Well, regarding the reparations and the rebuilding and so on, there was some talk ago about the pace of RP, where a RL month would represent a year or something like that, though I don't know what has been decided in the end.

At least I can confirm that this was the rule in the past. And I think this is still the case now. But let's be not too strict with that. It could very well be possible that not everything has been destroyed, i.e. that Cyclopeia has enough industry left.

I voted yes. An change in Wiefel's shape will be welcome, and It could give me new ideas to RP in Germania.

Østveg is making a proposal for a modified map, in which the countries are less spread over the world. Meanwhile, we continue RPing as if we are on the old map ;)

So here is a rough draft. I redrew this map from the ground up. That's why this took so long. I hope you can figure out where your country should be located. I'd like to know some opinions on the new bodies of water, the rearranging of some parts, and other changes. I'm very open to changing anything, as I found it difficult by myself coming up with good ideas, much less the best solutions to make areas closer together and also still accessible. I think this is a first draft of many, but I hope it can start some discussion.

My most notable changes is the enlargement of the sea by Nichtstein. The addition of a large lake in central Eurodisney. Lastly, the alteration of the South, which is totally new, and I'm not sure if it's good at all.

That is pretty extreme. I was hoping that the map would just be scaled down in terms of cutting some of the fat. Now we are going to have OOC fights over placement and also on keeping ethnic groups together etc etc. While I like some aspects of it, I feel like we as a forum keep getting into a pattern of repeatedly resetting things on this forum. Everytime I get into a groove, things majorly change around here. This is god damned drastic.

Do I still have a colony? Is all my RP up to now with Bourgogne moot? What about keeping the French and German nations together? Who is getting the screwjob in terms of pixels?

If you haven't guessed, I am against this new map. I supported slight overhauls, not a damned reset of the world.

I decided to make a new world option, and I do not expect it to be particularly popular with Fleur or the majority who wants little change.

The clusters and really everything were based off me, so it would need a lot more input from players. Again, I understand this resets more than it helps so I am not at all emotionally invested in this.

Part of me does like that map. Though I don't agree with it. If we reset, yet again, I fear RP will rise for only a short time before plummeting. Perhaps 6 months will go by and BOOM. Another reset.

I'm not so sure my map resets anything other than deleting the areas of the Occident, Massive chunks of Himyar and the Orient. :/ I wonder if I were to add border lines if you'd find it less drastic. As this map I made is not supposed to reset anything, and if that is the impression, then I failed.

Coro's is probably the most clean an concise version of consolidating focus on Western Europe that we are going to get.

Do I still have a colony?
Why would you lose your colony? There is a ''Himyar'' on both maps. I don't plan to lose my own colony either. Also I'd hate to see the Green Peninsula go as it's one of the few colonies created that actually get's RPed and gets attention from it's creator.

Is all my RP up to now with Bourgogne moot?
Why would his happen either? I mean on the 24th you applied for a new piece of land, would you erase all your years of work after that? If Bourgogne is transplanted onto a reshaped eurodisney would the new geography suddenly make a difference?

Nitchstien and Eifflelland asked for no changes to their land borders so Bourgogne can always retain it's shape too.

What about keeping the French and German nations together?
Absolutely agree that dynamic is a big part of our RP.

Who is getting the screwjob in terms of pixels?
Bit of a loaded question but seeing as there are no borders on either of the maps yet we should debate this point. Making nations be placed into similar sized slots to accommodate for their RP. However the sizes in eurodisney are so similar as it is I didn't think it was that big of a factor.

What would you suggest? I don't think we should move forward with anything unless its unanimous.

Also you might think this is a drastic attempt to ''increase RP'' but that wasn't why I went for the idea in the first place. The idea was to make RP easier between the remaining nations on the forum. It makes nations closer and easier to act on each other. Do we really need an Earth sized/shaped map for less than 10 RPing nations?

Just being vigilant. I am just concerned about the transition and retaining character. The Green Peninsula is about to get more interesting. As far as moving into Belmont's spot, there is logic behind it. First, it keeps the French cohesion. Second, as I am more active than I thought I would be; I am ready to RP a larger nation. Third, much of my history relies on bordering with French states. So if a Spanish nation or something moved into Belmont's spot; it would really unbalance things. I wanted to make sure my neighbors remained roughly the same. If they were to change drastically, my previous RP may not make sense as I would not have taken certain courses of action. My main caveat is roughly keeping the ethnic groups together. I did ask to be moved to Belmont's spot to keep the Frenchies together but I am also ready to go to a larger nation after having RP'd both a tiny Nicosia and a small Burgundy. So pending approval, Id like to take Belmont's spot and if the maps change, I'd like to retain roughly the same borders.

My suggestion is that we augment the existing map. Ive been around since 2005ish so I have seen many map changes. I am not totally against change. I just think there should be detailed discussion. I like the idea of a world map. It adds to the atmosphere and there is a reason we went to having world map. That being said, I would like to see a proposed final draft. I was not expecting such a drastic change. I can come around to it. I also think we need to be more on top of removing people from maps who are not active who have not explained their absence.

I like this idea very much, i think i will allocate my country to the grecoroma area. Colonial mix it can stay there Mozambia and Bissau, and Bangala.

I dont think the location of the colonial mix makes sense. It would have all been colonized by the 'asian' nations and those of Grecoroma. I prefer the other proposed map to this one

Not necessarily, by your logic Australia then should be a Chinese colony... :p

I personally seem to like Vithrais' map because it gives us a map which covers most ethnicities but in a more connected way. I like the divisions that have been made with regards to the regions. While it would mean I have to abandon my most beloved spot of Sikandara in the current set-up (though thinking about it I just need a big spot to continue as I stand, doesn't matter how it is :p ) I do feel that the new map can offer us some interesting opportunities for RP. I would just say that it would be good to see some spots as well to get an idea of the scope of the map.

Also, are we still sticking with 1950s, or is the timeline also moving forward?
