PUBLIC STATEMENT

The Imperial Government would like to state that the communist authorities in Vangala need not feel threatened by recent policy decisions of the Empire. We have never claimed any territory traditionally considered Vangalan, as our own nor do we plan on doing so. We point to the official communique to the Communist Government of Vangala in the earlier part of the month seeking an opportunity for dialogue. It is our thinking in Shahdara that official dialogue must commence between the ruling entity in Vangala and the Imperial Government to repatriate the Vangalan refugees. Additionally, it had been hoped that some degree of official relations could be restored to better enable a stable situation along the shared border.

The reason the Vangalan Government-in-exile has been asked to vacate its offices in Shahdara has been due to their opposition of our policy to repatriate Vangalan citizens back to their homeland. The violence during the period of the revolution led to many refugees entering Sikandara and it has now been deemed the best time for said citizens to be welcomed back by their new ruling authority.

We are deeply disturbed that the regime in Kilkila made such an offensive public statement without taking our overture seriously. However, the doors for diplomacy remain open from own end, in an effort to end the suffering of countless victims of violent strife. It is our hope that on the topic of refugees, neither the Sikandari Government nor the communist authorities in Vangala, politicize the sufferings of these people.

The Imperial Parliament's session was disrupted today when members belonging to the Communist and Republican Parties, numbering some 20 altogether, attacked one another with fists and improvised weapons, such as staplers and pens, leading to the Speaker immediately adjourning the session and the Imperial Guard being called in to stop the scuffle. The Speaker reprimanded the members of the two parties and threatened to ban them from subsequent sessions if their conduct would remain the same. Other MPs sitting close to the event have informed us that the fight broke out when Republican MPs challenged the Communist Party over its loyalty to the state. The Communists countered with their own chants, suggesting that the Republicans were "Sylvanian puppets", which prompted the Republican MP S. G. Malabaskh to throw a stapler at one of the communist MPs, thus beginning the fight.

It must be noted that the fight broke out during a critical debate between the Government and Opposition on the details of the new budget which is to be decided before June 1 and as the session was called to a halt, the Grand Councillor for the Treasury was replying to a query issued by his opposition counterpart. Both, the ruling Cerulean Coalition and the opposition Orange Democrats have criticized the behavior of the MPs from the two parties. The Chancellor, Babur Suleymani issued a statement in which he said: "I am ashamed to say that such immature behaviour was witnessed today in the Imperial Parliament." The Leader of the Opposition, Jehangir Tabatai, added that procedures were present within the protocols of Parliament which would have allowed the MPs to bring their dispute to the attention of the Speaker. Independent MPs chose to remain silent when questioned by journalists.

The two parties, which remain opposed to one another in Sikandari politics, are known for their violent clashes in Osmaniye, where they both draw their strength through the use of criminal mobs galvanizing the required voter strength. The Communist Party is a vanguardist Marxist political group and the Republicans, despite the name, are not related to the Sylvanian form of Republicanism but are rather Fascists opposed to the imperial order in Sikandara. Both parties are not considered mainstream parties, having garnered just enough votes to win their seats.​

GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES REGIONAL DIPLOMATIC TOUR
Chancellor Suleymani has said he seeks to engage with "sane voices" in region

The Office of Chancellor has released a statement announcing the intention of Chancellor Babur Suleymani to visit the states of Sixia, Sri Siva, and other friendly states in the region to discuss matters of varying degrees of importance. The statement, which was issued earlier this morning, quoted the Chancellor as saying, "As a region, we must address the challenges facing us in form of the Yujin Civil War and the refugees that are being created by that conflict." That quote serves to identify the main thrust of Chancellor Suleymani's Touyou tour of 1954, in which he seeks to build an apolitical diplomatic solution to the table for the handling of the refugee crisis.

The statement also, for the first time, included reference to the communist government in Vangala. A subtle reference was made to the "former friends over the horizon" and the removal of the Vangalan Government in exile from Shahdara. Sikandara, following the communist revolution in Vangala, has not interacted with the Kilkila Government directly but has used its embassy in Tyrrhenia as the intermediary for its messages, as it does for the other communist states. However, recent press reports from that country have shown that the friendly overture has been rebuffed by the communist leadership.

The main opposition party, the Orange Democrats, has praised by the Government's plan but has criticized the fact that the parliamentary committee responsible was not consulted in the formation of the itinerary. The Republican Party, the fascist anti-communists, have criticized the government for softening its Vangala policy. While the Communist Party has objected to the refusal of the Government to handover the representatives of the United Princely Government of Vangala (the official name for the government-in-exile) to the new communist authorities in Kilkila. Independent MPs have remained quiet, as is their usual stance on most matters, at-least publicly.

This venture by the Government has been announced just as the Carentanian Government threatened that it would wage war against the Empire of Sikandara and harms its economic interests. The statement has been denounced by all political parties in Sikandara. It is rumored that the Government has begun feverish dialogue with major customers of Sikandari oil on the other side of the Long Sea to create contingency plans, in the situation that the Carentanians carry out an illegal blockade of the Long Sea. In response to the Carentanian Government, Grand Councillor Ghaznavi communicated clearly that Sikandara was not a country to be taken lightly.​

Historically, we have not thought to meddle in the affairs of our neighbour and that remains the case today. But we must state that the reaction and behaviour of all members of the RDTO to our efforts to normalise ties with Vangala has baffled us, to say the least. Would normalisation of ties between Shahdara and Kilkila not benefit the Vangalan people? Additionally, we ask the Carentanian Government to consider the fact, that strategically, Sikandara is in the prime position to take advantage of Vangala's focus to their eastern frontiers. Yet, we have not attacked - nor do we plan on it. What do we have to gain by getting embroiled in the effects of post-colonialism? The popular will of the Vangalan people has suggested that the Marxist path is that which they seek. So be it. Had we sought to expand our focus into that country, would we not have done so in the very early beginnings of the Vangalan revolution? On the matter of Imperial Yujin, we can understand the concerns of the Carentanian Government and have been on record as criticizing the Government in Zhenjing for the declaration and expansion of war in Vangala. It is our endeavour to use our influence in that Government to help reduce the spillover of the Yujin civil war. Lastly, we inform the Carentanian Government that there is no mutual defense pact between Yujin and Sikandara, so Rijecka may rest assured it would not have to face, hypothetically speaking of course, the dual terror of Yujiner and Sikandari troops. SIKANDARA INTERVENES IN YUJIN CIVIL WAR
Yujiner Emperor requests Sikandari assistance against communist hordes

The Office of the Chancellor has released a statement in which it has been announced that following repeated requests from the legitimate Government of the Empire of Yujin, the Imperial Military of Sikandara had been authorised to intervene in the Yujin Civil War in aid of Imperial Yujiner forces with the blessing of the Yujiner Emperor. This military intervention began two weeks ago, on March 15, and the deployment has gone off smoothly. The Government has issued strong directives to the military to respect Yujiner property, where possible, and to abide by the laws of God and Country.

The Imperial Parliament has, on occasion of this news, seen speeches being made by MPs, expressing their support of the intervention and of the anti-communist struggle in Yujin. The Imperial Parliament has issued a statement which has expressed the Empire's support for Yujin against rebels but has called for other offensive actions by that government to cease, so as to allow them to focus their energies on the civil war. The Chancellor, in Parliament, further addressed members that the goal of the Sikandari intervention was to resolve the situation in Northern Yujin, as that directly affected Sikandara's security. He once again, reiterated the offer to the Vangalan Government to meet to discuss matters aimed at nomalising diplomatic relations.​

The Jurchen Republic takes concerned note of the Sikandari government's verification of public rumors about ongoing or impending military intervention by Imperial forces in the conflict perpetuated against its own people by the Empire of Yujin. The Jurchen Republic expresses its grave concern about the decision by Sikandari authorities to perpetuate and expand the conflict in Yujin in an act that can only be interpreted as intended to guarantee the existence of a criminal regime that has invested its political capital in a campaign to maintain its iron fist rule over the peoples of the Empire of Yujin at whatever cost. The decision by the Sikandari government can do nothing but further destabilize the already volatile situation in Eastern Touyou, and the Jurchen Republic can see nothing but a deliberate act directly working against recent Jurchen activities aimed at stabilizing the region and returning it to a situation favorable to democracy, commerce and genuine broad emancipation of the disenfranchised masses of Eastern Touyou. Military intervention in favor of maintaining a regime that has lost all regional support will not end this war, but rather prolong it and invite the agents of imperialism to deeply entrench their agenda in Yujin and beyond.

The Jurchen Republic calls upon the Sikandari government to withdraw its military support for the Empire of Yujin and instead enter into a constructive dialog with regional actors to find a solution to the armed hostilities in Yujin that is in the interest of the people of Yujin and Eastern Touyou in general. The Republic will furthermore consult with its regional and global partners about further coordinated steps in light of this move of aggression.

VANGALA INVADES YUJIN!!!
Communist hordes descend upon Sinhai Province

The international media is reporting that the armed forces of the Vangalan Clique have invaded the troubled Yujiner Province of Sinhai, whose port city of Siraama was recently captured by the communist rebels in the province. The Vangalan invasion comes as the communists in Sinhai began posturing in a pro-Vangala manner, which drew concerns from the Yujiner communist group, the Hongmenghui. Following the arrival of this news, the Government of Sikandara contacted its counterpart in Sri Siva, an ally and a country which shares its border with the Yujiner Province.

The Office of the Chancellor has called people to remain calm and has instructed the Sikandari Imperial Military to immediately mobilize and for the forces on the frontier to be at their absolute highest level of preparedness, as the threat of a Vangalan invasion into Sikandara became a tangible possibility. The Government has halted its diplomatic overtures to the Vangalan communists in light of the situation and the remaining Vangalan refugees are being returned to their homeland at such a rate so as to allow a complete closure of the border at the earliest.

The Imperial Parliament has condemned the invasion of the Empire of Yujin and called on other nations to do the same.

The loyal mouthpieces of the Sikandari government are propagating their masters' lies.

There is no division between the revolutionary forces in Sinhai: both are united in their belief for an end to Imperial rule and the right to self-determination for the Sinhese people.

The People's Republic of Vangala furthermore has not invaded the territory of the Empire of Yujin. The Vangalan People's Armed Forces entered the lands of the nascent People's Republic of Sinhai at the request of provisional authorities in order to expel lingering elements of the Yujiner Imperial Army, and ward off a potential invasion by Sri Siva.

The People's Republic of Vangala would also like to reassure the people of Sikandara would it might find the foreign policy actions of their government deplorable, and their method of rule oppressive, we have no intention of invading Sikandara. The Imperial Military released a statement today which announced that the operations of the Sikandari intervention in Yujin had resulted in the destruction of the communist insurgents in the predominantly Muslim north-western Yujiner province of Xianbei by a series of raids conducted by the infantry divisions of the 201st Army in concert with their local allies, the Baijingdui freedom fighters. The Chairman of the Imperial High Command of the military has further announced that he is proud of the performance of the brave Sikandari troops against the communist forces in Yujin and that this commitment to rescuing Yujin from the clutches of the communists would be unending in its resolve.

The Imperial Government has congratulated the Sikandari troops for conducting brave operations against the enemy and the Parliament has granted the High Command a boost in funds. While continuing with the direct intervention policy in Northern Yujin, Chancellor Suleymani has stated that the Sikandari Government was hopeful that the Jiangbao Peace Talks would result in a positive outcome which would see a state of peace being established in Yujin's southern quarter. In his speech in the Imperial Parliament, Chancellor Suleymani condemned the declaration of independence by Sinhai and the subsequent Vangalan invasion of the disputed territory.​

The Imperial Parliament has passed a resolution declaring communism and its various forms to be anti-Sikandara, thus effectively banning the Communist Party of Sikandara. The leadership of the aforementioned party has been arrested and a crackdown has commenced against the Party across Sikandara. The Sikandari intelligence agencies have already arrested 890 proven members of the Communist Party and have broken up cells of Marxist agitators and foreign spies.

The Chancellor has commended the efforts of the security agencies and has stated that the Republican Party would be banned as well, as it was a true force of evil in Osmaniye due to its violent and criminal activity in that city. The crackdown has been instigated after plans were discovered on the body of a Communist Party member detailing plans for an assassination attempt on the life of the Emperor of Sikandara.​

MILITARY INDUCTS INDIGENOUS JET FIGHTERS

The Imperial Military of Sikandara has inducted into its ranks the first domestically designed and produced jet fighters, ending a project which had begun several years ago, following the successful adoption of jet technology in military aircraft by several nations. The Imperial Military, on the occasion, released a statement in which they thanked the Government of Sikandara for facilitating the aeronautical industry of the country and for developing a policy of engagement with foreign nations, such as Ivernia, which allowed the domestic industry to develop the jet.

At the induction ceremony, which was held earlier today, the Grand Councillor for Defence announced that the KMH-5 had strengthened the Empire and its capabilities and the Military would be a bulwark against communism and other radicalism. The Grand Councillor was further given a fly past of the new jets and met with several of the pilots who had been specifically trained for the new jet squadron which had been created for the aircraft. The new jets will augment the existing Sikandari jet force, which has in the past been almost entirely composed of the Ivernian jet fighters of the Aodh-Mor Corporation.
