apartheid into the nation of Akhaltsikhe in the most strongest possible terms. This is an unacceptable policy of racial segregation and in direct violation of fundamental human rights, which Carentania has sworn to uphold and defend. The ambassador of Akhaltsikhe has been summoned to receive our protest note and we reserve the right to enact harsher sanctions if these plans should go ahead.
