Frescania is not the policeman of Himyar nor can Frescania dictate to other sovereign
nations on how they act. Altai attacked an ally of the empire and so we will defend
our ally. Altai brought this fight to Himyar not the Empire. Furthermore, any breach

The Kingdom of Suionia iterates that it sponsors the statement made by the Republic of Frescania. In unison with our Karlskrona Accord ally, our words merely echo and emphasize the Frescanian point of view. There are no policemen in Europe, merely enforcers, and the Karlskrona Accord demands peaceful resolution Himyar. Suionia finds it agreeable that Altai has agreed to peace. The fact that the Talemantine Empire has refused is shameful, and only illustrates the greed of its Empire. Our Kingdom will mirror whatever action the Republic of Frescania makes in her goals to maintain the security of Himyar.​

Altai Rejects Peace

Following the leaked documents on negotiations on peace the Secretariat of State backed away from peace talks. Since then the Secretariat has attempted to resume talks between the embattled states. Using the Talemantine mission to Nicosa to conduct the talks between the Talemantine and Altaic representatives the State Secretariat took up negotiating for a peace to the current war.

However, the negotiation has proven to be hard. Every offer presented had been rejected by the Altaics. The last offer had only two tenants 1) Altai would resigne from the EDF and 2) Altai will allow the persecuted Christian areas of Zamosk to become independent. These terms for peace were amicable and just, but rejected nonetheless.

"The Altaic government has been embolden by the statements of socialist nations of Frescania and Carentania, whose words become increasingly provocative that seeks to expand this conflict to all of Himyar. People need to be reminded that the European Defense Federation brought this conflict to our peaceful continent by conspiring with Altai to open up another front on Greater Engellex. Talemantros has only acted to defend our ally and our brothers in Christ under persecution in Zamosk. The fault lies completely with the EDF and Altai and it is now that of Altai that refuses to work towards peace and to continue this war." Secretary of State Carmine Gavallo said commenting on the refusal by Altai.

With the obstructive Altaic government the Secretariat has retreated from the diplomatic table for the foreseeable future. The State Secretariat has not ruled out a diplomatic solution to this war, but that it will no longer actively be searching for a solution until the Altaic government shows that it is ready for peace.

If the Talemantine Empire is truly interested in peace, it will sign a ceasefire, as Gorno-Altai has agreed to do, and attend peace talks moderated by Himyari powers. Carentania has demanded nothing more, nothing less. The many contradictory statements about what and what not was demanded during the direct negotiations between the warfaring states have complicated the issue and clouded the truth in mystery. They served nothing more than propaganda purposes of their respective governments. Direct negotiations between the Talemantines and the Altaic have done more harm than good.

We are outraged by the words of the Talemantine Chronicle as it is equal the fault of Altai and Talemantros because all we have done is helping our allies. The Principality being allied with the EDF and the Empire being allied with Engellex. If we think this way, the fault lies in Engellexic hands, as they were the ones invading Montelimar and the Federation.

We also see this "care" for the Christians in Altaic lands of the Empire as a waste of time, as it is used as propaganda against our government. The so called persecuted Christians were just rebels who fought against the peace and prosperity of the realm. A modern and secular state shouldn't use religion as propaganda and a cause of war. Because of actions like this, we see that some societies haven't advanced very much from the time of the Crusade, because this is the war we are fighting. A ceasefire will only allow the Altaic forces to reinforce their positions while
negotiations commence. Furthermore the continuing pattern of Altaic disruption of
peace negotiations prove that any ceasefire will only be a ruse to allow the Altaics
to bolster the front lines. Altai has been a threat to the empire for decades of
sponsoring terrorism within the borders of Talemantros. This we will never agree to
any ceasefire nor will we accept any interference of Carentania in any aspect of
these affairs.

It is evident and proper that a nation that thus ensures its own capacity and destinies is certainly not likely to forfeit its good name for such trifling advantages as would reward a breach of European peace. Why should Great Engellex wish to incur the problems of Gorno-Altai through its invasion and occupation? Why should we wish to prevent the Ministers of Saamiskavia from restoring a state of peace between themselves?

The Empire of Great Engellex can dispense with such petty intrigues, which are more suited to the bureaux of third-rate European ministers, than to the Ministers of a Kingdom conscious of the pre-eminence it occupies in Preuti-Borussia.

There was never anything substantially and intrinsically great that was not the object of jealousy, censure, and abuse, to things that are essentially small. Hence the major part of the condemnation which has lately fallen upon Great Engellex.

GENERAL STATEMENT​

The Government is appalled by the irresponsible attitude of the Altai regime, which has spurned the Talemantine proposal – which remains a fair and balanced plan, respecting the causes of all parties involved – and furthermore the outright warmongering by the Marxist regime of Carentania is disappointing to see.

The Government wishes to communicate the view of His Excellency The Chancellor of Sørlandeten that this Kingdom remains firmly committed to the cause of peace yet the actions of numerous states in Himyar has led us to fully endorse the Kyivian deployment to Talemantros. Additionally, the Government will announce that the Deputy Minister of Defence shall be visiting Talemaniki to speak with his counterpart and discuss the situation.

"The Wieser Empire is shocked and appalled by the dangerous precedent that is about to be set through the conflict between Altai and Talematros. The Principality of Altai, thus far remaining capable of prolonged fighting against the Talemantine Empire, is accused of irresponsibility when it is asked to surrender a vital part of its sovereignty - both in form of territory as well as its sovereign right of engaging in diplomatic relations.

"If the Talemantine proposal of Altai selectively abandoning its international treaty obligations goes forth, it sets forth a terrible precedent for both countries. Not only will Altai be surrendering its international unreliability by not holding up to the duties its signature offers, something that can affect finance and diplomacy, but also the Talemantine Empire is promoting such an appalling behaviour.

"His Majesty's Council of Ministers universally and unanimously condemns the inflammation of the Himyar crisis with no exceptions, including the Altaic invasion of Engellex, the Talemantine invasion of Altai, the Kyivan deployment to Talemantros, and the counter-productive international war-mongering by Cantigny, Carentania, Frescania, Sorlandeten and Suionia.

"This continued behaviour will not only further destabilise northern Himyar and ensure prolonged warfare in the region, but it will also result to thousands of deaths of innocents, a steep rise in oil prices, a decrease in fossil fuel availability, further interruptions in international commerce and trade, and the continued carnivorous and bloodthirsty actions that otherwise civilised countries have been undertaking against each other.

"The only honest and peace-loving proposal is one: a universal, unconditional ceasefire in Himyar, and engaging in mediated peace talks in the territory of a country thus far completely uninvolved from the crisis whatsoever. Anything else is a mere excuse for warfare by one side against the other, and these 'newspaper negotiations' can only promote irredeemable ideologies and shameful bloodshed.

Victories as war Rages On

Today the Navy announced its victory over the Altaic navy in the Long Sea in the second Altaic war. The victory over the Long Sea was heralded today as a triumph over where the war began. It was the nation of Altai that started this conflict when it attacked the Talemantine ally of the Union of Greater Engellex at its colony in the Zadar-Islands. The empire swiftly responded to the violent breach of the peace in the Long Sea and Himyar and defended it ally against the unprovoked attack and as the remnants of the Altaic navy retreated to Eiffelander waters the navy calls victory where the war began. The carrier fleets of the TIS Horace I and the TIS Theodora II fought valiantly suffering damage each due to suicidal pilots who crashed their planes into Talemantine ships. The TIS Theodora II, during the battles, sank the Altaic flagship NFS Czar Edvard II, pride of the Altaic navy. Even with this victory we must remember those souls that perished defending the glory of the Talemantine Empire and that of her allies. The Secretariat of War will be holding a memorial in the coming week to honor those that had fallen fighting the Altaics.

Admiral Tancredo Ulleri, commander of the Talemantine naval operations in this conflict, was in Zadarska, Zadar-Istrian Islands meeting with the Engellexic governor Lord Commissioner Byron. In addition to defending the Zadar-Istrian Islands the TIS Horace I brought with it humanitarian aid to help the devastated islands recover following the Altaic attacks. "Let the healing of these people begin and that the friendship between the Union and the Empire remain strong and united." Admiral Ulleri said while overseeing the humanitarian aid to the islands. The Talemantine victory at seas has given the Imperial navy command of the Altaic waters.

On land the war continues to rage on in the East as the Imperial Army pushes further and further into western Altai. The Eastern Army has successfully surrounded the city of Dialgorod land and have cut the city off from the rest of Altai. Dialgorod remains in control of the Dan Abari ProNat division commanded by their rutheless leader Garin. The ProNat have been know to commit barbaric acts and have proven their viciousness when the ProNat murdered innocent civilians in the Massacre of Malin in the Zamosk Peninsula. "The fanaticism of the Altaics in their holy war against civilization is ungodly and Talemantros has suffered at its hand for decades in terrorism. How can the EDF continue to battle the same fanatics under a different religion in Solaren, but then support fanatics in Himyar. This duplicity and hypocrisy is a hallmark of the EDF mentality and it will be the Talemantine Empire that removes this fanaticism from Himyar." Secretary of State Carmine Gavallo.

Kyivan Peace Talk Break Down​ Peace talks, hosted by Kyiv, between Talemantros, Engellex, and Altai Broke Down following the Altaic massacre of non-combatant civilians in the Zamosk city of Malin. This action by the ProNat to hurt the leaders of the Salvation Army that is currently fighting the regime in defense of their faith by persecution the Altaic government. The Altaic government of Tatyana I has claimed the her government nor any of the previous governments have persecuted the Orthodox Christians in Altai, but the fanatical wing of the Altaic Military, the ProNat which answer directly to the Czarina, executed this gruesome mission on women and children, her claim has found little ground. The Talemantine Orthodox Church continues to give words of hope and support to the Salvationist cause to defend their faith and condemns the actions by Altai. Talemantine special envoy sent to Kyiv to negotiate a peace walked away after the news of this dreadful act was broken by the associated press. "If Altai persists to be a nation that murders innocents then Talemantros will do what is can to protect them." Stated a State Secretariat spokesman.

Church Announces Humanitarian Efforts​ Ecumenical Patriarch of Talemaniki Bartholomew announced the creation of a new venture to fund humanitarian efforts in the occupied areas of Altai. this new effort will look to fun makeshift hospitals for civilians caught in the middle of this war. "The war is against the regime of Altai not the innocents that live there." stated the Patriarch. The church also eased fears stating that these hospitals will be open to all Altaic citizens regardless of creed or allegiance. Collections will be taken during services in all Talemantine orthodox churches across the nation to continue the humanitarian efforts for a nation waging a holy war against Talemantros. Many war hawks have called on the Patriarch to declare a holy war against Altai and the church has resisted doing so stating that this war was a war begun by attacking a Talemantine ally not over religious creeds.

Consul Continues to Condemn Altaic War​ Socialist Consul Ruberto Morbidelli once again condemned the Talemantine war against Altai. He has urged the Senate to investigate the Talemantine position in the war and to pass a motion ordering all Talemantine troops to withdraw from the war. "This war is nothing but a distraction by the Emperor and his government to change the focus from social and domestic issues. We should be working on creating a better place here not imposing our imperialism upon our neighbors. This proves that our current system ins corrupted and must be changed immediately." the consul state in an interview today. While he is consul and one of the more important government leaders, Morbidelli's office has no ability to effect the current foreign and war policies. Morbidelli has called on his socialist followers to gather in Talemaniki and hold a protest against the war and force the Senate to overrule the emperor.

Government Welcomes Kyivan Decrees​ The imperial chamberlain announced that the palace welcomes the decrees by the state of Kyiv recognizing the emperor and the Patriarch as the leaders of the Holy Orthodox Church. Since the rise of Christianity in the Tiburan Empire, being legalized by Horace the Great and made the official religion by Theodore I, there has been a unique relationship between the emperor and the Patriarch of Talemaniki. While the Patriarchs have been the spiritual leader of the church the emperors have been its guardian, claiming a mandate to protect Orthodox Christians no matter where they are. As a major Orthodox nation the Patriarch has announced a plan visit to the faithful in Kyiv to honor their support for the sacred church offices.

Christmas Armistice Arranged as Salvationists Declare Independence

Today the Secretariat of War announced that the Empire and Altai have agreed to an armistice over the holidays. The agreement comes after an intense round of negotiations between the deputy Secretary of State and the Altaic Ambassador to Talemaniki as the war flows into the holidays. The armistice covers both the Altaic and Talemantine forces as well as the newly independent state in Asau and it will last from December 25th through midnight January 1st out of respect for the religious and celebratory season. In addition to the armistice both sides have agreed to the creation of a demilitarized refugee zone centered around the town of Alesd in which no Talemantine or Altaic military personnel will be allowed to violate. The demilitarized zone is to be manages solely by the forces of Vangala and an EDF nation of the choosing of the government in Altaisk. The agreement also stated that this demilitarized zone would remain throughout the duration of the war and until a peace treaty is signed. The spokesman for the Ecumenical Patriarch stated that the collections to humanitarian aid in the effected areas will be donated to the refugee cause in the demilitarized zone and will begin holding food drives to send the missions supplies and food for the refuges in the new zone.

Many on both sides of the war have called this the first step toward finding a peace agreement between the two embattled nations, but they should not considered peace a done deal. "There are many issues that need to be resolved between Talemantros and Altai, but that does not mean our sides cannot find common ground to work from." stated an anonymous source close to the State Secretariat leadership.

Also the Secretariat of State announced the recognition and support for the independent state set up in Asau. Following the town falling to Salvationist forces the new authorities announced the independence of the new state realizing the goal of the Salvationists since the beginning of the uprising years previously. The Talemantine Empire will lend their support to the new state and help protect their independence from foreign aggression. The State Secretariat has announced that is plans to send a preliminary diplomatic team to the city of Asau.

Frescania will not recognize any regime established by Talemantros, with this being an obvious attempt to establish a satellite regime in Altai. We once again call upon the cease of the conflict once and for all. Himyar will not tolerate the continuation of this war for much longer.

Peace in Himyar?

Following nearly two days of talks it appears that a break in the diplomatic stalemate between Altai and Talemantros has been overcome and allow the paving for a lasting peace in the region. This comes after the State Secretariat recently rebuked the foreign corps of Carentania for taking the credit for the peace efforts between Talemantros and Altai claiming they were responsible for the end of the conflict. The State Secretariat has repeatedly stated that Altaic and Talemantros will find their own path towards peace outside the preconceived biases of the Worker's Republic. Despite Carentania's meddling in Talemantine and Altaic affairs the peace process continued on regardless of the several setbacks of the Altaic's execution of Salvationist Archbishop Danilov.

The diplomats have agreed to a time table for peace talks: first, the armistice will be extended beyond the expiration date to Jan 14th. Secondly, the diplomats will suspend talks over the holiday and there will be convened a peace conference in Talemaniki, between representatives of the Talemantine Empire, Altai, Great Engellex, and the Salvationist Army, with the aim to finalize the aspects of a lasting peace treaty. Third parties may be allowed to observe at the invitation of one of the four participating parties.

The Second Jurzani Republic is happy to see that the Talemantines have, in some regard, ceased their imperialistic tendencies and are working towards a peace treaty to end the bloodshed on this continent. It is our deepest hope that the Talemantines do not act imperialistic and unfair in these peace negotiations. It should be noted that if these peace talks fall through due to any action by Talemantros that blatantly disregards the sovereignty of Altai, the Second Jurzani Republic will see Talemantros as not being willing to form peace but rather to extend their influence into independent nations. It should also be noted that the Republic supports and concurs with Carentania and Frescania in the regard that no puppet state formed by Talemantros will be recognized by this government.

Again, we do hope that war can be ended on this continent, but we are prepared for it not to.
