Central Bank Buys Altaic Bonds​ The Talemantine Imperial Bank announced today that it would begin buying Altaic government Bonds. Chief Administrator of the Imperial Bank Zeno Piero stated that Talemntros would begin buying Altaic bonds to help the nation begin its recovery following the devastating war between the Talemantine Empire and Altai. This was one of the many signals by both the Altaic and Talemantine government that the current peace talks will be a success.

War Belligerents Reject Rijeka​ Both the government of Altai and Talemantros have stated they remain committed to finding peace between each other and that this peace will be decided by the parties in the war an no one else. This comes after Carentania and the RDTO placed demands on a peace deal between Talemantros and Altai. Many say that since both sides of the conflict have rejected the demands of Rijeka that the declaration has lost its effect and that the only way for Rijeka to achieve its goals of dominating Himyar would be to expand the war with the RDTO invading both Talemantros and Altai.

Treasury to Announce the New Budget​ The Treasury will officially announce the Talemantine budget for the next fiscal year, which begins in April. With the downgrading of Wieser bond by the world's two most respected credit ratings agencies Springer Investor Services LLC and Shaw-Sterling based in Danzig and Breotonia respectively, the budget is projected to effect the nations rating on the next updates by the credit agencies. Some expect to see some deficits in the budget and whether it will involve a possible changing of the long standing decrees that prohibit consecutive budget deficits.

The announcements made by Talemantros and Altai needn't necessarily mean a rejection of the international community and their demands towards the peace process. If the peace achieved in the current conference incorporates the goals outlined by the multilateral conference in Rijeka, it will gain our full support despite our ideological differences with both the Altaic and the Talemantine governments. Carentanias goal - and in that it supports notions made by non-RDTO countries such as Frescania, Touzen, Euskadi or Europaland, which can hardly be seen as "Carentanian puppets" -remains the creation of lasting peace and stability in Himyar. The threat of multilateral intervention must be upheld for the peace process to achieve such, rather than degenerating into petty attempts of imperialist expansion by the victorious belligerent.

As neither Altai nor Talemantros have been contacted concerning the conference, we can only surmise that the entire meeting is little more than a conspiracy designed to put foreign boots on the ground against the consent of the governments in question or their people. Any 'peacekeeping force' which is deployed without the consent of subjected nations can be considered little more than a foreign intervention and occupation, and will be treated as such diplomatically. We suggest that the nations of Altai and Talemantros are brought into any international discussion of peace between their two nations, or else risk setting a poor precedent and treading upon a slippery slope.

Kyivan Base Scrapped Due to Rising Costs​ The Kyivan base in Western Talemantros that has sparked the ire of Carentania and others has been scrapped for the time being. Both spokesmen from the Talemantine and Kyivan armed forces announced the change of plans today citing rising costs of shipping equipment in from Kyiv as well as "other events and situations that require the immediate attention of the Kyivan state." Although the Kyivan base is now history, the construction of the base will continue to move forward. The Talemantine armed forces will be taking complete control over the construction of the base now slated for the use of the Western Army of the Talemantine Armed Forces. "Just because our friends in the north can not continue with the project does not mean that this project cannot be put to good use."

Peace Conference: Independent Zamosk Secured​ The Peace Conference held in Talemaniki to end the war between Talemantros and Altai has continued to move forward with, "speed and efficiency." Many aids inside the conference have said anonymously that both sides have agreed to an independent state of Zamosk and the defines and borders for this new state are almost concluded with. Zamosk was one of the most contentious issues of the conference and the war with the Salvationists accusing the Altaic regimes of oppression and the massacre of civilians in the Zamosk state of Malin, many of which were families of leading Salvationist members. This also comes after a conference held in Rijeka demanded that Zamosk to not receive its independence showing the globe that peace between Talemantros and Altai will be decided on their terms, not those dictated by a conference without Talemantine or Altaic input.

Commerce Secretariat Hires Danzinger Consultants​ The Secretariat of Commerce has announced the hiring of several consultants from Danzig to help the secretariat create an optimal humanitarian aid package for Altai. "While our nations were at war, that war is nearing its end and it is our duty to assist our neighbors." stated Secretary Ottavia Questi in a press conference. The new consultants are to advise the secretariat on the best ways to act in order to help Altai recover from the war. The first part of this was the purchasing of nearly half a billion EuroMarks of Altaic bonds by the Imperial Bank.

An independent Zamosk must not be the result of government officials drawing lines on the map, but can only succeed if the population is consulted in a democratic fashion. The Workers' Republic will oppose any attempt by Talemantros to create a puppet state and we believe that any autocratic Zamosk ruled over by a government that owes loyalty to the Talemantines will be a destabilizing factor in eastern Himyar and cause more misery and violence than yet seen in this war. Zamosk must be granted a democratic choice and each part of the peninsula must be allowed to choose whether they want independence at all. A peacekeeping mission of uninvolved powers must be considered to ensure an end to violence.

The news of an end of Kyivan base plans in Talemantros has been well received and will serve to ease tensions between Carentania, Talemantros and Kyiv.

Oil Giants Announce Galla-Germania Pipeline

Today two of the world's oil giants announced a joint plan to further supply the regions of Galla and Germania with oil. President of De Vesci Industries, Elisa von Nareath, announced the project with her counterpart from RusPetrol, Kyiv's main oil and gas company. The joint project will be a pipeline that will go from Eiffelland and Kyiv to Engellex and Franken. The RuVe Pipeline will be able to bring both crude and refined oil to the northern regions of Galla and Germania. "This pipeline will allow for easier service of Galla and Germania by Kyivan and Talemantine oil." Elisa said, "This will ease the price of gas by reducing the transit costs of shipping the necessary amount of oil to the region and to bypass the majority of the Long Sea shipping lanes that have currently proven to be too dangerous for shipping."

The pipeline is expected to create tens of thousands in the respected nation in which the pipeline will be built. Both companies are continuing in talks with the prospective nations involved, and are still formulating the final route to Franken that works best with the whole project and the involved nations.

De Vesci Industries Acquires Cardone Petro​ De Vesci Industries, Talemantros' leading company in Mining and oil production quietly announced the purchase of Cardone Petro, the smallest company in the Talemantine oil industry. This gives DVI the majority share of Talemantine production and shipment of oil. The purchase is expected to be approved by the Oil Commission within the week.

Treaty Signed Waits for Ratification​ The Treaty of Talemaniki, which officially ends the 4th Altaic-Talemantine War, was signed by all belligerents and now waits to be ratified by the respective nations before it goes into effect bringing peace to Himyar.

Talemantine Empire Ratifies Treaty of Talemaniki​ Today in a public ceremony Emperor Waylon X signed the ratification of the Treaty of Talemaniki that was signed over the past weekend. The Treaty of Talemaniki officially ends the fourth Talemantine-Altaic War and brings peace in Himyar. The peace comes long after the war began several months ago when the Altaic regime attacked the Talemantine allied Union of Great Engellex at the Zadar-Istria Islands as a pretext to membership in the European Defense Federation. Talemantros promptly answered the call of its ally and went to war against Altai, who's regime had only been in power for less than a month before aggressively attack Engellex. With the Salvation Army revolting in the territories of Zamosk, the Talemantine military began with success slowly continuing to advance against the Altaic forces, with first victory at sea leaving the Altaic flagship at the bottom of the ocean and further advancement into Altai. It wasn't until the Salvationist victory in Asau and their declaration of Independence did the two warring states agree to a ceasefire over the holidays that would eventually lead to the peace conference and the treaty.

At the Conference the four belligerent parties of Talemantros, Engellex, Altai, and the Salvation Army, met to find a final peace solution under the watchful eyes of observers. After a few weeks of negotiations by the parties they were able to come to a conclusion on all the issues prevalent in the war between Talemantros and Altai. The Treaty was divided into three parts, Zamosk, EDF Membership, Partnership. Firstly all parties agree to the independence of the Salvationist declared state of Zamosk and recognized the borders of the new state under the guidance of the Salvation Army led by Colonel Lucian Averin. The new state will include in its borders the Zamosk Peninsula, which will form the core of the new state, as well as the Island of Ira and the Northern half of the Island of Cala. The new borders were made to encompass all of the major Christian areas of Altai that joined the Salvationists in revolt against the Altaic governance in Altaisk.

Secondly the treaty called for the resignation of Altai from the European Defense Federation. Since the membership into the alliance was the justification and pretext for Altai's attack against Engellex who had invaded the EDF state of Montelimar. Both Talemantros and Engellex were adamant in that Altai resign from the alliance which caused them to start the war and Altai agreed to the resignation. Lastly, in order to assist with the Altaic reconstruction the three nations of Engellex, Altai, and Talemantros would enter into a Free Trade Agreement giving Altai greater ease of access to the stronger economies of Talemantros and Engellex. Also with the devastation of the Altaic military both Altai and Talemantros will enter into a defense pact with each state protecting the other from foreign aggression. With both Altai and Talemantros now ratifying the treaty the Talemantine military began its preparation to pull back to Talemantine territory. Over the next two weeks the military will begin removing equipment and men from the area pulling back to Talemantros after a victory over Altai. The last of the troops to leave Altai would be the medical corps and will return after turning over the field hospitals that were built to handle the civilians in occupied territory that had been harmed in the crossfire of war.
