I have been obliged to direct to you the wishes of the foreign office and, commensurately, the government-in-care and the Realm Parliament, Den Folkhus, the initial but cautious comfort that is a result of the declaration of the said 'Septennial Plan'.

The nascent government, though still in it's salad days and untested in the tumult of international and internal contrariness, has sent out positive echos across the globe and has, to some extent, defeated naysayers and those with axes to grind against this entity of the high north.

Whilst it can be said that His Majesty the King and Emperor is a cousin of HM King Alvar VI, it is directly the case that national rectitude must come before all. His Majesty is understood to be of the belief that HM King Alvar, HM the Queen Dowager Eha, and the other members of the royal family of Øselriget shall find comfort in their new home within Ivernien and shall always be welcome in this, the Kingdom of Danmark also.

The unveiling of the programme for government is illuminating and one of positive bilateral, regional, and international discourse and enaction. In it, aspects are thoroughly positive and enlightened, especially with respect to the apparent deep thought given to national econo-social development, infrastructure, and a pledge to the nations in terms of internal investment and connections.

Connections are much to be desperately needed by the new regime and, it is under circumstances and consideration, that the Kingdom of Great and Little Danes is of the mind and concreteness to announce its recognition of the new governmental jurisdiction that resides in Kuressaare.

It is with accordance to the Constitution of the Aurarian Republic that as Minister of Foreign Affairs, I speak on behalf of the Government of the Aurarian Republic. All statements made here are to be held as the official position of the Aurarian Government. The situation inSaaremaa displays what we feel to be the worst aspect of a governing body. As stated previously, a military does not possess the right, no matter how justified they believe their cause to be, to openly oppose and counter the civilian government. The job of a military is to safeguard the civilian government and provide tranquility in the land from threats both foreign and domestic. This breach of trust between the military and the righteous Saaremaan Government has led the Aurarian Government to make the following decision.

Supporting or acknowledging the legitimacy of this illegal government will stand to show the world that the Aurarian Republic is not committed to the preservation of liberty and civilian governance. The Aurarian Government is requesting that the Saaremaan diplomatic team leave Heredia and the nation, unless a threat is presented to their persons by doing so.

The events in this spring in Saaremaa describe a people sick of politicians and their machinations and promises. They describe a revolution. Our movements for freedom have nothing similar with any coup d'etat. The government may be inclined to believe that because they make a confusion between the role of the Black Army in the revolution and the stratocratic ideology. In the revolution, when the royalist forces were beating the people, the army took the role of a vanguard, to defend them and then help them redeem victory. In the Stratocracy, the state is a democracy in which you gain the right to vote after you have shown merit, by serving in the army. This doesn't make the state a military dectatorship and neither puts and equal between power and army. The Black Army is there to serve the people, but now our leaders finally show us that they are worthy of leading the state by serving it in the army for more than ten years. In the meritocratic democracy that is the National Revolutionary State, to gain the right to vote, you need to serve three years in the army; to gain the right to candidate for an office in the National Assembly, you need to serve in the army for ten years. Thus, you show that you also gave something to the state, not only profited from its existence and this hardly makes for a military dictatorship.

Elections for the formation of the National Assembly

Today, the people with vote right came to elect the first Parliament of the National Revolutionary State. There were 200 voting districts formed throughout the country, each with three places in the assembly and Kuressaare with four. The voting started at eight o'clock in the morning and continued until six a clock in the evening. The voters were each given a list on candidates names, going to one page in Ahja to thirty four pages in Kuressaare and they were to stamp the name of the three (four for Kuressaare) candidates they would like to represent their district in the National Assembly.

The counting of the votes hasn't ended yet, but by the votes counted by now and the exit-polls, the Central Electoral Bureau have given the Correspondent the names of the persons who received the most votes in the major cities and will represent their regions in the National Assembly:

Kuressaare: Jaan Kalda, Mihkel Vaino, Edvin Allik, Toomas Lepp;
Raasiku: Paavo Laht, Kalev Soosaar, Andrus Masing;
Oru: Riina Sepp, Paavo Saar, Jaak Raud;
Loksa: Tarja Korjus, Alvar Kukk, Hendrik Nurmsalu;
Imavere: Heino Kuusik, Aleksander Lippmaa, Kalju Ilves;

The vote didn't went without incidents. In Kerdla, a woman was taken out of the voting room after she bashed the ballot box, destroying it and scattering ballots everywhere. She was accused of public disturbance and the obstruction of the voting process.
There were no other major disturbances in the country in this important day. On the first page of the Evening Correspondent, you will find the complete list of the men and women who were elected to form the National Assembly. Tomorrow, the members will nominate and vote the State Protector, the head of state of the National Revolutionary State of Saaremaa.

The High Kingdom of Ivernia would like to be enlightened as to what the current rule in Saaremaa meant by ''the people with vote right''. If Saaremaa simply means those who have achieved a specific age (Typically the age of adulthood) are the ones to vote, then so be it.

However if this is pertaining to the method of Statocracy to restrict the right to vote only to certain chosen members of it's population, in order to maintain a majority bias, then they may as well have not bothered with this song and dance.
This High Kingdom will only recognise a full democratic vote. No picking & choosing, trimming or micro-management of the peoples individual right to vote for their Government.

And so the only people of Saaremaa who have been granted the right to vote in the military junta of Saaremaa are those who enter the military. The safe and easy way to maintain a bias. In order for a person to vote, he or she must first completely dedicate their entire life to the military government and follow their every order for three years. Once they are sufficiently indoctrinated, they are allowed to vote.

For a military that ''helped the people toward freedom'' this High Kingdom remembers reading the declaration of revolution and found the entire signature base to be Generals from the Military of Saaremaa.

There is a difference between a career officer and a man who serves in the army because of the national military stage. The National Revolutionary State is not even a month old, so when the Ivernian ministers say that the people were indoctrinated during their national service, this happened during the Kingdom they support and gave asylum to it's politicians and monarchs. We have reached our hand towards Ivernia hoping for a friendly shake, we did much to be seen by them the way we were, as friends, but it may seem that the Ivernian politicians have something else in their agenda for the State and People of Saaremaa. We want to remember them that Queen Eha was the one that eight years ago tried to restore absolutism in Saaremaa with the help of the National Salvation League. The same Queen and her son now are in Ivernia surely planning to overthrow the revolution to return to Kuressaare.

Now, regarding the Declaration of Raasiku, it is normal for it to be signed by Generals, because through it, the army declared that it sided with the people in their revolution. Must we remind the Ivernian government the continuous street fights in Kuressaare between the people and the partisans of the NSL, the same party that supported Eha in her absolutism dreams? Must we remind them about how the police shot and killed students when they came to the Government's Palace and asked for the terrorist Ott Andrus to continue his sentence? How they demonstrated for the dissolution of the Kingdom and the police greeted them with bullets because they were called "rebel instigators"? True, the National Revolutionary State is not perfect, as we are still young, but the Kingdom of Saaremaa was the criminal force during the Revolution. The same Kingdom that you know support by giving asylum to its kings and queen and princes, but the problem is that during the kingdom, only the elites lived well, while poverty was huge. We aim to change that. If the Ivernian government doesn't want to see that, or support that, it means that they weren't actually friends of the people of Saaremaa, but of its elites.

In conclusion, let me repeat it, the to have the right to vote you need to complete your stage, either military or civil and this means just three years in which you, as a man train for defending the state and as a woman, besides some firing practice, mostly work in military bases or in the nationwide campaigns that the government sponsored. After that, you receive the right to vote. We say again, because of the stages and services being obligatory in the Kingdom, everyone over 21 that hasn't skipped the stages through illicit means, have the right to vote. In the future, both of the stages will become voluntary, to be one of the first things that the State will do in its transformation into a meritocratic one. In the end, if Ivernia continues on this path, we will stop from being friendly until they understand that in the National Revolutionary State the democratic process is active.

If the military regime of Saaremaa is so sure of it's overwhelming support from the population then the entire debate should be a quick fix. One referendum containing the entire people, not just those you have deemed worthy of the right to vote. Judging from what you are evangilising, the vote would come in with a resounding yes for the current military regime and Saaremaa with achieve recognition from the High Kingdom and we shall even begin the process of allowing businesses to continue trade.

However know this, the days of Ivernia and Saaremaa in the sun are over. The relationship Ivernia had with the old state will not pass onto the new. Whatever Ivernia was willing to let slide with Queen Eha (And the previous) was the decision of former High Kings. This High King, Felix Ua Neill, is a stanch supporter of a full unbridled right to vote for your Governance. Full and true democracy.
Statocracy and Meritocracy restrict those rights based on a pie-in-the-sky ideal of what a man should be based on the views of the chosen elite. They control, restrict and pervert democracy into an alternate beast.

Put this vote, the vote to decide whether the nation as a whole has chosen meritocracy - to the nation as a whole. Ivernish trade will return to North. The old closeness and friendship of the Ivernish will not.

Colonel Mihkel Vaino elected as Riikliku Kaitsja - Defender of the StateThe elections for the head of state have ended two days ago when the newly formed National Assembly met to discuss and then vote the man who will form the government and rule the State. The main nominees for this post were Paavo Laht, Kalev Soosaar, Mihkel Vaino, Aleksander Lippmaa and Jaak Raud. Slowly, the members of each region (Piirkond) were called to put their ballot in the urn, starting with the Municipality of Ahja and ending with the four members of the assembly who represent Kuressaare.

The halls of the Assembly's Palace were echoing again and again as more than three of the five sheets the speaker took had the same name written on them. Mihkel Vaino won the elections with a huge difference from the next candidate, Kalev Soosaar, followed by Jaak Raud and the last two were Aleksander Lippmaa and Paavo Laht.

An important even of the elections was the sharp decrease of the reputation of the man who was called by some The Father of the Revolution, Paavo Laht. Rumours say that the files of the National Security Department have recordings of him talking with a foreign delegation about how he plans to win the elections and then crown himself Paavo I of house Laht, king of Saaremaa. It seems that his plans failed, as the parliamentarians voted for Vaino.

Mihkel Vaino: 473 out of 601;
Kalev Soosaar: 76 out of 601;
Jaak Raud: 35 out of 601;
Aleksander Lippmaa: 11 out of 601;
Paavo Laht: 6 out of 601;

Winning the election gives Mihkel Vaino the rank Marsaal in the Black Army and the duty of forming and leading the future government.

A set of amendments and laws which were called by some members of the Assembly the "Vainoist Reform" were presented today by the newly elected Riikliku Kaitsja, Marsaal Mihkel Vaino.


In the laws, the Marshal asked for and end of the "only military can vote law" and to open the democratic process to a wider strata of the people. He also asked for a change of the current national service law and the creation of a National Youth Association, aimed to provide Civic Education of the Youth of Saaremaa.


"The state of Saaremaa may be a stratocracy right now, but we must also do all in our power to support development on industrial, agricultural and scientific level. For that, in support with the Saaremaan Intelligentsia, I propose a change of the electoral law that was set up by the Provisional Government led by General Paavo Laht. The new law will give everyone who has a university diploma the right to vote and candidate, thus enlarging the democratic process and again open the gates of the ministries to more and more competent people, that not only will do everything for the state, but also they are trained and educated for this.


The next important law in the reform is the national service law. In a Meritocratic state, like Saaremaa that also keeps Stratocratic features, the army shouldn't be compulsory, thus we must make the Black Army voluntary, only with this move, we can be sure that the men and women who join it are doing it for serving the state."


The Kuressaare Correspondent received a list of changes that will be made if the Vainoist Reforms would be voted by the National Assembly:
The changing of the electoral law, giving vote right and candidature rights to everyone with a higher education diploma for decreasing the years of serving in the army for the rights to candidate from 10 to 5 years;
The formation of a National Youth Association, that would not only teach students to survive in the wild the the Occidental Scouts, but also provides civic education.
The abolition of the national service and transforming the Black Army into a professional army made of volunteers.
An agricultural reform, which would create Agricultural Co-ops for the better use of the fertile lands in Saaremaa.

The Saaremaan Revolution has received the support of the Fennian Union and thus the meeting is expected to cement the already warming relations between the two states. It has been said that the cultural union of the two countries was also an important factor, as the meeting will also have on its list of interest the creation of cultural programs for students or tourists between the Revolutionary State of Saaremaa and the Fennian Union. Bank Robbery in KuressaareA bank robbery took place in Kuressaare at the Saaremaan Comercial Group in the Union Square. Suspect, wearing grey trousers and sweaters and black sky masks entered the bank at 8:10 in the morning threatening the people inside with guns. Black Army to be sent in Loago​ The Commonwealth of Loago, Saaremaa's prized possession in Himyari in on the brink of destruction. The continuous attacks on the population by the fanatical group of bandits the call themselves the Lord's Salvation Army are threatening to engulf the whole Himyari region into a colonial war. The terrorists are known for attacking villages and town and when they manage to defeat its defenders they always recruit the children into their bands. A few days ago, reports have shown that this group also attempted to enter New Fennia to make contact with similar groups in the Protected Territories. Other than the fanatics, the old reactionary generals and nobles also found a safe heaven in the jungles and savannas of Loago. Leading armies of deserters, monarchists, royalists, thugs and all kinds of low lives, they have been transformed from the men who led the White Army during the Kingdom of Saaremaa into warlords that want to carve their own states and kingdoms at the expense of the native and Saaremaan people living in the Commonwealth. Shocked by this turn of events, an extraordinary meeting was held by the National Assembly, which in unanimity decided that the Commonwealth must be saved from those armies of bandits and pacified, for the sake of continental stability and the safety of the people. "The Black Army will be sent to Maseru as soon as possible. We need to stabilize the Commonwealth for the good of the people living in it and for the people of Saaremaa. Those bands of terrorists must be stopped in their quest to kill everyone that isn't joining them in their folly. The Black Army will move first to stabilize the south and then gradually advance north," said General Andrus Masing on the subject. The dossiers of the Royal Security Service, now published The National Office for the Investigation of the Crimes of the Monarchy has finally published a first lot of the infamous RSS dossiers. It is believed that nearly everyone in the nation had a such a file made by the RSS where many of their timetables, work hours, habits were written down so it would facilitate the RSS in their duty to "safe keep" each resident in Saaremaa. The dossiers generally contain reports from tapped phone conversations, about the political stance and their attitudes towards the King from the older files, Alvar the V and to Eha from the newer ones. There are currently no published dossiers from the short reign of Alvar VI, as most of them are considered lost. It is believed that men who were in the service of the RSS took them either to their warlords in Loago, or to their kings in exile in Ivernia, trying to hide the identities of their main spies. From the most famous dossiers, we wish to present the files of General Laht, who was seen by the RSS as "against us, but isn't a threat", of the now defunct Socialist Party leader Riina Lepp, who was seen as "having the means to destabilize the kingdom" and of the leader of the now defunct National Salvation League, Alexander Koppel who was seen as "a great friend of the kingdom, always ready to work for the better of the country". ​ Revolutionary trials over; Last verdicts spoken The Revolutionary Trials were ended today with the verdicts being given to the leaders of the main political party leaders, Alexander Koppel and Riina Lepp. The head of the National Salvation League, a right-wing reactionary party that supported Queen Eha's suppression of democracy, Alexander Koppel was sentenced with life imprisonment out of which fifteen years will be spent in Vendra, working at the Imavere-Vendra Railway and then in the Imavere Coal Mines, the rest of his sentence he will spend it in the Kuressaare Oism äe Prison. He is condemned for actively working in suppressing democracy along Queen Eha in 1945 and then for organizing the street fights in Kuressaare in March 1953, actively working to destabilize the state. He is also condemned for participating at a failed terrorist plot to bomb the Kadriord Square, an act made by Prince Ott Andrus at the beginning of April 1953. ​ The socialist leader Riina Lepp, a woman that led a left-wing party that changed its name in early May to The Socialist Party was acquitted by the National Revolutionary Commission as the juries decided that her, the students and the whole people's actions were in general response to the attacks provoked by the NSL, as they tried to defend themselves. The student protests have been the key factor of the April Revolution and it may be because of that, that the juries decided that Riina Lepp should be acquitted. Other important men that were sentenced in the Revolutionary Trials: Queen Eha - life imprisonment (in absentia), Prince Ott Andrus - Execution by firing squad, Olev Meri - life imprisonment (the killer the martyr of the revolution, the student Koit Sisask) and Paavo Eenpalu - life imprisonment (the chief of police in Kuressaare by the time of the May student Peace March and the one who ordered the police to open fire upon the demonstrators). ​

Mihkel Väinö:Saaremaa needs to distance itself from the revolutionary rhetoric and slowly progress towards a civilian meritocracy As the words of the State Defender still echo in the halls of the Palace of the National Assembly, most of the supporters of General Paavo Laht and Colonel Kalev Soosaar are still shocked by the words addressed to them. In a speech held last night, right before leaving for Kalevala, the State Defender, Marshal Mihkel Väinö reaffirmed the status of a vanguard played by the army in the April Revolution. He also stated that this status must not change and the army must not move from its position as an institution ready to defend the state to an institution equivalent of the government or a presidency. State Defender Mihkel Väinö declared that the current state of affairs inside Saaremaa are the ones that really destroy the meritocracy's image for the foreign government and thus openly declared that if Saaremaa wants to develop itself at a higher rate, it's leaders goals must be the creation of a civil meritocracy that would work for the people. Angered by his declarations, both Paavo Laht and Kalev Soosaar left the hall and asked their colleagues to stop supporting Väinö, as "he is bringing the political elements back into the post-revolutionary Saaremaan Society". Väinö still has the majority of supporters in the National Assembly and thus its believed that the his reforms will be put into practice, once the referendum for the abolishment of the monarchy will be held tomorrow. http://i1014.photobucket.com/albums/af267/AOS95/180px-23april1953.png A day in which we have chosen our destiny.​ ​

would like to congratulate Mihkel Vaino and his forward thinking vision. At first this High Kingdom was extremely skeptical of the New State of Saaremaa but under Vaino's wing, Saaremaa is becoming more and more alike a civilised nation. With the allowance of voting rights to High School Diploma's, to the forward vision what we have seen from the Former Kingdom of the North, Saaremaa is seen in a much more optimistic light. Ivernia would like to begin a re-establishment of old ties between these two nations. Particularly retying the trade routes that were severed, which do nothing but harm both of our nations. If Saaremaa continues on this path it will indeed receive a full recognition from the High Kingdom of Ivernia and a full restore to the old friendship.

Please consider this a great olive branch of the south.

Acquitting Mrs. Riina Lepp from the charges raised against her speaks well for the legal system of the Saaremaan state. The Workers' Republic of Carentania wishes to officially congratulate her and thank her for her role in preventing a reactionary take-over of her country - and event that would have spelled ill fate for all of Scania and Europe as a whole.
