2 Days until Test Launch
​

The test launch is still set for October 18th, according to a statement made by the GRfA 2 days ago. With an increased federal budget dedicated to GRfA, many officials are expecting very successful results. The recent modifications to the Stargazer Rocket, dubbed Stargazer II, should prove to advance the positives of the spacecraft and to fix problems found on the previous model. With the modifications made and the test date finalized, we shall be able to continue the exploration into outer space and all the things that inhabit it.

Stargazer II Launch a Success!
​

The Stargazer II has successfully launched and is currently in Earth's Orbit, according to footage aired by GRfA currently. With the rocket successfully stabilized in Earth's Orbit, they are able to conduct experiments that are impossible to conduct on Earth. These experiments are vital in furthering space exploration and making space travel more practical and safer, according to a press conference that was held yesterday by GRfA. With the launch being a success, and reentry set for 6 PM, this will serve as a benchmark for Geotrian space travel.

Stargazer II and Whats Next
​

With the successful launch and landing of the rocket, Stargazer II, many people are looking at GRfA for their next step forward. And its next step is to devote more resources and attention towards the ISC, International Space Cooperative. "With only recently accepting membership, there has been little time or resources that we could dedicate to the Cooperative. We were waiting for launch of Stargazer II to begin giving this wonderful international organization the attention it deserves." Dr. Eckherd Stangle said in a press statement late last night, after the reentry and acquisition of the Stargazer II.

Today, October 19th, is the 21st birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Leopold Wächtler II. He announced, in a statement last week, a private party, consisting of other noble houses, family, and friends. Currently the Prince Leopold Wächtler II is attending university, the location and name of which has not yet been released to the public. While the whereabouts of Prince Leopold Wächtler II are a closely held secret, more than likely to keep unwanted attention away from him so he can focus on his studies. Whatever the reason for quietness, we wish His Royal Highness Prince Leopold Wächtler II a happy, special birthday.

Construction unearths Ancient Tomb​

During construction in downtown Brakw, they accidentally unearthed what appears to be an ancient tomb. With archaeologists from the University of Brakw currently at the site investigating the tomb, Head Director of the Department of History and Archaeology Sandra Essen has released some information as to what they have found out about the tomb so far. "With investigation only starting on the 20th, not much has been found that can be released to the press. However, with what we have found we have been able to deduce that the tomb was constructed during the reign of König Wilhelm Kreitzberg II. Which for those who don't know was during the years 1114 AD to 1134 AD. This however, is all we can say that we can definitely say is true and accurate."

Ancient Tomb is actually the Tomb of König Wilhelm Kreitsberg II​

The ancient tomb uncovered during construction on the 20th is reported to be the final resting place for König Wilhelm Kreitzberg II, according to a statement released by the Head Director of the Department of History and Archaeology Sandra Essen. "This is an astonishing find, with the remnants of various jewels and swords buried with the König Wilhelm Kreitzberg II we can begin to further develop and learn more about the later years of the monarchy before its dissolution. Many documents and sites were destroyed following the dissolution of the monarchy and resulted in a lot of the information we had being lost, this find however lets us fill in the gaps of the happenings of the time period."

Currently they have stated that they have found artifacts ranging from scrolls and maps depicting the grandeur of Geotri at the time to a small fortune of gold and valuables to several sets of armor. With these many artifacts we can advance the once lost knowledge of our past, hopefully we may discover other sites and continue the quest to learn more about our past.

Is It Safe to Travel abroad?
​

With continuing reports from the Frontier Lands concerning "Tiburan Terrorist Activities," the question has risen. Is it safe to travel abroad? The answer for most is yes, however for some it is recommended that they remain home and not to travel outside Geotri. "While we will not restrict travel to certain nations, we will strongly urge travelers to consider where they're travelling. An example would be a follower of Tiburan Catholicism traveling to the Frontier Land, where they may run risk of being ostracized and targeted for affiliation by religion to the terrorist organization threatening the safety of the region," in a statement made earlier this week by Senator of the Unterhaus Edda Pfennig. With the safety of the peoples of Geotri abroad, they have also urged those in potential risk for being wrongly targeted to return home according to another statement released by another group of senators. All eyes are on the Frontier Lands, and how they deal with these terrorists threatening them.

Terror Strikes Racow!
​

Pure chaos.
These are the words used by a victim of the car bomb that went off at approximately 6:00 PM Thursday, outside the Unterhaus, wounding twenty three and killing seven. Among the dead was Senator Edda Pfennig, who made a statement regarding the recent terrorist attacks plaguing the Frontier Lands. With the investigation still ongoing, few details have been released by police. All that they have told us is that the bomber/s are still at large, and have locked down several blocks of Racow in hopes of catching and apprehending the bomber/s.

HRM King Wilhelm Wächtler IV has announced that all flags are to flown at half-mast, also within the same announcement he has also applauded the "Valiant effort of the police officers, who are working diligently to catch those responsible for committing these horrific acts. I will ensure that they will face maximum punishment for the deaths of seven people and wounding twenty plus more."

With a cry of vengeance on the streets, it is only a matter of time before the monsters are caught.

Bombers Apprehended!
​

The bombers who set off a car bomb on Thursday the twenty sixth have been apprehended by officials, according to a statement made by Police Chief Ehrenberg this morning. "After a prolonged firefight between the two bombers and several police officers early this morning, they were able to subdue and arrest the bombers. Found on the bombers were pipe bombs and two rifles, currently we are tracking down where these were purchased. The lock down will continue for another day while we interrogate the bombers to confirm they are the only ones."

Many are still mourning but for many, they can sleep easy knowing these horrid monsters are behind iron bars.

Companies Report Largest Holiday Season in Over Thirty Years
​

With several important holidays coming up, like All Hallows Eve and Martinstag, many people are preparing for several feasts and festivals. Several companies have reported the largest surge in sales during the Holiday Season, which runs from October to February, so far. With more and more families embracing a more liberalized view on religion and customs, many are choosing to celebrate with parties, festivals, and purchasing costumes. Many of these companies haven't seen this large of a surge since the fall of the VSP and their cruel, oppressive regime.

And many economists have breathed a sigh of relief, "After observing the trends of the market in the past 40 years, and we have noticed that while the economy has been growing it has been almost flat-lined for most of it with very little substantial growth. With the latest surge of holiday shopping the past few years it has shown two things, the first is that our economy is starting to improve substantially, and the second thing is that consumerism is on a rise. Consumerism in Geotri has always been there, however large companies have always been in small number. Recently however, not as many companies are being founded in the past five years, however companies founded in the late 1980's and the entirety of the 1990's have survived easier than past companies due to the rise in consumerism."

War on Drugs?
​

With a statement made by Kashtanese officials in regards to the spread of the illegal drug trade leaking over into the Gallo-Germania area and its continued non-involvement stance on the international drug trade what has the Geotrian government done in regards to curbing already high amounts of illegal drug usage? The answer is the same as always, they haven't seemed to increase any effort in the past two decades. Since the late 1980's and early 1990's opiates and other designer drug usage has risen significantly, especially in major urban centers. And the continued illegal use of the marijuana plant for recreational uses, which has been a problem since the 1920's, has also risen though not as significantly as these new designer drugs.

Current pressure is being put on the government, by both local police departments and lobbyists, to increase efforts in cracking down on the illegal drug trade. Currently there are also reports within the Unterhaus that they may be pushing for legislation to be proposed to increase the efforts of local law enforcement in tracking down illegal drug exchanges and persecuting criminals for participating in the drug trade.

The Independent Democratic Republic would like to seek clarification from its Geotrian partners whether there are concerns about the way the IDRK has been conducting its merciless suppression of international drug thuggery. The IDRK is a responsible and proactive actor on the international stage that is doing its utmost to stem the narcotic tide, and we take accusations that the Kashtanese people are in any way implicated in the detrimental development of the peoples of Europe very seriously.

Ultimately, the President's analytical truths show us the way that only autarchic solutions can guarantee the safety of any particular popular body, and it is in this spirit that we encourage the Geotrian authorities to rid themselves of the pill-dosed pestilence while always offering our hand in sincere friendship.
