Thank you for tuning in and welcome to Carentania Public Broadcasting.
These are the news:

The declaration of independence by the city of Augustaborg in the Eastern Cape has been met with severe criticism by Carentanian authorities, who have publically called the act illegal and a threat to the future of the Eastern Cape as a whole. According to the Carentanian government, intelligence on the situation in Augustaborg confirms that the independence declaration was carried out by a right-wing militia that has forcefully taken over local interim government and the hasty timing of the declaration, not even waiting to confirm whether there would be a democratic majority for such a policy, casts a dubious light on the motivations of the Augustaborg Gang. Carentanian forces in the region have reported that they would react swiftly to restore legitimate order and protect Eastern Cape sovereignity so it could enter into independence as a single and unified state, rather than a number of fiefdoms dependant upon foreign powers yet again.

Some days after Cantignia confirmed its signatory status to the Revolutionary Defense Treaty Organization, a mission of advisors from the different government branches has been dispatched to help Cantignia progress towards Socialism by assessing the current domestic situation and gathering proposals for political and economic reform. The delegation, which has no authority beyond crafting advice for the current Cantignian government, will also involve military experts from the Commissariate for Defense. Since Carentania now has defensive obligations towards the Gallo-Germanic nation, coordinating the Cantignian security interests with Carentanian assets becomes a priority. The delegation is planned to tour Cantignia until early may.

The discovery of a copper vein in a protected part of the central Haemian Mountains has sparked controversy as to the future of the national park in question. Factions within the Commissariate for Economic Planning are debating the necessity to develope the deposits versus the natural beauty of the centuries old wilderness in the remote area. Proponents of the former position argue that electronics, one of Carentanias major industries, will require a great amount of copper in the present and future and the tapping of additional sources will secure the supply - their opponents argue that a copper shortage is not imminent and the destruction of the forest may have unforseen consequences as well as costs, considering the remote location of the area. Finally, the public has taken a stance as well, with local communities protesting the plans for open-cast mining that would devastate the pristine countryside.

These are the news:

The Commissariate for Foreign Affairs has warned Europe in a public statement that it possesses evidence of a mobilization of the Sikandari military, claiming the scale of these preparations to be "millions of soldiers". In his speech, Commissar Jerman found strong words for the terrifying realization that Sikandara was preparing for an invasion of one of its neighbours. He reminded the Carentanian public that they should not mistake the safety of the Carentanian homeland with security for Carentania as a whole: "Because Carentania can't be struck, Carentanian allies will be struck until our land can itself will be besieged. If we don't stand with the free world in these times, it will haunt us later and there will be no one left to fight at our side." The Commissar warned Sikandara that proceeding with the war preparations would have unforseeable consequences for the whole of Europe and advised Vangala to prepare for the eventuality of a Sikandari assault.

Troops in mainland Solaren will be withdrawn by the end of 1954, the Commissariate for Defence announced after talks with the interim government. "We intend to gradually reduce our commitment, handing over responsibilities to Solaren authorities," Commissar Dracar said in a press release while calling upon obstructionist factions in the Solaren National Congress to abandon their stance and make way for a new constitution and free elections. "Carentanian involvement will end, regardless, but future cooperation and economic developement of Solaren will hinge upon a stable, democratic and socialist order." The Workers' Republic will continue to maintain bases on Capraria and Iscla though and has expressed its desire to continue the lease of these bases in the future.

A jewish cemetary in the north-western city of Paki was desecrated last night, with numerous tombstones damaged and antisemitic paroles painted across several of them. The incident, which has local councils worried and caught attention of the National Jewish Assembly, is likely the act of Mezhist hooligans, the Commissariate for Inner Security concluded. Similiar incidents had occured in other cities in the past, where the culprits were sympathizers of Mezhist groups. An investigation commission has been formed and tasked with the persecution of this shameful assault on jewish heritage in Carentania.

The People's Republic of Vangala has stood firm in the face of Yujiner aggression, and will stand firm in the face of a Sikandari invasion. It is the intention of both imperialist regimes to restore the feudalist order in Vangala, and to remove the revolutionary government that caters not to the land-owning classes, but to the toiling masses instead. The People's Armed Forces have been placed on high alert, and any incursion onto Vangalan soil will be met with overwhelming firepower.

These are the news:

Commissar for Foreign Affairs Tomas Jerman has implored the Tripartite Pact to return to the negotiation table on the subject of tensions in the Eastern Cape. Commenting on statements by Tripartite leaders, that Carentania should deploy forces to the Cape region if it felt that Asylan threatened Eastern Cape sovereignity, Commissar Jerman said that a standoff of armed forces will not benefit Eastern Himyar as a whole. He described the situation as destabilizing and damaging to the future of the Eastern Cape and warned that a militarization of the eastern Himyar region could lead to misunderstandings and incidents that risk armed conflict in Himyar. Carentania, the Commissar said, is still striving for a solution that ensures lasting peace in the region and prevents bloodshed.

The European Cosmonautical Union has invited leading engineers from Cantignia to travel to Rijeka for work on the socialist space travel programm. According to a press release, the ECU believes that the capabilities of their colleagues from the Gallo-Germanic nation will benefit the effort as a whole and that Rijeka is the best place to coordinate the joint efforts. Visas and plane tickets have already been provided by the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs and the ECU stated that it intends to deepen the cooperation with other socialist states in Europe, not just by inviting scientists to Europe but also by cooperating with universities and scientific facilities abroad.

Sikandari ships may be targeted by Carentanian forces if its allies are attacked, the Marshal of the Revolutionary Navy said in regards to the Sikandari mobilization of almost 2 million soldiers. The Marshal warned Sikandara that it would be unable to sustain its foreign trade, much like the Empire of Yujin, if it were to assault Carentanias Vangalan allies directly or indirectly support an invasion of Vangalan territory. If Sikandari proceeds its current preparations for war "no Sikandari ship will pass the Long Sea," the Marshal announced, furthermore stating that Carentania possesses the means to pursue Sikandari shipment beyond the confines of the Long Sea.

IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT OF SIKANDARA
COUNCIL FOR DIPLOMACY

OPEN STATEMENT

The defensive posture of the Sikandari military is not aimed at threatening the Vangalan nation. In fact friendly overtures to that government have been misinterpreted and miscontrued by the propaganda arm of that government. However the lack of a Vangalan response shows to us that the authorities in Kilkila are just a mouth piece for the Carentanian Government.

How ironic it is that a nation committed to the rights of Himyar against colonial aggressors has claimed a colony for itself in Touyou.

But, let the Carentanian Government also not forget that Sikandara is not a nation to pick fights with. While the Worker's Republic may act with impunity in Himyar, where it competes with mediocre forces, we are a nation committed to protect our rights.

However, we must state, with extreme seriousness that, Carentanian threats against mercantile vessels is a threat to international trade and all nations of the world must view these threats with great seriousness. Carentania does not, and cannot, claim sovereign rights over the Long Sea.

Carentania considers the interception of naval supply lines of states that have gone to war with the Workers' Republic a legitimate measure of defence and will continue to use this tool to subdue belligerent forces that threaten the wellbeing of its citizens and allies. At no point has Carentania interfered with neutral maritime traffic and Carentania has always respected the rights of international merchant traffic in the Long Sea.

Sikandara is preparing for war. The mobilization of 2 million men at arms without the slightest threat to its nation is a clearly offensive posture. We furthermore possess intelligence data indicating a coordination of military actions with Imperial Yujin - a nation that has declared war on the Peoples' Republic of Vangala and the states of the Revolutionary Defense Treaty Organisation. We thus must prepare for a possible act of aggression towards Carentania and her allies.

We would once again like to stress that trade in the long sea has nothing to do with national rivalries and should as such remain untouched. Not only is the Long Sea not Carentanian national waters and as such military action and blockade of certain ships without a declaration of war is illegal, the crews of trade ships are unarmed civilians and attacking or detaining them, especially international waters, is against international law. Breaching international regulation would and should cause an justified international reaction, and possibly even an intervention, against Carerntania, or any other state acting in a similar manner. As such we would advise against such vile actions and practices both in the present and future.

IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT OF SIKANDARA
COUNCIL FOR DIPLOMACY

OPEN STATEMENT

The Imperial Government would like to point to a message we sent to the Vangalan authorities earlier this month. To view us as a threat, might be warranted, but is entirely unnecessary.

The Empire has ejected the Vangalan government-in-exile and was hoping that this measure by us would have been understood by Kilkila to be an attempt to normalise relations and resolve the issue of repatriation of Vangalan refugees. But we are surprised that this was spun in a wholly negative manner by the propaganda officers of that country. We are open to dialogue and are willing to open dialogue aimed at officially recognizing the communist authorities in Vangala.

We reiterate, our positions on the eastern frontier with Vangala are defensive in nature, carried out due to strong intelligence reports pointing to a grave threat emanating from our eastern borders. This action is within the rights of a sovereign nation.

There never was a negotiating table to sit at, the comments of Tomas Jerman are first and foremost false and secondly an obvious attempt to brighten the image of the failure that is Carentanian foreign diplomacy. Any and all tensions over Erdenshire are of Carentanian design and the people of the Continental Republic demand some semblance of sanity from Carentania and the RDTO member states.

Our attempts to negotiate with Asylan are well known, as is their outright rejection of these diplomatic overtures and attempts to portray them as aggression towards the Asylan colonial holding. Carentania has made its position on the issue very clear: Asylans aggressive acts have destabilized the entire region of Eastern Himyar and the possibility of repeating these neo-colonial pursuits at any given time in the future is one that Carentanian foreign policy must acknowledge. We have offered, perhaps without giving due credit to the irrational insistence on land as a source of national prestige, a transfer of this colony to the Eastern Cape in exchange for due compensations by the Workers' Republic. We have furthermore unmistakably made it clear to the Asylans that we are open to negotiations on this proposal and that our pursuit is not territorial expansion, but a security guarantuee that ensures no further confrontation over the Eastern Cape.

The continued insistence of the Tripartite Pact to misrepresent these facts and their rejection of any and all diplomacy; indeed, their insistence that the status quo of tensions and military standoff in Eastern Himyar are acceptable, made very clear by the laconic remarks of Tripartite Pact members that Carentania should just increase their military presence in the Eastern Cape if it fears for future incursions by the Asylan military, are worrisome to say the least. We would welcome it if the Tripartite Pact were to turn around and drop their stubborn ideological insistence to be "right all along" when they are clearly trying to steer the failure of Asylan foreign policy into a direction that allows for renewed political capitalization by playing on anti-communist sentiments.

We recommend the Carentanian government that it takes the arguments of the Sikandari government more seriously. There is a major civil war going on at the border of Sikandara, like on the border of Vangala. Mobilising a large force of soldiers is justified, given what is going on in Yujin. Furthermore, the fact that Sikandara expelled the Vangalan government in exile, in fact the government representing the old regime of Vangala, should be reconsidered by the Vangalan government, and also by the Carentanian government, if it has not been interpreted as a sign of good will towards Vangala.

These are the news:

Protestors in Rijeka have called for a peaceful solution in the Eastern Cape crisis. The five-hundred men and women marched to the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs to oppose deployment of Carentanian soldiers in the eastern Himyari nation, as well as Asylan provocations, stating that diplomatic negotiations are needed. Opposition to Carentanian involvement in the Eastern Cape has been growing ever since news of Sikandari mobilization has been published, with many Carentanians feeling their involvement in the Eastern Cape being a waste of ressources.

Carentanian Electronics WO. has announced their intention to introduce a mass-produced computer by the end of the year, saying that developement on the project has already proceeded beyond the conceptual stages. The calculator, which is to be produced at assembly lines in factories in Sisak, will be able to solve simple mathematic operations at faster speed and greater extent than current mechanical calculators used in the fields, which the computer will be designed for: business, scientific and military applications wherever one of the larger supercomputers would be unviable.

Shots were fired at a military base in the Vrbas Kraj, near the border to Jurzan, but no one was injured. Investigators by the Agency for Covert Investigations dispatched to the scene later reported that Mezhist involvement in the assault is likely, but can not be proven at this stage. Many Mezhist terrorists are believed to hide in the Jurzan, crossing the border at remote locations to carry out assaults on the Workers' Republic. Persecution of the Mezhists has proven difficult in the past, but the Commissariate for Inner Security commented that it has improved its capabilities and that new strategies may yeild better results.

Office of the THIRD LORD
Board of Admiralty and Commerce
MERGUI, 11111
THARRAMA

TUESDAY, 25TH MARCH 1954
To the COMMISSARIATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS

The SOUTH SEAS & TOYOU URGENCIES

I, but respectfully represent to the Commissar of Foreign Affairs that the failure of the Commissariate to take effective steps to preserve the integrity and independence of those nations in the immediate regions of Carentanian interest, in accordance with the universal rights of nation-states, constitutes a grave menace to the peace of Europe and to the best interests of the South Seas and Toyou.

The condition of affairs in the South Seas, from the urgencies of the Eastern Cape Territory, and in Toyou, from the deepening crisis of security, is causing a good deal of apprehension in the legislatures and societies of the Crowned Provinces; it should also be seriously understood by the Commissar, as occupying the serious attention of the Board of Admiralty and Commerce. For this reason I have scheduled an Extraordinary Joint-Sitting of the States-General on the considerations of commerce and security, as I thought that it would afford an early and convenient opportunity to bring the questions of Carentania and the Revolutionary Defence Treaty Organisation under the consideration of the Crowned Provinces. It will also afford an opportunity to the Board of Admiralty and Commerce to affect an adjustment to the position of the Crowned Provinces, in relation to commerce and security, within the South Seas and Toyou, in respect of Carentania and her regional partners.

May I, before I come to my criticism, respectfully tender my sincere respect to the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs upon the high distinction which has been recognised in relation to the difficult circumstances that presented themselves with the Solaris Urgency. You may certainly acknowledge a many critic of Carentanian policy in the present, and quite possibly a critic of certain points of policy in the past; but that in no way interferes with the great appreciation, not only of the rare dutiful obligation to the Long Sea security, but also of the great sincerity and the high-minded and disinterested motives which have been perceived to guide Carentania in her relations with her neighbour, Eiffelland.

Before I come to the actual points of the Extraordinary Joint-Sitting, I want to say a general word with regard to the attitude I have taken up in this matter, and I think I may without presumption speak for a distinct and acknowledged majority within the States-General who have taken the same line. The Chairman of the Commercial Navigation Sub-Committee, Khin Maung Tun, in an address which he delivered on 20 March 1954, made the following remarks:— There is a certain growing, I have no doubt, in the North Assembly, which thinks we do not interfere nearly enough, especially in certain parts of Europe. The people who press upon the legislature a different policy from that which is now being pursued, are, it seems to me, people who are really advocating as a Foreign policy the maximum of interference in the affairs of Europe at large and the minimum of friendship with our neighbours. The Chairman of the Sub-Committee referred to the enormous weight of work upon him, as Chairman of the Commercial Navigation Sub-Committee, to ease spiralling insurance against commercial shipping, and said, because of it he was more willing to engage with considerations of alternative foreign policy as opposed to greater scrutiny of navigational policy. I think it would have been fairer if he had not attributed to the entirety of the North Assembly a line of argument which I, and I certainly think my colleagues, have never adopted. On the contrary, our plea throughout has been non-interference.

All that the Crowned Provinces ask for is that the Eastern Cape Territory be un-restricted in the pursuit for self-determined democratic practices, in which Carentania and her partner, Cathiopia, be encouraged to adopt greater inclusion of those nations desiring a resolve to that crisis; that those nations of Toyou be allowed to work out their salvation for themself without the interference of other Powers. Those have been the points the Crowned Provinces have urged, and will deliberate in the Extraordinary Joint-Sitting, not only on the questions respecting Carentania but on other foreign questions that have come before the States-General and the Board of the Admiralty and Commerce.

We have strongly urged, and continue to persist, that there should not be an interference in the internal affairs of another country.

When I arrived at the rights of nations, I found it essential, by the policies of the Crowned Provinces, to complain of the failure of the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs to take effective steps to preserve the integrity and independence of the post-imperial efforts of the Eastern Cape Territory, and to the reluctance to impose a self-limitation of Carentanian interference, with respect to Toyou.

I urge, first of all, for the Commissar to consider the various interpretations and observations of the Crowned Provinces in these various areas, and I urge Carentania to examine whether the rights of nations has in fact been violated by her ideological pursuits, and lastly, to consider what the consequences of violation are likely to lead to.

Sai Sai Kham Leng,

These are the news:

Navy and Coast Guard have been mobilized, following increasingly hostile stances of pro-Imperial neighbours of Yujin, including Sikandara and Sri Sava. With Sikandara openly intervening in the war in Yujin and Sri Sava contemplating doing so to stop Vangalan advances in the province of Sinhai, which recently declared independence, Carentanian officials fear war with those nations to be approaching. The Commissar for Defense declared that the Workers' Republic was preparing itself for the prospect of escalation in wake of open support for the Empire despite a new level of brutality having been reached with use of chemical weapons against civilians by Imperial forces.

Meanwhile, a solution to the crisis at the Eastern Cape seems close, with sources within the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs indicating as much. According to high-ranking officials, Carentania and Asylan, as well as its Tripartite allies, have agreed on a non-aggression treaty as well as an agreement to limit troop deployments to the region. The Commissar refused to comment, stating that negotiations are still going on and a final text for a treaty has not yet been adopted. However, Commissar Jerman expressed his optimism that the negotiations over Erdenshire will end with a solution that will be deemed satisfactory by all parties involved.

Europe-wide tensions have prompted the Commissariate for Economic Planning to invest in a larger strategic reserve of petrol, ordering the construction of several new fuel depots throughout the country. The exact location of these new depots will remain secret, but it is safe to assume they will be part of or at least in proximity to military bases. The reserve, according to the Commissariate, is intended to easen the effects of disturbances to Carentanian oil imports, especially in the context of warfare and it is estimated that, once the new tanks are finished and filled, Carentania would be able to continue unlimited military operations in a total war scenario for 3 to 6 months without imports of oil.

These are the news:

The Commissar for Defence, together with the Commissar for Economic Planning, has officially enacted the Wartime Economy Measures Act today for the first time since 1941. According to the Commissars, who gave a joint press conference following the decision, the measure was deemed necessary in face of growing support for Imperial Yujin. "We must not forget that Yujin is still waging war against us and our allies and if we allow Sikandara and others to strengthen the Empire now, it will descend upon us later," Commissar Matija Dracar said. The Wartime Economy Measures Act prioritizes defense production and limits civilian consumption for the duration of the conflict in Yujin.

Commissar for Defence, Matija Dracar, also invited volunteers to sign up with the Revolutionary Guards Corps. While most of the additional defensive production will be sent to Carentanian allies in Vangala, Sinhai and Seora, the formation of additional divisions has been ordered for the length of the war. All volunteers will be considered, the Commissar said, but special emphasis was placed on volunteers with aviation experience. Reservists or past members of Aviation Corps in Army and Navy will be given preference when assigning them to new units and the Commissariate for Defence has ordered all requests for transfer from Army Aviation to Guards Aviation to be granted immediately.

Carentania Public Broadcasting reminds its listeners that they can contribute to the defence effort by reducing their private consumption and saving ressources. Turning off the light when you don't absolutely need it, refraining from some unnecessary luxuries and not taking the car for your next trip are small inconveniences for the individual, but will sum up on the national level. Working overhours is your revolutionary duty and is expected of you by your friends and comrades throughout the Workers' Republic. Don't let those fighting for freedom and socialism hanging by acting selfish in times of war!

These are the news:

Sikandaran forces have sunk a ship with refugees bound for Auraria as part of its ongoing campaign against communist revolutionaries within the country. After announcing the mass-execution of 300 communists, the sinking of the Aurarian vessel cost anothe 150 lives. The Aurarian government has immediately declassified numerous documents to counteract conspiracy-theories by right-wing governments, proving not only the presence of Sikandari refugees whose freedom had been bought by Aurarian officials, but also providing proof of the involvement of the Sikandari Navy in the attack upon the ship. Carentanian authorities have condemned the unjustified assault and the brutal massacres committed against Sikandari communists.

A rocket launch in the Vrbas region ended in failure earlier today, as the device tested by the European Cosmonautical Union as preliminary for the developement of space-going vessels crashed and burned shortly after launch. The ensuing explosion could be heard as far as Sisak city, locals reported, but seems to have caused no actual damage beyond the device itself. However, despite the abortive nature of the launch, ECU officials have stressed that they have drawn numerous practical conclusions from it and that they have made a great step forward towards space flight, once the lessons learned from the launch can be implemented in the next testing launch.

M. M. Rosenberg, famed Carentanian author of dark science-fiction novels, dies at age 56. Suffering a stroke last night, Rosenberg died on his way to the hospital in his hometown of Dragonijc. Rosenberg was famous for his dystopian novels, often featuring the theme of total global war. He leaves behind his wife and two adult children and will be direly missed by the community of Carentanian authors. In Rosenbergs honor, we will broadcast a public reading of his latest book "Charred World" later today...

These are the news:

Military Presence In Long Sea Increases
Following the sinking of three Sikandari ships in the Long Sea, tensions have flared up in the region and powers from throughout Europe feel the need to dispatch forces to ensure the safety of this vital waterway. The Commissar for Foreign Affairs has warned that this does in fact increase the probability of incidents in the region and urged the nations of Europe to reconsider the dispatch of vessels to the Long Sea. Meanwhile, Carentania has announced that it intends to serve its role as protector of the Long Sea and doubled patrols in the region, asking shipping in the Long Sea to coordinate with the Carentanian Coast Guard on a goodwill basis even where they hold no formal authority. "The security and stability of the Long Sea is best guarantueed by an athmosphere of mutual trust, not one of competitive gunboat politics," the Marshal of the Carentanian Coast Guard commented.

Sikandara Rejects Carentanian Investigation On Ship Sinking
In the issue of the Sikandari refugee ship that was reportedly sunk by an torpedo attack, Sikandara has flat out rejected the inclusion of Carentanian representatives into the commission tasked with investigating the incident. Instead, the commission will be made up entirely of nations that are ideologically hostile to Socialism and with vested economic interests in Sikandara, casting severe doubts on the supposed neutrality of the commission. Auraria had blamed Sikandara for the sinking of the ship, which was intended to transport persecuted communists to exile in Auraria. The Carentanian Commissariate for Foreign Affairs warned the commission's members that they are already starting their task with a lack of legitimacy and advised them to prove their independence by being "thorough, critical and investigative", asking them furthermore to disclose all documents used in the investigation as it proceeds, so the international community can assess their work.

Carentanian General In Seora Confirmed Dead
Revolutionary Army officials today confirmed that the commanding officer of the operation in Seora was killed in action, his body now finally discovered after he had been missing since the coup against the Communists within the independence government. The sudden betrayal by right-wing elements within the country, seeking to take over power while the country was still trying to secure its independence from Yujin, had taken the Carentanian military support mission in the country by surprise, initially leading to considerations of a full withdrawal from Seora before the frontlines stabilized. Highest-ranking Carentanian military official has been colonel Anton Tudman and, having been the de-facto commander of the operation for a few months, will receive an official promotion later this week, the Revolutionary Army announced.

SENATVS POPVLVSQVE TIBVRANVS
RES PVBLICA TIBVRANA - MINISTERIVM DE RERVM EXTERNARVM

MMVIII MAIVS MMXV - PVBLICA CONSTITVTIONIS

The Senate and the People of Tibur condemn in the most harsh and severe manner the militarization of the Long Sea by the Workers' Republic of @ .We also reject the self-proclaimed title of "Protectors of the Long Sea" that the Carentanians claim and we make it clear that we shall allow no Carentanian naval or coast guard vessels of any kind within our Territorial Waters and Exclusive Economic Zone and our merchant ships shall under no circumstances comply with their demands outside Carentianian territorial waters and the Carentanian exclusive economic zone. Our own Coast Guard, which has enchanced its activities according to the current needs, is more than capable and the only legally justified force to handle these tasks.

We shall under no circumstances surrender control and policing duties of our waters and EEZ to the regime in Rijeka. Any attempt to enforce Carentanian checks and control over Edessine vessels outside Carentania's waters and EEZ and any other vessels inside the Edessine waters and EEZ will not be tolerated. The hostile and reckless moves of the agressive Workers' Republic only serve to further distabilize the Long Sea and light the fires of conflict while derailing and hindering the international peace process.

Furthermore the rejection of the most truthfull and impartial findings of the International Comission on the Long Sea as well as the outrageous accusations that the member nations are somehow associated with or dependent on the Empire of Sikandara based on ideological conepts only harm any diplomatic and non-violent attempts at resolving the crisis, are extremely counter-productive and irresponsible. The Workers' Republic of Carentania has no intention to infringe upon the sovereignity of any nation of Europe and has never announced anything of the nature the Edessine regime is accusing it of. We find the language of this communique to be thoroughly inflammatory and confrontative and question the motivation of the Edessines in provoking diplomatic incidents over non-existant issues at a time that foreign powers are seeking to prove their power and influence by militarizing the Long Sea, possibly leading to future incidents.

We politely suggest the Edessine autocrats tone down their rhetoric and let the Workers' Republic of Carentania pursue a policy of peace and stability in the Long Sea to everyones advantage.
