"PEACE MUST BE OUR FIRST PRIORITY."

"Peace must be our first priority, but for there to be peace, one must prepare for war." The Director of Foreign Affairs, Autumn Viklund was quoted as saying when asked for an update on the Dano-Sylvanian crisis. When asked what she meant by her statement she had this to say: "I would love nothing more than to sit at the negotiating table with the Danes, to work out a way to better our strained and heated relations. However the onus is on them to pick the time and place, I can only offer up my availability for such an event. Until then we continue to build our defensive capabilities so that we are not taken by surprise when they strike at us physically. We shall walk with an olive branch in one hand and a rifle slung over our shoulders, ever ready for what awaits us."

Though peace is touted as a priority, the Continental Congress is hard at work deliberating military action, certainly a casus belli is there for military action and with the military at its highest alert phase it is hard to see war not being the outcome of this situation. Looking at the situation in Danmark it is difficult to see any sort of peace action coming from the Danes either, with their government dissolved and elections on the horizon it could be said to look like a non-issue to the Danes as well. In fact reported mentions of Sylvania and the crisis where along the lines of an outburst in parliament where a member described Foreign Affairs Director Autumn Viklund as
"that slut of Sylvania" and that she "likely spent most of her time strewn across a table with legs splayed for promotion" When asked for a commend the Director had this to say:

"Truly I am more disappointed that during these trying times the Tribune saw fit to reprint these disgusting remarks. Regardless, I won't let the remark of one member paint a bad picture of the rest of them. I know in my heart that there are peace loving people in their government who wish to do everything they can to avoid war, just like there are many here in Sylvania who wish to avoid war. Once again I must state that peace must be our first priority in these coming days."

"HAWKINS AND MIRANDA AVIATION COMPLETE MERGER, ANNOUNCE NEW AIRCRAFT"

In a surprise turn of events in the world of aviation both the famed Hawkins and Miranda aviation corporations have merged to form the Hawkins-Miranda Aviation Group. Along with announcement a new carrier based jet fighter aircraft was announced in tandem:

[/URL]
The F-115 Sea Tiger prototype in-flight

"We at the Hawkins - Miranda Aviation Group are proud to announce the F-115 Sea Tiger for use on the Navy's fleet carriers. The F-115 is representative of Sylvania's race to modernize it's military and we believe that we have finally bridged the gap between us and our adversaries. Prior to the merger Hawkins Aviation has been developing, in association with DRAD (Department of Research and Development), the F-115, prototyping and flight testing the new fighter jet. Our advancements would still be far off if it was not for the government's negotiating prowess and the help of Ostveg's prior research. Our newly combined company has many more surprises coming so stay tuned!"
- Albert Hawkins, CEO of Hawkins-Miranda Aviation Group

The F-115 is still in testing but their engineers say that with the Navy's approval the new F-115 Sea Tiger can go into production within the month. The Navy has taken great interest and with the potential of conflict looming on the horizon are most likely to get funding from the government to purchase the new fighter aircraft from Hawkins-Miranda.

RYGAARD DECREASES MILITARY ALERT, CONTINENTAL MARINES STILL ON HIGH ALERT.

President Rygaard announced his decision to decrease the overall military alert status from full alert despite the ongoing crisis, however the Continental Marines still remains on high alert after the shooting down of a Danish Spy plane near Duquesne and the Army Air Corps is still conducting heightened high altitude patrols along Sylvanian's borders and in critical military locations. The aircraft that was shot down and recovered along with the one body and an unconscious Danish airman was painstakingly reconstructed in hopes of finding the camera and the pictures taken. However the spy plane's film was destroyed by sea water and the Danish Airman is still in a coma in a undisclosed Duquesne military hospital.

Things are returning to a new normal in Sylvania after the start of the Dano-Sylvanian Crisis, enlistment numbers are up and the government is enjoying a resurgence in the popularity in the military. Where before many citizens where suspicious of Rygaard's "paranoid" build up of the military, now they are in almost full acceptance, the president's paranoia now given validity by Danish aggression against the Sylvanian state. With a Danish invasion still a potential threat to the Sylvanian homeland, the major cities and towns of Sylvania have been fortifying their defenses anti-aircraft weapons and army garrisons. Coastal defenses are also on the list to be re-activated with the deployment of mobile artillery to what could be used as amphibious landing points and the construction of coastal artillery guns that could be used to fire on enemy ships. With the military having it's hands full with deploying defenses and training, civilian militias and non-militia citizens have been lending a hand in the construction and deployment of defense armaments. School children are conducting air raid drills, hiding under desks or in windowless hallways at the sounding of an air raid siren.

Last night Baldwin-Whitehall, Sylvania's largest city and most vital port was blacked out as air raid sirens screeched a song of warning to all who could hear, this is the new normal in Sylvania, so long as the threat of the Dano-Sylvanian Crisis continues. Attempts to negotiate have been described by government officials as "mind-numbingly" slow due to the Danish government ceasing to be, with elections on the way, Sylvanian's wonder who they will be dealing with when the Danes finally do come to the negotiating table. However, while the Danish government reconstructs itself the Danish King traveled to Ivernia to speak with the Ivernian King in what they describe as a "talk that will change the face of the west." One would not expect the Danish King to bother with a discussion that actually has Sylvania and her allies at the table, but the insult is all the same. There are fears that the Ivernians may be drawn into the crisis itself and in turn a war, why else would these talks change the face of the west if it was not a strategy brainstorming session on how to contain and eliminate the threat of Sylvania as the Danes see us?

Regardless the President has personally contacted the Ivernian foreign minister in Sylvania and demanded that they pass a message to the Danish Crown demanding that the king command his government to open diplomatic negotiations with the Sylvanians or else face an even tougher escape from the crisis.

RYGAARD ANNOUNCES DIPLOMATIC TRIP TO OSTVEG

Nobody can deny the assistance given by the Austwegians in Sylvania's time of need, it is with this notion that President Sander Rygaard announced that he will be leaving tomorrow morning by airplane to visit Ostveg and personally give thanks to the Austwegian Crown, government and people. The president plans on conducting several speeches as well as reading an open letter that he hopes the King of the Danes may hear in Ivernia. Included in the plans is a re-affirmation of the alliance between Ostveg and Sylvania and plans to strengthen it as well as strengthen ties with the Austwegian people by showing his face and speaking in the country.

The alliance with Ostveg is Sylvania's first in many a year and a special relationship is growing between the two countries after the end of the succession crisis. The Sylvanian success in the Succession crisis is an example of Rygaard's latest quote: "If one wants there to be peace, one must prepare for war." It is this hard power strategy, along with help from the Frescanians, that peacefully ended the succession crisis and blocked the Danish government from regaining control of the now defunct crown of The Agderike.

DIRECTORS VIKLUND AND FAULKNER SUCCESSFUL IN PUERTO CLAVE

Heredia, Puerto Clave - After a long but successful bout of negotiations Director of Foreign Affairs Autumn Viklund and Director of Defense Elliot Faulkner have announced that Sylvania has acquired use of the San Vincente Port, Puerto Clave's largest port, for the Sylvanian Navy. After publicly thanking Foreign Minister Hernandez for his cooperation in the negotiations, Elliot Faulkner announced that five ships would be stationed in Puerto Clave over the next few months, including the soon to be finished Fleet Carrier Adrienne. The negotiations are part of a diplomatic blitz to acquire the cooperation of Occidentian nations against what Director Viklund has called 'the occupation of the Faerornes' by non-occidentian peoples. Included in the deal is permission to build a military base and garrison it with up to 10,000 men if need be. The base will be a joint Army-Navy-Marine operation for southern Occidentia and to protect Sylvanian's growing Occidentian sphere of influence.

This growing sphere of influence is due to and part of what some have unofficially called the 'Rygaard Doctrine' as the President extends hand across the continent and solidify Sylvania's presence as a Continental power and peace keeper. Though keeping Old World powers from influencing Occidentia militarily was never and is not one of the President's goals
it may be forced upon the President and the nation to adopt that goal as Danmark continues to increase its level of belligerence against Sylvania and Danmark is using Occidentian land to do so.

"The Faerornes are part of Occidentia and Danmark's use of the islands as a place where they can strike fear into us and cause strife in this continent of peace is the greatest insult to not only the Sylvanian people, but to all Occidentian Republics. If Danmark will not stop denying us peace and comfort from this little archipelgo then we as a continent must rise up, eject the imperialist and restore order to the Continent of Peace. It is our duty to do so and I shall not rest until either peace is made our other means bring us to completing our goal." -President Sander Rygaard.

Director Viklund will now be traveling to the island nation of Tulus and Biminis near the Faerornes to discuss economy and possibly loaning space for an airbase for the Sylvanian Army Air Corps, while the Director of Defense will be returning to oversee the construction of coastal defenses in Sylvania.

STORM FORCES RYGAARD TO TAKE SHELTER IN FEY

President Rygaard's return flight from Ostveg which was supposed to be in Charleroi today made an unexpected diversion to Festning Ingaborg in Fey after encountering what the pilot described as "a huge storm front that spanned for what looked like forever." The President who is now safe in Fey and will be departing tomorrow took the time to rest and meet a few of the hardy people of Fey, a people known to be stalwart republicans. Fey was instrumental in the survival of many Sylvanian's who weathered the storm of the century that hit in Sylvania and wiped out many food stockpiles, graciously agreeing to a hastily made decision to trade fish for a much needed cash injection into the Fey economy.

With the composure, necessary deliberative thought, gravitas and striken onus upon one's cognisance, on behalf the Empire and Kingdom, and facilitated through democratic will in the Folkhuset, ~ the House of the People, or Parliament ~ I am permitted to address you, Hr Sander Rygaard, in person.

The Parliament has desired that I, the Foreign Minister of this Empire and Kingdom, communicate directly to you.

The Danish Empire desires a more concreted manner within which to conduct dialogue between our respective spheres and interests. As such, as a commencement and with open honesty, the Empire and Kingdom recommends the re-opening of ambassadorial establishments within which to conduct proper dialogue than through third parties.

I am sure that this is desired by all, Danes and Sylvanians, and it should pave the way to a more cemented understanding in the arena of bilateral, not to mention international, relations.

The reestablishment of direct relations should prove a manner within which to go on for future dialogue.

One condition is that the Sylanian state rescind the diatribes directed at His Majesty the King and Emperor.

FROM THE DESK OF THE EXECUTIVE
CONTINENTAL REPUBLIC OF SYLVANIA

Reopening our embassies would be most agreeable and should be the first steps our two nations take toward establishing peace, but know that these steps are considered 'baby steps' in terms of the size and scope of the work that will be needed to make relations anything close to amiable. Tomorrow I shall use executive action to issue new diplomatic visas to whoever you choose for your diplomatic corps and shall have the facilities your people previously occupied prepared for their arrival. We look forward to working toward a peaceful resolution to this diplomatic crisis.

President of the Continental Republic

DANISH EMBASSY REOPENED; A PATH TO PEACE OPENS.

In a surprising turn of events the President announced that the Danish embassy would be reopened by executive order and new diplomatic visas would be issued for the use of the Danish mission to Sylvania. Prior to the announcement the Danish embassy had been closed after for many months during the rise in tensions between the two governments. This is what is considered the first steps to bringing the two nations to the table to negotiate the terrible relations between the two countries. The Director of Foreign Affairs, Autumn Viklund, cancelled her trip to Tulus and Biminis to begin formulating Sylvanian strategy for negotiations that will surely follow, leaving the talks with Tulus and Biminis to the Assistant Director. Director Viklund was intercepted in the Charleroi Aerodrome today after deplaning from the aircraft that ferried her back to Sylvania and was asked for comment on the situation:

"I do expect that there will be negotiations soon, however this is a sensitive matter and I will not say anymore on the subject of what may be broached at a potential negotiation. The President is dead set on resolving this crisis peacefully and this is all part of our plans to avoid war with Danmark. This is all still early as you all know, our own diplomatic corps has yet to arrive in Danmark and theirs has yet to arrive in Charleroi. Anything and everything on the subject of peace negotiations with Danmark is speculation and when we have an official stance to work with we will let the people know. Until then no further comments will be made by me or my staff." - Autumn Viklund, Director of Foreign Affairs

Despite Director Viklund's tight lips on the subject of peace negotiations we were able to confirm that the previous Ambassador to Danmark, Quincy Jensen, will be returning to Christiansborg to resume his duties as Ambassador to Danmark. We were also able to confirm that Sir Einar Aage Hjort-Lang will be arriving in Charleroi as the new Danish Ambassador to Sylvania. The President is expected to call upon the Danish Ambassador to discuss setting up negotiations as soon as he is settled in and ready to perform his duties.

HAWKINS - MIRANDA AVIATION BEGINS PRODUCTION ON JET FIGHTERS

Finally Sylvania has been brought fully into the jet age as the Hawkins -Miranda Aviation Group begins assembly of the Austwegian Flaskan fighter jet. The jet, which has been redubbed the F-70 Cigar, was part of the Austwegian debt repayment to the Sylvanian government which forgave their debts in exchange for the technical plans for the Flaskan and for all Austwegian jet engine research. The deal advanced the Sylvanian aviation industry by almost ten years bringing the country, which had severly lagged behind in aviation technology, in line with other european powers. The aviation company stated that once everything is straightened out in its new production facility they will be able to produce 30 F-70's a month, currently the Army Air Corps has put in an order for 100 so far, but the Air Corps has been alloted funds to purchase up to 500 should the need arise.

Currently Hawkins - Miranda's own in house built F-115 Sea Tiger is nearing the end of it's testing phase and is scheduled for production in mid may, currently the company is tasking and retooling it's production facilities in Rossetter near Charleroi for production of the F-115. The Continental Navy has already orderd 150 after Navy officials were impressed with its discovered capabilites during testing. Hawkins - Miranda has ceased all production of its A2 Ocelot piston powered fighter and is currently creating plans to retool all A2 Ocelot production facilities to either produce the F-70 or the F-115.

SUBJECT: Re-opening of the Danish Embassy in Charleroi

The Imperial Government is pleased to note the normalisation of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Danmark and Continental Republic of Sylvania. It is our hope that in the future, it is realised that the presence of diplomatic missions is a boon for efforts to maintain stable relationships between capitals, especially in times of discord and tension.

GOVERNMENT OF
TULUS AND BIMINIS

BUREAU OF
FOREIGN AND
MARITIME AFFAIRS

Sun-filled greetings,

The Commonwealth of Tulus and Biminis is most pleased to hear that the Sylvanians and Danes are taking further steps towards resolving their diplomatic troubles. It is reassuring to see that responsible governments are willing and able to use diplomacy as the primary means for resolving disputes of all degrees and sizes. We of course understand the need for the Sylvanian Director of Foreign Affairs to attend these very crucial meetings and look forward nonetheless to fruitful discussions with the Assistant Director. Should the Sylvanian or Danish diplomatic services require or prefer a neutral meeting place at any time to carry on with their discussions, I am happy to offer Port Royal as a comfortable venue. Or, if more privacy and peace is preferred, many of our Outer Islands offer the perfect setting for meetings of such a high and delicate level.

With sincere regards,

COMMUNISM, MONARCHISM AND THE FREE MAN.
Congressman John Harvey, 1954 presidential candidate

Communism is on the rise and there is no stopping its advance, it threatens many in this world with its growth and will continue to do so for many a year. What are we to do? How can we stop this dangerous ideology? These are the questions many men ask in the halls of their governments and in their beds as they lie awake at night, racked with worry. These men who pose the questions in their limited view advocate war, counter-revolution, subversion and all sorts of other violent actions that only serve to bring pain and suffering. Yet, to understand the thinking of these men, we must understand how this phantom menace called communism came about. Where it started; how it grew; why it is so popular. We must look at history and the conditions of the people who propped up this ideology as their only savior. We must look at the menace that threatens us, monarchism, for it is the main component of the rapid change that has occurred.

In the old world, monarchism still holds a great and
terrible power over its people. The old families maintain an iron grip over the territory and they are willing to plunge the world into chaos to keep it that way. They are different, some are constitutional while others are absolute in their power and yet they all hold a common fact just like all communist held nations all hold a common beginning. Most if not all communist nations were born from the ashes of their previous monarchies and it is the monarchies of today that are threatened by the spread of communism. It is in the oppressive borders of monarchies, where once free souls are now slaves to their highborn masters, their serfs, destined to till their master's fields for eternity that communism thrives. Communism easily latches onto the broken mind of the peasants who wish to taste freedom in earnest and no longer be forced to pledge fealty to those who were lucky to be born in a high place.

The greatest and most current example is Imperial Yujin, while the emperor's forces crack down heavily upon his peasants
, the people are more and more drawn to the promises a communist society makes. They yearn for freedom so badly that they accept communism without question and make themselves readily available to fight against the forces of their imperial masters. Despite this the monarch continues to tighten his grip, refusing to see how easily whole towns, cities and even provinces slip from his grip and join the forces of the communist revolt. Meanwhile, the communist nations continue to pump their ideology directly into the minds of the peasant, providing them with weapons to fight with and food to eat. Their political officers join the ranks of the peasants, these officers once peasants themselves and in these ranks they provide encouragement to whatever rag tag band of fighters they have been assigned to. The monarch will do everything in his power to shield his people from the news of the spread of this wild ideology, he starts wars with other nations, manipulates the media and attempts to either entertain or crush the populace into submission. In the end however it always fails and the once powerful monarchist nation is now another source of rank and file soldiers ready to spread communism to the nearest monarchy in their way.

In Sylvania and other nations of truly free men you do not see this wildfire ideology spread, for their governments have already provided the people with an opportunity to be an individual free of the crushing oppression of a ruling family or council of kings. This is why communism, though proclaimed to be a threat to the whole world, is really only a threat to the forces of monarchism. The monarchists will be swept away in this red tide because their people, so sick of oppression and so passionate in their desire to dismantle, will rise up and where there is revolution, communism is sure to follow. This is because the peasants cannot fathom what it is to be truly free and when they are faced with the stark reality of the difficulties men face in their path to true individual freedom, they turn to the easy and popular group-think of the communist ideology. It is not easy being free for you are responsible for your own actions and must face the difficulties of the repercussions these actions create. Where once the monarchy provided for the people in exchange for their loyalty and submission now communism shall provide for them in exchange for their loyalty to the group. Because why start down the path of individual freedom when an all encompassing and all powerful entity shall take you into their arms and provide for you or make you safe again.

So dear people of Sylvania, dear people of the free world. Do not answer the call of these monarchists, do not be fooled into thinking that communism threatens you, because it cannot; for a truly free thinking and free living individual, unhindered by the state cannot be swayed to join into the 'global revolution' that is called communism. To combat this non-threat would violate the concept of non-aggression that we Sylvanians take so seriously and make us no better than the greedy monarchies that continue to enslave their people.

WE SHOULD COME OUT SWINGING!
By Marlon Daugherty

As we all know our government is preparing to enter into peace talks with Danmark, the specifics are not know yet but they will come out soon. Many Sylvanians and myself included have serious reservations about deescalating the tension we are experiencing right now, keep in mind that this tension is all the fault of foreign nations like Danmark. Any sort of peace deal would only serve to hurt our position in the Occident, that much is self evident. It is as if President Rygaard forgot what he himself has said, that Danmark is currently the center of a large axis of fascist-monarchist nations that will no doubt be a major source of violence and suffering in the future. To remind the President I shall list off these fascist nations in hopes that it will jar his memory: Danmark, The Mezhist Union, Ivernia and Sikandara. These are dangerous nations and they should not be taken lightly and anything they state should be viewed as a lie unless it is verified true, but even in that case there should be absolutely no trusting of these nations or their politicians. Let us also not forget that though the nations that Danmark surrounds itself with are for the most part staunchly anti-communist, Danmark itself has no qualms with forging military ties and economic ties with the communists, nations like Kyiv and Parthava. What does this prove? It proves that Danmark is a nation without any sort of principles to fall back on and a nation without principle and a nation with principle (Sylvania) will subvert and manipulate the nation with principle every time when it comes negotiating. It is the way of things and one should never expect this to change, it is like a man without values taking advantage of the kind-hearted man with good values, the kind-hearted man loses out every time and comes away from the encounter with less.

So why are we going to allow ourselves to be taken advantage of like this? Why bother with repairing our relations with Danmark? These questions can be answered simply: Sylvanians are in their nature people of peace, our past is marred with mistakes and violence, but now in the presence we yearn for peace. Even the president, who has been pushing for a stronger military for a long while now wants only peace and for his people to continue to pursue their individual goals
, it is the Sylvanian way and it will never change. Though we should want peace and prosperity, there will always be those who will be in direct competition with us, people who will fight us at every turn and view us with suspicion. Normalization of our relations will not change the fact that Danmark is a nation of subversives who will continue to attempt to destabilize Sylvania and our allies, no amount of peace talks, treaties and accords will change that and what we will have is a standoff between us.

This is why we must come out swinging, the spy plane was a direct attack upon our security and as I write this I would not be surprised if they are attempting another fly over right now, though we are a kind and peaceful people, it is time to stand up and beat away these vile creatures and secure our homeland from further incursion. Peace accords will only serve to weaken the gains we have already made, make no mistake, the Dane is a man who can and will wait patiently for months, maybe years before enacting their grand scheme all the while playing the part of one who made agreements at a false peace negotiation. We must make our strike now or be swept away when we disarm ourselves after we have been lulled into a false sense of security. Let us not forget the saying we were all taught as school children. "The tree of peace must be refreshed at times with the blood and flesh of tyrants." So Mr. President, let us come out swinging and give the Danes whats for; there is no need to fear violating our precious non-aggression principle for our neutrality has already been violated by Danmark and it is time we make our response.

THE FENNIAN QUESTION

After a long silence the Fennian Union has once again cropped up in the sphere of international happenings with their stance on Sylvanian and Frescanian participation in crisis that brought about the succession of the Austwegian state over Agder. The Fennian Union has thrown many baseless accusations at the feet of Sylvania and has put into question the interest of Sylvania in the freedom of Ostveg. In Sylvania and Ostveg however there is no doubt that the intervention was done for the express purpose of liberating the down trodden people of the north from Danish oppression and it is because of the Sylvanians that Ostveg remains free today. But now that freedom is in danger as the Fennians begin to modernize and expand the size of their military whilst simultaneously demanding that Ostveg recognize Vesterålen, stolen by the Fennians from the now defunct Agderike, as part of Fennian territory in exchange for Fennia's recognition of Ostveg as a legitimate government and nation. The message is brutally clear that Fennia fears the freedom of the Austwegian people and is now attempting to bully them into submission, should that not work once their military is up to the task, they will no doubt force themselves upon Ostveg and make them see it their way.

The Continental Congress has remain quiet on the issue, but it is apparent they are deliberating these events carefully. There is no doubt in the minds of Sylvanians however when The Stateholder General of Fennia considers the Danes as "
beacon of civilized governance and policy," that the Fennians would undo what Sylvania and Ostveg have gained if it would please their hidden master, Danmark. Once again the cabal of nations that have pledged for Danmark grows with the addition of another fascist, hate mongering nation. The possibility of a clash in the international sphere of diplomacy between Sylvania and Fennia is growing ever close, however unlike the Fennians, the Sylvanian government, which has become quiet visible to the world is holding its tounge; though it is most likely that they will support the Austwegian claim over Vesterålen once an announcement is made.

Embassy of the Fennian Union to Charleroi
Letter to the Editor of "Charleroi Tribune Review"

As someone well versed in recent Fennian and Scanian history, and also in my capacity as a representative of the Fennian government and people in Sylvania, I find the recent Fennia- specific reporting on behalf of Charleroi Tribune Review to be not only heavily inaccurate in facts, but also laden with populist rhetoric unconductive to reducing international political tensions in an already tumultous period of European history.

First, your writer has ignored in a most blatant and obvious manner the two basic facts of the Fennian-Agder War. Primarily, that the Kingdom of Agderike in itself was the aggressor of that conflict, its monarch feeling threatened by the prospect of the emergence of an unified Fennian nationstate and choosing the opportunity - in a time when the Fennian Unification Wars were still at full swing - to deprive the Fennian people of its unification and to enslave them as the subjects of a foreign monarch.

Second, that prior to the Fennian-Agder War the territory of Malminmaa - referred to as Vesterålen by your paper - was already home to a significant Fennian community whom the Agder had deprived of their historical rights and of their sacred communion with their cousins who were now in the process of crafting an unified nation out of a period rife with dynastic struggle and chaos. Agder bloodthirst was the Fennian casus belli of that war, and the moral justification for the territorial changes that took place were in form of the cultural, national and political deprivation of those Fennians the Agder king of that time called as his subject.

Third, that it would be purely absurd for a sovereign Fennian government to be in recognition of a polity claiming sovereignity over Fennian territory. That would, after all, imply Fennian recognition of foreign sovereignity over the Union in itself. Equally absurd is the notion that foreigners now see fit to dictate which nation Fennians should be a part of, as if that were not the decision of the Fennian people in itself. Such an idea, frankly, is an insult of scandalous proportions upon the face of the Fennian people, as a wet towel thrown in one's face.

Fourth, it is extremely interesting that in a writing aiming to refute His Excellency the Stateholder General's suggestion of Frescano-Sylvanian interventionism in the Agderike-Ostveg Affair, "Charleroi Tribune Review" itself appears to be advocating foreign interventionism against the sovereignity of the Fennian Union in itself. That, we believe, political theory knows as imperialism.

Regards,
Dr. Santeri Onttola,
Union Ambassador to Charleroi

DIRECT SERVICE TO KRISTIANIA!

The Captains of Trans-Occidental stand before their newly delivered Super 714 as the company ushers in a new age of trans-continental direct flights.

Trans-Occidental World Air Ways' has announced that it will begin offering direct luxury service to Kristiania on the Hawkins-Miranda Super 714 airliner next week as it takes its first delivery of the new aircraft. The Super 714 built to the exact specifications requested by Trans-Occidental is the first aircraft powerful enough to brave the strong headwinds encountered on west-bound flights back to Sylvania, making direct service virtually impossible. The direct flight to Kristiania is one of many planned by Trans-Occidental as the company pushes itself forward as the leader in airliner service and the leader in luxury service. The direct flight announced in a company investor meeting has already found itself inundated by businessmen looking to purchase tickets so that they may conduct business in Ostveg.

"My aim is to bring us closer to our friends and trade partners in Ostveg and across the world."-Captain Charles Elwood

Captain Charles Elwood, founder of Trans-Occidental has been and is currently being praised for his push to make the world easier to access for Sylvanians and continues to be successful in his work in aviation. Currently Elwood and his company are in talks with several nations trade and tourism boards to offer direct service to Dulwich, Port Royal, Fortaleza Real, Rijeka, Vesper, Sharjah, San Vincente, Nurnberg and Alderburgh aboard the Super 714. Elwood expressed his dismay, however, that jet airliners were still a few years off in Sylvania but stressed that piston-driven propeller planes still offer much in the way of longevity, fuel economy and comfort. Currently Trans-Occidental offers direct service to Fey aboard the 314 Flying Boat and 703 Cirrusliners and has no plans to replace the route with a 714 as the latter aircraft is intended to service long range routes

Trans-Occidental World Airways is allowed to land on Eiffellandian airports as well. We kindly suggest to study the possibility.
