"The recent happenings in Saaremaa are outrageous and inherently fascist in nature! The return of a monarchy in an age of modernity and ever expanding industrialization illustrates the backwardness of this new 'National Unity' government. The contrast between the modern economic powerhouse that is Kadikistan can not be greater. Outlawing the freedom-loving Party of the Left is an undemocratic act with which the reactionary forces are attempting to crush the only real opposition to the restoration of the monarchy. The fact that the social-democrats are supporting the abolition of the republic, prove the Marxist-Leninovist analysis that these social-capitalists are inherently right-wing.

However there is still hope for the people of Saaremaa as recent polls show that the Party of the Left has the support of roughly one out of ten citizens of the country. We urge this significant oppressed minority to continue their great work by expanding their underground network and spreading the word of our Glorious Leader. Surely there is much support to be found in republican circles who feel betrayed by the reactionary Progressive Union. Like in Justiza the catch-cry is the same: organize! Organize into underground armed revolutionary cells! Strike at the financial heart of Saaremaa! Organize the workers and shut down the country's industry! Attack the forces of oppression and be ever vigilant! The parliamentary battlefield was never the priority and must be forcefully abandoned. The armed struggle on the streets and in the factories is the only true path to freedom and equality!

The Party of the Left has the full moral, financial, political and material support of the Democratic Republic of Kadikistan. We hereby formally warn the reactionary government of Saaremaa not to take any further repressive actions against the brave Marxist-Leninovists or they will face the total unrelenting military force of the Revolutionary Army.

We fully trust the assessments by the Central Electoral Bureau of the former Republic and current Kingdom of Saaremaa. A fundamental change in the Saaremaa constitution like the one voted upon in 1954 has to be carried out based on comprehensive discussions in society and cannot be the result of fraud.

We commend the Progressive Union for not letting this situation escalate and facilitating a smooth hand-over of power.

We congratulate King Alvar VI with assuming the Throne agan, and Prime Minister Sepp with becoming Prime-Minister again. We also wish them all the wisdom they will need as the King and the Prime Minister of a country with such a turbulent recent past. We also call upon her to become the Prime-Minister of all Saare and give Saaremaa what it needs: Stability and a relaxed athmosphere in which everybody can discuss how to proceed from here.

We also want to make clear that stability is what Saaremaa needs at the moment. Change should be possible, but then discussed out and implemented in such a way that as many people as possible will agree to it and benefit from it. We will not accept it that 10% of the Saare tries to impose its will upon the other 90%. The new Government of Saaremaa will have our full support when it acts against any violent actions carried out by said 10% minority, also against foreign interference supporting said 10% minority.

New Steps for the Future: Concordat, Defense and Politics​

Chancellor Anna Sepp has won a great diplomatic victory today in her fight to bring stability to the kingdom. She has united in Kuressaare the representatives of the state institutions, the armed forces, the civil society, political party and religious organizations to come together and set aside their differences to stabilize the country and to create a united front against the communist hydra that threatens the very existence of the Saare people on a daily basis. The Concordat of National Unity has been signed on the 12th of February by T.K.K. Alvar VI, Chancellor Anna Sepp, Riina Lepp, Archbishop Oliver Tarvas of the Unitarian Church of Saaremaa, Prince Mihkel Saar - representing the Maausk Communities, Professor Villem Peebo - representing the civil society and General Andrus Masing, representing the Armed Forces.

The Concordat proclaims the unity of the Saare nation in front of the red danger. The national institutions and civil society have declared that they stand behind the National Unity Government until the crisis passes an will resist any Kadiki attempts to interfere with the normal functioning of the state. Anna Sepp also stated that the concordat will also bring a series of reforms in the state institutions, the most important being the new economic policy of the state, the adoption of corporatism and the reformation of the White Army, into the new Unitarian and Royal Army. There will be two new ministries without portfolio in the government that will be filled by the representatives of the Unitarian Church and of the Maausk Community.

The new Unitarian and Royal Army will be formed from the old cadres of the White Army, but it will be decentralized. Instead of one main headquarter, as the White Army had, the Unitarian and Royal Army will be divided in two regions, Lounamaad and Pohjamaad, representing the main administrative divisions of the Kingdom. In the north, a special Maausk militia will be formed, with the purpose of defending the Maausk population.

The Southern Fleet, will be mobilized for the defense of the coast from any potential Kadiki threatening actions. The 1st Army has also been mobilized at the beginning of the Ivernian Civil War and has been ordered to remain under alert until the Kadiki Crisis ends. Chancellor Anna Sepp declared that the Kingdom has no problem with the Kadiki military exercises, but warns that any violations of it's national sovereignty will bring on a swift response from the Unitarian and Royal Fleet.

In response to the new changes of the state, Anna Sepp also declared that the external politics of the state will also be changed. The Chancellor declared that it is her wish to normalize the relations between Saaremaa and Ivernia and Bougogne. She also declared that the project recognizing the Milesian Republic has been abandoned and as of now, the Kingdom is to be considered hostile to the separatist republic. The government declared that even if the Kadiki Crisis may not pass by that time, elections are to take place in July.

Unitarian and Royal Army to search refugee camps for Milesian terrorists

In a surprise move, Chancellor Anna Sepp has decided to pardon Mihkel Vaino, the ex-leader of the military regime in it's last year, who was seen as a reformer of the regime and has made him a Marshall of the Unitarian and Royal Army. Marshall Vaino will share the supreme command of the army together with Andrus Massing. With the decentralization of the army command, Massing will be sent to command the headquarters in Pohjamaad and Vaino in Lounamaad. The pardoning of Mihkel Vaino has been received with joy by the people of Kuressaare as he was the head of a central infrastructure modernizing program in the capital city and he was also the one who inaugurated the underground railway system of the city.

Coordinating the military activity with the Chancellor, Marshall Mihkel Vaino has decided to send the Unitarian and Royal Army in the refugee camps of the Ivernians to search for Milesian terrorists that use the refugee camps as headquarters for organizing the resistance in Milesia and attacks on the Imperial Army in Lowport. Since the beginning of the war in Milesia, which has displaced more than a million civilians, around 300,000 have crossed the border into Saaremaa and have been hosted in a series of refugee camps. The refugee crisis has been a huge strain on the economy of the state and of the infrastructure of Lounamaad. The National Unity Government has declared that it is an aspiration of the Saare to see the war in Ivernia end as fast as possible, to have the refugees return back home.

The operation is already underway, the military intervening in the refugee camps, together with the police to find weapons and republican militias and stop them use the refugee camps as a base for their operations in Milesia. The military police has already confiscated more than one thousand small arms, including rifles and submachine guns and has arrested 64 persons, out of which 8 were recruiting refugees and arming them to return to Ivernia to fight against the government in Caladbolg.

"We cannot let international terrorism use our land and country as a base for their vicious actions. The Unitarian and Royal Army will move swiftly to fight against those subversives and will also patrol the border more intensively to make sure that no one is crossing the border illegally. As for the refugees, we believe that the operation will make it harder for them to arrive in Saaremaa, from Milesia as they will be thoroughly searched and their identities will be investigated, to be sure that no one who has a link to the White Dove Movement will be allowed to stay in the Kingdom. We hope to see the fighting in Lowport end, so that the hostilities will cease near our border," declared Marshall Mihkel Vaino.

Other News

National: A terrorist cell of the Party of the Left has been dismantled in Imavere. Four men and three women were arrested, being accused of arms possession. In their hideout, the police has found a series of pamphlets calling for an armed resistance of the republican elements against the monarchy.
Economy: As Chancellor Anna Sepp has declared corporatism as being the new main economic policy, the first corporation has been founded today: The National Poultry Producers Corporation; As the name implies, the corporation unites all the poultry farmers in the state.
International: The Royal Minister of External Affairs, Andrus Aavik has declared that he followed the conference in Remigne and feels that the actions of the Jutizian diplomat has nothing to do with the politics of the 20th century and it would be best that she resigns before she tarnishes the reputation of Justizia even more. Aavik also declared that he hopes that the conference in Varanasi will end the open hostilities between Justizia and Kadikistan.

Attack on Imavere by communist terrorists
Imavere, Imavere Kommuun, Pohjamaad

Yesterday, Imavere was the scene of a tragic event that has shown us all how inhumane are the marxist-leninovist fanatics, not caring for the human lives, just for their chance to take power. At the first light, around 7 o'clock in the morning, around a hundred men and women, entered the city, armed with small rifles, mostly of Saare production, such as pistols and bolt-action rifles. The group of terrorists has caught the security forces of the city by surprise, as they have hidden their weapons until they reached their targets. The police is used with the huge number of commuters coming to the city, as the majority of the Imavere Nickel Plant workers come from the surrounding villages and enter the city on the Queen Maarika Boulevard, the same where the terrorists entered. As the group reached their targets, the Regional Police Headquarters, the Radio Viridian station and the National Television Station, they took out their guns and stormed the buildings.

Shots have begun to be heard in the city when they attacked the police headquarters, as some of them were armed and tried to resist, most of those were killed by the terrorists and the majority were taken hostage. The terrorists also took hostage the workers from the radio station and the television station. They hoped to transmit their messages through the telecommunication channels but only managed to do so on the radio, as the Television only starts it's emission at 8 o'clock in the morning. The person who seemed to be in command of the whole action, was in the radio station and using the nickname, "Comrade Commander Jaak", has interfered with the Bright & Early Show of Radio Viridian 1 and stated that the Promethean Army is in control of the city of Imavere, declaring it a "Free and Revolutionary City" and declaring the separation of Pohjamaad from the rest of Saaremaa, calling it a "Free Socialist Republic of the North".

While the leader of the terrorists was transmitting their message, the 8th Infantry Brigade, stationed in the city has been alerted and was first sent to liberate the radio station. Units were also sent to the television and to the police headquarters. Calling for their surrender, Marshall Andrus Massing, the supreme commander of the Unitarian and Royal Army in Pohjamaad, managed to get in a communication channel with some of the hostages in the police station, trying to organize an uprising inside the building while his soldiers stormed it, but in general, the situation reached a dead end, as the terrorists didn't want to negotiate nor to compromise.

By noon, the military stormed the television station, managing to kill 20 of the 23 terrorists inside, without hurting any of the hostages. The other three were taken prisoners. Marshall Massing tried again to get the terrorists to surrender, as he told Comrade Jaak that both the police station and the television station have been cleared and that his Free Socialist Republic of the North has died in less than 4 hours, but the rebels were unrelenting. Immediately after that, shots were heard coming from the police station and the military stormed the building. In the gunfight that followed, around 17 terrorists were killed and 5 wounded, 6 policemen were killed and 10 wounded. The army had three casualties, all wounded. After the liberation of the police headquarters, the army decided to storm the radio station Two hours later the city was completely liberated. In the fight for the building, the army suffered no casualties but one hostage was killed. Around 26 terrorists have been killed, the rest captured, including "Comrade Commander Jaak". The Army is still on the lookout for 19 rebels who managed to escape.

"It is clear that the country is infiltrated with communist terrorists. Such an action like trying to take a city is extremely bold, so it is clear that they are being supported from the outside and that they have more soldiers than we have first expected. The city has been liberated and we do not expect another attack like this one to come soon, but we must be prepared. Though I was expecting an attack to take place in Lounamaad, in the south, considering the proximity of the region with Kadikistan, the country that surely is terrorism central, an attack in Pohjamaad has completely taken us by surprise. After talking with the King, the Chancellor and my colleague, Marshall Vaino, we have decided to organize a country-wide investigation, to find the bases and conspiratorial houses of the terrorists. We have also decided to give a rewards of 5,000 Kroon to anyone bringing us any unlicensed weapons and 20,000 Kroon to anyone helping us in our investigation, if their help is consistent enough to help us catch a terrorist alive," stated Marshall Andrus Massing.

National: Chancellor Anna Sepp has declared that Saaremaa needs to return to it's historical roots and recreate it's links and spirit as a crusader state. Culturally, she has organized a new ceremonial guard at the Arensburg Castle and at the Royal Castle, themed after the medieval Knights of the Viridian Cross. In regards to the attack in Imavere, she stated that "terrorist actions should not interrupt our normal daily lives and should not stop us from enjoying cultural events. If they do, we can say that the terrorists are victorious." She also declared that the Kuressaare Medieval Festival, which normally takes place in late April, will go on, despite the events in the country and that the Unitarian and Royal Army will do anything possible to stop the terrorists from interrupting the cultural life of the country.
Economy: Aleksander Vesik, the Royal Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications has declared the start of the "Corporatization" of the National Economy, organizing the state owned companies in corporations which are grouped after the good each industry produces. New corporations formed with the new "Corporatization Decree" are The National Corporation of Fishers, the National Corporation of Woodcutters, N.C. Tailors, N.C. Cereal Farmers, N.C. Metallurgists, N.C. Rail Transports, N.C. Road Transports, N.C. Machine Tools Producers, N.C. Arms Producers, N.C. Orchards. N.C. Shipwrights and so on. Minister Vesik also declared that private and foreign owned companies have nothing to fear, as the state does not intervene in their normal functioning, but also stated that the government will give subsidies to private companies that voluntarily join together to form private owned corporations.
Loago: Prime Minister Jaak Manyika has signed a Concordat with the Saare and the Fante population, similar to the one signed in Saaremaa. He is already working to created a stable foundation for the Dominion so that it's economy and infrastructure can be modernized as quickly as possible. He has already unveiled plans for a new road system and a series of schools to be built for the Fante population. Minister of Economy Tafuma Iekanjika also started a program to group the national companies into corporations. The Manyika cabinet is the first all-Fante cabinet in the history of the Dominion.

Protesters gather in front of the Kadikistani Embassy

Protesters have gathered in a spontaneous demonstration in front of the Kadikistani Embassy to demonstrate against the policies of the Democratic Republic of Kadikistan, in regards to the blockade of the Republic of Justizia and to the theories circulating, that the terrorists that have attacked Imavere have been armed and funded by Kadikistan. The police and gendarmes have also arrived on the scene and are trying to pacify the citizens of Kuressaare, but currently they are no relenting. The Constitution of the Kingdom states that it is legal to hold a spontaneous demonstration, so both Mayor Andreas Ackerman and the chief of the Lounamaad Police, Commissar Artur Hendrikson have given their approval for the demonstration, as long as the laws of the Kingdom are respected by the protesters. The police has deviated traffic from the Vana-Kalamaja Street, through the Pirita Boulevard. The protesters have blocked all the entrances on the premise of the embassy through sit-ins.

"We want to see an end to the imperialist policies of Kadikistan! This monstrous country is spreading it's politics like a plague through the world. They are a bunch of hypocrites that say that they work for the people and the worker, but in reality it is a feudal absolute monarchy, whose only similarity with the ideology of socialism is found only in the rhetoric and that only rarely. That clique that holds power in Kadikistan, the Leninov dynasty is now devising plans to conquer the world. Yesterday they are blockading Justizia, a completely illegal movement that violates the sovereignty of the Justizan people! Today they are supporting criminals in Saaremaa and are arming them to attack us. In Imavere, the terrorists had Kadiki made weapons and they used them on our people. We need to react! We need to defend ourselves. I had a cousin that worked at the Viridian 1 Radio Station. She was shot in the shoulder by one of those traitors. It would be interesting to see if those who attacked were Saare traitors or Kadikis infiltrated in our country. We are here to put an end to all that. Saaremaa needs to recover it's sovereignty and it's pride. We need to fight back," stated the head of the protesters, Audun Birgerson, a Norse-Saare ethnic who was a member of the Party of the Left until the military coup d'etat of 1952 and is now the head of a political faction called "Citizens' Action for National Syndicalism".

The protesters have surrounded the embassy and burn Kadiki and red flags on the street. The head of the police, Artur Hendrikson, declared that the protest is legal and the concerns of the citizens are to be addressed, as the Unitarian and Royal Army has officially declared that most of the weapons the terrorists used in the attack were of Kadiki fabrication. He also stated and travelers should avoid the Vana-Kalamaja Street and reach downtown either through the Pirita Boulevard, going parallel with the sea, or through the Merimetsa Street.

35 terrorists arrested in UaRA Action

After the Attack on Imavere, the 3rd Unitarian and Royal Army has been alerted. A wide anti-terrorist operation has been organized under the leadership of Marshall Andrus Massing, called Operation Black Ice. The UaRA, together with the Maausk and Royal Militias (MaRM) and the Pohjamaad Police have organized filters on the streets across all the Imavere Kommuun, trying to find the terrorists that escaped from Imavere in the day of the attack. Through the filters, the police managed to arrest 11 terrorists who were trying to leave the city by bus or train, and 24 more terrorists were arrested in an action of the UaRA together with the Royal Bureau of Internal Counterespionage who managed to discover a conspiratorial house in the Laima district of the city, where the terrorists have gathered, preparing to leave the city. The prompt action and it's success has made Marshall Andrus Massing believe that the terrorist cell in Imavere has been neutralized.

"Today, the Unitarian and Royal 3rd Army, together with the Royal Bureau of Internal Counterespionage have organized a raid in what was believed to be a terrorist conspiratorial house in the Laima district of the city of Imavere. The raid was part of Operation Black Ice, in which the authorities are neutralizing the terrorists in Pohjamaad. Twenty Four terrorists were found in the apartment, planing to leave the city as quick as possible. When the soldiers stormed the apartment, two of them tried to get their weapons but were quickly put down and five of them tried to escape by throwing themselves out from the balcony. Two have managed to do so but have sustained injuries, falling from the third floor. One tried to hide in a drawer. The terrorists were apprehended and taken into custody. The Pohjamaad police has also organized filters in the whole Pohja region, the action leading to the arrest of 11 terrorists, all of them embarked on trains and pusses inbound for Ivernia, most probably going in Milesia," declared the spokesperson of the Pohjamaad Police.

The search for terrorists will continue in the whole country. The authorities are asking the citizens to cooperate and to report any suspicious activity.

Pohjamaad: The funeral for the victims of the Imavere Attack will take place today at the Municipal Cemetery.
Lounamaad: Anna Sepp has declared the reformation of the "A Right Saaremaa" Alliance, into the National-Syndicalist Union. She hopes that the new party will be successful in the June elections and if it will be to form the government, it will continue the hardline against communism that the National Unity Government had. The Maausk Democratic Party and the Progressive Alliance have both decided to join the newly created party, thus making it the biggest national party, from a number of members point of view.
International: Chancellor Anna Sepp will visit Ivernia to speak with Taoiseach Nuada Airgetlam in regards to the communist infiltration of Vaalbara and the War in Milesia.
Loago: King Alvar VI is visiting Loago. He has responded to the invitation of Premier Jaak Manyika. The King will begin touring Loago, visiting the cities of Bulawayo, Umtai and Umnyiati and visiting the construction site of the Kariba Dam. His visit will end with him presiding over the Military Parade in the capital, Maseru, in the 5th anniversary of the home rule. ​

"The reactionary regime in Kuressaare does not realize that its relentless repression of the Marxist-Leninovist elements within the nation's working class is only fuelling the hatred for the reinstated monarchy and strengthening the determination to stop it. The Party of the Left and its armed revolutionary wing is greatly respected in Kadikistan for their courageous struggle against the tyrant Alvar VI and his government of lackeys and we will continue to fiercely support their revolutionary endeavours. We do however officially deny that the Democratic Republic of Kadikistan is somehow guiding this popular uprising or even leading the Party of the Left. The Party of the Left was founded for the people of Saaremaa by the people of Saaremaa and remains so today unlike what both reactionary as revisionist propaganda would have us all believe. The same goes for the Promethean Revolutionary Army which was formed by the people to defend the people from their repressive regime.

As much as it would benefit the Kuressaare regime should all those who oppose the reactionary forces be 'foreign agents' we wholeheartedly disagree with that analysis. In fact it is dead-wrong. A large section of the Saaremaa working class has, under the guidance of the vanguard Party of the Left, become irreversibly aware of their socio-economic conditions. Those having realised the systematic exploitation of their labour by the hands of their corporatist-capitalist regime are naturally determined to take back the handles of production and redistribute the wealth. They will continue their independent struggle with or without the help of Kadikistan, but we are determined not to stand by idly as our comrades take on the reactionaries in Kuressaare. We will show our commitment and dedication to international Marxist-Leninovist solidarity. We are convinced that more and more people will rally towards the righteous causes in Saaremaa, but also in Justiza, Veniasufia and Milesia. The end of capitalism is historically inevitable, the era of Marxist-Leninovism is at hand."

Unitarian and Royal Army and Navy to enter Milesia

After meeting with the Taoiseach of the High Kingdom of Ivernia in Caladbolg, the Mormaer of the Kingdom of Cumbria, Rewan MacAndain has declared that the Cumbrian military is ready to intervene in Milesia, on behalf of the Imperial Ivernian Army. The 1st Unitarian and Royal Army has been put on high alert since the war in Milesia started, out of fear that the fighting might expand to cross the border into Cumbria. The Mormaer has proposed the military intervention to hasten the pacification of the province and to bring peace to the continent. The 1st Army is formed of the 1st and 2nd Mechanized Kerns Divisions and the 1st Armored Division "Epona" and is being commanded by the Supreme Commander of the UaRA forces in Cumbria Proper, Marshall Morgan MacPherson. The army will cross the border into Milesia and join the battle of Lowport, to lift the siege and help the Ivernian forces in the center of the city.

"A swift operation against republican and communist elements is what may bring an end to the Ivernish Civil War. Currently, the battle for Lowport can be said that it may be the most decisive moment of this war, considering how many assets have been deployed to the city, both from the republican and the Imperial sides. It is clear that the entrance of the Unitarian and Royal Army into this fight will be an immense relief for the Imperial forces an a grave problem for the republican-communist elements. The city of Lowport is besieged by the communists and they are in turn besieged by Imperial forces. Approaching the city from the east will put pressure on the republican besiegers from a completely different part of the city, something that will stretch their lines even more. We are confident that they will soon surrender to the superior Imperial forces," stated Marshall Morgan MacPherson.

There are some voices that protest against the hawkish politics of the National Unity Government, but the majority of the people are supporting the campaign of the Unitarian and Royal Army after hearing of the Kadikistani presence in Milesia. The Mormaer has also stated in a press conference that the terrorist organization called the Promethean People's Revolutionary Army might receive weapons from Kadikistan through Milesia. He stated that the fight against communism in Milesia is creating the premises for eradicating Marxism-Leninovism in Cumbria too.

The Unitarian and Royal Navy will also join the blockade organized by the navy of the Empire of Karintia-Harkany. From the southern fleet, the cruiser UCRS Siorc and the frigates UCRS Brus, UCRS Unuist and UCRS Eascann are to enter Milesian waters, join the Karintian fleet and stop any weapon shipments that are sent by sea to the republican-communist rebels.

National:: The Celtic Union formally ends it's opposition against the Kingdom of Cumbria and asks to join the National Unity Government by merging with the National Syndicalist Party. The Celtic Union was an extreme right-wing party that fought for the interest of the Ivernian people living in Cumbria. It declared an armed opposition against the military regime but when the dictatorship fell, it laid down it's arms, but it's leaders declared that they will continue to boycott the Royal Assembly through their absentia.
National:: The National Plan of Development and Security has been put together by the government of Mormaer Rewan MacAndain. The plan includes a series of programs to improve the life of the Cumbric people. The first effect of the adoption of the plan is the rising of the minimum wage by 10%, from 5,000,000 Bonns to 5,500,000 Bonns. A series of national strategic projects, a highway linking Pennsans to Naoned and one linking Sant Piran Truru and Naoned together with the creation of "New Secured Villages" will soon be presented as part of the NPDS.

Dun Eidyn prepares for Movie Festival

The Ministry of Culture, together with the local authorities of Dun Eidyn are preparing the International Movie Festival. The event, which is to be held between the 12th and 17th of March, has reached it's 5th edition. Since it was first organized, in 1952, the festival has attracted more and more people, more than 100,000 tickets being sold for the 5th edition of the festival. The Festival has achieved a cult status, becoming a showcase for the best European motion pictures, previewing new movies of all genres, including documentaries and animations from around the world. In those 5 editions it has become important for critical and commercial interests and for it's scope to sell movies based on their artistic quality, the main motto of the Festival being "Cinematography is art".

The Jury has been elected by the Ministry of Culture and are ready to give the following awards: Viridian Award for the best picture, Best Documentary, Best Animation, Best Short Film, Best Actor, Best Actress. After the screening of the feature films, all attendees are invited to complete a survey which will determine the motion picture that will win The Public Opinion Prize.

"We are eager to see what the world of cinematography will give us for this year. The event looks promising and and the festival will surely be bigger than ever. The National Corporation of Tourism and the Hotelier Corporation have already reported bigger incomes thanks to the people coming from all over the country and even from foreign countries to Dun Eidyn to participate at the festival. Our duty is to promote art and to give the peoples of the world something of quality to consume. Our whole civilization stands strong because of our culture. We must promote it, as our ancestors did. During the years, cinematography has become one of the most prominent cultural segments and we must be sure that we keep it away from low-quality comercialism. That is our mission and we hope that through this festival we are doing it well. The Ministry of culture does anything it can to not only the Cumbric culture and artistic values to the world, but it tries to become a gateway for artists all over the world to make their voices heard. They need to know that if they are in need of help, the Ministry of Culture, following the examples of Maecenas, wants to become the patron of artists all over the world," said the Royal Minister of Culture, Lachlann MacCaibe.

The Minister of Culture, together with the directors of the festival, the Mormaer and the mayor of Dun Eidyn have reaffirmed their stances and their perseverance to make Dun Eidyn the cultural capital of the world.

The Summer Fashion of 1956 has been presented today by the Venus Fashion House, part of the National Corporation of Textiles. In the exhibitions organized in Dun Eidyn, Dun Glas and Baile Steaphan, the great fashion designer and director of the Fashion House, Ceit Ros has shared her view for the summer collection proposing a palette of deux pieces for women in the urban collection and a series of skirts long to the knees with traditional motifs in the rural collection. She commented regarding the urban collection saying that "for the free and emancipated woman, wearing trousers is a must," whereas for the rural collection she declared that it mixes the modern shapes of the skirts with the traditional colors and decorations.

The Woad Guards are on alert against any potential action of the Prometheist People's Revolutionary Army. As part of the National Plan of Development and Security, four villages have been relocated from the coast, further inland, so that the Woad Guards can concentrate on defending the shores against any possible supply transports, mostly made of weapons, arriving by sea. The villages have been moved to a safer location so that the chances of their location to become witnesses to raids of the military and of the rebels are reduced to zero. The Government is giving each citizen relocated a pension equal to the difference in value between the lands they lost and the lands they were moved to and also to compensate for any moral damages that occurred during the relocation.

A rise of the metals and coal prices is expected after the intervention of the 1st UaRA in Milesia, as more resources mined from the province of Caledonia need to be sent to the military industry to support and supply the army, instead of being sent to the consumer industries. The National Corporation of Nickel Miners, together with the Caledonian Regional Corporation of Coal Miners and the Caledonian Regional Corporation of Iron Miners have received more orders from the Verrak Corporation, thus having to send a larger percentage of their resources to the military industry. They are expecting a boost in their income, but the people in general should expect a rising of the prices for heating, especially as the National Corporation of Heating will receive less coal. The NC of Oil Distribution have begun talks with the Propontine Empire to increase the volume of oil the Kingdom of Cumbria imports from them, so that there will be no chances of an oil shortage.

1st UaRA joined the battle of Lowport at the beginning of this week after months of negotiations with the Government of the High Kingdom of Ivernia. Led by the Marshall of Cumbria, Morgan MacPherson, the 1st UaRA has entered the eastern suburbs of Lowport. The scope of the battle is to lift the siege of the center of the city to help liberate the Ivernian Soldiers trapped there, together with the Burgundian volunteers that have joined the fight a few months ago. The operation is not without victims, as even from the first day, the UaRAF has lost a bomber over the city and all it's crew has been presumed dead. The resistance of the republican rebels is though, as not even now, the armed forces have not yet reached the crash site. Reports from the Medical Corps of the Unitarian and Royal Army have shown that there are currently 18 KIA and 4 MIA, totalling 22 casualties in 6 days.

The battle of Lowport reaches a dead end[FONT=&amp]

The battle of Lowport has not yet ended, even if the city is now a pile of debris and rubble in which humans still fight and try to live like rats. The Commonwealth intervention has been seen by many as a failed operation mostly because the Commonwealth army is not prepared for urban fight of such magnitude. As the casualties from our side are rising, the advance in the city has been described as being slow, if not outright stagnant. The piling of the soldiers returning from the front, dead of alive, with gruesome wounds or with shocking tales about the war is creating a stronger and stronger opposition against the intervention. This opposition is headed by a member of the Prometheist Volunteer Corps called Padrig Prigent, who created a peace movement he called K1, short of Komun1. The students and youth of the commonwealth are also stressed and nervous because there are rumors circulating which say that many will be conscripted to go to Milesia and fight the Marxist forces. Those rumors have been thoroughly denied by Lord Protector Alan Tanet and by the commander of the Cummonwealth Forces in Cumbria, Marshall Andras Seznec.

General Morgan MacPherson, the Commander of the CUMFORMIL, the Commonwealth Expeditionary Forces in Milesia has declared that he cannot continue the same offensive policies he had since the beginning of the battle, as the Cumbric Army is a modern flexible and highly maneuverable force, not prepared for urban attrition battles. The commander stated that a new policy of siege will replace the old one of storming the city. The Cumbric forces will end their operations to take the Cathedral and will retreat and fortify the Ridire Street so that any potential counterattack can be fended off. The General Staff has also called for the surrender of the rebel forces in Lowport, declaring that those surrendering to Cumbric forces will be taken into custody and their surrender will be taken into consideration when the war will end and the war trials begin, a word from the Cumbric General Staff having the power to bring an practical amnesty for those surrendering.

In the homefront, the students and youth have taken to the streets to protest against the war in Milesia. The members of K1 are condemning Cumbria's, Bougogne's and Kadikistan's interventionism and the stubborn way the leaders of Ivernia and Milesia prefer to kill and destroy each other without even thinking of a compromise. The demonstrators also shouted slogans against Marxism-Leninovism, calling it "Marxist in words, Slavery in practice" and also against corporatism and capitalism, calling for democracy in Kadikistan, Serenierre, Bourgogne, Ivernia and the Commonwealth. Protests have also taken place in Maseru, the capital of the Dominion of Loago, where the people took to the streets against Cumbria's participation in the war in Milesia.

Analysts have called the K1 movement a continuation of the beach hobo counterculture that now with the White Nights and the summer returning has boomed. Compared to the last two years, conservatives from the Country Party and also National-Syndicalists are concerned that the number of beach hobos has swollen two to even three times.

Prometheists call for end of political violence

As the Congress of the Prometheist People's Union is approaching it's end, the General Secretary, the honorable Katell Le Pen, MP for Sant Felix-Naoned has given a speech against political violence in which she attacked the recent events that took place in Kannex, Cymru and whose menace looms over Cumbria-Caledonia too. She condemned the fact that the People's Prometheist Party was too isolated and concentrated it's politics inward the Commonwealth and did nothing in the wider world.

She stated that the world is in a crisis now that the people prefer to support ideologies that are suppressing democracy over the desperate need of social security. Thus she condemns Marxist-Leninovism, calling it Marxist-Feudalism and describing it as "an ideology which doesn't understand Marxism, copies the idea of state-capitalism and then rolls back all political though till the middle ages". She condemns the fact that so many so-called left wing parties are attracted by the idea to kill the citizens they wish to protect only to get in power, in the end being more reactionary than all the other political groups and line of thoughts.

Le Pen also condemned the fact that Eiffellandian Social Democracy has distanced itself too much from the people and has called the Eiffellandians to rethink their ideological and political structure so that the SPD is not ossified nor obscurantist. She also called the SPD to create and alliance with the PPU so that they can bring together a renewed social ideology that returns to the grassroots of the movement.

Ending her speech, she called all the social-democratic, socialist and communist parties of the world to adopt Prometheism as an ideology and to renounce the Feudal Marxism supported by the Kadikistani royal dynasties.

Loago:: First Fante students graduated from the University of Maseru this June. This has been called a great victory by the Cumbrians in the fight against racism and ethnic discrimination, as the Wala and Fante are openly hostile to each other and since the Dominion was given Home Rule, the Wala population instituted an apartheid regime that through Cumbrian pressure is slowly liberalized and denounced.
International:: The state of Cymru was seen as neutral to outright hostile to the Commonwealth since the Commonwealth signed the Pact of Friendship with Ivernia and intervened on their behalf in Milesia. Even so, the right honorable Lord Protector Alan Tanet called for peace in Cymru and declared that he and the Commonwealth is ready to lend a hand, so that the Celtic World is clearly united in the face of Marxism-Feudalism.

Conan Meriadoc elected Chairman of the PPU

The Grand Congress of the People's Prometheist Union ended yesterday and has brought new actors into the main scene of the Commonwealth politics. The Honorable Alan Tanet, the Lord Protector of the Commonwealth has kept his promise and didn't run for the office of the Chairman of the PPU, leaving two main contenders for the post, Conan Meriadoc and Olibhia MacEalar. Alan Tanet was nominated as Temporary Chairman by the Party's Central Committee during the political crisis of 1954-1955. He became Lord Protector and headed a provisional government which will step down this July after the elections. The Lord Protector stated that this will be the last thing he will do in politics and after the elections he will retire after a career spanning for five decades, with ups - the signing of the Historic Accord, and downs - the 1954-55 crisis. Alan Tanet already said that he is eagerly waiting to move to a villa he bought situated on the coast of the Southern Thaumantic, on the outskirts of Maseru, the capital of the Dominion of Loago. Hamish Manyika, the Chancellor of Loago has already responded that he is happily receiving him.

Meanwhile, Cumbric politics leaves space to a new generation of politicians which have been characterized by a balanced approach of ideological idealism and political pragmatism. Conan Meriadoc has been a member of the Youth Wing of the Prometheist Union since he was 16 and he was part of the delegation that signed the Historic Accord. He has been represented as a more idealist politician who deeply respects the welfare system brought by the Historic Accord. His program is more centered on the ideological expansionism of Prometheism and with the expansion of the system. He also continues the policies of his predecessors, resisting the expansion of Marxism-Feudalism and presenting Prometheism as a functioning alternative to socialism.

Olibhia MacEalar became very early the Chairwoman of the PPU in County Pennsans. She presented her program as a more pragmatic one, supporting even the warming of the relations between the Commonwealth and Kadikistan. Contrary to what is happening on the streets with the K1 movement and the peace demonstrations, neither candidate brought forward the Milesia Problem.

In the elections that ended the Congress, Conan Meriadoc became the Chariman of the PPU, receiving more than 57% of the votes, whereas Olibhia MacEalar received only 43%. Conan Meriadoc will represent the PPU in the late July elections.

Police Headquarters in Roazhon bombed

The Democratic Revolutionary Army stroke again last night, bombing the Police Headquarters in Roazhon. The DRA is the armed wing of the Party of the Left, a Marxist-Feudalist party that is based in Kadikistan. It's ringleaders were either arrested or left the Commonwealth for Kadikistan after the DRA tried to start a civil war in Cumbria-Caledonia by attacking the city of Pennsans, the capital of Region Caledonia. At that time, they were defeated by the Prometheist Guards and the Police. Their plans have never been followed by the general populace, as the citizens are largely terrorized by their blood spilling actions.

The DRA has bombed the police headquarters in Roazhon, this time in Region Cumbria, by placing two homemade bombs in the secretariat of the institution. The bombs didn't kill nor wound anyone, but produced more than 150,000,000 Bonns in property damage. The DRA claimed responsibility in a letter sent to the NN redaction, signed by "Comrade Corentin of the Rurik Commando". The police has started patrolling the streets of Roazhon and the Commissioner of Interior, the Honorable Yannick Riou has stated that there is a reward of 100,000,000 Bonns given to citizen actions that lead to the arrest of a terrorist.

The meeting's main subject will be the general defense and security of the Vaalbara Continent in general of the two Brythonic nations in particular. As the elections are closing in, thePPU makes yet another move that shocks the analysts and electorate not yet used to their controversial changes. Conan Meriadoc, the Chairman of the Party has declared that he will candidate for the post of Chancellor of the Free State of Cumbria. It is for the first time in the Commonwealth's history when the Chairman of a party does not candidate for the Commonwealth government and prefers to become a Chancellor of one of the Free States. His nomination, Sabrina Corre will be the Prometheist People's Union candidate for the Commonwealth election.

While for the whole commonwealth, the PPU has Miss Corre, for the Free State of Cumbria they have Conan Meriadoc, now the party also nominated the runner up in the party elections to represent the party in the Free State of Caledonia. Olibhia MacEalar will represent the party in the Caledonian elections where she will participate for the Pennans (Caledonian: Dun Glas) Crovan Constituency.

For Loago, the PPU has a very small presence but keeps a close collaboration and alliance with the domiant party in the Dominion, the National Front led by Hamish Manyika. Even so, the PPU will participate in the Dominion's election by nominating Corentin Goremusandu for the post of Prime Minister.

The PPU is advocating a continuation of the welfare system and greater cooperation between the states forming the Commonwealth, especially between Cumbria-Caledonia and Loago. The Honorable Conan Meriadoc, the Chairman of the Party also stressed that Cumbria has shown itself as a cultural powerhouse in the world, Naoned becoming akin Chagny in the 19th century or Trier at the beginning of the current century. Keeping itself and it's people out of the war in Milesia, thus providing stability, Naoned is becoming a cultural capital of the Northern World. Now, Meriadoc calls for a greater economic and ideological presence of Cumbria in the world.

The party has nominated the Honorable Sabrina Corre, MP for Roazhon-Lesneven Constituency especially as she has her political roots in the movements that have created Kumun1 and the extra-parliamentarian protests in the country. The protests ended after the terrorist bombing in Roazhon and the attack it may change the way the Cumbrians and Caledonians are looking at the military intervention in Milesia.

The Country Party is also getting all it's cards on the table, this time changing the way they present their politics. The party ends it's fear mongering in relation to the Historical Accords and the potential hostility coming from the extreme right wing Ivernia and starts to accept it as a political reality of day-to-day Cumbria-Caledonia. The Chairman of the Party, the Honorable Mael Padrig Le Tallec, MP for Douar-an-Enez, said that the party needs to concentrate now on showing not why the new welfare system is bad for Cumbria, but on how the PPU is making mistakes in adopting and respecting it.

Analysts have commented on the fact that through this, Le Tallec is changing the way the party will present itself at the election, not as an Anti-Prometheist one, but as a Prometheist Anti-PPU Party. "If you want to reduce corporate and communal taxes, as Le Tallec always said before, you need to reduce the expenditure with the welfare, if you want to keep the welfare, you cannot reduce the state's income. Through this, we see that what the Country Party will be about at those elections is actually Prometheism without Premetheists. Thus the change they want to do will now be in external policies, saying that for the country it would be better to reduce the international presence and thus concentrate on the internal problems the country has, one of the most important being immigration in Cumbria-Caledonia from Loago. With this the party hopes to also win some of the votes of Kumun1 supporters," stated Annick Prigent, political analyst.

The Communist Party is a new party, created this summer by ex-members of the Party of the Left. Led by Aoife Caomhan, the majority of the members split from the Party of the Left when the party started the so-called revolution and then left to Kadikistan.

Loago

The National Front is the main party that will dominate the elections of Loago again, as Hamish Manyika candidates again for the post of PM of the Dominion of Loago. It is the fourth time he participates and polls present him as surely the next PM of the Dominion. There have been voices that are condemning him saying that he will remain PM until he will die and that he manages to stay in power with the help of the Cumbrian community which sees him as a "local chieftain lacking anti-white sentiment". Nevertheless, the National Front is still popular after 15 years it stood in power, as it was the main party that promoted the interest of the natives in Loago and led the home rule movement. The party is supporting the continuous development of the Himyari nation by creating a stable market and promoting cooperation between Cumbrian, Caledonian, Wala and Fante peoples.

The PPU is also present in Loago, the Loagin branch being led by Corentin Goremusandu. The Honorable Goremusandu was one of the first Wala to come to study to Cumbria at the Naoned Polytechnic and now he has returned, a Metallurgical Engineer to Loago, to try to implement in his native lands what he saw in Cumbria. When the alliance between the National Front and the PPU's main branch was signed, the National Front adopted much of the Prometheist policies, thus stealing much of the electorate of the PPU's Loagin Branch.

The Country Party is a minor party in Loago, mainly fighting for the interest of the Cumbrians and Caledonians. The Loagin Branch of the CP also wants to reverse the Home Rule Accords and to disband the Dominion and to reverse it back to the days of the Limestone Coast Colony.

Sabrina Corre, the first Lady Protector

The Common Electoral Agency has published the results of the votes for the Commonwealth General Election and for the Regional Election. In the Commonwealth General Election, the Prometheist People's Union has kept their superiority in the Common Assembly in Naoned. The PPU received 66%, the CP - 29%, The Liberal Party - 4%, The Communist Party 1%. With those results, Sabrina Corre, the nominee from the PPU is the first woman becoming the head of state and government of the Commonwealth of Cumbria, Caledonia and Loago. It is for the first time in which the office of Lord Protector changes into the one of Lady Protector.

The new Lady Protector stated that she will work closely with whomever wins the regional elections. Miss Corre also stated that the national project started by Alan Tanet, to keep Cumbria a cultural superpower will continue under her supervision and she will also work to make the Commonwealth an important economical power in the North.

"I wish to thank the peoples of Cumbria, Caledonia and Loago for their support and faith in me and Prometheus. We will continue to do everything humanly possible to make the Commonwealth a great power. The people of Cumbria-Caledonia and Loago are deserving the benefits of our economical system and we will continue to guard it and improve it. As for the security concerns, the Iron Wall program will start in my tenure and thus the people of Cumbria and Caledonia can be sure, that no terrorist will ever cross the border again and will never attack us again," stated Sabrina Corre in a press conference held after the results went public.

The victory of the PPU in the general elections promise a more hawkish attitude of the Commonwealth in external politics, the PPU leaders expressing their wishes to see the War in Milesia end and the threat of communist terrorism eradicated.

PPU and Country Party Share Regional Election Successes

As the results from the election have been published by the Common Electoral Agency, it has been shown that both the main parties of the Commonwealth can boast with some successes. For the first time in the regional parliamentarian elections, the Country Party managed to break Prometheist domination in the Caledonian Free State. In the north, the CP has managed to win 56% of the votes. With this, the CP managed to break the PPU domination of the Cumbrian-Caledonian politics since the signing of the Historic Accords and thus it has shown that the centrist CP can still go strong, even if many of the analysts thought that the party was on the verge of collapse and already predicted a Prometheist domination of the Commonwealth politics going strong until the end of the century.

With the 56% of the votes, the Country Party will receive after the redistribution 65 out of the 101 MPs from the Caledonian Parliament in Dun Glas. Sean Blacach, the Chariman of the Caledonian Brach of CP will now become Toiseach of Caledonia for the second time. He has already prepared a list of potential members of the new government.

The Prometheist People's Union (Caledonia) had one of it's largest defeats in it's history, winning only 33% of the votes and receiving 24 MPs. The local Staite na h-Chaledonia Party won 11% of the votes and will receive 12 MPs.

In Cumbria, the PPU maintained it's powerful stronghold and became even more successful after the "Roazhon Fortress", the nickname of County Roazhon and it's traditionally CP backing constituencies has been broken and the PPU took them all.

Winning 65% of the votes, the PPU received 228 seats in the Cumbrian Parliament in Naoned. Thus, the new Benadur of Cumbria is Conan Meriadoc, replacing the retiring Loic Stivell. The Country Party won 30% of the votes, thus receiving 105 MPs, The Liberal Party won 4.5% thus receiving 16 MPs and the Communist Party won 0.5%, receiving one member, who won in the Constituency of Sant Piran Truru III.

In Loago, the National Front won 80% of the votes, receiving 100 MP in the Loagin Parliament in Maseru. They were followed by the PPU, who won 10%, receiving 12 MPs, the CP with 5.5%, receiving 6 MPs and the Fante Nation League with 4.5%, receiving 5 MPs.
