Giuliana Marghêri, knight of the republic | Creato in quei de Furzillo in lo 06/04/1956 |
Since the duties of minister Giuliana Marghêri were many, we had to wait until yesterday for the official knighthood assignment. Daughter of the noble Marghêri family, who worked and fought hard to gain the justinian independence, has immediately demonstrated her political skills becoming assistant of Rune Blasutti, councilor in the municipality of Presciliacco in a very young age, and then getting a job in the ministry of internal affairs as 'agente di riporto'* in the big city of Scevola. Later, with great bitterness from her father, she decided to join the ranks of the democrats party, serving as secretary and then councilor in the region of ''Marina'' where he participated actively in the discussion over the creation of the Presciliacco dam and was among the councilors voting in favor of its construction when the municipality council of Presciliacco asked an official opinion of the regional council. With the following success of the dam many of the councilors who voted in favor had great benefits, Margheri was even summoned by the Senate as a representative of the region, she was interrogated and commended by the senators; Here he met the Gonfalonier Pietri with whom she had a long discussion on the management of foreign affairs, as a supporter of openness to the outside world she was finally considered by the second Pietri government as minister of foreign affairs and passing the vote in the Senate became formally minister. with the crisis induced by the irrepressible expansionist desires of kadikistan she was sent, alone, in Bourgogne, where she had to attend to senseless displays of strength by the counterpart and seeing every proposal be rejected and receiving counterproposals that would lead to the end of the justinian independence; triying to enforce our honor jeopardizing her safety by challenging to a duel one of the barbarians who, scared, refused and fled while the Duke of Bourgogne, subdued by the kadiki, expelled the heroine. Just learnd about the facts President Benedetti decided at once to confer the knighthood to Marghêri, but she could not return because of threats to her life, she than fled in the allied Veniasufia. With the ending of the naval blockade she returned home joyfully greet by her people but it was then taken with many government meetings and foreign missions. Yesterday, as already said, finally she received the knighthood during an unusually pompous cerimony, followed by a long feast that kept turned on the minds and the lights of Furzillo until the early hours of the morning. in a speech she said she was excited to see the people survived this great crisis and yet united and strong. New national anthem | Creato in quei de Furzillo in lo 07/04/1956 |
Today will start at 6:00pm the referendum decided by the Senate for the selection of the new national anthem. The old hymn was chosen for its simplicity and harmony by the Senate in accordance with the first Pietri government and with the president, but the citizens have often expressed disagreement on the subject by finding it rather boring and devoid of meaning, not long time ago a petition reached the Senate asking an old military march to replace the current anthem, but the Senate remained too divided on the subject, and understanding its inability to pass a resolution on the subject entrusted to the citizens the choice. many military marches, nationalist chants and classical symphonies were collected from all the municipalities of the island and will be voted from 6:00am today until the day after tomorrow ending at 9:00pm. the hymn that is going to win will immediately replace the current without any passage in the Senate, citizens have, therefore, a great responsibility. Even the editorial staff of 'LaJustaNovella' has registered and will vote for a song very dear to us in this fantastic example of direct democracy. Finally some useful information on how to vote: anyone willing to vote in the referendum will need an ID card and a residence certificate, you will need to go to your city or village Town Hall or alternatively to the municipality palace, in the voting chamber you will find kind government workers that will help you in the process. Bourgundian king is alive The burgundian king has been seen alive in a conference, very worn out he tried not to fall to anger but at the end declared as a countermove a larger bourgundian involvement in the ivernian powder keg irritating the kadikistani authorities and bringing a poor abbot from Gouw Marken to express a lunatic sermon reported by the Marken media. More televisions, more ERJ | Creato in quei de Furzillo in lo 08/04/1956 |
It all happened in a short period of time, some noble families of the Avis peninsula have decided to buy televisions from Eiffelland for their villas and than first in the neighboring villages and towns and then across all the south-east of the island many middle-class families have copied this decision, the economic development of the island and the increased wages certainly gave a big thrust but also the decision of the senate not to tax the possession of a television helped, this was decided to encourage the development of electronic industries which absence on the island weighs a lot. With the increased number of viewers the ERJ decided to rearrange the channels in order to offer a better service, 4 channels will be available from today, similar to those existing for the radio: Channel 1 will cover political and sociological issues of Justiza through discussions and documentaries; Channel 2 will look at the news and topics that come to us from europe; Channel 3 will be specialized in culture and classical music; and finally the channel 4 will offer contemporary music and show sports and popular events. the ERJ council also spread the news that the president himself will shortly buy a television; times change, justiza moves towards the future aligning with the western powers. what we wander is if the ERJ will maintain its dominance in the coming decades. (more at page 6)The noble judgeswith progressive loss of power on the territory the nobles of Justiza are gradually moving their influence to new worlds, in many municipalities the word ''nobelman'' is already associated to courts and justice in general, and this seems the most common direction for the aristocracy of the island as they lose hope of regaining the ancient glories. What remains to discover is how the political situation will change due to this disillusion: whill the ReM party mantain its percentage in the senate or will the aristocrats find a new addressee for their votes? Justiza and Propontis come together | Creato in quei de Furzillo in lo 11/04/1956 |
Gonfaloniere Valerio Pietri has confirmed the rumors over a justinan-propontine collaboration in the creation of the national fleet: part of the production will continue in the shipyards of Tiburia; in addition to this, the number of vessels previously decided will be slightly increased thanks to this agreement that will reduce the production time; in addition to this Justiza will buy a still not specified number of ships directly produced by propontine companies. At the end of the communication the Stall Warrantor Victoria Florente continued the discourse announcing the birth of an airline company that will merge a propontine company with a justinan one, Icarus and Unipons respectively, the new company will keep the two old names thus forming the Icarus-Unipons which will certainly not only make Justiza and Propontis a bit closer but all the nations of the LongSea as well. Apparently the commitment of the justinian government in trying to get closer to what remains of the ancient empire of Tibur is beginning to bear fruit, after the justinian-propontine trade agreement many companies have decided to overcome national boundaries and now the birth of the Icarus-Unipons and the treaty under discussion between the nearest LongSea powers formalizes a definitive and irremediable new course for our foreign policy; However, not everyone is happy about this change and, as it should be, the government has guaranteed to listen to the reasons of the isolationists, but right now being open to the world seems the most appropriate way to save the island; will we regret, one day, this opening? Let's hear what the greatest exponents of the two factions have to say about it: The economist Filippo Conio and Lord Gisberto A. Lusabêi with the help of the historian Giulio Giugliani. (more at page 6) A new national anthemthe counting of the referendum votes has finished, and finally the new anthem is decided, it will be an old nationalist song well-known in the countryside, especially in the central hills: ''

To celebrate the results the National Orchestra will play those notes tonight in Plazza De' Libertade in Furzillo, all citizens are invited to the capital to sing all together; for the occasion stores and coffee shops will be able to remain open until late at night to ensure everyone a good service and fun. People's Commissariat for External Affairs
"Because any form of verbal reasoning is lost on the Justinian regime and their vile Propontine allies we will be short in our official response. The current size of the Justinian navy is accepted by the Status Quo Treaty and any enlargement or expansion of said navy is considered a violation of the sacred treaty. Be warned, we will not tolerate Justinian naval expansion without primary consultation with the Great Powers behind the Status Quo. Justinian authorities would benefit their people if they would stop allowing their country to be used as a puppet by the warmongering Propontine regime, abide by the Status Quo Treaty and have the common courtesy to consult the regional powers."

Celebration in Furzillo | Creato in quei de Furzillo in lo 12/04/1956 |
During the celebration for the new national anthem has spread the news of the Kadiki communiqué and soon the national holiday has turned into a rally in support of the Senate and against the intrusion of kadikistan in its decisions, anti-Kadikistani songs have invaded the inner city of Furzillo accompanied by the National Orchestra, after the dust has settled and the evening proceeded with laughter, toasts and folk dances; We heard that some senators were seen dancing with citizens in Plazza De' Libertade while was immortalized the presence of the President to some toasts in the eastern suburbs. In short, an initially tense night that ended in the greatest joy, not a single rashly act has been reported except for a bunch of broken bottles and confetti in the streets. (more at page 10) Kadikistan strikes againThe warmongering Kadikistan has resumed to threaten our peaceful republic but was instantly hushed-up by a message of the Gonfaloniere (see page 2) and of the propontine foreign ministry. This time the motivation for the verbal attack would be the justinan decision to increase the fleet numbers previously decided by the Senate which Kadikistan say would violate treaties by now passed into history and never signed by us; the government now expects to discover which will be the response of the bloodthirsty empire, but whatever it is this time justiza has allies on its side, an improved army and new warships ready to defend the national sovereignty of the island, Kadikistan can not afford to lord it over us as with a chiefdom of the new world; we have become a piece on the national chessboard now, and our place will ensure to us the desired stability and safety.

News from the world around us | Creato in quei de Furzillo in lo 11/04/1956 |
Troubling news are coming from Propontis, it seems that part of the national left has fallen under the sordid yoke of the kadikistani empire; justinian authorities are very concerned by the recent events that saw a propontine politician killed by these fanatics without inhibitions. The kadikistani response to this incredible act done in its name is the one that we already saw at the time of the Scevola attack, a thin support statement disguised as an easily distinguishable false indignation. While all justinians recognize that the Propontine Empire is perfectly able to stop this wave of madness that overwhelmed its political life, there is still strong concern in the air, and the nerves are tense; this while also the friendly nation of Eiffelland lines up on our side in the endlessly dispute with the aggressive kadikis. Lastly vague rumors come from Veniasufia of massacres, coups and chaos in the streets, but the news are too limited and conflicting to let us express a fine explanation about what is truly happening there; the justinian ambassador in Veniasufia assured to us and to the government that will investigate on the events occurred; he himself, present in the allied nation, failed to understand what was exactly going on, and felt it was safer to stay confined in the embassy until the dust has settled. (more at page 2) About the SenateIt is approaching the time for the next senatorial elections that forewarn a change in the current balance of the senate, and although Democrats are sure to win again and even with a greater majority, in the Senate halls again has been heard talking about the possibility of an electoral reform that would let the political force with the most votes to get enough percentage in the Senate to be able to govern alone; idea opposed by minority parties which might not be able to reach the minimum percentage to enter the Senate. At the moment, however, it remains just in the air and nothing has been officially signed and proposed to the Senate vote, mainly because right now the danger of an unstable Senate is limited and the population is confident in a new and stable government and also because international affairs have the priority at the moment; in this regard has been advanced a bill that would provide to the Senate the ability to elect a ruler with royal powers, even above the Senate, in case of war in order to ensure speed and competence, the law does not currently have the numbers to pass as it is but there are those who think of the possibility to extend these extraordinary powers to the president of the republic. the Veniasufian ''dies insaniae'' ''days of madness'' | Creato in quei de Furzillo in lo 22/04/1956 |
Complete information still don't come from Veniasufia; the ambassador announced he won't communicate directly with the national media about the event and even the government decided not comment. but the ERJ council decided to continue on his own the investigation; for now we know that in the day on March 25 there was a big strike that lasted for several days accompanied by protests in the streets of the capital city of Corcidia the protests where followed by a military coup carried out apparently by general Franco Leone, also responsible for killing a number of protesters thet where in the streets to oppose the military coup d'etat. Many events quickly followed at the close of which the parliament was reinstated and general Leone arrested. These days of madness that have invested Veniasufia left justinian astonished, maybe too poorly informed about the country's political situation, and for this the ERJ assumes all responsibilities and will fill in the gaps. (more at page 4) King Zordano Benedetti? The new VaJ Party, formerly ReM, brought under discussion in the Senate the possibility of giving a prominent noble title to the president of the republic and dismiss the election of his office by the Senate, proceeding after him by inheritance, the proposal does not ask for any change in the powers and duties at the moment attributed to him and this has intrigued many, it is useless to hide that many justinians would love the idea of having a monarch as a symbol of the nation and not a president, which would certainly have occurred if the president was a member of a noble family, but his peasant origins have canalised the island's history in a different direction. But allowing this proposal to pass so close to the elections, would allow VaJ to buy more support, which would increase the danger of an unstable Senate; for this reason has come back to life the subject of a new electoral law, and VaJ would be ready to vote on this matter together with DEM and PCJ which would allow this critical law to pass with more than three-quarters of the Senate in favor, which would ensure maximum legitimacy to the law.
